pink paladin; tysm for ur review! I'm very excited to get into her backstory as well! and yes haha, she is a dragon slayer so i'll leave the blood thing to your imagination but it's definitely not far from the truth:)-(also ur review inspired me to update this a lot faster so again ty :)))))

Inside the Temple of Galuna tensions were beginning to rise high. Gray Fullbuster was facing off Lyon Vastia, who had deemed himself the Cold Emperor and made it his life goal to defeat the demon Deliora. Natsu Dragneel, who for once worked to have something destroyed, was attempting to apprehend the wizard who managed to bring an entire temple back to a stable state.

And Seraphina Yuna was chasing down the mage who had rolled her eyes at her.

They had been going down the hallway for what seemed to be forever now and Seraphina frowned, where was she taking her? It didn't matter, she was going to kick her ass all the same.

Wait…

The lavendette skrted to a stop and glared down the hallway towards Ember, who was now looking back at her with interest. Why did she suddenly decide to stop chasing her?

"I'm not following you down any further," Seraphina declared. She hadn't even realized until about two seconds ago, but she was just getting played. Ember wanted to take her as far away from the top of the temple as possible, so the moon drip would be completed without interference.

Ember turned around completely, "and why is that?"

"Hmpf," Seraphina huffed out childishly, "you know exactly why."

"Hmm," Ember hummed melodiously and Seraphina took this as her opportunity to study her. Much of her face was covered by that ugly mask, but the skin underneath was lightly tanned. Her hair was a deep red and was plaited perfectly on her right side. Ember was quite intimidating, but it wasn't due to the fact that she was taller than Seraphina.

Ember was staring at her and her gaze felt almost... predatory.

"Well," Seraphina began breaking the awkward silence, "it's been real, and I really appreciated our game of tag. We should play again some other time! But I really must be going now, thank you, bye-bye!"

She then turned around and ran off in the opposite direction, if she got to the top she would be able to stop the moon drip and Deliora from waking. Plus, even if curiosity always killed the cat she really wanted to know what incentive Ember had left for poor, weird, Toby. It really didn't seem that fun, especially considering Ember said he didn't have a choice; whatever that meant.

The ground in front of Seraphina began to shift, and she didn't notice until she tripped over a huge pile of rubble. She quickly put her hand in front of her to do a backhand spring in order to get back on her feet, but the ground below churned before turning into a raging pit of lava.

Seraphina's eyes widened and she felt her heart begin to race, she certainly didn't want to touch that with her bare hands.

"Flash Boost!" she called out desperately. That move wasn't nearly as effective as it would've been if she had started from the ground, but it was enough. With the added momentum Seraphina was able to make it over the lava and land safely on the ground beyond it.

"My my," Ember called out haughtily, "you managed to avoid my lava."

Seraphina pursed her lips and looked back to the smoking coals of earth that were once a fiery red, "well, it wasn't that hard," she then giggled, "I mean call me crazy if you want, seriously if you want to you can I promise I won't get sad, but I feel like you can do a lot more."

"As appealing as that offer sounds I do have to reject it," the mage said as she walked closer to Seraphina and even behind the mask she could finally see her eyes, a sharp yellow that glowed almost as bright as her lava. "I really can do so much more."

Ember then smirked, "You certainly are smarter than you seem, Seraphina Yuna. You know much of the magical world sees you as a dimwitted, albeit quite talented, airhead."

"Oh really~" Seraphina hummed, though there was a hard edge she was trying very hard to hide. She was really worried about the direction this conversation could go, and she was even more worried that Ember would know certain… things about her. "And where did you get that from?"

"Well, Sorcerer Weekly, of course," Ember continued before putting a finger on her chin, "if I remember correctly Jason had a column highlighting wizards who used light as a basis for their attacks. You were described as 'the Flash Mage who's light is far brighter than she is', or something along those lines."

Seraphina crossed her arms and looked away from Ember with a pout, "I'm pretty sure 'stunning' was sprinkled in there as well."

"Mmm, and you're full of yourself, nice to know."

"You're making me seem like Lucy!"

"Anyways," Ember cut in, "I really would love to stay and chat. However, I am on a very important mission and I must ensure Deliora gets revived. You see, I have a very important group to impress, and completing this task will allow me to prove my worth."

A red magic circle then formed in front of her, "I must be getting rid of you now. Goodbye."

Ember snapped and the ground in front of her began to bubble. Seraphina backed up as she felt the temperature rise as more and more lava was produced. She really felt tempted to stick a hand in, but decided against it, this already felt hotter than even Natsu's fire.

"You are wise to avoid my lava," Ember said, taking notice of Seraphina's apprehension. "It is as hot as the core of Earthland."

"Wow," Seraphina sighed, staring down at the lava as she fought the urge to stick her hand in. "It's so beautiful though!"

Ember knit her brows, maybe she gave Seraphina too much credit for being smart earlier. "You won't be saying that when you're burnt to a crisp, now rise! Magma Wave!"

