Seraphina's senses were on high alert as she watched the door intently awaiting a sign of anyone coming in. She wondered now if she should've gone with Natsu to get Lucy back to the guild, but Erza wouldn't have let her.
She sighed and pondered on why she had decided to listen to the rules, it's not like she cared that much. Plus Lucy — as overbearing as she may be— was her friend and Seraphina should've been there in case Natsu needed backup. Plus, what did Phantom want with her in the first place?
A glance around the guild very much displayed everyone's sour mood. A decent amount of wizards were injured and were resting in the makeshift infirmary, while others planned a battle strategy. Mirajane was attempting to get in contact with stronger members of the guild for their assistance, which would probably be a battle in and of itself. Seraphina couldn't imagine Laxus rushing to their aid, and because of him they could forget about the Thunder Legion lending a helping hand. They were more loyal to Laxus than they were to the guild. There was also the case of Mystogan. He didn't even let anyone see his face so them getting in contact with him just seemed impossible.
Seraphina scowled and leaned against a pillar as she began to think over their very wonderful circumstances. It was seriously annoying how Phantom had gotten the upper hand on them like that. They defeated Master, kidnapped Lucy, and spoiled the joyous spirit of everyone in Fairy Tail- which might've been their most impressive feat.
A dull pain buzzed in her arms and Seraphina had to look down to realize she was digging her nails into her skin. Definitely a side effect from her anger, but that just made her even more mad. She hated feeling like this. Seraphina spent all her time being happy, but she couldn't muster the energy to have that facade anymore.
But she also couldn't afford to not have it.
There was worse in her life than the Fairy Tail guild being attacked, and she had ignored that just fine. But for some reason this was different. Fairy Tail was her happy place, and Phantom hurting it this bad was having a huge effect on her.
She looked around the guild to find anything that would distract her. Though as expected there was nothing. Seriously, why did wartime have to be so depressing?
Seraphina began pacing, moving around always helped to expel any nervous energy she had so it should work right now.
"Jeez, sit down would ya?"
"Hmm, no," Seraphina replied simply. She then stopped in her tracks and curled her nose, "Seriously, Gray? You can't tell me what to do!"
"Guess not, but I can tell you that it's getting seriously annoying."
Seraphina stared him down before sighing, Gray was so blunt sometimes. It was probably because he couldn't be bothered to care but still… rude.
"Alright, Mr. Cool Guy," Seraphina muttered mockingly. Fine, she didn't have to pace around anymore. With that in mind she sauntered over to his table and sat in the chair right next to him and smirked.
"I never said you could sit next to me."
Seraphina gave him a halfhearted smile, "Deal with it."
She stuck her tongue out at him for effect. Gray rolled his eyes but didn't respond and the pair sat in odd silence. Besides random chattering from around the guild it was completely quiet and Seraphina in particular felt weird for not talking about something.
"Gray?" Seraphina called out after a couple minutes.
He turned to her curiously wondering what was up.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I could walk on my hands for the rest of my life?"
Seraphina grinned and began traipsing around the ragged stone floor, but on her hands in order to demonstrate her skill. However, she very quickly came to the realization that she probably couldn't walk on her hands for all eternity, it kinda hurt.
Gray wasn't that amused with her antics, though he didn't understand what he expected from Seraphina of all people. He then narrowed his gaze on her stumbling form, no that wasn't it. She could be genuine. He saw that side of her towards the end of their adventure on Galuna Island, and not too long ago when they were at Phantom Lords base.
And right now he was pretty sure Seraphina was far more affected by all this then she was letting on.
He watched her unintentionally, but she must've felt him staring at her. She pivoted around and they made eye contact, neither looking away. After a few seconds Seraphina regarded him with a very expected smile which he hardly even noticed, for all Gray could focus on was the glassy haze in her eyes.
Seraphina was sad.
