(Medea.)

Amicus looked at the humans with both disdain and interest. Any magical creature, no matter their role or level of power in life was aware of humanity. He was also aware of their danger to said magical creatures.

"Remind me why we are ok with the humans being here and knowing there's a witch here?" Amicus asked Metallia as the witch looked at him. "We are well aware of what humanity can do when it comes to their power. The fact that there are soldiers here means there must be more around here as well." Amicus added while he crossed his arms.

Metallia frowned as she started to formulate an answer. She was well aware of the fact that humanity ruled a small empire nearby. The fact that Amicus considered them a threat was not without its merit.

But she was a witch, a powerful one. This was HER territory; SHE had all the power here to do what she wanted.

"Aw, is someone scared of the humans?" Metallia asked which got a roll of the eyes. "If they were so dangerous? I'd destroy them. The swamp kills anything that comes into it, Am's. They wouldn't be able to do a damned thing here without me knowing, anyway." Metallia stated as her servant crossed his arms at her.

"So, you can call me 'Am's', but nobody in the world can call you anything but Metallia?" Amicus asked before the sound of footsteps turned their attention to the stairs.

"Alicino," Amicus stated as he rested his scythe on his shoulder. "Thinking of more ways to kill Metallia again?" Amicus asked with a raised eyebrow.

There was a bit of venom in his words which Metallia picked up on as she turned towards the demon. She blinked before the metal monster started to speak.

"I can assure you if I was indeed attempting to murder Master Lia? I'd do it more quietly." Alicino stated to which Metallia had a fiery blaze in her eyes.

"MET-ALL-IA!" Metallia hissed before she rolled her eyes. "Amicus? There's a pillar at the edge of the swamp. I need it for the dog girl's medicine." Metallia added to which the demon turned towards her.

"On the EDGE of the swamp?" Amicus questioned, planting a clawed hand on his hip as he did so. "Why is that out of your reach? The swamp is massive." Amicus added to which his friend said nothing.

She started to roll her eyes as she started to think of what happened next. The area was indeed within her power, but something had appeared to block her power in a certain area.

"There's a beast near the pillar that's stopping me from teleporting there," Metallia stated as the warrior raised an eyebrow. "Without that? I cannot move there." Metallia added to which he nodded towards her.

"This still sounds like a war that we need soldiers," Amicus responded before he opened the door. "I'll handle it, but if there is something wrong? Call me. This light work is beginning to become boring." Amicus said before he vanished into the swamp while he started to think of what happened next.

The Swamp Witch was entirely curious about what caused the outburst from the demon king. There was entirely something missing which she would ask when it came down to it.

Still? She had guests to entertain and there were witch soldiers to create for said war. She also started towards the bookcase. She was entirely curious when it came to the balance of power on the planet, it grew every single day with the pillars constantly popping up.

Amicus was a powerful weapon and servant, but his respect for her didn't seem forced. He was surprised that she had managed to get him to serve her. Metallia was also aware that NO witch had managed to defeat or subdue Amicus who commanded plenty of power and who was a strong king.

'What will he do when I die? Will he go back to ruling the armies of demons that he rules over?' Metallia thought to herself as she did so.

The fact that he had been cowed so damned easily said a lot for him as of this moment. he had honestly wished to understand how she had done something of that manner. It was a charm or such that not once did he understand. Yet? It was still a charm that had rendered him far more docile than he expected to be. Either she had mastered magic, or there was simply a power in this world that she had tamed with only raw power and talent.

If that was indeed true? He wished to ponder more on how such a thing was honestly possible. She hadn't the power… Did she do something he hadn't predicted that chained his power to her? it hadn't been an idea he hadn't considered as of now. The food for thought had honestly picked his brain over and over.

He crossed his arms across the front of his body while Metallia pondered how best to proceed. They had armies on all sides to battle when it came down to it. She had plenty of power and yet she still needed to ponder while he glanced as of her was rather interested when it came down to it. She was rather interested in what to do next if she had managed to find more soldiers in the area while he nodded to himself. Her minion had other minions that were far more capable of battle and conquest. Yet if she had summoned them to this realm. There was rather an interest in this contest and how to do this.