The lava rushed towards Seraphina in a torrent of flaming rocks and gas. The lavendette smirked and bathed herself in her Flash Magic before jumping up.

"Flash Boost!"

With her added speed Seraphina was able to soar over the rouge colored wave. The heat emanating off of it was absolutely insane, she didn't even know the earth was that hot inside of it's core or whatever. She was very glad she didn't live in it, that was just too much.

She smirked upon noticing the slight look of shock that crossed Ember's face, for some weird reason she had taken her mask off, but whatever. Seraphina continued to use her magic and headed straight for the lava mage.

"Flash Beam!"

A hyper focused stream of light flew from Seraphina's hands to make contact with Ember, however at the very last second a wall of earth erected itself in front of her.

The wall burst when it made contact with Seraphina's light and her jaw dropped, wasn't Ember supposed to be using lava magic?

"I forgot to mention," Ember said with a cocky smirk, "my magic utilizes every aspect of the earth, I bend it to my will essentially. Lava and magma are just a molten form of rock, as long as it's earth it's fair game to me!"

She then gestured her hands in front of her, "Pillars!"

The temple's floor began to split and Seraphina almost lost her balance. She grit her teeth and jumped around avoiding the rising pillars of rock that would surely crush her into the ceiling.

"Okay! I've come to a decision, I do not like your magic!"

"Well, that's just cruel!" Ember replied, before raising both of her hands, the ground in front of her beginning to rise and break off from the rest of the platform. "You should apologize!"

Seraphina shrieked as a monster sized chunk of rock was flung at her. She jumped up high and her hands landed on the top of the rock, and she used her arms to push herself forward— right to Ember.

The lavendette landed on the ground and punched Ember right in the jaw, sending the taller girl flying. Seraphina grinned and rushed forward ready to attack her further but a bright light exploded into existence right on top of her.

Seraphina yelled out in pain and felt herself flying back. She crashed onto the floor before weakly pushing herself up and looking around the room in confusion.

"The moon drip?"

That had to have been what had attacked her earlier, as she kinda knew what to expect from Ember at this point. Seraphina looked at the moonlight intrigued, so even though it was dispelling magic it harmed her when she got caught in its embrace. Interesting.

Ember grinned, "It's nightfall, Deliora is so weak that it won't be too long before he's awakened. After that it's going to be a good old game of double crossing for who gets control of the demon."

Seraphina turned to Ember and frowned, "Why would you tell me that? You just spoiled your own plan,"

She shook her head and sighed, "see, this is why bad guys never win the fight! You always end up spoiling exactly what you plan to do! And you called me dimwitted."

Ember clenched her fist, "I'm the one that said you are smarter than you seem!"

"Hmpf, whatever," Seraphina continued, "now since you spoiled your plan I guess that you and Lyon really aren't buds? What did you and the Zalty guy or whatever conspire against him?"

"You almost got it, you see I plan to backstab Zalty too," Ember grinned, "imagine the power one would have with the Demon Deliora under their control. The group I'm involved with is already immensely strong, with a Demon from the Book of Zeref along our side we'd be unstoppable!"

Ember rolled her eyes before continuing, "Lyon is a weak fool, it'll be so easy to take the demon from him. As for Zalty… that might be a small issue but once I get back to my leader it won't be a problem anymore… he can be very convincing."

Seraphina felt her heart drop when she heard that… could it be? It was most definitely a possibility, especially with everything else she had said. However, the odds of Ember being involved with them and on Galuna Island was so slim that Seraphina wanted to hope for the best.

"That's so annoying," Seraphina laughed, "so just because you'll have some stupid ugly demon on your side doesn't mean anything. They'll always be wizards who will stop you."

Her words then took on a far more somber tone, "plus a demon that dangerous will only kill people," she then remembered what Gray told them in the forest. Deliora had terrorized the town he grew up in, and he was the sole survivor of the demon's attack. His mother, father, all of his friends and neighbors gone- because of Deliora. Then to make matters worse when Gray had gone after the demon as an act of revenge his Master Ur died by performing a powerful spell to seal him away for good. Gray had lost so much, and there was no way Seraphina could just stand by when someone threatened to bring back to life what was the cause of all his early hardship.

Seraphina's eyes narrowed dangerously. "I'm not going to let you guys hurt someone like that, and by using Deliora. Ever."

She rushed towards Ember who just laughed, "I'd like to see you try Fairy!"

The ground below then erupted into a pit of lava once again. Seraphina grit her teeth before jumping on the wall and running across it as fast as she could. Ember gestured with her hands and then the wall began to crack and separate.

"Flash Boost!"

Seraphina burst off just as a spire of earth threatened to send her flying into the churning lava. She had her eyes set on her target, and she was going to make it.

Ember frowned as she prepared to hit Seraphina with a chunk of rock, but surprisingly the Flash Mage skipped right over her.

