Quinn was annoyed as she stalked her way to the cafe. Finn had been giving her puppy dog looks all morning and trying to talk up his fight to anyone who would listen, how Ray was the one to jump him outside Beth's daycare. Santana and Brittany had kept her from slapping the giant idiot. Brittany had murmured in Quinn's ear to stay calm and not do anything other than to ignore Finn as Ray's lawyers were already taking care of everything. Right now all Quinn wanted was to be in Ray's arms. When Quinn finally entered the cafeteria, she immediately searched for Ray. Once her eyes found her vampire she frowned a bit at seeing the mild irritation and disgust on Ray's face. Quinn made a beeline towards the Quarterback's table as Brittany and Santana followed directly behind her.

"Hey baby." Quinn greeted as she got next to the table.

Looking up at the head Cheerios's voice, Ray smiled tenderly at her girlfriend holding her arms open, having felt the need through the mating bond. Once Quinn was standing next to her, Ray pulled Quinn onto her lap. Quinn sighed in contentment once Ray had wrapped her arms around her. No sooner had Quinn settled herself on Ray's lap, Puck appeared with multiple trays of food. He had grabbed Sue Sylvester approved lunches for the Cheerios, and had grabbed bacon cheese burgers and the special; spaghetti with meatballs for Ray and himself. He had even managed to charm the lunch lady to give him a side of bacon so Ray could enjoy her bacon on the cheeseburger without Quinn stealing the said pieces. Ray dug into the burger right away craving the meat. She practically inhaled the damn thing. Halfway through her spaghetti, Ray nudged her brother flicking her eyes over to where Finn was sitting.

"Finn Hudson?" A man in a fitted black suit inquired.

"Yeah?" Finn answered in confusion as he looked up at the man.

"You have just been served. Have a good day." The man had calmly handed the tall teen a manilla envelope before walking away. Everyone was silent as they waited to see what was inside the envelope, well except for the people sitting with Ray.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Finn bellowed out a few minutes later.

"Hmm sounds like Finn just got the restraining order and oooh look I do believe that is two of Lima PD's finest at the doors." Ray casually commented with a trace of amusement before taking a bite of one of the meatballs on her plate.

Ray smirked as 80% of the student population watched as Finn was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and for falsifying a police report. Ray quietly finished her lunch as the students gossiped about Finn's arrest. Ray heard Britt's whispered "I told you that Ray had it taken care of." to Quinn and smiled to herself while popping a couple of breath mints. Ray enjoyed the rest of her lunch with her mate and friends.

Ray walked Quinn to class placing a chaste kiss on the cheerleaders lips before turning to face Becky, who she had heard coming down the hall.

"Let me guess, Coach wants to see me?" Ray asked in amusement.

"Yes, your brother is already in her office."

"Alright then." Ray replied before turning to face Quinn. "I'll see you after class gorgeous." Ray told Quinn before pressing a kiss to her forehead.

Turning to Becky, Ray held out her arm and escorted the girl back to the cheerleading coach's office. Ray holds the door to the office open for Becky and waits for the girl to announce Ray's presence to Sue before walking into the cheerleading coach's office and taking a seat beside her brother. Sue got up and closed the door to her inner office before she sat back down. Ray noted that the glass in the office was now frosted.

"Let me see." Sue demanded once she sat back down.

"That explains the frosted glass." Ray thought to herself as she carefully shrugs out of her letterman.

Ray had Puck lift her shirt up and peel the tape back so that the wound could be revealed as the gauze lifted with the tape. Sue let out a low whistle at seeing it. The dark Sidhe looked closer at the wound and frowned at what she saw.

"May I?" Sue asked as she gestured at Ray's wound.

"I didn't think you would catch it. I just noticed before lunch. I would have been fine until I got home." Ray calmly answered as she removed her long sleeved shirt.

"What's wrong Ray?" Puck demanded as his gaze flickered back and forth between the two women.

"He didn't know?"

"No. It never seemed to be an issue until now." Ray sighed before turning to her brother.

