In the town of Kishi, in one of three hotel rooms booked for the next few days, seven ninja were taking part in a collating of information. More accurately, the five younger ninja were passing on their experience to their superiors. Both injured men had been looked over by Sakura, the squad medic. Kakashi Hatake had a case of moderate chakra exhaustion, requiring only rest. Might Guy however, had suffered more severe injuries. Bones, joints, muscles, all strained to the point of damage, his cardiovascular system likewise pushed to its limits. Guy, it seemed, would require more dedicated care for a short time, with observation to ensure his full recovery afterwards.
The Genin had gotten little but praise for their actions in a battle against a far superior opponent. They had required assistance to defeat him but Kidomaru had been above their level. Survival alone would have been worthy of praise but victory was truly impressive. Five on one against such a strong ninja was in no way a guarantee. The gap in ability and experience was just that vast.
But more impressive than the fight was what came after. Sakura's quick thinking had both Jonin commending her directly. Taking advantage of the moment of Kidomaru's defeat to trap him in a strong genjutsu Anko had taught her. A false world, a pleasant dream for the man created and enforced by his own memories and desires, influenced by stimulus around him. An interrogation technique tailored to the medic's proven ability to add her medical jutsu to interrogation methods, making the target more suggestible and less able to resist such techniques. It had worked perfectly until the events he was recalling suddenly reached the then current moment. At that point the incongruity inevitably allowed him to break free of the genjutsu.
It would have been nice to get more information, but what they got was valuable on its own. As valuable as it was concerning.
"You should be flattered, Naruto," Kakashi said, smirking at his sensei's student.
By looks alone it was clear the blond didn't appreciate it, arms folded and face set in a scowling pout. "Yeah, well I don't feel flattered, ya know! People want to kill me!"
"Sure do," the elite Jonin acknowledged with a shrug. "Welcome to being a ninja. The career of pissing people off until they want you dead. I mean look at Guy and I," the masked ninja gestured at where the other Jonin was laying. Guy had insisted his bandages forced his right hand to constantly give a thumbs up. "The other villages would give so much money to see my detached head. Less for Guy, but still a lot."
"Not that much less, Kakashi!" the Hatake's self-proclaimed rival rebutted.
"Right, right, of course not Guy," Kakashi nodded, winking and silently mouthing 'a lot less' from where Guy couldn't see. Not that the Genin could read his lips under the mask. "Anyway, even with the high price on our heads they decided to switch targets at the last second. Everyone wants to be wanted, right?"
Sardonic, dark humour or not, it did nothing to cheer the young man up. "It's a Rock ninja. They're just passing on a grudge against my dad."
He wasn't wrong. But Kakashi knew it wasn't a good time or place for a talk about that. Instead he redirected the conversation. "Well, I'll get a message to the Hokage, let him know what happened and why. Once it goes out, we'll be safe while Guy recovers. Congratulations, kids. Free beach vacation!" the white-haired ninja smiled with his eyes.
"Are you sure it'll be safe?" Hinata asked, a certain sadness in her expression. Neither Jonin had condemned her for her poor judgement call but that didn't stop her condemning herself.
The Hidden Rock had something big planned. They wouldn't have taken such a swing at the Leaf otherwise. If that was the case, they wouldn't blow all the preparation they must have made in a potentially doomed second attempt. Especially not so obviously as to do it in a public place. "Trust me." The conclusions Kakashi had come to, it wasn't his call whether to inform the Genin. That would be up to the Hokage when they returned. "Keep on your toes but you can take this as a chance to relax."
It appeared likely they wouldn't have many of those soon enough.
"Naruto," Kakashi called as he stood. "Let's take a walk." He walked past the blond, entirely expecting him to follow. It was phrased in a way that walked the line between invitation and order. Sure enough, the blond followed him out of the room.
The two ninja walked through the hallways of the hotel, down the stairs to the lobby then out front. Kakashi didn't say a word as they went. Moved on to the edge of town before he bit his thumb, moved through a quick series of hand seals and slapped his bloody palm on the dirt road. "Summoning Jutsu!"
