KonoSuba Volume 18: Chapter 2

A Bothersome Prince for This Adventuring Party!

Part 1

As we made our way to the front of our house, I sighed.

Darkness and Aqua trailed after me. Chomusuke sat in my shirt beneath my chin, similar to how Megumin holds her.

… Then there was the infamous Prince Jatis. He was near the back.

I guess he didn't even want to walk alongside us.

Snooty no-good prince related to the most precious princess in the entire world. I'm not sure how that's possible.

"Kazuma, Kazuma!"

"I'm Kazuma, yes."

I returned my attention to Aqua, who was urgently calling my name. I came to a halt and waited for her to catch up with me.

She looked at me before quickly turning to take a quick glance at the prince.

"Can we please get rid of—Ow!"

"No! You are entirely to blame for this situation, so accept responsibility for your choices and deal with the consequences! If Jatis can help us in finding Megumin, then so be it."

In frustration, I smacked Aqua on the head.

"It's my fault?! How can this be my fault?"

We stood face to face, both of us clearly looking for a fight.

"Your stupidity must've rubbed off on Megumin because you thought doing the same thing when you wanted to 'defeat' the Demon King would be such a great idea!"

"W-Well, it's not my fault that Megumin was clearly in so much pain that she ran away! Perhaps you should have your eyes checked because you are the one who is supposed to—!"

"Enough already, you two!"

"N-Nyah!"

Darkness grabbed both of our hairs, waking Chomusuke in the process.

"H-Hyah! You're ruining my neatly tied hair, Darkness!"

This girl.

"I forgot my jester at home, so this show of fools will have to suffice. Of course, he's only pretending to be one, fwahahaha!"

Jatis approached us, slowly clapping his hands, clearly mocking us.

… I'm seriously gonna kick this guy's ass.

In embarrassment, Darkness blushed slightly and let go of our hair.

"Anyways… What are we doing in this… dump?"

Jatis commented on the appearance of our house while looking past us.

He was greeted by the sight of a blown-in front door.

… And a porn magazine that I must have overlooked while cleaning.

"Oh my God, is this your home? It's even worse than I had feared! You are even worse than peasants!"

"…"

"Let me at him—!"

I held Aqua back as she tried to push her way through Darkness and me to get to Jatis, who stood there unfazed with a smug grin on his face.

"We're here to get a few things."

I glared at Jatis.

"Oh, what could you possibly require Fwahahaha! Armor? You already have a "mighty fine" Crusader, Fwahahaha!"

Jatis searched Darkness with his eyes like some pervert.

Hm.

Reminds me of someone.

I glanced at Darkness, who turned her head to look away. She inhaled deeply, her cheeks turning red.

… She's getting off on it.

"Talking about Armor… Why were you already geared up? Do you just sit around waiting for Daddy to assign you errands—"

"Silence or I'll cut your tongue! Obviously, a low-life adventurer like you, who can't even put on basic armor, cannot comprehend the responsibilities that we royalty bear! We have to be—"

"Yeah yeah, that nonsense about being ready for battle at any time. Did you form your entire personality based on the comic books you read as a child?"

Aqua joined in on my prince-teasing, almost speaking my mind.

"Hey, Lalatina, your priest and pleb are extremely impolite! Do you want to knock some sense into them?"

The prince was practically fuming.

"I'll let them know when I feel they have said something wrong."

Darkness used this opportunity to take a verbal jab at the prince as well.

"G-Gah! Just hurry up and grab your belongings, and let's get on with whatever we have to do!"

"Hiss!"

Chomusuke also joined the verbal assault.

I smirked at the two as we all tried not to laugh at the prince's expense.

We made our way toward the massive hole in what was supposed to be the front door.

… I wonder how expensive it's gonna be to fix this.

Not that expensiveness is really a problem for us.

It's just that it's more of the hassle that bothers me.

We eventually made our way inside the house, where we all stood in the living room. Everything had been left exactly as it was when we left.

Well… Almost all of us.

Jatis claimed he didn't want to be contaminated by our "unclean" home and stayed outside.

Chomusuke jumped out of my shirt and made her way to the kitchen.

… I honestly have no idea what that cat is thinking half of the time.

"My GameGirl! Oh, how I missed you! Have you been good? Oh, I'm sure you have!"

Aqua hugged her GameGirl as if it were her precious child. I wasn't sure what to make of the sight.

Even though I was a NEET in my previous life, I was never that way with video games.

… It was kind of depressing to look at.

"Yeah I'm just gonna ignore that."

I walked through the living room and into the hall.

"Kazuma, what are we doing here again?"

Darkness called to me from behind as she followed me down the hallway.

"Well, I gave Megumin a bunch of manatites for when we blew down the Demon King's barrier. So I'm hoping she left some of them here so we can use them if need be."

Darkness came to a halt in response to my words.

"That's… really smart, Kazuma. You're actually very dependable when it counts."

"…"

Darkness earned a dirty look from me.

"I-I mean, you're always dependable, but—!"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it."

As we made our way up the stairs, I ignored Darkness's attempts to make things better.

I waded through the many hallways that crisscrossed our house, leading us to Megumin's room, where we both stood in front of her door.

"All right, let's see—"

"Wait Kazuma!"

As Darkness called my name, I turned to face her.

"Huh? What is it?"

"I just think Megumin's room is a private space for her, so letting you in is invading said privacy."

"…"

"I mean, all three of you have already barged into my room multiple times. Gender equality dictates that it would only be fair if I followed suit. Not to mention the fact that this is an emergency!"

"I—"

Darkness paused before sighing and closing her eyes.

"… I give up."

I opened the door to Megumin's room slowly. Darkness followed me in, hesitantly.

… Eh?

Her room seemed pretty normal for a girl like her.

It was basically a different version of Aqua's room.

I made my way to her drawers, where I expected to find the manatites. When I opened one of them, I discovered something truly incredible.

"Haha! Jackpot!"

"Oh! Did you end up finding—?"

Darkness made her way towards me, where she discovered the source of my "jackpot."

"…"

… A drawer stuffed with Megumin's underwear.