"Mama had Fey blood. Apparently grandpa's grandpa was an exiled member of the golden court. Over the generations the blood diluted some. Mama never really knew if there was any truth to the drunken ramblings she had heard as a child. She shared this with me when she would be cleaning my back from the latest beating our father had given me. That's how we were able to make 'our blood work' to alter our appearances. The fey have what's called a personal glamour it allows them to alter their appearances. It's a personal majick. For us, as daddy discovered, we can make the changes permanent. The fey are immortal with one exception, Iron. The reason I'm telling you this is because the blade of the knife that Hudson used was made from iron. In fact it was a forged 'cold iron' blade that had been modernized into a switchblade. It was also coated in an oil made from wolfsbane. Yeah daddy told me you ass!" Ray noted that her brother had the decency to look sheepish at her words.

"I had figured out the metal of the knife was iron when I picked it up and it caused a dull ache in my head. Between the oil and improper sharpening techniques, there are now flakes or rather microscopic spurs in the edges of the wound. I was going to ask Duckie to look at it once we got home, but I think coach here is able to help me now."

"I am." Agreed the older Fey. "However, it's going to be painful if you are awake for it. Which means that I'm going to need you Puckerman to hold your sister down to prevent any movement."

Puck quickly nodded his agreeance. He didn't quite understand the hidden implications that laced Ray's words as she had briefly explained about Fey blood and cold iron but right now it wasn't important to him. Right now he'd do anything needed of him to help his sister. The twins watched as Sue wrote something down on a slip of paper before she motioned for them to follow her. The trio quickly left Sue's office, pausing long enough for Sue to drop the slip of paper on Becky's desk and instructing the girl to hold all her calls. As the unlikely trio made their way down the hall, Ray and Noah heard Becky leave the office and head in the opposite direction. Sue led the twins to her office in the Cheerios' locker room. Sue grabbed a pair of black cotton gym shorts and tossed them to Ray.

"I need you to change into those. You can leave your bra on." Sue stated before unlocking the door to the Cheerios first aid slash treatment room.

Noah and Ray looked at one another for a moment before Ray just shrugged and began to shrug out of her letterman. Noah carefully helped her out of her shirt before turning away to drape both Ray's shirt and jacket over one of the few chairs in the room. Ray had sat down on the bed and was untying her boot laces when Quinn walked in followed by Sue.

"What's going on Coach Sylvester?" Quinn asked after taking in what was happening.

Ray kicked off her boots, stood up from the bed and proceeded to under her belt, pants button and zipper. Ray looked over at the dark Sidhe for a moment noticing that the Unseelie was holding a plastic cup while she waited for Ray to finish changing.

"She's here to calm the beast once you put me under isn't she?"

"Yes." Was Sue's simple reply.

Ray nodded once before she let her pants drop to her ankles leaving her in her boxers. Quickly kicking out of her jeans Ray hurriedly pulled the shorts on, covering up her almost see thru boxers. She hadn't really paid attention to which pair she grabbed that morning as she was rushing to get dressed due to running late.

"Will it still work even though the claim is incomplete?" Ray asked as she sat on the bed. "I mean, I've heard stories of a mate being able to keep the beast of the other calm, but that was when the bond was completed."

"I saw the upload JBI posted. Q here staked her claim on you in front of her peers and left her mark on you. That was enough to satisfy her acceptance of the bond with your inner beast for this to work." Sue handed Ray the cup.

"Drink this. It will knock you out for an hour. What I'm going to be doing will be unpleasant for you. I'm going to be cutting away the tissue that has the burrs in it. I'll be going as fast as I can. I will also be using the same mixture that your fathers came up with to flush the wound after. The blade I'm going to be using has been steeped in concentrated vervain oil so it can cauterize the wound and surrounding tissues. That is the reason I need your brother to restrain you and Q here to calm you even in your sleep." Sue paused with a thoughtful look as Ray downed the cup's contents.

"Puckerman change into a pair of black sweatpants that are in my office." Noah left to do exactly as Sue told him without any questions causing Quinn to raise a questioning eyebrow at the coach.