"I swear there's something up with her,"
A young Natsu Dragneel looked at his sworn enemy Gray Fullbuster curiously, which was a change from the usual hostile expression they tended to regard each other with, "Huh? What are you talking about?"
Gray crossed his arms and looked across the guild hall at Seraphina who was sitting by herself at the bar. That wasn't necessarily the weird part, but there was something Gray had a hard time wrapping his head around.
Why was she always freaking smiling?
He watched her a lot and no matter what a smile, or laugh, was on her face. He didn't think there was anything that could make Seraphina serious, and even if there was it took two seconds for her to smile again.
"Gray! You better tell me what you're talking about right now!"
"Give me a second ash brain!"
"What'd you call me?"
"Y'know what? I'm not telling you anything anymore!"
Natsu's jaw dropped, "You can't just do that!"
"Can too!"
"Ooo, what is Gray supposed to tell you? Do you guys have a secret, I wanna know~!"
Gray paled and turned around to see Seraphina grinning down at both of them. He hadn't even realized that she had left the bar.
"Well, he did have something to tell me but then he backed out of it!" Natsu whined, "What kind of person does that?"
"Aye!" Happy chimed in.
"Hmm, not a cool person" Seraphina added before giggling and putting a finger to her chin, "Whoops, that insult doesn't work for you Gray... because you are a cool person! Hehe, get it like ice?"
"Very cool!" Natsu said. He and Seraphina looked at each other before bursting out in a fit of laughter. Happy flew in circles around them, not quite getting what was so funny, and Gray sweatdropped.
"Idiots… "
"What'd you say Fudgesicle?!"
Seraphina stuck her tongue out at him, "Ugh, you, meanie!"
Gray watched her and saw that even when she was insulting him she was smiling. His frown furthered. He knew that he was prying but he had to know.
"So, what's your deal?"
Seraphina turned around inquisitively not quite realizing Gray was talking to her. If anything that seemed to be a question for Natsu, but the Dragon Slayer was chasing Happy down for something.
"Huh, what are you talking about? I don't think I made a deal with you… meanie."
Gray crossed his arms and stared her down, "It's not that, just something that's weird to me…" he paused and Seraphina looked at him expectedly. His expression hardened and he went through with his question, "Why are you always smiling?"
Without missing a beat Seraphina giggled and pointed to his chest, "Well, why are you always naked? That's pretty weird to me!"
"Ahh!" Gray jumped up not even realizing he was in his underwear. He grabbed his clothes and began to put them on while gradually getting redder and redder in the face.
Seraphina watched him without her smile even threatening to fade, but her heart rate was increasing rapidly.
"Hmm, I'm gonna go back home!" She quickly decided.
"What, wby?" Gray asked. Seraphina always stayed at the guild pretty late and it was barely into the afternoon.
"I'm tired~" she whined, "I stayed up late for no reason because someone told me there was going to be a shooting star last night, and there was none!"
Gray frowned and opened his mouth to question her further but Seraphina was already rushing out the door.
"Nice going Gray,"
He turned around to glare at Cana Alberona who was fiddling around with her cards on the table.
"What did I do?" he demanded.
Cana rolled her eyes, "You don't have to be so rude all the time you know! Seraphina obviously left because you made her upset."
"I didn't even say anything rude!" Gray shot back, "I was just asking a question, not even one worth getting all worked up about."
"Gee, you're so full of yourself," the card mage responded with an exasperated sigh, "If I were you I'd go say sorry, plus what kind of weirdo cares if someone is always smiling anyways? I'd rather have that than your brooding."
"I don't brood!" Gray insisted way too defensively. Though he couldn't help but see some truth in Cana's words. Maybe he had come off too rude to Seraphina, but still he thought it was odd and he wanted answers. There was nothing wrong with being curious.
He frowned before running out of the door wondering where Seraphina could be. She said she was going home so he could go along the path she usually did.