Seraphina had her eyes fixated on the purple light travelling through the moon temple. The Moon Drip, an immensely powerful spell that could effectively melt the magic of the Iced Shell.

And it was how Seraphina was going to win this fight and stop Deliora from awakening.

When the moon drip had attacked her Seraphina felt a rush of magical energy course through her, and the overwhelmingness of that had caused her to fall back. Though the moon drip was dispelling magic there was something in common with her own, its source was Light.

She could channel the energy of the moon drip through her, take out Ember and keep the moon drip away from Deliora until the ceremony was over. That way Deliora would never awaken, and no one would have to be hurt.

Seraphina recognized that her aim was quite ambitious; she might not even be able to complete it at all. The moon drip spell was powerful and her body may not be able to handle it.

She pursed her lips and determination rooted within herself, she had to handle it. Deliora couldn't be allowed to awaken. No one should have to get hurt by that demon; especially Gray.

He had accepted her apology but for some reason Seraphina still couldn't get his words out of her mind. Gray obviously had a great deal of guilt settled within him, and Seraphina knew a thing or two about that. But the thing that really got her was that Gray was actually innocent.

Unlike certain people.

So, Seraphina was going to do everything in her power to make sure that he didn't have to go through the pain of seeing that horrid demon alive ever again.

"Excuse me," Ember called out, "did you forget we're fighting?"

Seraphina turned around and grinned, "nope, don't worry still got that down."

She stuck her hand in the torrent of magic energy and immediately keeled over; the spell was just so powerful. Seraphina frowned up to the sky where supposedly Toby was the only one performing the ceremony. She certainly didn't wanna know how strong the magic would've been if the whole group was casting the spell.

Seraphina then smiled, and to think it had taken them three years so far to get to the point Deliora was at now. Ur was an insanely talented wizard, even in her current form.

"What are you doing!" Ember seethed while creating a couple of small boulders that she planned to hurl at the Flash Mage. "Are you trying to kill yourself? Because I was just about to do that for you. Or are you trying to get a nice pair of dog ears like Toby?"

Ember gestured her hands forward and sent the rocks flying towards Seraphina at sonic speed, she took a breath but stood her ground.

Before thrusting her other hand out and allowing the moon drips energy to course within her before escaping through her other arm. A beam of light the same purplish hue of the moon drip destroyed the rocks Ember had hurled at her, and was continuing to head to the Lava Mage.

Ember's eyes widened and she attempted to put a wall in front of her, but the Moon Drip quickly dissipated that and whatever other rocks she had prepared. She jumped to the side and cursed: as long as Seraphina was channeling the moon drip through her there was no magic she could throw at her that would work due to the nature of the spell.

She wondered if she could create a pit of lava right where Seraphina was standing, and Ember almost went through with the plan- before a deep roar shook the entire temple.

A twisted smile passed Ember's lips and she barked out in laughter, she had won. Deliora was alive, Lyon was defeated, and hopefully Natsu Dragneel the Fire Dragon Slayer could keep Zalty, or Ultear from Grimoire Heart as she knew her, occupied until she could get in contact with her own guild.

Seraphina frowned and stepped back from the Moon Drip… she failed. There had just been too much energy for her to control, and now Deliora was alive.

A ringing noise then sounded out in her head and she grit her teeth in pain as she held her hand around her head. The fact that she had channeled such a spell through her was settling in and she was starting to feel a bit faint.

"Seraphina!"

She whipped her head around and squinted before grinning. All the way down the hall she saw the figures of Erza, Lucy, and Happy heading towards her.

With a smirk on her face Seraphina turned to face Ember who was glaring at her. There was no way she was going to win a fight against all of them.

"We'll meet again Seraphina Yuna," Ember snorted, "and if I'm feeling generous I'll let you choose if you get crushed or cooked alive."

Ember waved her hands and disappeared into the rocks, Seraphina walked over and frowned. The hallway was now completely ruined and she almost felt bad about it, but she could just blame it on Ember and her annoying magic.

"Woah, what happened here?" the very familiar voice of Lucy sounded out. Seraphina turned around and smiled,

"Hmm, you wouldn't believe it! I fought a volcano monster!"

"Seriously?"

"The Moon Drip must've rotted her mind!" Happy cried out as he flew around in circles, "I knew she'd be the first to go! Don't worry Lucy you were a close second."

"Gee, thanks," the blond retorted, "that's very reassuring."

Seraphina looked at the furry blue cat and snatched him out of the sky,

"Awh, Happy you're so cute!

"Unhand me crazy woman!"

Seraphina laughed as she held Happy in her arms and rubbed his head. He was so annoying, yet so sweet and fun so it was hard to actually get mad at him.

A shiver then ran through the lavendettes spine as a certain glare heeded her attention. Seraphina turned sheepishly to meet the demanding eyes of Erza Scarlet.

"What really happened here?" Erza questioned, she then frowned and began running off in the direction where the stairs would lead to the bottom of the temple. "Get a move on! Tell me everything now!"