"He is going to be behind her to restrain her. I wont lie Q, this will be extremely painful for your vampire here, so I am trying to make things as comfortable as possible given the circumstances. Besides you saw his belt buckle, would you want that digging into your back?"

Quinn snorted at the question and shook her head.

"It's also to keep the blood stains to a minimum. I'll toss the shorts and his pants in the furnace afterwards."

Puck came back out in the provided sweats and his black undershirt just in time to catch Ray as she slumped over.

"Well that worked quicker than I thought it would." Sue muttered to herself before continuing at a louder volume. "Alright then. Q, hand this to Puckerman."

Quinn accepted the item, looking confused as she examined it before finally realizing that it was a gag of some sort and quickly gave it to Ray's brother. Watching closely as he fastened it into place.

"The Leather," Puck began to explain as he placed the thick piece in Ray's mouth. "Is for her to bite down on so her teeth don't go through her tongue or lips." Puck double checked to make sure the gag was secure without being too tight. Once satisfied he nodded at the dark Sidhe.

"Q, I need you to stand by Ray's head. For the most part just your scent should calm Ray. If she thrashes, I need you to place your hands on her face as best you can. Talk to her softly the whole time, talk to her about Beth should she start to struggle to get free. I have to warn you Q, even though Ray is asleep right now, her eyes may open and it will be her inner beast looking back. It's rare but it can happen that is why it is crucial for you to be at her head. The beast will see and smell that you are ok and that should placate it some." Sue had finished setting up what she needed as she directed and explained to her head cheerleader what and why. The dark Sidhe took a deep breath and held it for a moment before letting it out. "Alright let's get this done. Hold her down Puckerman."

Quinn watched as Puck restrained Ray the same way he had last night with the exception that he hooked his legs around his sisters. Puck's longer legs allowing the few inches needed to completely stretch Ray out if needed. Sue quickly removed the sutures, noting the minute flinching at the sensation of the threads being removed. Sue paused for a moment, taking a deep breath she grabbed the edge of the wound as gently as she could with her forceps. Sue registered the disgruntled growl from Ray and sent a mental apology to the vampire before swiftly slicing through Ray's skin. Sue could hear Quinn murmuring to Ray as the growls continued to rumble through the vampire's chest. Working as quickly as possible, Sue removed two millimeters of tissue from each side of the wound. It might not have seemed like a lot, but that added up to just under ΒΌ of an inch of tissue, along a four inch gash, being removed from an already lean body. Sue set aside the instruments she had used and grabbed the two bottles that she needed to mix together. She added an extra ingredient that would hopefully draw out any residual wolfsbane in Ray's system.

"Are you two ready for this next step?" Sue asked as she shook the bottle that had all the ingredients combined in it. Puck nodded and tightened his hold on his sister. Quinn looked a bit green but she was holding up and gave Sue a nod.

"OK. In 3, 2, 1" Sue began pouring the mixture and the reaction was instantaneous.

Ray let out a muffled roar of pain, her eyes snapping open. Sue felt a fissure of fear run the length of her spine but she kept pouring. She had been thankful that Quinn had taken her instructions literally, as the look in the vampire's eyes went from murderous rage to concerned and calculating when Quinn placed her hands on the vampire's face. Sue listened as Quinn reassured Ray's beast that Quinn was fine but what Quinn needed of her mate was to calm down and let Sue finish helping her. That the sooner Sue finished, the sooner they could go pick Beth up and go home together, curl up on the couch just the three of them. Sue actually heard Ray's beast whimper when Quinn told the vampire that she would be very angry with Ray if the vampire did anything to prevent that from happening. A minute later Sue finished pouring and a heartbeat later breathed a sigh of relief as Ray's body let out a shudder as her body began pushing out the last of the wolfsbane. Ray's beast closed her eyes once again.

"Ok Puckerman, I want you to stitch the wound closed again." At Puck's quizzical look Sue quickly explained. "I have a contact within the Lima PD. Word has already gotten back to Russell about Finn's arrest and he's already hired a lawyer for the idiot. Sorry Q." Quinn waved away the apology as Sue continued. "The lawyer will want to take pictures of the wound as well so the stitches need to match exactly. My guess is the lawyer will file the legal request within the next few hours."