Gray headed around the back of the guild, towards where the beach of Magnolia was. Seraphina loved the water and would take the so-called scenic root home. He smiled a bit to himself upon seeing her form standing at the base of shore. He didn't need Natsu's stupid Dragon Slayer nose, if you paid attention you could find anyone.
He noticed Seraphina stiffen before he got close to her and he couldn't help but feel bad. Maybe he really had messed up back there.
"Wow, you really are quite the detective!" Seraphina proclaimed lightly. She turned around to face Gray and a sly smile took form on her lips, "Or maybe you're a stalker…"
"I'm not a stalker!" Gray huffed before crossing his arms and looking to the side, "It's called paying attention, you should try it sometime."
"Hmm, sounds like something a stalker would say~"
Gray groaned but didn't entertain that notion any further, arguing with Seraphina would get you nowhere. What he wanted to do was apologize or whatever and just be done with it. He was already feeling awkward about this whole thing.
He forced his head around already feeling the redness coming to his cheeks as he prepared to apologize. But he stopped short at something he never expected to see.
Seraphina's eyes had a watery shine to them and she was gripping her necklace, the one she always wore, tightly. Her focus was still on the watery horizon in front of them though and she didn't look him in the eyes when she addressed him.
"Gray… does my smile really bother you?"
The Ice Mage didn't really know how he did feel. He just thought it was weird, how someone could be so happy and carefree. It was kinda what annoyed him about Natsu too. The flamebrain ran around completely oblivious and unbothered about the world around him, but still.
Natsu had his fair share of problems. He wanted to find Igneel, his fire dragon, so desperately and it was something he thought about and was hurt by everyday. Seraphina on the other hand seemed to have nothing, everything about her very existence seemed free.
… Was he jealous maybe?
It would make sense. Part of why he was so reserved and closed off from everyone is what happened with Ur. No matter what he would never forget what went down that day and he wished with every fiber of his being that he could undo his past transgressions.
"No," finally he replied to Seraphina's question, "I guess… I guess I'm not used to seeing someone as happy as you."
Seraphina didn't respond and he wondered if that wasn't a good enough excuse, but he didn't know what he would say further. A couple moments passed before she chuckled and regarded him with a soft smile.
"Oh Gray, you got it all wrong silly! Who said anything about being happy? I wanted to know if my smile bothered you."
Gray frowned, why was that memory coming back now? He didn't understand what relevance it had to what he was thinking about now.
Wait…
"Ouch!" Seraphina squealed. Her attempt to walk on her hands was a failure. She stepped… handed? She didn't really know what to call it but a rock implanted itself in her palm and it hurt, causing herself to fall down face first into the basement floor.
"Never doing that again," Seraphina grumbled making her way back to her seat.
Gray looked her over and raised a brow, "You okay?"
"Hmm, I will be in about twenty years," she decided. Seraphina then sighed dramatically, "but the fact that I can't walk on my hands forever hurts my soul!"
"Your soul huh…"
"Real men don't have a soul to hurt!" Elfman shouted, taking this as the perfect opportunity to promote his manly ways.
Gray clenched his fist, "Butt out!"
He paid his attention back to Seraphina who was now laying her head on the table and staring into space. The glassy haze in her eyes was still there and he couldn't help but notice that her peppiness had all but disappeared.
"Hey… Gray?"
"Yeah?" he replied, half-expecting another stupid question to come out of the lavendette.
"What…" her voice cracked. "What if we don't win?"
"Huh?"
He hadn't realized and Seraphina barely had herself, but she was trembling.
"Phantom has so many members, strong ones too. Even if we defeat their main branch they have others scattered all across Fiore. Master isn't in good condition and Jose is ruthless…"
Seraphina frowned and she slowly took a deep breath, she wasn't going to start crying. No way.
Gray was taken aback. He didn't expect Seraphina to say any of that. Vulnerability wasn't her strong suit, but he supposed this proved his hunch correct.