A puff of smoke erupted, quickly swept away by the sea breeze to reveal a small dog. A pug. "Kakashi." The dog made a show of sniffing before looking at the younger ninja. "Little Kushina."
"Oi!" Naruto complained, shaking his fist at the small summon. "The name's Naruto, ya know!"
"Sure," the pug agreed, not impressed in the slightest. "What's up, Kakashi?"
"Oof, gonna feel that later... And now," Kakashi complained, looking a little faint. "Pakkun," Kakashi greeted his summon, squatting down and holding out a scroll. "I need you to get this message to the Hokage. Fast as you can. There might be enemy ninja looking to stop you."
"Let 'em try," Pakkun gruffly answered, taking the scroll in his teeth before running off down the road.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Naruto asked. "What if that bomb guy attacks him? Or that Hidden Rock girl?"
"You shouldn't underestimate him," the copy ninja chided. "Him and the other ninken are the bes– The most reliable companions I could ask for," he amended with only an instant of hesitation. "It's a partnership. They look out for me and I look out for them."
"Man, it must be really cool to have animal summons."
Kakashi wasn't sure what to say to that. He wasn't close enough with the boy to offer the ninken contract. His father was a toad summoner but that would be a matter for Jiraiya and... Well, Jiraiya was Jiraiya. He didn't remember anything about the Uzumaki having their own contract. Kushina had certainly never mentioned it. "Maybe Anko will let you sign the snake contract one day."
The blond shuddered. "Yeah, I think I'll pass on that, ya know?"
The Jonin chuckled, turning and heading back into town, the Genin following him. "What you said before," Kakashi prompted. "About Rock passing on their grudge. You're probably right. Sand wouldn't care. Cloud and Mist would want you alive." Naruto's head snapped up to look at him in surprise. A surprise that itself was a surprise to Kakashi. Of the three villages who had conducted the destruction of Whirlpool, Cloud were the most successful at establishing a breeding program. Ninja bloodlines were something they coveted for a long time and had made significant preparations for the effort. That didn't at all mean the mountain village would stop their efforts to expand it, or that Mist would stop trying.
"You're a ninja with a legacy," Kakashi continued. "On both sides. And each comes with its own baggage. All the people your dad pissed off, they'll just push that hate onto you." He gave a resigned shrug. "Believe it or not, I can relate. My own old man was the terror of Hidden Sand back in the second war. It's part of why your dad and I were stationed on the Rock front in the third."
Minato's student didn't say anything as the silence went on. Whether the attempt to relate to his sensei's son was successful, it was interesting to see the young ninja's reaction. For as much temperament he got from his mother, there was still some of Minato in there. For the problems that couldn't be solved by immediate action, Naruto could be surprisingly contemplative. "What was he like?" Naruto asked, finally breaking the silence.
"Kushina didn't tell you?"
"She told me plenty. About how he was as a dad, a husband," the Genin shrugged. "I want to know what he was like as a ninja. And... Just, like, another person, ya know?"
It was Kakashi's turn to become silent and contemplative. Trying to put his sensei into words from his own perspective. "He was... Driven. I think that's the best word for it. He had goals he wanted to accomplish but it was like he had the perfect balance of pursuing them. No matter what, he was working towards something whether that was trying to win your mother, working on jutsu or seals, or trying to pull my head out of my ass."
The boy's face scrunched up. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Let's just say I had problems when I was somewhere around your age," Kakashi smiled back at him. "Kind of like Sasuke. It took a lot of hard lessons to bring me out of it in the end. But your dad never stopped trying."
If anything, that soured Naruto's mood even more. "You think he'd want me to forgive Sasuke." The words came out like an accusation.
"Forgive him?" Kakashi asked, tapping his masked chin. "No. If Minato-sensei was here now... He'd probably ask you what you'd forgive Sasuke for. And whether he'd even have the right to accept that forgiveness."
