You're a riot, Master! Those trees didn't know what hit them!

This isn't funny! Sona got really mad at me. And now I have to clean the council room for the next two months.

Totally worth it though.

Care to explain what that was though? I felt like me, but not me.

When you first include, the influx of memories can be a bit overwhelming. You were basically a mix of me and yourself. Next time, you'll have a far better handle on yourself.

I see. So do I just call you Rider or do you want to be called your real name?

Call me Kintoki. I was never one of those servants who cared for being all secretive. S'long as I can have fun, I don't particularly care what happens.

Got it. So like, where are you talking from?

Your mindscape. You can visit it if you meditate. It's this huge woodland with a nice lake in it. And there are houses. Each house contains another spirit. All of them are locked right now though. Grumpy bastards don't want to try talking to you yet.

Which means . . .?

What that means is that you can only use my card right now. At least until the others decree you worthy or whatever.

Wonderful.

"You look remarkably smug today, Sona," Rias said from across the table. "Something good happen?"

"You could say that."

"Spill."

She smiled softly. "I got a new Rook."

"What?!"

"Yeah. Long story short, I was approached by a mugger. Kid gave his life to save me, even if I didn't really need it. I felt awful about him dying and tried to make him my Pawn. Didn't work. He was too strong. In the end, he became my Rook and I discovered he had one hell of a Sacred Gear - check, by the way."

Rias never could beat her in a game of chess.

The red haired woman merely shoved the board aside and locked eyes with her. "What kind of gear?"

"Kyousuke!" she shouted before the door to her student council room and opened and he stepped in.

"Show Rias what you can do."

He nodded.

"Include - Rider!"

The same electricity and gloves from before, but without the personality shift.

"He's got eight of those cards," she said as he glanced in his direction. "Each has a different power. Though according to him, only one feels like cooperating right now."

"That's not fair," Rias whined. "Why do you get him?!"

"Because you have your eyes on the Boosted Gear user."

Rias rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but. At least your guy is a gentleman! He hasn't looked at my chest once!"

"That's because the President is cuter," he said without hesitation.

Sona choked on her water. Where the hell did that come from?! Little did she know that he was receiving advice from a certain Rider.

She shook her head. It's not like that was anything new. Even if it sounded oddly sincere coming from him. No lecherous vibes or anything.

She really did find a golden egg.

Rias, on the other hand, looked like someone who slapped her. "A-Are you saying I'm not pretty?!"

Kyousuke shook his head. "No, that's not it at all. It's just that you're not my type, Rias-san. Please don't be offended."

Sona chose to ignore the fact that she heard Rias mumble something along the lines - "Well, you're my type" - because she was not having this conversation right now.

For some reason, she felt like the following school year was going to be one to remember.

Kuoh Academy. He had gotten in and was immediately made a member of the Student Council. This, unfortunately, had the effect of a lot of the girls gushing over how handsome he was. Since as a member of the council, he was naturally someone that people noticed. He just waved it off and once he learned that a certain Kiba suffered the same problems, found a brother in arms.

Oh and there was this Issei kid and his two friends who really hated him for something. Kintoki told him to punch them. He was promptly ignored.

"Kyousuke-kun! Are you single?!"

"Kyousuke-kun! Wanna get something to eat?!"

"Kyousuke-kun! Have my babies!"

He was beginning to resent Sona for bringing him back. Death was preferable to this. He hated fangirls. Which is interesting because he had never seen them before. Did becoming a devil increase his attractiveness level or something?

"You!" the one known as Issei pointed at him.

"Me," he said in response.

"Go away! We don't need another charming prince around here!"

"Is that any way for a Senpai to treat his Kouhai?"

"With my authority as a Senpai, I demand you vanish!"

"Issei-senpai. I'm a member of the Council. I could get you expelled."

He walked forward and gently patted the boy on the shoulder. "Girls like a guy with confidence who doesn't try to objectify them. Perhaps tone down the perverted stuff?"

Issei looked offended. "I will never give up the precious Oppai!"

He shrugged. "I weep for you. Truly, I do."

Paying no mind to Issei's squawking, he turned the corner and almost ran into a short white haired girl. He could instantly tell she was a devil.

"Heya. You're a Freshman too, right?"

She nodded. "Koneko."

"Kyousuke. Nice to meet you, Koneko-chan."

She nodded again and walked away, her expression having never changed. What a strange girl. But he didn't dislike her. Her quiet personality reminded him of Sona. Shit, maybe he had a thing for quiet girls. Then again, he found this girl cute in a different way. The 'I want to cuddle and call you Imouto' way. Maybe he'd try and befriend her later?

He was distracted by perverted giggling coming from the nearby girl's locker room.

Hm. Maybe I'll punch Issei after all.