"Y-You scoundrel! P-Put that back!"

"Wha—Hey!"

Darkness snatched the pair of black panties I was holding. In response, I, of course, retaliated.

… Okay maybe I was getting carried away.

Darkness huffed as she placed the pair of panties back in their drawer. She slammed it shut.

We spent the next ten minutes or so looking around her room for any indication of where the manatites might be.

"Ugh, Darkness I don't think they're here—Eh?"

Just as I was about to give up, a small book fell from a pile of boxes I was moving around. The book was a deep red with numerous indents of…

Teeth marks?

Wait.

I focused my attention on the barely visible handwriting of a title.

"I can't seem to find them either—Oh? What do you have in your—"

"…"

"Is that—?"

"Yup, it's her diary."

The barely visible title ended up reading "Megumin's Very Secret Diary! If you are not Lord Megumin, do not read! Otherwise, the world will end!"

… Yeah, pretty much what I expected from Megumin's dairy.

"K-Kazuma, you can't read that—!"

"Drain touch."

"Kyahh!"

Darkness collapsed to the ground, unable to move due to my drain touch. She made a disapproving face at me from the floor.

"K-Kazuma, that's an invasion of… privacy…"

I mean, Darkness is right… But when has that ever stopped me from doing what I want to do?

"…"

… Ah shit.

I'm starting to feel bad now.

I looked down at the small book in my hands. My grip on the book tightened as I fought an internal battle over whether or not to read it.

My moral compass is all over the place today!

I mean, if Megumin was in my place and she found my diary, would she read it?

… She most certainly would.

I opened the book to the first page.

'Dear Diary! I found myself a party today!'

So she started doing this when we brought her in?

'I am their most valuable asset because I decimate our most heinous enemies!… Except for the giant frogs that eat me.'

Yikes.

"K-Kazuma… Stop it—"

"Bind."

"M-Mmph!"

Darkness attempted to raise herself again, but not before I used bind on her, which, as usual, made the rope around her look very sexual. But it did its job by wrapping itself around Darkness's mouth, rendering her speechless.

… I'll definitely get karma for this later.

I returned my attention to the book and began flipping through the pages.

'Hello, diary! We took on the "Winter Shogun" today—'

Nope.

'Greetings once more, diary! Today's explosion I cast was spectacular—!'

Mmh Nah.

'Oh, how we meet again, dairy!'

She sure has a way with introductions.

'The Explosion I casted today was—'

Ugh.

I flipped through pages and pages of explosions.

… There were probably hundreds of them.

This girl needs to find another topic to write about—

'Hello diary, I realized today that I love someone.'

… Eh?

And with that, my attention was immediately drawn.

'He's a no good, perverted, and poor excuse for a man.'

Hey.

'… But he isn't all that. He's smart, funny, straightforward, dependable, and always there when you need him. And… that's what I love about him.'

My hands gripped the book tightly. My heart felt like it was racing.

'I don't think I'll ever be his type because of my… "flaws" as a woman. But I suppose it's just fun to write about it.'

Eh?

Sure, my type is busty women with curvy bodies and long hair, but I don't think I'd be happy with anyone other than Megumin

… But I'd never say that out loud.

I kept turning the pages, eventually reaching the most recent entry.

'Hello again, diary. I attempted to ask Kazuma an important question today.'

Oh? This was the night Foltzbick attacked us.

'We had just returned from the royal capital, where the king summoned us to discuss some… "important matters"… I don't think it was all that important. I mean, all the king asked was for Iris to stay with us for a while. Which I wasn't too happy about.'

There she goes again.

I'm dreading she'll turn into a yandere or something.

'But once everything was settled and we were on our way home, I decided today was finally the day I asked Kazuma the very important question I've been thinking about asking.'

Hm?

'I was going to ask—'

"Nyah!"

Chomusuke barged into the room, spitting fire at the diary, burning the page I was reading. As my hand was burned, I dropped the book.

"You damn cat! I swear I'm going to kill you! Come here—!"

"N-Nyahhhh! Hiss!"

Chomusuke let out an angry meow at me before bolting out of the room before I could even reach her.

Dumb cat ruining my fun…

"…"

Wait.

Maybe she did me a favor? I mean, what if I started feeling bad about having read the entire thing?

… Eh.

I don't think I would've been bothered all that much.

I sighed as I picked up the charred diary, eventually returning it to its previous spot.

"Well, I guess the manatites aren't here. How about we go now, Darkness—"

"M-Mmph~! Mhm~!"

Darkness squirmed on the floor, her face flushed a deep red, and her hair stood wild.

… It reminded me of a scene from a hentai.

But, with Darkness as a party member, I guess that connection is relatively common.

"…"

That didn't make it any less gross.

Part 2

"All right, we're good to go from here."

The current plan was for Wiz to teleport us to the Crimson Demon Village, where we could hopefully find Megumin.

So Darkness and I ended up bringing some new equipment with us, including some weapons and armor.

… Obviously, she won't need to use any of the weapons we brought, but she insisted.

As we all began on our way, Chomusuke rested inside my shirt, as she always did.

Prince Jatis trailed us even further back this time…

"…"

Actually, Darkness is also keeping her distance from me, now that I think about it.

… Probably for good reason.

"I can't wait until I can finally see my sweet baby dragon, Emperor Zell!"

"Y-You have a dragon?"

"No, it's just a chicken, I keep telling her, but she doesn't believe me."

I moved to the back and spoke quietly to Jatis, hoping Aqua wouldn't hear because I didn't want to deal with her whining. Especially when it comes to a chicken.

Jatis, of course, tried to keep his distance from me.

"O-Of course! You peasants couldn't possibly own a dragon! Only royalty like myself—"

I tuned Jatis out as I also wasn't in the mood to deal with his bullshit.

I sighed.

I wonder what Megumin's up to?

… Speaking of which, what has Yunyun been up to recently?

Yeah, I know it's random to think about that now, but I haven't heard from her lately.

Maybe she's with Megumin?

"…"

I should've thought of this from the start.