Puck nodded his understanding indicating that he was following along, making a mental note to call their lawyer once he worked on stitching Ray up.

"Why would that matter?" Quinn asked.

"To be blunt Q, your father is a dirty bigoted individual. The lawyer is in debt to your father as your father has some sort of dirt on the guy. Said lawyer feeds your father information in exchange for your father's continued silence. In this situation the pictures would be given to your father. He will look them over with a fine tooth comb, looking for anything that he can use against Ray and Puckerman. Russell is aware of the supernatural. Like any fanatic he has researched the bloodlines of those around him, Especially those of whom he deems/declares as his enemy. He has suspicions regarding the Puckerman-Berry family, not to mention his homophobia regarding Leroy and Hiram, and lastly how he has preached to anyone who would listen about how Ray being intersexed is an abomination. Considering he is the one who gave Finn the knife in the first place, Russell would be looking for the smallest of details to prove his suspicions. If the stitching is off, different from the police photos he will jump all over that and push the lawyer to demand blood samples, once the 'reason' for the stitches having been redone comes out."

Sue had finished her explanation to Quinn as she set out the remaining items that Puck needed to finish the outside stitches. She was impressed with how quickly but efficiently Puck worked. Once he was done, it looked identical to the photos and already looked less irritated compared to an hour earlier.

Ray woke with a snarling growl minutes later.

"That better be the last fucking time I have to go through that bullshit."

Sue wordlessly handed Ray a blood bag and gently pushed the disgruntled vampire towards the private shower. Puck quickly changed back into his street clothes and moved his sister's clothes to the shower room for her.

Sue began blurring around the room, disposing of the used medical items that had been soaking in a combination of bleach and rubbing alcohol into a large paper bag. Puck had already stated that instruments used would be replaced later that night from their home supply, aside from the scalpel. As for the removed tissue, Sue had placed it in a small wooden container that had lye in it. She whispered a few words speeding up the dissolving process. Once it was more or less a gross goop inside the container, Sue added some rubbing alcohol and a touch of bleach to destroy any chance of obtaining any kind of DNA from the goop on the odd chance that someone attempted to screen the furnace.

Twenty minutes later Puck was dressed completely, Ray had finished showering and was once again dressed and the treatment room had been wiped down with bleach while Quinn waited in the Coach's office. Ray had joined the head cheerleader halfway through the cleaning session, sensing through the bond that Quinn needed to be held. Sue and Puck walked into the office and were greeted by the sight of Quinn curled up in Ray's lap as the vampire purred for her mate. Sue flipped a switch and a soft hum was heard. Confused Ray tilted her head to the side like a puppy causing Sue to let out a snort of amusement. The Dark Sidhe tossed a slim case towards Ray along with a pack of matches.

"You will need this before you head to glee. These are stronger than the ones you currently have. I can get you more by tomorrow, hopefully enough to cover you while you heal from this."

Ray gave a smile of thanks before lighting the herbal.

"Thank you Coach. For everything."

"Not necessary. My head Cheerio seems to be rather attached to you so it's in my best interest to keep you around."

Ray left out a soft chuckle at the Coach's words.

"Ray, baby, Why is the back of your shirt wet?"

"Oh, umm, to make it seem like I am sweating profusely. You see wolfsbane is toxic to humans. It's known to cause death. Only the Fey and Vampires seem to be immune to the toxin. As far as I know even shapeshifters are affected. Anyway one of the side effects or indications that some has been 'poisoned' by wolfsbane is fever like sweating and vomiting for some. I show up to Glee looking like I'm sweating my ass off, it helps me appear more human."

"Smart of you Ray."

"It's been known to happen once in awhile."

Quinn's gentle laughter filled the room and Ray smiled at the sound as she finished smoking the herbal.

"Alright you loiterers, get out of here and get to Glee." Sue demanded just as the bell rang.