She was rather hoping that he offered aid. The gaze at her had made him wonder. He was rather well aware of how he glanced at her and how he seemed to protect her. This was a warrior who had been a soldier

There was a sigh while he tapped at his nose and seemed to glance towards her once more. He was rather happy at the coming conflicting ideas as to how to handle this. He sighed and leaned on the table.

He ran a hand across the wall and seemed to sigh at the fact that he was interested in the next move to come. There was far too little of an empire they had to handle this sort of business. It came down to dozens of topics in said tactics which meant more battles in their future that hadn't once meant to cross into the next realm.

"What honestly happens if we don't battle them when they come here? The next witch honesty seems to be ready for if we hit them before they're ready. I'm not sure how the ball will hit in that court when it comes down to it. they will be ready for the army. We need to hit them head-on." Metallia heard as she raised an eyebrow. "If they are this powerful? We need proof of the power that they cannot deny. If we simply bac down? they will think that the attack is entirely weak. They will not see it as something to respect when it comes down to it." Amicus said while he frowned at it.

He tapped the sword on the floor while he smiled to himself. She was as much of a warrior as she was. He was not once one to stop and try and back down. a challenge such as this? It was something she'd wait an entire eternity for if he was all, to be honest to himself. Battles in this reality were something that he lived for. It was a contest in which to shape his form. He wanted this as it stood. He wanted this and he needed to find some sort of plan to get what he wanted the second. The more he considered it?

This plan would work soon or later, he'd get all the power he wanted. She had simply become an odd little plant on the road… But not one couldn't find it somewhat amusing and enjoyed being around.

He tilted his head back and forth at Metallia as she seemed to glance around with amusement at the time. There was something off about this place and its inhabitants, but he couldn't exactly fathom it. This place had been odd at the time and it became odder with each second.

"Your brain hurts, doesn't it?" Metallia snarked as she watched him turn away as he glanced around at what happened. There was so much to unpack.

"Only a little, there's so much going on," Amicus stated before he turned away with some interest. "We both know what will happen if we're not given the chance to expand," Amicus stated before he rolled his eyes himself and sighed.

"Didn't we go over this three times?" Amicus heard as he walked further into the swamp. "We both know I'm going to die soon, why are you trying hard to keep me alive? Miss me being in charge so much you can't accept I'm going to die sooner or later?" Metallia asked with a smirk.

Amicus only rolled his eyes at this, he continued forward while resting his scythe across his shoulder.

"Because you're far too interesting to let die. If you die? I might also die and we know that. Do you really think I'll let you die just so I have a 50% chance of actually living? That's either stupid or you're not dying, are you? Amicus stated before he sighed to himself.

There was a tilt of his head which made him honestly seem as if he was going to be mad. There was very little that could have been done, very little that stopped him from taking her down.

"You know damn well I could have killed you by now if I wanted. You want an answer so badly why I don't? dwell on it for a few hours and come back to me. There are so many reasons I don't kill you, but I don't think I need to tell you." Amicus stated before he tilted his head to the side.

"There's a lot more about when it came down to it," Amicus said, cracking his fingers. "There's so much coming at the moment. I sense a lot more than just a few witches coming to the doorstep. You don't sense the war coming?" Amicus questioned while he raised an eyebrow and seemed to glance around at what surrounded him.

There was more coming to the swamp. Something that made him question his sanity.

Metallia seemed to fall silent as this came to her mind. She had questioned why he cared for her orders. He was a demon king, or at least she had heard he was one. His ruthless sieges on the rest of the galaxy had been something that she wanted at the moment, all the power in the galaxy, all the abilities that he had under his thumb.

Yet he hadn't lost his cunning mind. That was clear. Why else would he try so hard to attempt to manipulate her? It had been far too much of a hassle for him to spare her. The more she considered it at the end of the road? The more she considered this to be a fool's errand that had become a hassle at the time.