Megumin, as brave and dumb as she is, definitely has the smarts to ask someone for help.

I raised my hand to my ear and called Yunyun using the telepathy skill I learned from Wiz after returning from the Demon King fight.

… I thought it'd be a good idea because I occasionally needed to contact Vanir about financial "situations" on the fly.

The "call" was eventually answered.

"Hey Yunyun, Kazuma here. How are you?"

"Oh, Kazuma! I'm fine! You contacted me yet again! Does this mean you're free to hang out with me?"

"… What?"

"Remember when you first learned Telepathy and wanted to put it to the test, and you called me? I asked if you or anyone else wanted to hang out with me, and you said you were too busy—"

Ah, now I feel bad.

"I'm sorry, but this is kind of urgent and strange, but is Megumin with you? Be honest."

"Huh? Oh, she is—Ow! No, I mean no! Sorry, you have got the wrong person! Bye!"

… Yeah Megumin is definitely with her.

That was all the confirmation I needed.

"Kazuma, Kazuma!"

"Yup, still me."

"Prince scumbag won't believe Emperor Zell is a dragon! Tell him he's wrong!"

Oh my god.

"Dumbass! For the hundredth time, he's not a dragon! He's a chicken! C-H-I-C-K-E-N!"

"Nyah!"

Chomusuke woke up in response to my yelling at Aqua and poked her head out of my shirt to join in.

"Wahhh! Kwazumahhhh, you're supposed to be on my sideeee!"

… I wonder if there are any institutions in this world for crazy girls like her. Maybe that's something I should spend my time looking for.

"Looking at your poor excuse for a priest is nothing but humiliating. The more time I spend with you peasants, the more I believe you did not slay the Demon King."

"…"

Are we really doing this?

"… You can think whatever you want, buddy."

"Oh, so it's true? You faked the Demon King's death? I'm sure you and he conspired and devised a plan to fake his death so he could expand his empire unnoticed! Gah! I will kill you for this, you traitor!"

"Dude, what the hell are you even—"

Prince Jatis drew his golden sword and pointed it at me.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Are you serious?!"

"N-Nyah!"

… As she probably didn't want to be hit, Chomusuke leaped out of my shirt and stood behind me.

"I will not work together with a traitor! You will pay the price for the sins you have brought to this country! Now die!"

… I don't think he realizes I have—

"Eh?! H-How did you avoid it?!

Auto-Doge.

"T-That had to be a stroke of luck! Prepare to die now—Wait, what?! How are you dodging?!"

This was actually pretty funny.

I almost didn't wanna tell him the truth.

… Actually, I don't think I will. This is far too funny to ruin.

"Please, the lightning bolts that the Demon King fired were much faster than your slow attacks and I still dodged those."

"I'LL LOB YOUR HEAD OFF—!"

"That's enough!"

Darkness used her brand-new armor, which she had brought from the house, to stop the incoming attack from Jatis's sword before it reached me.

"Listen, Kazuma would never work with an adversary like that! Use the bell as evidence if you don't believe me. I will stand between you two until then while things are resolved."

Wow.

When she isn't acting like a horny wreck of an aristocrat, Darkness is actually capable of coming up with good ideas.

"Well… E-Ehem! I guess I must have good evidence for your execution."

Jatis pulled out an all-too-familiar golden bell. Kinda makes me wonder if all nobles just keep that thing on them at all times.

… I wouldn't be surprised.

"This bell is a—!"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Just go ahead and test it, we're wasting time here."

The prince scoffed at me as he held the bell in his left hand and his "trusty" sword in his right, ready to "execute" me at any moment.

"Now let's get started! Kazuma Satou! Did you and your companions defeat the Demon King?"

"Yup."

… No ring.

"E-Eh?! W-Well how about this! Kazuma Satou—"

You don't have to say my full name every time you ask me a question…

"—did you and your party ever conspire with the Demon King?"

"Nope."

No ring.

"T-This can't be!"

"Oh you better believe it."

As he fumed with rage, the prince's face flushed a pale red. I smirked as I watched the "royal" prince become enraged that a guy like me defeated the Demon King rather than him.

To be honest, I'm sick of all these Mitsurugi clones, but man, messing with them is hilarious.

"Grr! So, tell me, how are you avoiding my attacks?"

… Eh?

This isn't fair.

I sighed, knowing the trick was up.

"It's because I have the skill Auto-Dodge, which I'm not sure if you need me to explain, but it's basically a skill that allows the user to dodge any attack autonomously. Its activation is based on one's luck."

Which is ideal for me because I have an abnormally high luck stat.

… Even if everything that happens to me proves otherwise.

I'm still not sure why.

"…"

No ring.

"A-Ah, I knew that had to be a possibility."

Ring!

"…"

"W-Well, I was aware of the ability! I mean, I'm a member of the royal family, so this stuff was taught to me at a young age—!"

Ring!

"…"

He silently placed the bell back in his bag, obviously embarrassed.

I sighed.

Even though he's an asshole, he acts like Iris when it comes to learning new things.

But that's the only thing I'll ever compare the two of them on.

"All right, now that we've settled our differences, let's get on our way."

Darkness left the two of us to make our way to Wiz and Vanir's shop. As we both followed soon after, Jatis and I exchanged death stares.

"Nyah."

Chomusuke eventually climbed back up onto me and stuffed herself back in my shirt.

After a while of walking, we eventually arrived in the town's shopping district, where we faced a bustling street of people.

"Wow, I've never seen this place this crowded before. I wonder what's going on."

Aqua nodded as she walked alongside me. As she looked around, she fidgeted with her hands.

… Hm?

"What's up with you? Are you worried about Emperor Zell or something?"

"… I'm just worried about Megumin. I mean, what if she seriously hurts herself? … I can't even heal her if she gets hit by that scythe."

Oh.

"Oh uh… We'll get her back, don't worry."

When Aqua acts this way, I really don't know how to act. Normally, I'm used to her acting stupid and annoying me, but she can be a real softie at times.

I tried not to think about her and diverted my attention away… But eventually, my emotions overtook me, and I placed my hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry, Megumin is stupid, but not stupid enough to get herself killed. You've seen how tough she is, right?"

