It was a Monday morning and Perry walked into the office. He went over to his secretary's desk to say hi to her, when he got a shock:

There was someone different there!

She looked fairly similar to his regular secretary except for one difference; her hair was blond. It was pure white—platinum blond, as it was often called.

She smiled. "Morning, Chief."

"DELLA?!"

"What do you think?"

"I thought for a moment that you were a different girl!"

"Do I look that different to you?"

"Yes! Oh, I love it!"

"You do?"

"Yes!"

"Thank you so much! Jane and I went to a salon together on Saturday. She had her hair dyed brunette; she looks really pretty that way!"

"Well, you look ever prettier!"

"Thanks! Oh, we also got manicures and pedicures." She showed him her fingers and she also slipped her shoes off and showed him her toes; they were both painted bright red.

"Wow! Well, thanks for brightening my Monday!"

"You're welcome, Chief!"

"Say, I've got an idea: After work, let's go to the Vineyard for dinner."

"It's a date, Chief!"

"Well, let's get some work done."

"Right, Chief!"

She put her shoes back on. He stared at her a bit longer, causing her to smile, then he walked into his office.