Seraphina then turned to Gray and scoffed, "Oh wowww, what am I getting so worked up about? We're Fairy Tail! Of course we're gonna win!"
She was going to continue on with her happy-go-lucky charade but she felt a cool hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, you know… you don't need to keep pretending," Gray began gently. Seraphina froze and took in what he just said.
If only he knew…
"It's okay to be upset. You don't have to be happy all the time, nobody expects you to be. You're still Seraphina all the same." His grip then tightened "But no matter what, we're going to get revenge on Phantom. Natsu is going to bring Lucy back and then we're going to kick some serious ass. I promise."
Seraphina swallowed thickly and she felt tears begin to form in the corners of her eyes, ones that she quickly blinked away. She wanted to accept that, she really did. She wished she didn't have to keep her facade. She wished she could tell Gray, anyone even, how she truly felt about things… but she just couldn't. It would lead to a whole can of worms opening up that she just didn't want. Her problems were ones she blacked out and ignored best she could, and constantly being happy was what allowed this for her. If Seraphina wanted to stay in Fairy Tail, and she truly did, she was just going to have to deal with it.
"Gray I-"
She jumped up from her seat immediately upon three familiar scents wafting in from outside the basement door. It took a few moments but Natsu walked in with Happy flying in behind him. Seraphina blinked wondering where Lucy could be, but she was on Natsu's back and it was hard to ignore how dejected the blond looked.
Seraphina smiled grandly, "Awh, Lucy you're back! I'm so happy! I missed your yelling a lot, it just doesn't feel the same without you here!"
"I'm back too you know!" Happy exclaimed.
"Oh, you were gone?" Seraphina asked innocently.
While Happy wondered about his place in the universe Lucy looked at her guildmates nervously. She hated this, she didn't want to have to do this, but it couldn't be avoided.
"Hey, you guys?" the blond said weakly, "I need to tell you something."
Lucy began to share her story and Seraphina was shocked to say the least, and she was sure that everyone else must've felt the same way. To think Lucy was a runaway from the highly esteemed, and very wealthy, Heartfilia family. She had been gone for a year travelling all across Fiore, but now her father hired the Phantom Lord guild to get her back for him.
In that year Lucy had grown so much and she found Fairy Tail. Now that they knew the motive behind Phantom's attack the stakes of battle were even higher. Fairy Tail couldn't afford to lose here. Lucy was a part of their family, and they sure as hell weren't letting her go.
A flicker of recognition played out in Seraphina's mind. Lucy ran away from her previous life too, huh? Who would've thought.
The blond was now sitting on a barrel in the corner of the guild hall. Seraphina looked at her and couldn't help but feel awful. Lucy was hunched over and looked near the verge of tears. Though, it really couldn't be helped if Seraphina was in Lucy's position she'd be so upset.
Gray noticed that Lucy was sad and he felt awful as well. He hated to see his friends, especially girls, upset.
"Hey, don't worry," he called out in an attempt to comfort her. "We'll get them back for this."
"I know," Lucy replied very unconvincingly, "I'm not worried about that… it's just… this is all my fault."
Seraphina walked over to where Lucy was sitting and put a hand on her shoulder. Lucy froze from the sudden unexpected contact and looked up to Seraphina dejectedly.
"C'mon Lucy you're being a little silly here, how is any of this your fault?" Seraphina asked gently. She didn't want to see Lucy in pain like this, she didn't deserve it. The blond did nothing wrong, she was just trying to escape a life she didn't want anymore. "All you did was leave your home to live your life the way you wanted, how could you guess any of these crazy things would happen?"
"Yeah!" Elfman chimed in, "Besides, being targeted by rich people is just one of the downsides of being rich. At least you're protected by a real man, like me!"
Seraphina's eye began twitching out of annoyance and Gray hung his head before growling, "Would you give it a rest already!"
The lavendette sighed before giggling, "He's more like a real meathead!"