"I don't get it."
"The actions of the Uchiha aren't Sasuke's actions, Naruto. Same as you didn't near single-handedly end Hidden Rock's participation in the third war. None of the Uchiha who hurt your clan are still alive." The young ninja's expression was darkening further, likely because this was something he had heard before. "I won't tell you to just throw away that pain, Naruto. I know you can't. I can't. Anyone who tells you it's that easy is full of it. But taking that pain out on him is about as fair as Hidden Rock wanting you dead to get back at Minato-sensei."
"So what?" Naruto irritably snapped, "I'm supposed to just hate a bunch of dead guys and call it done?"
Kakashi let out a clearly humourless laugh. "That'd probably be the easy answer. The way Minato-sensei looked at the world... It was like he saw anything wrong with the world as a problem with a solution. So, if he still lived today, he'd look at the Uchiha's actions. What Fugaku did, why he did it, and what could be done so no one ever felt the need to do it again. Understanding. This leads to that leads to the other. That's what your dad was always chasing."
"Yeah, well, it's not like it..." The words almost came out in anger, but the blond stopped himself, fiercely looking away to hide his regret for what he almost said.
Though Kakashi knew full well how it would have gone. "It might not have ended well for him, but trying to make the world a better place is never a bad goal. Our job is an ugly one, it can show us the worst of people, but that's no reason to stop trying to be better. That was one of the lessons your dad taught me, one I hope I can pass on."
Once again, that thoughtfulness came back. The young ninja going quiet again, the scowl easing from his features as they walked along the beachfront road. "Kakashi, why didn't you take the Hokage up on clan restoration?" Something Kakashi said must have brought other wonderings to the fore.
"He told you about that?"
"No, Mom did. It's just... You're talking about passing things down and... Well it's a lot of pressure. To bring back a whole clan." Ah, Kakashi was beginning to understand why Naruto was asking now. "Is that why?"
"No." It was a simple answer. An unhelpful answer. So the Jonin worked to come up with one that would help with what Naruto was struggling with. "My clan... I don't see it as something worth preserving. We weren't great legends. We were small, with a minor quirk to our chakra, a fancy weapon to pass down and not much else. We weren't even invited to join the Leaf when it was founded. My ancestor saw the writing on the wall with its founding and had us join to survive."
"But... But it's your clan, ya know!" one of the last Uzumaki protested. "Your family legacy! Isn't that worth preserving? Those lessons about trying to be better, don't you want to pass them to your kids?"
"I am," the last Hatake answered simply. "To my students. To you. That can be a legacy just as strong as the name 'Hatake'. Hey," he put a hand on the young ninja's shoulder, distracting him before the doubts on the boy's face could take root. "Don't go getting doubts now. I chose my path but that's my path. You started walking yours and I know you're not dumb enough to walk a path you don't believe in. You're bringing back the Uzumaki, but you get to shape what the future of the Uzumaki will look like. No point looking back or second guessing. The only thing we can control is where we go from here and now." He stopped walking, made a show of looking out across the ocean, specifically to the north-east. He pointed. "Right over there. About fifty miles out. That's the ruins of Whirlpool. The village your clan founded and the village Cloud and Mist destroyed. Is that your legacy? Do you want to bring back that village?"
"I... The Leaf is the only home I've known. It's the only one I want to know, ya know?"
Kakashi nodded. That was good. The conversation would've turned awkward if he suddenly wanted to turn his back on the Leaf. That would've been a problem. "That's what I mean. There isn't much there now anyway. What wasn't destroyed by Uzumaki sabotage to protect their secrets was picked clean over the decades. But even if there was something there, you just decided. Whirlpool isn't the Uzumaki clan anymore." He felt the need to ruffle the kid's hair. "So sayeth the clan head."
"Hey, hey!" the boy slapped his hand away with a scowl. "Kinda ruining your point when you treat me like a kid, ya know!"
"I've known you since you were a baby. You'll always be a kid to me," the Jonin laughed.