Aqua gave me a wide-eyed look. She smiled softly, the kind that can make you smile back if you ignore the fact that she's a slob and an overall mess.

"Thank you, Kazuma."

But I smiled back nonetheless.

"Nyah…"

Chomusuke, who had been relatively quiet this whole time, looked as if she was getting tired again. She then jumped out of my shirt and into Aqua's shirt at the usual spot before falling asleep.

"…"

… I was kinda hurt but I understand that she would need some cushions while sleeping.

I mean it's good to have your priorities set straight.

Leaving it at that, I turned back to face the prince. I was expecting to see him muttering and bitching. But instead, I was met with the sight of him looking as if he was genuinely enjoying himself.

Sure, he still kept his distance from us, but looking past that, it reminded me of how it was with Iris.

… I don't like how the more time I spend with this guy, the more I find myself comparing him to Iris.

"Are you having a good time back there, your Majesty?"

I poked a little fun at him.

"W-What?! No, I am not! This revolting town is tainting my royal presence! I'll have an order to colonize this town as soon as I return to my castle!"

"…"

And now I've completely lost interest in having a conversation with him.

"Oh, we've arrived!"

Darkness yelled from the front as we rounded the corner and came face to face with Wiz and Vanir's store. Vanir could be seen sweeping the pavement outside.

"Ah! Welcome, the hero who managed to screw up his first-time several times!"

… You son of a bitch.

"Might I suggest some performance enhancers—"

"T-That's private stuff! Shut up!"

I covered Vanir's mouth before he could further embarrass me. Only Darkness knew what we were talking about as she blushed a deep red.

I turned Vanir around quickly and whispered.

"… I'll talk to you about those later."

"Oh, Moi is overjoyed! Oh, and did Moi mention you've brought a friend? Hmm, and not just any ordinary person, but the Prince of Belzerg? Fantastic!"

… The prince was at a loss for words, which is understandable.

"Moi cordially invites you all to come on in!"

Vanir opened the shop door and held it open for us, insisting that we enter. The prince was hesitant, as any normal person who has never dealt with Vanir's shenanigans would be.

I sighed and pushed him into the store, to which he retaliated by calling me scum and telling me to "keep my hands off him"…

… I can't wait to see where this goes.

Part 3

"Wiz I'm back!"

"Welcome back! When I saw the state of your house, Lady Aqua, I was very concerned. What transpired?"

"Oh, you know… the usual. How have you been?"

Aqua had pushed her way through the three of us as she approached Wiz, who offered her tea. Soon after, they both sat down to gossip about who knows what.

"What… is this place?"

"Don't ask or—"

"Well, Moi is glad you asked!"

… There it is.

"This is the magnificent Wiz's Magic Shop! Moi cordially welcomes the prince of the kingdom to his shop. As it is an honor to be in your presence, Moi will give you half off on any products you choose!"

"Oh? Finally, someone here understands how to treat royalty."

"Without a doubt. Now, look at these fantastic items that only fools and peasants with no money would dare to pass up."

Vanir led Jatis to the other side of the store.

… He's gonna get scammed.

"Do you know the vampire she hired?"

"She hired a vampire?!"

"Yes, and she is quite young. You know what I mean by "like a kid," right?"

"She must be running out of options to hire someone like her?"

"Or she's trying to appease some pedophiles to join her."

I sort of got caught up in Aqua and Wiz's gossip, but I quickly mentally slapped myself and snapped out of it.

… Oh no.

Am I going to be one of those old men who never know when to stop talking?!

"Kazuma."

"Wha?!—Oh hey Darkness."

"Shouldn't we be leaving soon? Who knows how far Megumin will travel before we arrive at the Village."

Oh shit.

She's right.

"Nyah!"

Chomusuke seemed overjoyed at the possibility of seeing Megumin again. She jumped onto my head, clawing at my hair, most likely in an attempt to get me to hurry up.

"Ow! All right, I get it!"

"All right, guys, I think we should—"

"P-Prince Jatis?!"

We all turned our attention to the source of the voice, where we were met by Zereschute, who was waddling his way towards Jatis.

"Huh? What are you doing here, Sir Zereschute?"

Oh?

"You two know each other?"

I asked my question because I was genuinely curious.

"Of course, Sir Zereschute is a nobleman. I admire him greatly for his great power and hard work."

… Right.

"So, Sir Zereschute, what are you doing here?"

Zereschute did appear hesitant at first, but he eventually spoke up.

"O-Oh well I work here!"

"… Eh?"

I could tell Jatis wasn't expecting that answer. I mean, if I were in his situation, I wouldn't either.

"By the way, Emperor Zell is quite something."

Zereschute turned his attention to Aqua, who was still drinking tea and gossiping with Wiz about who knows what.

"Right! Isn't he a magnificent dragon?"

"… Eh? I never said he was a dragon but he is a fine chicken—NO I'M SORRY!"

Aqua gripped Zereschute's neck. Zereschute went from being full of life to flopping onto the ground lifeless in an instant because Aqua's power as a goddess was probably stronger than ever before.

"…"

"G-Gahhhh! You killed him! You killed him! I'm going to kill you, wretch!"

Jatis reached for his sword, seeming to pull it out and create another scenario similar to the one he created earlier, but he was stopped by Vanir, who held his hand on the sword's handle.

"As much as Moi would love this Goddess to get harassed, there are rules."

Vanir pointed to a sign that was now dangling from the store's front door.

Squinting, I noticed the sign said, "No Royal Weapon Drawing In The Store! Thank you once again!"

… How'd he do that? Because I know damn well that wasn't there when we walked in.

"I'd also like to ask you to keep an eye on Moi as I solve this whole mess we've created!"

"… Eh?"

Vanir reached down and wrapped his palm around Zereschute's neck, causing a strange glowing of light to flow from their contact until it quickly faded.

"Cough! Cough! A-Ah thank you, Lord Vanir!"

Vanir saved Zereschute's life.

"Dumbass! Don't do that again, you hear me?"