Happy walked over and looked up at Lucy, he was a bit conflicted with everything that was happening.
"I gotta say that I was shocked when I heard the news," he said before looking even sadder. "Why'd you hide the truth from us Lucy?"
Natsu perked up when he heard this question and moved closer to the blond. He was wondering this himself.
"I didn't hide anything!" Lucy argued weakly. "I mean, it's hard to bring up that I'm a runaway in casual conversation. I've been gone for a year, and my father hasn't cared. Now all of a sudden, he wants to force me to come home? He's done all those horrible things just to force me to come back, I hate his guts!"
Seraphina was glancing down at Lucy with an inscrutable expression as she mulled over everything the blond had told them.
"Still…if I hadn't run away in the first place, none of this would have happened," Lucy admitted somberly.
"Come on, don't be ridiculous." Elfman said and Seraphina nodded thinking he actually had something intelligent to say. "Your dad's the one to blame."
"Idiot!" Gray snapped.
Elfman jumped back upon hearing the venom in Gray's voice. He then took a look at Seraphina who seemed to be staring into the very depths of his soul. She pointed at her eyes and then him before sticking her thumb down and shaking her head.
The real man shivered at this before very quickly changing his stance, "I mean, it's Phantoms fault!"
Seraphina nodded and smiled while Gray shook his head. What an idiot.
"No, I'm the one who brought trouble to the guild." Lucy insisted. "And it's all because of my own selfish choices. I'm so very sorry. I'm just going to go back home, and hopefully all of this will be over with."
"See, I don't know about that," Natsu replied with a grin. "I can't see you playing the part of the pretty princess sitting around in your mansion. Laughing with us in this filthy guildhall, going on adventures even though you freak out all the time, that's who you really are. You said you wanted to stay with us, right? Why would you return to the place you ran away from? Come on, who are you trying to kid? You're Lucy of Fairy Tail. No more running because you belong here with us."
Seraphina turned to look at Lucy wistfully, "I honestly don't think you meant to hide anything Lucy. It's just that some things are a lot easier to keep to yourself, you know? And there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone has their own slew of things that they want to keep in the past." A smile then crossed her lips and Seraphina embraced Lucy in a hug. "But there's something that I know now, and it's that you're our friend! And we're not going to let you be taken away from us! It wouldn't feel right without you, you're a part of the Fairy Tail family now and forever."
Tears pooled in Lucy's eyes and the blond began to cry. Seraphina still held her and let the blond sob to get it all out.
"Come on, don't cry," Gray asked of her. "It's not like you."
"Yeah, please," Elfman whined. "Real men are weak to womanly tears!"
Seraphina pursed her lips and frowned, "Eh, it kinda is like you Lucy, but that's perfectly fine! Just let it all out, don't let these meanies tell you what to do!"
"Who're you calling mean!" they both demanded.
Lucy laughed weakly at that but still continued to sniffle. Seraphina eventually pulled away and patted her head promising it would get better.
Gray watched this and couldn't help but smile.
In the midst of their very faint moment of happiness a problem was slowly approaching. The guild hall began rumbling and shaking. Everyone looked around at each other inquisitively.
"Woah, what's going on?" Gray shouted.
"Hmm, sorry everyone," Seraphina hummed in response, "I didn't think I was this hungry!"
"I don't think that's the problem!" Happy cried out while flying around.
"Everyone come out here now!"
Seraphina looked up to see the very demanding face of Arjun Cheema and immediately followed his directions, as did the rest of Fairy Tail. When they reached the shore of the beach a forlorn expression overtook everyone upon seeing what was heading towards their guild hall.
"What is that thing?" Natsu asked.
Seraphina's jaw was slack in awe. A very familiar guild hall had sprouted legs and was now making its way across the water towards Fairy Tail. Her fist tightened and she glared at the guild hall, just what was wrong with Phantom? They were dead set on attacking them.