"I was so scared..."
It was the first private moment Naruto and Sakura had gotten since the mission had technically been completed. Hinata was somewhere, Sasuke and Tenten were keeping an eye on the laid up Guy. Kakashi had gone to meet with the town magistrate to update him on the situation.
Almost as soon as they were alone in one of the hotel rooms, Sakura's self-assured front had crumbled as she fell into hugging him. Tears spilling from her eyes. All Naruto could do was hold her. "I thought– When I saw you jumped in front of me, when I saw that arrow pierce through you, I thought I lost you!"
"It's okay, I'm okay, see?" he spoke softly, walking her toward the bed so they could sit. "I'm right here." He held her, let her soak his clothes as she let out everything she had been holding back. Everything she kept to herself to keep herself from breaking. To some it might have seemed like she was weak for losing control so completely. But to Naruto, he could only be amazed at how well she held up while holding in such powerful feelings. He could only see it as incredible strength. He would never have guessed she was struggling this much.
As she wept in his arms, he made two clones, knowing neither he nor Sakura were going to be in a fit state to watch their backs. One perched outside the window, the other went into the hall.
"I'm sorry," Sakura finally said, sniffling as he wiped her eyes. "I... I know it was a clone but in the moment it felt like the world had ended."
Flattering but also horrifying. He held her tighter. "I didn't think about that. I'm sorry it made you feel like that, ya know?" His thumb swept through the tear tracks on her cheek. He couldn't apologise for what he did. "But... I'd rather that than... What would've happened otherwise. I don't wanna lose you either."
She coughed out a wet laugh. "You know, I used to think that kind of thing was romantic. A love so strong a person would give up their life for the one they loved." She looked down, held a hand against his heart as if to assure herself it was still beating. "Now I just... What's love worth if the other person isn't there to share it?" Her hand closed into a fist in his jacket. "Could you promise me? I want you to tell me you'll always be here. That you won't leave me like that."
He had no idea what to say. What could he say to that? They were ninja. What remained of his clan was an example constantly at the forefront of his mind for how such promises were impossible to make. His mother fourteen years a widow, to say nothing of the others.
But, as he looked into her watery, jade green eyes, he saw the truth. She wouldn't believe such a promise either. It wasn't about following through. She knew as well as he did that there could be circumstances where he wouldn't come back from a mission. Or some other calamity would befall him. She knew it wouldn't be true. But for the moment, perhaps even only the time they spent in this room, Sakura wanted to believe it was true. That they would grow old together no matter what.
"I promise," he told her. "I'll always come back to you."
She smiled. Weak, uncertain, knowing it was a lie but grateful to hear it regardless. And then she kissed him. Needy, wet and desperate, she used her lips to plead with him, to beg him to tell her with his, without words, that everything would be okay. That for the rest of their lives they could be happy and in love. All a beautiful lie for their own peace of mind. He kissed her back, met her wordless plea with his answer, and they fell onto the bed.
Hands moving, searching, finding their way under clothing to the warm skin underneath. Gasping between kisses at the sudden heat between them. Even so, clothes weren't shed. Instead they were content to drink in the sensation of every slight bit of direct contact. Naruto's arm snaking under her short dress to slide his hand over her abs. Sakura's lips dropping past his neck to nip his collarbone with her teeth. Her breath hitched as she felt that hand exploring her tummy slide under her shorts, dextrous fingers stroking her mound. Emboldened by her lover's action, her own hand reached under his pants, grabbed his hardening manhood and began to gently stroke it.
There was no mad, passionate rutting. No loving coitus. Just an expression of their feelings through mutual stimulation. A display of affection and of reassurance. No matter how empty it may one day prove to be, all the two cared for in that moment was telling the other with actions that everything would be alright.
And from the next room, someone was watching the entire time.