"Well the mon-"

"And nothing about Volcano Monsters!"

Seraphina pouted, "it's not that far from the truth… hmph meanie."

She then began to regale her experience fighting Ember, all while running down the temple as fast as they could. Deliora's fear inducing roar sounded out once again, causing tremors all around them, and it got worse the closer they got downstairs. And on their venture Seraphina couldn't help but feel a bubble of insecurity, if even Gray's master Ur couldn't destroy this demon then who could?

Only a certain spell…

Seraphina immediately doused herself in her Flash magic and used it to zoom down the halls and stairs of the temple. He was going to try and do it again. Gray was going to try and use Iced Shell.

She was surprised she hadn't felt the chill of his magic yet, with a spell as powerful as that one she would've known if he had cast it.

That meant she still had a little bit of time.

Seraphina finally reached the cave that held the demon and was frozen in a moment of shock and awe. Deliora seemed a lot bigger now that he was out of that ice, and scarier too. She would've stayed in that state if not for the temperature starting to drop, and the familiar magic energy of Gray Fullbuster beginning to build.

"Gray Fullbuster, you better stop right now!" Seraphina snapped.

The Ice Mage turned around inquisitively, as well as nervously. There wasn't a single note of lightheartedness in her words; Seraphina was seriously mad.

And it was kinda scary.

She stalked over to him and fought the urge to shove him, was he seriously trying to do this again?

"I've got to do this!" Gray shouted, and there was no hiding the desperation in his eyes, "this is the only chance to take down Deliora!"

"No, it's not, don't lie," Seraphina replied, "seriously! Did you already forget my speech from when you tried to use Iced Shell the first time? I was very proud of it I'll have you know! Anyways I'm not letting you do this Gray, you don't have to."

"Yeah," Natsu added, "there's no way we're letting you go out like that"

Seraphina shared a grin with the Fire Dragon Slayer before staring up at the demon with resolve. It was huge, and its magic energy would most definitely surpass their own. But, they would still defeat it, Fairy Tail wizards could do anything.

Gray, however, did not have the same mindset. He couldn't even hide the look of shock that defined his features as he watched his friends stand in front of Deliora to prevent him from casting the Iced Shell.

"Go ahead and cast the spell," Natsu declared, "but we ain't moving."

Deliora let out another roar, then as if finally noticing the wizards were there, rose his fists- ready to attack.

Seraphina looked at Natsu and nodded, the pinkette instantly understanding. He took one step forward and engulfed himself in flames, while she backed up and a magic circle appeared under her feet.

"We'll handle this."

Deliora swung down at the pair, ready to take them out.

"Natsu! Seraphina!" Gray called out. He couldn't let them… he couldn't lose them to Deliora too.

"Flash Beam: Triple Threat!"

"Fire Dragon Roar!"

Both Natsu and Seraphina put as much power as they could into that attack, and it did force the demon back; even if it was the slightest bit.

"NO!" Lyon shouted, and Seraphina blinked as she turned to the silver-haired mage who was sprawled on the ground. He seemed to be struggling to get up and she couldn't help but roll her eyes, he certainly was committed to defeating Deliora.

Seraphina then turned apprehensively expecting said Demon to lash out after getting attacked, however, much to her surprise nothing happened. Then something did.

Deliora began to crack, literally crack, all across its body. Seraphina, and everyone else, watched in horror as the demons entire body began to crumble away. Natsu frowned before looking down at his hands.

"What the…" he said before grinning, "guess I'm a lot stronger than I thought! Take that you stupid demon!"

"I attacked it too Natsu, don't go taking all the credit!" Seraphina whined. However, she knew neither of them had taken care of Deliora, a demon from the Book of Zeref wouldn't go down that easily. There was only one possibility, and that had to do with Ur. During her years as the ice surrounding Deliora she must have been constantly zapping at it's life force reducing it to its current state. Seraphina smiled, she wished she could've had the honor of meeting a mage as selfless and powerful as Ur. She turned to Gray with an even brighter smile, "Wow~ your Master really is freaking amazing, Gray!"

She then gave a pointed look to Lyon, "and yours too, 'O Great Cold Emperor'"

Natsu nodded and grinned, "Yeah, she's awesome!"

Gray didn't respond, but as Seraphina watched him cry a soft smile spread across her features. The bond Ur still had with her students made Seraphina a little envious, but not terribly so. She just kind of wished that Bladonia hadn't disappeared out of her life without a trace, but this was not the time to be thinking about herself. Gray was eternally grateful for the sacrifices Ur had made in order to allow him to continue his life, and would continue to be.

Seraphina then took a step closer to the edge, where water was flowing all about. As she stared at her reflection she reached down and touched the water. It was cold, as freshly melted ice would be. She frowned for a moment as she calmly traced the water, was she technically touching the body of Ur?

Then a voice, as if speaking directly into her mind sounded out,

Watch out for him, please.