"It's a guild hall with giant legs!" Happy exclaimed and Seraphina had to bite back her tongue that held a 'way to go Captain Obvious' retort.
"Is it Phantom?" Loke asked.
Aru snorted, "I think that answer should be pretty obvious. Who else would spend their Tuesday afternoon in a giant walking guild hall to come see us?"
The Phantom guild continued its path towards them, the ground shaking with every looming step.
"How are we supposed to fight that thing?" Wakaba asked.
No one replied and Seraphina grit her teeth, things weren't looking too hot.
"I never anticipated this," Erza began and the red head was trembling in fear, something Seraphina never thought she'd see, "I never knew they'd go to such lengths in order to attack us."
"Really?" Arjun relayed pessimistically, "I wouldn't be surprised if they did more."
The Phantom building then stopped its descent and settled in its current spot in the ocean. A wall in the front of the guild then shifted up and a long shaft of metal slowly protruded out. Seraphina's heart sank when she realized just what it was.
The Jupiter cannon.
"Everyone, run!" Erza commanded. "Get out of here, NOW!"
"Agh! That's just so desperate if they're using the Jupirer cannon!" Seraphina complained but she heeded the redheads order and the rest of the guild did as well backing up. What they didn't realize though was that Erza was doing just the opposite.
"Erza!" Mirajane screamed.
"Don't be stupid!" Macao demanded.
Erza didn't listen to any of their calls and requipped into an armour. Seraphina's eyes widened when she saw her adamantine shield, was she going to try and block the whole attack?
"You just had to jinx us didn't you?" Aru said as she glowered at her brother who made a comment earlier about how he expected Phantom to do worse.
"How is this remotely my fault!"
Aru looked at Erza who stood tall and strong with her requip. The redhead was strong, no doubt about it, but she needed to be prepared just in case her armour didn't hold out long enough.
There was not much she could do to shield against Jupiter's attack, but she could change the gravity of every Fairy Tailer so they'd avoid the blast.
"ERZA!" Natsu shouted desperately.
He was struggling against Gray who was holding the fire wizard back, and didn't plan on letting go anytime soon.
"We can't stop her! We just gotta have faith in her!" Gray reprimanded.
Seraphina nodded vigorously, "Erza's got this! She isn't called Titania for nothing!"
But at the same time Seraphina knew the odds weren't in Erza's favor. Jupiter was a magic focusing canon which produced a huge blast of magic energy in weapon form. Her armour holding up for long enough?... well it didn't seem likely.
The cannon's black energy then shot out heading straight for them. Erza grit her teeth determinedly and forced her shield together to protect against the blast. A huge magic circle was produced which blocked the cannons shot and not so slowly but very surely her adamantine shield began to crack. Erza desperately tried to keep her shield together, but to no avail- it just kept cracking. However, the Jupiter Blast was nearing its end… she had this! Just as the black energy was done so was Erza's armour and it shattered into the air. Erza was forced back from the impact and sent flying as her armour began disappearing completely.
"I don't believe this…" Macao said. "She actually managed to stop it."
"I believe it!" Seraphina cheered, "Erza's awesome!"
"Once again Erza is the manliest one in the guild," Elfman admitted.
"Yeah," Cana agreed, "but look."
They all turned to Erza only to see the redhead panting and laying on the ground, her strength and magical power all but taken from her. Aru and Natsu rushed over to make sure that she was going to be okay.
"Come on Erza, say something!" Natsu demanded.
Aru looked down at her and frowned, Erza was completely out of magic energy. It would take her a while to recuperate and they needed her now more than ever.
"Makarov has fallen and now Erza barely has the strength to stand" Jose's ominous voice rang out. "Any chance you had of victory has now slipped through your fingers. Surrender now and hand over Lucy Heartfilia to me. You don't have a choice in the matter."
Seraphina snorted, "Yeah right, we're not gonna let you have Lucy you freaking weirdo!"