Hinata knew it was wrong. She knew. This, what was happening in that room was such a personal moment. She did her best not to focus on their lips as they spoke. She couldn't go so far as to spy on the words said in such an emotional encounter. But that didn't excuse her actions. It didn't in any way make it okay that as emotional intimacy transitioned to physical intimacy the Hyuga's hands began exploring her own body. Mimicking every one of Naruto's touches on herself. Wanting to pretend he was making her feel good instead of Sakura.
It was wrong. She was horrible. A disgusting voyeur. Her all-seeing eyes venturing where they didn't belong.
The guilt only made it more arousing.
There were all kinds of rumours spread about the Hyuga, and specifically about their all-seeing Byakugan. People speculating about what they might do with such a power. Spying on washrooms, onsens, on private moments between lovers. Assuming the Hyuga would also participate in such activities. In moments of such heady speculation and gossip, those people would forget the strictly enforced propriety the noble clan subjected themselves to, the doctrine of what their eyes were to be used for. The members who would break that doctrine were few and far between.
Until recently, Hinata had not been among those who would use their bloodline for such base urges. Not until she had started watching the Uzumaki compound. When her dreamily gazing at her crush happened to catch him in a private moment. Bathing. With the assistance of his mother. She knew she should have looked away. She should have given them the privacy they deserved. But she couldn't. The sight was so entrancing. Not just seeing him naked, but the intimacy of the moment. Mother and son, yes, but also the innocent or not so innocent teasing. The brushing touches of intimate parts that saw the boy rise to the occasion. She watched as Kushina left him alone, making no comment on the erection she had caused. And she watched Naruto, suffering guilty arousal, stroke himself to completion at the thought and memory of his mother's touch. Based on the reluctance she witnessed, it was his first time doing so. Certainly not the last.
Over and over she watched him in her spare time. She arranged her time around when she knew he would have these moments. These barings of his true self when he thought he was alone. It was exhilarating to believe she knew him better than perhaps anyone else for seeing them. And then, when Ino stole his virginity, it was crushing emotionally but also fulfilling. She wasn't the one in that room as she so dearly wished to be, but she was a part of that moment even if they didn't know it. She continued even after that. Saw him finally bend his mother over and take his place as the man of the house. Saw him deflower Sakura. Saw their many debauched activities since. She had rubbed herself raw when, after seeing multiple Narutos running through the streets, she had the chance to witness them descend on Kushina, taking her in every hole at once to her obvious delight.
Her only regret was not witnessing the conception of what will be his first child.
Spying on him like this, it was rotten. She knew. She wasn't just in love, she was obsessed. What would he think of her if he found out? She thought back to another scene she had not intended to witness. A training session interrupted and brought to a swift and sudden end by Anko Mitarashi running past, the second woman to have done so. First Ino naked and smiling as she showed off the goods to everyone, then Anko with a chain clamped to her nipples and shameful writing on her body. Would he make her do that? Show off her body for everyone in the village, show them what a rotten girl she was underneath the propriety of the Hyuga? Would he take her in front of them? She would let him. She would gladly let him. If it was for him, she would do anything.
Her clothing was rumpled. Dishevelled, but not removed. One of her large breasts exposed, her pants pulled down so she could stroke her folds in just the way Naruto was doing for Sakura in the next room. He knew what he was doing, playing with the pinkette's body in just the way she liked, but not in the way Hinata liked. It wasn't the same. And yet she continued mimicking his touch, just to let herself believe that it was him touching her. Bringing herself to climax quickly was less important than the fantasy of him getting her there. "Ah!" She let out a soft gasping moan as two fingers slipped inside her. She had tried to be quiet, knew Naruto had clones watching. Her other hand bit her knuckle to keep further moans silenced. Luckily it seemed the clones hadn't noticed the sound–
He was there. Her heart stopped. Not the real him. The real him was still in the next room, blissfully unaware. But the clone from outside, he was suddenly inside the room with her, staring at her with wide eyes. Seeing her exposed state. The bulging veins of her active Byakugan. Her secret shame had been exposed, the one thing she dreaded and desired most. She didn't cover up. What would be the point? The clone could see everything. "When..." She licked her lips, her mouth suddenly very dry. "When you disappear... He'll know, won't he?"