The lavendette glanced around confused, for a second she thought Happy was playing a practical joke on her. However, as she glanced down at the rippling water she couldn't help but smile.

Of course… thank you.

Seraphina then jumped up and watched as Gray picked up Lyon and was helping him to walk. Surprisingly, the darker haired mage had a small smile on his lips and Lyon wasn't looking as rude as he usually did.

Maybe they would be friends, she hoped so, it certainly would make Ur happy.

"Awh~!" Seraphina teased, "I'm so glad you guys are hugging your feelings out! This is such a big step, proud of ya!"

Lyon frowned and opened his mouth to respond, but Seraphina held her hand up and waved him off.

"So, like, are we over the silly Cold Emperor name now?" she asked, "Honestly, you could've come up with something so much better, that was so corny!"

"Who cares about a silly name!" Natsu shouted out, "We won!"

"Aye sir!" Happy exclaimed.

"Guess it was just meant to be!" Seraphina sighed before her eyes lit up with glee. "Seraphina the S-Class wizard will have such a nice ring to it, hehe! Plus imagine all the money we can make, Lucy you will never have to complain about your rent again!"

Lucy grinned happily, this was true. She was excited, if she really did become S-Class it would be so amazing, and she could just imagine how proud her mom would be.

"OOO!" Seraphina grinned, "I can also tell Aru to suck it! I'll be S-Class and she'll have to admit I'm better than her. Ahh, this is so great."

Everyone else just seemed happy and relieved in general that the quest was finally done, and they should've been it was a pretty significant feat. But, soon their fun was destroyed.

"Aren't you all forgetting something?" asked the stony voice of Erza Scarlet, "the job was to turn the villagers back to their original forms."

"But I don't understand!" Lucy called out, "the curse should be lifted now that Deliora's dead."

Seraphina couldn't help but nod. That was the only thing that would have had that effect on the villagers. She then thought back to the moon drip… there was no way it could turn people to demons. It was obviously a very powerful spell, one that most definitely could have side effects with continuous exposure. However, she had channeled its energy through herself and she felt completely fine, there wasn't an ounce of malicious intent in the moon drip spell… it was just a strong magic.

"We better go change them back then!" Natsu called out.

Seraphina grinned, taking a lesson from Natsu and staying undeterred, "Ooo ooo! Maybe if we close our eyes and count to three they'll go back to normal and say it was a prank the entire time."

"Do you really think that would work?"

Seraphina giggled, "I don't see why not!"

"I SEE PLENTY OF REASONS!" Lucy shouted before shaking her head, were they that stupid?

"Ugh," Seraphina whined while holding her ears, "Do you seriously have to yell 24/7? I'll have you know that I had a talk with my ears the other day and they said that they don't like it!"

"Lyon," Gray called out, "Do you know anything about it?"

Seraphina turned to the other ice-mage inquisitively. He sat leaned against a rock with his arms crossed and looking away.

"To be quite honest, I haven't got a clue," he responded.

"Hmm, you don't know?" Natsu repeated.

"Seriously?" Happy asked.

Seraphina found that a little hard to believe, Lyon was kinda shady.

"But they told us the curse started up when you guys came here!" Lucy exclaimed.

"When we first arrived here three years ago, we were aware there was a village somewhere on the island," Lyon began, "but we had absolutely no reason to communicate with the villagers, so we left them alone, and they never came up to the temple to see what we were up to."

Seraphina tilted her head when she heard that. It was super odd, why wouldn't the villagers check out the temple? Not even once in three years… that was a lot of days to watch a blinding purple light and do nothing about it.

"In three years…you've never once met?" Erza affirmed.

"But I don't understand!" Lucy replied. "The light from the Moon Drip is so bright that you can practically see it from anywhere on the island. It's kind of weird they saw it every night, and never went to investigate."

"The villagers weren't transformed by the Moon Drip." Lyon scoffed, "It doesn't affect the human body."

So that was also an issue. Why had the villagers been affected then? Seraphina racked her mind really trying to think of something, but there was nothing she could think of that would make sense right now. All of Lyon's buddies, except for Toby of course, were completely unaffected by the moon drip, yet the villagers' entire lives had been turned upside down.

"Yeah, right." Natsu said accusingly. "you're just saying that so you and your friends will be off the hook."

"Hehe, I would love to agree with you buddy, but I can't!" Seraphina sighed, "notice how Lyon is normal? There is something off here and I don't like it, but they didn't do anything bad to the villagers. Right?"

She stared pointedly at Lyon and the ice mage rolled his eyes, what was with this girl?

"Yup… right." he finally answered.

"See!" Seraphina continued, "he said it himself! Now we need to do a bit of detective work in order to figure out what's going on!"

"Anyways, I wouldn't trust them," Lyon cut in, "those villagers are hiding something…but I'm sure you guild mages can handle it."

Seraphina blinked, what was his issue with guild wizards? If anything they were the good guys. She shrugged her shoulders, it must've been because Gray kicked his butt and he was salty.