"Wahhh! Kazumaaahh! Please stop pulling on my cheeks!"

I chastised Aqua because I had to be the one to smack some sense into her.

Jatis stood there frozen. A quick glance at his face suggested that he was in shock.

… Wait, don't tell me he doesn't know Zereschute is a—

"Kyahhh! A-A Zombie! W-What have you done to Sir Zereschute?!"

"…"

I'm guessing he doesn't.

"Moi recognizes that the royal prince is unaware that one of his favorite nobles is a devil and that such knowledge will scar said prince, mwahahaha!"

What a way of telling him…

"W-What?

As he waddled towards Jatis, Zereschute sighed and placed a flipper on the prince's hand.

"I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way, Jatis. I wish I could have told you sooner, but… Well, you already know."

"…"

"I-I… Sir I—"

"Yeah, we get it, but we really need to get going."

I interrupted Jatis because I wasn't going to wait for him to say whatever he was going to say. At any other time, I would have respected the moment, but not now.

"Wiz, could you send us to the Crimson Demon Village? Long story short, Megumin ran away, and we need to find her."

Wiz stood up, a hand on her mouth, and a worried expression on her face. Seeing her react normally to such news made me happy, knowing that there was at least one person who was somewhat normal around here.

"T-That's terrible! I-I—Yes I can! U-Uhm if you would all group together so I can do the spell!"

"W-Wait I—"

"No, it's too late. We've got something else to focus on here, so you can save it for later or something."

I brushed off Jatis' feelings once more because we needed to get going. I don't want to wait any longer than we have to.

We eventually gathered in a circle to wait to be teleported. I had to scoot Jatis into the circle because he was still too shocked by the situation to move.

… But, hey, he didn't call me scum for touching him, so that's something.

"May Moi offer you some travel advice?"

I looked at Vanir and shrugged, letting him finish what he was going to say.

"As a Devil who sees through everything declares, not everyone wears their emotions on their sleeves like your Goddess. Some people require some prodding to seek help, but this does not make them irredeemable jerks, as you may believe."

… Eh?

What does that have—?

"Oh, Wiz, Moi was wondering if you ever did change your marker from near the village to inside the village?"

"Oh, no, I think teleporting into someone's village is impolite."

Eh?

Vanir sighed.

"With the prince by your side, you'll be fine… probably."

Vanir communicated with me telepathically. It didn't help the uncertainty that was already weighing on my mind.

"Okay, I'm ready! Everyone, please travel safely! Tele—"

"W-Wait! W-What do you mean by—?!"

"N-Nyah—?!"

"—port!"

We were immediately teleported. I braced myself for the worst possible outcome that could happen.

"…"

"Why are you curled up in a ball sucking your thumb, Kazuma?"

… Huh?

When I heard Aqua's voice, I slowly opened my eyes. I scanned the ground, eventually looking around at the trees that surrounded us.

"…"

Wait.

This is the home of the female orcs!

What the hell, Wiz?!

To calm myself, I took a deep breath.

"Nyah."

Chomusuke rubbed her forehead against mine, attempting to get me off my ass and onto my feet. I did so shortly after.

I returned my gaze to the prince, who was now sulking.

You know, like a face that made it very clear that you had been betrayed by one of your childhood heroes.

I can't say I understand his pain, but I understand where he's coming from.

As I brushed the dirt off my pants, I sighed.

I looked around to make sure everyone was there, counting Aqua, Jatis, and Darkness—Wait, Darkness isn't here…

I panicked and looked around, trying to figure out where the hell Darkness had gone. Aqua then poked my shoulder and directed my gaze to a nearby tree. Darkness dangled from it, and she blushed a deep red as her armor held her in very… questionable ways.

… Ew.

I honestly don't know how this happened. Maybe something went wrong with the spell?

"Hey, Darkness, are you all right up there? Do you need us to help you in getting down—?"

"N-No! I-I'm perfectly capable of g-getting myself down, hahaha~! Hfff~!"

Darkness inhaled deeply as the armor that wrapped itself around her tightened the clothes she wore beneath, revealing the overall shape of her body.

She was really enjoying herself.

… Even more ew!

I couldn't take it any longer. Aqua and I eventually helped Darkness in getting down, only to see her disappointment.

"All right, now that that's settled, let's get the hell out of here."

I looked at Jatis, who was still stunned by what had happened earlier with that damn penguin.

… Come on, get over it already.

I approached him and fixed my gaze on him with unmoving eyes. I mean, I felt bad for him, but he needs to pick up the pace if he wants to "impress his father" or whatever nonsense he said earlier.

I'm not even trying to be mean.

I'm just trying to get my explosive maniac back.

… I also don't want to be raped by a female orc.

"Come on man we don't have time to—"

"D-Don't touch me! You filthy peasant!"

Ah.

There it is.

Before I could even place my hand on Jatis' shoulder, he slapped it away.

"Y-You have no idea what it's like to discover that someone you looked up to is a fraud!"

Maybe.

… But.

"Listen, I don't know what you were taught as a child or whatever, but why does it really matter if the penguin, or whatever his name is, is a devil? What difference does it make? He still did the same things."

Jatis fixed his gaze on me, his eyes widening slightly.

To be honest, I didn't want to stay here any longer, so I was saying anything that could persuade the prince to get over his "heartbreak" and think with his head.

I sighed and I looked around us, Aqua could be seen trying to calm Darkness down from her "erotic spaz" she had just moments ago.

"Listen, just trust me when I say this place is bad news. You don't want to be here that long. Especially given what nearly happened to me."

The prince stared at me as if I were insane.

"Huh? What do you mean—?"

"Shh!"

As my enemy detection skill activated, I slammed my hand shut on the prince's mouth, to which he retaliated by trying to pry my hand off, but I wasn't about to let go so easily.

Not when my virginity is at stake!

"Mmph!"

Oh, no, no, no.

"Bleh! I'll have you hanged for that, you filthy peasant—Eh?"

The prince finally yanked my hand away from his mouth as he backed away from me, bumping into the massive flesh wall that stood behind him.