"It isn't going to happen!" Alzack shouted.
"Like any guild would hand over one of their own to a monster like you!" Bisca continued.
"You hear that?" Macao called out, "Lucy's staying put!"
"I won't ask again," Jose cautioned them.
Arjun rolled his eyes, "Okay, then don't ask again? The answer is going to be no either way so get over it!"
"Honestly!" Seraphina agreed, "Lucy is a part of our Fairy Tail family, we'd never let her go!"
Lucy was crying upon hearing all of this. To think everyone was standing up for her this determinedly. It made her feel awful, but at the same time she was grateful. She never would have thought she'd find people who cared this much about her. She loved Fairy Tail.
And it was the exact reason why she should give herself up. Lucy couldn't let anyone else get hurt. Levy, Jet, and Droy were already too much. She couldn't let herself cause anymore harm.
"We'd never betray her like that!" Erza shouted, "You'd have to kill us first!"
Everyone else rallied in agreement and Lucy couldn't help but cry even more, all of this was just so unfair.
"You can stop asking now, because the answer is always going to be the same!" Natsu bellowed. "Lucy's staying with us and we're taking every last one of you jerks down!"
"Hey, there's no need to cry,"
Lucy looked up and was shocked to see Aru smiling down at her. The Lunar Mages piercing silver eyes were surprisingly comforting and Lucy's sobs began to wane.
"Fairy Tail is a special place," Aru began wistfully. "There's nothing else like it, but my favorite thing has to be everyone's spirit. Even as an outsider looking in you can tell just how much everyone cares about each other, and it's obvious everyone cares about you Lucy. There's no way we're going to let Phantom take you, and you shouldn't think about giving yourself up to protect us. We got this, okay?"
Lucy looked around to see all of her friends continuing to stand up for her, no matter the cost. Aru was right. Lucy couldn't betray them and give herself up like that.
"Thank you," Lucy finally said and she meant it completely.
Jose of Phantom Lord was not heeding to Fairy Tail's spirit. Fine, if they wouldn't give in to his demands he'd show them just who they were messing with.
"If death is what you want then I'll give you a second helping of Jupiter!" Jose shouted, "You fools have fifteen minutes to ponder your folly or else"!
"Jeez, what world does this guy live in?" Arjun muttered, "No means no, not 'I'll send you to death'."
Seraphina rolled her eyes, "I think he needs to have a spelling lesson. Maybe we can beat it into him!"
Truth be told she was a little nervous. Fifteen minutes was barely any time, and she knew they couldn't survive another one of those blasts. It had taken every ounce of magic power for Erza to pull it off and Seraphina knew they couldn't do it without her.
But this was Fairy Tail. They'd take that fifteen minutes and turn the battle upside down, they had to for both Lucy's sake and for the guild.
Natsu had similar plans, "I'll smash that stupid cannon to pieces! I've only got fifteen minutes to wreck it, right?"
Cana nodded solemnly and Natsu smirked as he and Happy prepared to fly off.
"Come on Elfman!" Gray shouted, "Let's storm the place too!"
"Hey wait for me!" Seraphina called out as she followed them, "I want to come too!"
She looked back at the other group and frowned, it was odd to her that Arjun didn't want to storm the place with them.
"Hey Arjun?" She questioned, "Are you not coming?"
"Actually, no" he replied, "I would love to but honestly I think I'll be good here."
Arjun looked around at the development in front of him and couldn't help but smile a bit cockily, these were made out of Shade Magic, huh?
Seraphina looked at him before nodding in understanding, "Ahhh, I see what you're doing, good job bud!"
"Hey!" Gray shouted out. Seraphina turned to look at him, "Are you coming or not? Because we're leaving now."
Seraphina nodded and ran towards him and Elfman. They were going to storm this guild and destroy Phantom and Master Jose. Seraphina was going to get revenge for Fairy Tails sake.
Even if it was the last thing she did.