"We're not done with you." Natsu shouted. "You destroyed the villa—"

He was then cut off by Erza, the redheaded mage squished his cheeks together to keep him from forming actual words.

"That's quite enough, Natsu," Erza ordered. "They were simply doing what they believed to be right, so there is no need to criticize them for it. Come on, let's go."

Erza started walking away to what Seraphina assumed was the way to the village. Everyone, including herself, began to follow. But she made sure to walk slow as a way of waiting up for Gray who had decided to talk to Lyon. She hummed in her head, not really wanting to listen to their conversation, but she immediately perked up when she felt Gray's presence behind her.

"So are you guys besties for the resties now?" Seraphina sang out in a teasing manner.

"Nah," Gray responded with a small smile on his face, "but at least we're not beating each other up anymore."

"That's true!" Seraphina grinned, "now are you ready to complete this mission or not?"

"Yeah," Gray smirked, "I guess I could do that."

She rolled her eyes before lighting up again,

"Hey Gray?"

"What."

"Wanna know what would make this all detective work stuff really cool? You could make me a magnifying glass!"

"Hmm…" Seraphina hummed, she was observing the camp the villagers had set up carefully with her magnifying glass. "Due to my expert calculations I deduce that no one is here."

"Wow," Lucy sighed, "glad we have a genius on our side."

Seraphina frowned and hit the girl lightly on the head with her magnifying glass. "No need to be rude Watson."

"Does that thing even work!" the blonde asked while rubbing her head.

"Why yes, yes it does," Seraphina replied while looking at Lucy's face ultra-magnified. "Why wouldn't it work? Gray made it!"

"Anyways," the blonde interrupted with a frown, "it really is weird that no villagers are here, their town got destroyed so where could they have gone?"

"This is all making my brain hurt!" Natsu complained.

"Ugh mine too!" Seraphina agreed, before speculating. "Maybe they're playing hide and go seek?"

"I doubt it." Erza responded.

"Well," Gray said, "since we're here I'm going to grab some bandages and medicine."

Seraphina turned to him and smiled, that was a good idea. She hated to be weak but her head was still pounding from after she had channeled the moon drip energy through her, and maybe they'd have a painkiller.

"Looks like you're the real genius Gray," Seraphina commented as she stepped in the tent after him. The Ice Mage already had a roll of bandages in his hand. She looked and at the side was a bunch of medicine tubes, hopefully something in there could help her out.

"Are you hurt at all?" he asked a bit guiltily. He would feel awful if any of his friends got hurt by getting involved with his problems.

"No, no," Seraphina assured him whilst shaking her head, "I'm completely fine, but here let me just help you out!" she took the roll of bandages from Gray's hand. She winced upon seeing the discoloration on his skin from the aftermath of the fight, it was pretty significant.

He released a sharp breath when she reached the wound in his stomach. She pursed her lips nervously as she looked at the wound, she hadn't noticed it before because Gray had sealed it with ice, but it certainly was ugly.

"How did this even happen?" Seraphina asked touching the area gingerly while feeling a great deal of guilt, maybe she should...

No, she wouldn't and she couldn't, the benefits of her using it far outweighed the consequences.

"It's fine," Gray responded, feeling chills travel up his spine while Seraphina's fingertips grazed his skin, "Lyon got a cheap shot in when I thought we would get along."

"That's so not fair," Seraphina responded feeling more than a little ticked off, though it made sense that Lyon would resort to such weak tactics. Though she pushed down her discontent by focusing on wrapping Gray's bandages around his torso and back. "Buttt, you should be fine Gray! Nothing a little time won't fix, and my excellent bandaging skills!"

This was one of the only times Seraphina was being completely genuine. She was actually very good at bandaging wounds and knowing exactly which medicines would work for certain ailments. Seraphina supposed it wasn't out of total goodwill, and in a way she was overcompensating. If she couldn't heal people's wounds because of her own selfish code then she had to make herself feel better somehow.

Gray sat up from the table and grinned before ruffling Seraphina's hair, he knew it would annoy the lavendette and he smirked upon seeing her pout as she patted down the top of her hair. She took a lot of pride in her hair for whatever reason, but Gray supposed if he were a girl he might too. "You might just become a better healer than Porlyusica someday," he joked, before looking off to the side and paling, "and at least you actually like people."

"Who said that?" Seraphina giggled, "I actually hate everyone, especially you right now! Do you know what my hair has gone through? Kaya cut it with her freaking mirrors and now it's uneven!" she wailed dramatically, "and my hair is curly! It's gonna grow back and it's going to look all weird… you don't understand how serious that is."

"I don't think it looks bad, at all," Gray commented before taking a step back and looking at Seraphina. He supposed he could kinda see that the right side was a little shorter than the left side, but he didn't really think anything of it. "You can hardly tell."

Seraphina turned around and crossed her arms. She didn't like being stared at and she flushed a little bit when Gray had basically been studying her face.