The clone, astounded by what he was seeing, not having the slightest idea how to handle this, could only answer honestly. "Yeah. He'll know." There was no stopping that even if he wanted to.
She came off of the bed. Approached the duplicate of the boy she loved. Her shame fully bared for him with the wetness between her legs. She lowered herself to her knees, then bowed into a dogeza pose at his feet. Her shoulders shook as the tears overtook her, fear of what might happen overwhelming her. "Please don't hate me!" He could look down on her, she was used to that! He could think she was a dirty voyeur, she was! But... She had finally talked to him for real! He had asked her out on a date! She had finally taken the first step to getting what she wanted! To see it all fall apart now because he saw who she really was deep down, she couldn't bear it! It was too cruel!
"Hinata..."
She raised her head, saw something she was very familiar with. "I'll do anything. Just please don't hate me!" She grabbed the hem of his pants and pulled down. "I'll prove it!"
"Hinata I don't–!"
She was desperate. She couldn't let it all fall apart now. Her dream of being his pure and loving wife, it was a pipedream with who she was when no one was looking. But if he saw that, that didn't mean she couldn't still be his. His filthy degenerate slut. That was fine as long as she could be his! With those thoughts in mind, she dove onto his mostly hard cock, no idea of what she was doing beyond the basics of the act. What she lacked in skill she made up for with desperate enthusiasm. Her lips passing over half of his cock as she swallowed it.
"Fuck! Hi-Hinata!" he tried to grab her, to stop her? He didn't know. How could he? He was a clone. Long-term consequences were a difficult concept when his existence would end in minutes. The problems this could cause, they paled as a concern to just how good it felt for Hinata to choke herself on him.
The clone wasn't stopping her. Just holding the back of her head, exerting no pressure in either direction. To her, that was an encouraging sign. Maybe she could rescue this! With confidence from it working, she worked smarter. Making the effort to figure out what he liked. What she had seen the other women do for him. One hand came up to cradle his balls, the other wrapping around the base of his shaft, the part she had yet to reach. Stroking him with the movements of her lips. Her tongue swirling with every pull back.
"Fuck, it's just like–!" he groaned, as his grip on her head started working with her movements.
If Hinata could, she would smile. It was just like Kushina. She had watched the beautiful, experienced woman work, inside and out. The Hyuga's replication of the redhead's skills wasn't perfect. She didn't know the hows and whys, just raw replication of her actions, but it was good enough. Good enough to bring him to a swift climax from her unrelenting, vigorous movements.
"Hinata, I'm gonna–!" Yes! She wanted it! The proof she did a good job! The proof that she pleased him! She felt it, spurting hot, sticky and salty on her tongue until she took him into her throat again, choked on him again so she could swallow it all down! She wanted it inside her! It was Naruto's! She didn't want to waste a single drop! She swallowed furiously, fought down her urge to gag as the creamy white substance slithered and flowed down into her belly. Even as he pulled, stumbled back, she caught on her hand what she coughed out as he emerged from her lips. Then greedily sucked her fingers clean.
"Hinata," the clone looked down at her, regret in his eyes. He fought to sustain his existence long enough. "I don't hate you." The words he needed to say, the words he had wanted to say all along.
And then in a puff of smoke, he was gone.
He… He didn't hate her. The relief from that simple sentence was enough to make her collapse backward against the bed. Even so, even if he didn't hate her, his first memory of being with her was not a kiss. Not even Naruto himself. But using her mouth to pleasure one of his clones.
Maybe that was for the best. Maybe that was what a girl like her deserved.

A/N: No, Hinata won't be a turbo-slut for the rest of the story. She just had her voyeur fetish revealed at the worst time while she was watching something she really had no right or business watching. She panicked and got desperate.
..,. Well she might be a little bit of a turbo-slut. But less of a self-hating one.