"Look who we've got here, two handsome hunks. I'm excited to see what kind of "sweet" party we can throw together! Are you up for a threesome, hm? Or how about a whole orgy?!"

"Mhm yes, let us all pleasure each other until the end of time!"

"Let's get started, girls!"

The flesh wall turned out to be a female orc… Unfortunately, she brought her friends with her. The rest of the female orcs screamed with delight as the main orc suggested raping us.

… This world is so cruel.

"Run!"

Part 4

"Aqua buff us! BUFF US!"

"I-I can't! You're too far away!"

Jatis and I ran for our lives, terrified out of our damn minds.

… I mean, at least Jatis had come to his senses. It's about damn time.

"What the hell are those things?!"

"Huh?! Have you never seen an orc?"

"Are those things orcs? They're even worse than I could have imagined!"

"Kazuma! Jackass! Just keep running, and we'll help you!"

"Nyah!"

Aqua yelled as she chased us down, Chomusuke meowing loudly on her shoulder. Darkness, on the other hand, could be seen struggling and panicking as she put on her jet-black armor.

Dumbass! I told her to put it on beforehand!

I returned my attention to Jatis, who was now running slightly ahead of me.

"Do something! Aren't you supposed to be strong?!"

"I don't want those things getting close to me or my sword! You kill them! Did you not defeat the Demon King?"

"God damn it who cares! We're about to be violated and you're worried about that?! Prince my ass! You're nothing but all talk—W-Wait! Don't leave me!"

The prince rushed ahead of me, leaving me behind.

"Grr! Whatever! You better be thankful for this, Sacred Explosion!"

Jatis abruptly came to a halt and turned around, at which point a beam of light exploded from his hands, decimating the group of orcs it struck.

Oh good, at least he can back up his bullshit.

Prince Jatis smiled smugly, closing his eyes and striking a slight pose.

"…"

What the hell.

… Wait.

Where are the rest of the—?

"Fwahahaha! Were you truly terrified of these? That was so simple—Gah!"

Prince Jatis' glee was cut short when the rest of the orcs appeared out of nowhere and pinned him down.

Oh shittt!

"Such beauty and strength! He is, without a doubt, a noble! Let us all have a plethora of children with his holy "sword"! Ladies, let us feast—!"

"Kyahh! Get away from me! Goddammit, get off of me!"

Jatis desperately tried to push them away, but he couldn't match their tenacity, and they just kept coming.

Oh man.

I'm hoping he isn't a virgin.

Fortunately, Darkness appeared in her jet-black armor, violently tackling some of them away. She managed to somewhat alleviate the situation.

… Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as more of them piled on top of him.

He's not only going to get violated but they're gonna end up killing him!

As I watched the horror unfold in front of me, I gulped and tightened my fists.

What the hell am I supposed to do?!

"Oh, sugar, calm down! Cmon! Let's get this party started! Tell me whether you prefer to be at the bottom or on top! Never mind, don't tell me! I'll find out which position your "friend" prefers, Mhm!"

"Kyahhh! I-I still haven't had my first k-kiss! Please don't!"

"…"

I guess I don't have much of a choice.

Even though I sorta hate him, I will not tolerate this injustice! A man should be able to enjoy his first time! And I'll see to it that it happens for him!

… Maybe I'm self-projecting.

"Yo, orcs! Lookie here!"

I stripped down to my underwear and wiggled my hips in a "seducing" manner. All of the orcs focused their attention on me right away.

Please forgive me, Megumin.

I returned my attention to Jatis, who was traumatized as an orc straddled him on the ground. It was remarkably similar to how it was for me when this same situation happened.

… You better be praising and thanking me later, you scumbag prince…

"W-Wha?! I-I knew Kazuma was down bad, but to think he's fine even with orcs!"

I turned to face Aqua as she remarked on my heroic sacrifice for the snooty prince.

… This fucking idiot.

"Woah! Mama likey! Come on, sweet cheeks!"

As all of the orcs' attention was drawn to me, they all ran towards me, hunger in their eyes.

Wait, that actually worked?

I mean—

Great just like I planned! They're all running towards me!

As the sounds of their footsteps clanging against the grass became louder, I wondered how it had come to this.

"Kazuma no! They'll run you dry!"

"Sniff K-Kazuma!"

Darkness and Jatis both yelled at me as the horde of female orcs ran towards me, drooling. I readied my hand as time seemed to slow down for me, kinda like in a movie where everything depends on the MC.

Okay, let's hope this works.

I took a big gulp.

"Flash!"

"W-Wah?! Kyah! My eyes! it's too bright!"

Oh thank god.

I took advantage of the orcs' confusion at the bright light I set off with my flash to slip past them and grab my clothes.

"Now Jatis!"

"H-Huh—Oh! Right!"

I called Jatis, who was getting up from the traumatic experience and wiping away what appeared to be tears.

Thankfully, he seemed to get the message seeing as he nodded to me when I called his name.

He ran fast, as in abnormally fast, towards the orcs with his sword drawn. I mean, this dude's freaking speed stats were most likely maxed out.

… I guess I can't blame him though, pretty sure that's normal for royalty.

"Holyyyyyyyyy Sword!"

He sliced clean through the remaining orcs, landing with lightning speed. Finally, the orcs all fell to the ground, dead.

It was over.

I looked around to make sure there weren't any more orcs, then when my fears were put to rest, I sighed and collapsed to the ground, exhausted.

"K-Kazuma! Are you okay?!"

Aqua inquired as she ran up to me. She slid down next to me and lifted my head onto her lap, allowing me to look up at her.

"So… Scary…"

As pathetic as it may sound, I sucked my thumb…

… But hey, I just went through some traumatic shit again, so I deserve to do whatever I want!

"Prrrrr."

Chomusuke snuggled her head against mine, also trying to comfort me about what had happened.

I looked up at the sky past Aqua, letting myself be taken in by the blue color. For some reason, I just wanted to think about nothing and stare at it all day.

"Hahhhh…. Hoooo… I-I think that's… I think that's all of them—"

The prince collapsed next to me, belly first.