"You said 'fine'," Seraphina replied, still turned away from the Ice Mage, "honestly, I don't think we can be friends anymore."

Gray paled, "you're so dramatic."

"Heh," Seraphina winked and she looked back at him, "I know!"

She then pivoted and finally went towards the medicine table. There had to be a pill in here that would subside her headache. She supposed it wasn't half as bad now, but still, she didn't want to get in a mood because of it.

"Here take these," she ordered Gray handing him a couple of painkillers specifically for wounds. She then found ones that would work for her and grinned before popping them in her mouth.

"I thought you said you weren't hurt?" Gray questioned as they headed out of the tent.

Seraphina laughed whilst twirling a clump of hair around her finger, "oh I just have a headache."

The Ice Mage frowned, "Why?"

"Hmm," Seraphina hummed, "I suppose I could lie and say I don't know… but maybe my body is mad at me for channeling the moon drip through me."

"You did what?" he asked in disbelief, "Why would you ev-"

"Hey! You finally made it back," a voice interrupted and Seraphina grinned as it was the perfect escape from that conversation.

A villager, still in his demon form, had run to them. Seraphina pouted, that meant Erza was right and the spell hadn't been lifted afterall.

"There's something you need to see!" He insisted, "please, follow me to the village!"

The urgency in his voice was very obvious and Seraphina couldn't help but wonder what it was about. Erza nodded and the entire group followed the man down the path to where the village had been previously.

Seraphina noticed a blue cat flying right next to her and laughing. She raised a brow and wondered what he thought was so funny this time.

"So~" Happy said in a teasing manner, and she could already guess what he wanted to say, "Sooo how was the tent with Gray? You looooove him don't you!"

Seraphina sighed before grinning, "Oh yes," she called out dreamily, "our wedding is tomorrow, and you're going to be the cat of honor!"

"Huh!"

"Yup," she confirmed, "I have a little suit for you and everything! Ah, this is so exciting!"

Gray flushed and turned away from Seraphina, he knew she was joking but still with her you never know.

"Don't go saying stuff like that!"

"Hehe," Seraphina sang before grinning and winking at Gray mischeviously. "Just giving him a taste of his own medicine~!"

Happy was now flying around in circles wondering if he truly was expected to make an appearance at the supposed wedding. Seraphina laughed and Gray smirked while they continued down the path to the village to see what had happened.

Seraphina stared at the door of a house, half expecting it to disappear. She didn't know what she expected when they came back to the village, but it certainly wasn't this.

The entire village had been restored to its original state. It didn't make any sense at all, however, Seraphina supposed she should just be grateful. This might have given them extra brownie points with the chief and maybe the reward would be higher!

It kind of sucked that they'd have to share it with Erza though, but with a price that high there'd be plenty for each of them.

Speaking of a certain redhead, she had gathered everyone in the village to the front where she began grilling them with questions. Seraphina had zoned out of this conversation, she still heard bits and pieces and she'd recall anything if it was important later.

However, her attention was caught when Erza Scarlet said she would destroy the moon.

"Natsu, come with me," the redhead demanded, "I'll need your help."

"Huh?" Lucy, Gray, and Happy all sounded out.

"Happy," Seraphina called out, "remember in the old days when you said I went crazy? I think it might've been contagious, cause Erza is completely off her rocker!"

"Aye…"

Though Seraphina said she wouldn't care if the moon was destroyed, because then Aru's power source would disappear, she knew in her heart it was a joke. It was necessary for balance or whatever, and the tides… plus the lavendette really liked her sleep.

She began putting her brain to hard work, she wanted to feel accomplished and she knew that she could figure this out. Okay… so the moon drip didn't affect humans, and she supposed that made sense. With magic you could always form your own sort of intricacies within every spell, so that must have been the case with the moon drip. Also, the villagers had said that every time they tried to go into the temple they ended up getting sent right back to their homes.

She frowned, this really was hurting her brain. Erza would have it all figured out, but still she wanted to as well.

"There's no way she can destroy the moon anyways!" Seraphina exclaimed, more to herself than anything, but she didn't miss the look of agreement the Gray and Lucy gave her.

"Yeah… she can do some pretty amazing things," Gray said hesitantly, "but destroy the moon? No."

Seraphina nodded as she watched Erza heave her giant spear up the watchtower where her and Natsu would supposedly destroy the moon. She was happy for him, at least he was achieving his dreams but still it was so weird.

"NOW NATSU!"

Erza threw her spear and Natsu punched it, his flame power increasing its speed significantly. Its descent through the sky continued until it reached what seemed to be the moon, and it cracked.

"She did it!" Happy exclaimed, way too happily for her liking.

"This is bad…" Gray commented.

"I'm in a dream!" Seraphina decided before heading over to Lucy grabbing her shoulders and shaking her, "you need to wake up!"

"We can't all be in the same dream!" the blonde insisted before rubbing her eyes and looking back up to the cracking moon, "but we might as well be! How-"

The shattered moon seemed to continue, and the cracks spread out into the sky. Now, Seraphina was thoroughly confused, who knew Erza Scarlet could warp reality.

Then it exploded, a hole formed in the sky, and behind it the normal white light of the moon shone pouted a bit, the purple moon was prettier. Sparkles from the sky fell down, and she reached out and attempted to catch a couple.

She think she understood now.

"Wow," Seraphina breathed out, "it's so pretty! But this certainly isn't what I expected."

Gray turned around sharply, curiosity obvious in his eyes, "Do you know something we don't?"

Seraphina grinned, "Not really, but once I held one of these," she put her hand out to show the sky glitter, "I think I figured it out!"

"Well why don't you enlighten us?" Lucy asked pressingly.

"Well," Seraphina began, "the moon drip spell made a magic membrane around the island! That's what the sparkles are, remnants of the spell, and it's why the moon seemed purple."

Truthfully, the only reason she knew that is because she recognized the magical energy present in the sparkles. She supposed even though she failed with her original mission channelling the moon drip made her seem smart now.

"Well, now that it's gone shouldn't the villagers be in their original forms?" Gray pondered, Seraphina wondered this as well, but that was true. If the villagers didn't turn human again that meant they were actually…

"Demons," she breathed out observing their true forms with finality, "they're actually demons."

"You are correct Seraphina," Erza responded, "the moon drip only affected the villagers memories, the way they look now is their true form."

"Hey," Gray called out to a villager, "Is that true?"

"Well, maybe?" he replied seeming confused, "but we all seemed fairly normal when you first met us?"

"Yes, because you possess the ability to take on a human form," Erza explained and Seraphina nodded, that made sense. "Your false memories made you believe that your temporary states were actually your true forms. In reality, you were demons that fell victim to the Moon Drips side effects."

"I knew I could trust you and your friends!"

A new, very familiar, voice joined the conversation. Seraphina turned around and felt her jaw go slack with shock. It was Bobo!

"You're the guy from the boat!" Gray called out.

"I knew you weren't a freaking ghost!" Seraphina shouted in contrast to Happy and Lucy's exclaims about him being a ghost.

Bobo grinned, "Thanks Wizards! I owe ya one!"

He then explained how he was the only one without any memory loss. The villagers were just as confused as the Fairy Tailers, which was reassuring to Seraphina. Bobo then displayed how he could fly and she nodded, she was glad she knew he wasn't a ghost, the idea of that kinda freaked her out.

The village chief was overcome with emotions and he flew up and hugged Bobo. Seraphina watched them and stuck out her bottom lip, that was just so cute. She was glad that they could find each other again, and in far better circumstances.

"Thank you Wizards!" the chief called out, "We will have a party tonight to celebrate! It will be an all out demon party!"

"Yay!" Seraphina exclaimed jumping up in glee, "I am so ready!"

"I don't know if I'm rowdy enough to party with demons…" Lucy admitted sheepishly.

"Me either," Happy added.

"Uh uh!" Seraphina shouted, "We're going to party! Right Natsu!"

"You know it!" The dragon slayer shouted while blowing flames from his mouth.

Seraphina grinned and turned to Lucy and Happy who still seemed apprehensive to the idea, "C'mon guys! Lighten up! Plus if you think about it nothing can be crazier than the parties at Fairy Tail!"

Lucy sweatdropped when she heard that… parties? More like all out brawls 24/7, but Seraphina did have a point nothing could be crazier than that.

So the blond followed her friends deeper into the village to get ready for this party, and Seraphina couldn't help but smile. It was time to have fun.

A figure watched the rowdy town from afar while glaring at a certain Fire Dragon Slayer. To think he had actually managed to hit her… wow.

"What are you doing over here sulking about?"

Ultear turned around to see Ember standing on the same tree as her. The Grimoire Heart mage narrowed her eyes, surprised that she had even come over here to talk to her.

"Nothing in particular," she responded, "Just admiring my work. It was kind of me to bring the village back to its previous state."

Ember rolled her eyes, "I wouldn't have even bothered, but go you."

They sat there in silence before Ultear talked, "so, you come here to sulk as well?"

"No," Ember replied simply, "I just think it's funny we were after the same thing and no fighting came out of it. I mean you obviously knew I'm aligned with the Adze Elites, and I'm sure Grimoire Heart wouldn't want to share the power of Deliora."

Ultear scoffed, "We'd have no problem controlling the demon. Need I remind you how powerful we are?"

Ember held her hands up innocently, "No, you'd definitely have no problem, but I do know we'd be better. As we actually have experience I suppose you could say."

The redhead began walking off, "I must be going now, I don't think they'll like what happened with Deliora, but can't say I'm surprised. Your mom really was powerful, huh?"

Then she was gone but Ultear was still glaring down at the village, the mention of her mom bringing memories to the surface. Her rage wasn't gestured at Natsu Dragneel anymore, him hitting her was a one-time deal. There was someone there who she hated far more.