Darkness made her way to us, making loud clanking noises as she slowly stripped off her jet-black armor.

Seriously just keep it on…

Fortunately, she had brought an undercoat of smaller armor from the house.

She eventually passed out next to us.

There we were, the four of us. After almost being raped by orcs, I'm lying in an open field…

As I raised my hand to the sky, I sighed.

… Why does this only happen to us…?

Megumin Interlude 2

"By the way, how should I address Lady Aqua, Megumin? Will I be punished because she is a literal Goddess with whom I casually interacted so many times?"

"What are you on about? Aqua isn't like that… She doesn't mind."

"Really? That's a relief…"

Yunyun sighed as if I had solved a dilemma for her.

"What's it like, by the way? You know… Living with an actual Goddess?"

"Nothing has changed. Aqua is exactly the same as we've always seen her, with the exception of a hefty tag that we can now see."

"Is that so…? I still can't believe I'm friends with a Goddess."

Really…

We had just teleported to the village thanks to Yunyun's teleportation skill.

When we arrived, there was a large crowd of people standing.

Oh?

Fufufufu… I guess I have no choice.

"Megumin, the legendary hero, has arrived! It's okay, my fans, just one at a time… Eh?"

For some reason, everyone ignored my declaration, while Yunyun appeared to be very uncomfortable.

"These aren't tourists, Megumin! They're officials from the Capital here to make inspections. I'm really sorry everyone!"

Yunyun apologized frantically as everyone simply stared at each other.

"We are here to get you a new staff so let's just go do that."

Yunyun rushed over to me and shoved me in the direction of Funifura's house.

But I refused. I pushed Yunyun away.

Something is off… By now, everyone in the village should be very curious and approaching me.

They must have heard about what Kazuma and I accomplished, right?

… Right?

However, as soon as I locked eyes with someone, they either ran or teleported away.

"…"

"Hey Yunyun, what's up with the village?"

"What do you mean Megumin?"

"Everyone is avoiding me as if I'm a member of the Axis Cult or something. Do you know anything about it?"

"Won't Lady Aqua be furious if you say that? But now that you mention it, everyone is trying to avoid us… Do you think they've had enough of me and are planning to kick me out of the Chief's chair—"

"No… Ugh! You know what?!"

I decided to take matters into my own hands and approached a NEET I knew would be hanging out nearby.

I approached Bukkorori when he wasn't looking.

"Yo Bukkorori, why is everyone avoiding me?"

I gently yanked him by his collar

"Ah, Megumin! We have just been so enamored by your greatness that we decided not to get in your way!"

"Oh, I see. You didn't have to be so weird about it—"

"Look at that! The joke mage actually bought it!"

I could hear someone laughing.

… Ah yes, I remember. I clenched my fist.

"Aqua is an expert at resurrection magic. I suppose she'll get to practice today—"

"Okay I'm sorry! Look, you do this nonsense every time you come around, so everyone has decided to just ignore you until you get better. Learning actual magic, you know."

"…"

… So it's like that, isn't it?

I let him go and walked towards Yunyun. As I lowered my hat, I said:

"Now that's cleared up. Let's go"

I'll be back in Axel soon after I finish off my business anyways so I don't have to think about this anymore…

… Eh?

I noticed Yunyun wasn't walking with me anymore.

Where did this girl—?

"ALL OF YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!"

Yunyun yelled at the top of her lungs in the middle of the village, drawing everyone's attention.

What the—?!

She jumped to the highest point where everyone could see her.

What is this girl doing?!

"Get down from there, Y-Yunyun! Stop making me look bad—!"

"Megumin had accomplished the impossible not too long ago! She took out the Demon King's barrier and the general who was maintaining it on her own. The same general who was rumored to be the world's strongest mage! Have any of you accomplished this? The entire village has spent centuries trying to attack that area with no success, and if a "joke" magician can do it, what the hell does that make the rest of you?! If anyone ever says that again, you will have to hear from me! The next chief of the village! Or the legendary hero who defeated the Demon King himself, Kazuma! Megumin's s-special friend!"

"…"

As Yunyun finished her unusually long speech, everyone just stared at her.

People began poking their heads out of their house windows, as Yunyun had somehow managed to reach everyone.

… But no one seemed to care because everyone just went back to doing what they were doing before.

However, I applaud Yunyun for having the courage to do so.

… Even if I was too embarrassed to show my face right now…

As my face burned bright red, I hid behind my hat.

"… Why…?"

As Yunyun hopped down from the pile of boxes she was standing on, she returned her gaze to me with a slightly nervous expression.

"Huh? O-Oh! Because I can't see my friend getting hate for no reason—!"

"No, I mean why did you include Kazuma in your speech?"

"…"

"Oh… I'm not sure, I got really excited and rambled. But I'm sure Kazuma would be furious if he saw how you were treated."

Kazuma's name made my heart skip a beat.

… No!

I smacked my face with both hands, trying not to think about Kazuma because I had work to do before I could see him again.

"W-Wha?! Why did you do that, Megumin?!"

Yunyun worried over me like usual.

"I just needed a quick nudge to stay on track… C'mon! Let's go to Funifura's house and get me a new staff! —Eh?"

Yunyun suddenly raised her hand to her ear and said:

"Oh, Kazuma! I'm fine! You contacted me yet again! Does this mean you're free to hang out with me?"

K-Kazuma?!

"Remember when you first learned Telepathy and wanted to put it to the test, and you called me? I asked if you or anyone else wanted to hang out with me, and you said you were too busy?"

He'll probably ask if I'm with her! I must stop this! I don't want him to find out where I am!

"Huh? Oh, she is—Ow! No, I mean no! Sorry, you have got the wrong person! Bye!"

As a shushing gesture, I stepped on Yunyun's foot. I signaled for her to end the call, which she thankfully understood and excused herself from.

"O-Ow! That hurt a lot! What's your issue?"

Yunyun yelled at me, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Listen, you're not supposed to tell Kazuma where I am!"

"Huh? But why? Doesn't he know where—?"

Oh right, I forgot to explain the whole situation to Yunyun.

"Listen, long story short, we were recently attacked by a Demon Queen general. That's how my staff broke."

Yunyun remained static, my words still processing in her mind.

"W-Whaaat?! Y-You were attacked by a general?! Who?!"

"… The one I'll defeat myself?"

I honestly forgot what her name was…

"I thought you said we were going to! As in "us together?!"

I sighed and raised my hands to my brow, trying to find a way to alleviate the situation.

"Listen, yes, we were attacked, and yes, we may have been severely beaten. But don't worry, I'll make things right! I'm going to teach that nutcase not to mess with my friends or my man!"

"…"

… What? Did she not understand me or something?

I reached out to Yunyun, but she quickly smacked my hand away.

"Eh? What's your problem—"

"Megumin, we're doing this together! C'mon!"

She grabbed my wrist and dragged me through the village, people gazed at us as I tried to break free from her monster grip.

"Yunyun, that hurts! Stop! let go!"

I wasn't paying attention to where she was leading me, but when we came to a stop I realized where we were.

"M-Megumin?! Yunyun?"

Oh.

Funifura made her way down the steps of her porch to us.

Yunyun appeared to have dragged me all the way to Funifura's house.

"Wait… Were you guys yelling earlier? My brother was furious because it was so bothersome! Do the two of you have no shame?"

Oh no, she's at it again.

… Brother lover…

"I-I'm sorry… I was only defending Megumin…"

Yunyun spoke softly, trying to explain herself. She fidgeted with her hands.

Funifura raised a hand to her mouth, hiding a huge grin as she looked Yunyun up and down.

"Oh, I thought you and that Kazuma hunk were doing well, but I guess you're back with Yunyun now, huh? Is it all right if I steal him?"

"…"

This bitch.

"Oh, blackness shrouded in light…"

"H-Huh?! W-Wait—!"

"Frenzied blaze clad in night…"

As I began my explosion chant, I circled my hands around in a circle.

My staff may still be broken, and my explosions may not be as powerful without it, but I will still blow this girl up. Especially after daring to suggest stealing my man.

"W-Wait Megumin stop! I was just joking—!"

… Yeah sure you were.

"Now hear me now world… Explos—Gah!"

Yunyun tackled me to the ground while Funifura hid behind a nearby pillar, hoping to protect herself from the explosion I was about to unleash on her.

"Let me go, Yunyun! I have to punish her for what she had said! You heard me, Funifura! This isn't over—Mmph!"

My mouth was covered by Yunyun.

"I'm so sorry, Funifura! S-She's been going through a lot lately, so she's really emotional right now!"

Yeah right!

"M-Megumin's even scarier now!"

Funifura spoke softly as she peered around the pillar she was standing behind.

Yunyun was finally able to bring us to a ceasefire after several attempts to make things right between me and Funifura.

… At least from my side. Funifura wasn't really attacking me to begin with.

Physically at least…

"So, what brings you here? Megumin, I thought you were off exploding who knows what?"

I gave her one more death stare.

I think she got the message because she quickly looked away and apologized to me.

"You remember that staff you guys gave me?"

"… Yeah?"

I took a pause and sighed before continuing.

"Okay, well… It broke. So I've come to get another."

"…"

Funifura sighed and said:

"We knew you were reckless when we were constructing your staff, Megumin. But we also knew you were capable, so the staff was made with the finest materials to withstand any magical incantation. What on earth did you do to break it—?!"

"A vampire broke it with her scythe."

"Eh?! Why were you in a position where an enemy could strike you?! Did you make a mistake with your party's positioning? And if it's simply broken, we can repair it—"

"Can't."

I stated bluntly while fidgeting with my hands.

"Megumin, as long as the core is intact we can salvage—"

"Actually, Funifura, Megumin told me that the scythe makes everything it touches irreparable by magic and that when she tried to do it herself, it repelled the parts she tried to attach."

Yunyun explained while I couldn't stop thinking about that horrible sight.

"…"

"That's… Amazing! So bad, but also so cool!"

… Eheh.

"So, now that you know… Can I get a replacement?"

"Megumin, that staff took a lot of stuff that took us days to collect, and that doesn't even take into account the time it took to craft."

… Oh.

I knew what a generous gift it was, but hearing this makes me feel even worse about what happened to it.

"Don't you have any other staffs?"

Yunyun inquired as Funifura pondered for a moment.

"Hm… We have a few good ones, but none are as good as that one—"

"Just give me the best one you've got… I'll need it."

"W-Woah! Megumin you sound so cool!" x2

Fufufufu…

Funifura went back to get it and returned with one that looked similar to my old one but was completely different.

It had a black base with red trimmings on the sides and a pointed top rather than a circle like my old one.

… It was pretty cool.

"Here… It's free as a thank you for your party. We were in a tight spot in the battle against the Demon King's Army, but his defeat made all the monsters far more manageable."

Oh.

I caught the staff that Funifura tossed to me. I gave her a small smile after looking at her with wide eyes.

… Even though I was attempting to kill her earlier, I appreciate the times when she has my back.

"Fufufu it may not be as perfect as my old one but this shall do. Now to finish it off I shall attach the last part, a manatite gifted from my man Kazuma!"

I took a manatite from my bag and held it up in the air for the two to see.

"H-Hey stop bragging about having a man, we get it!" x2

I gave them a smug look before slamming the manatite into the point at the top. The staff gladly accepted the manatite as they both fused together, eventually forming the final product.

"Fufufufu! The Great Lord Megumin is back!"

"…"

"Don't get too carried away…"

Funifura added her opinion.

"Great! We're finally on our way! … Wait. Do you think we could benefit from a vanguard?"

"Huh? Vanguard? Where are you two going that would need a vanguard?"

Funifura questioned after hearing Yunyun's suggestion.

"Well, I'm glad you asked! For the great Megumin and her subordinate—"

"E-Eh?!"

"—will be facing off against a Demon Queen General!"

"Eh?! A General of the Demon Queen?! Are you serious?!"

"Fufufufu, of course I am."

"I-I think we should ask Kazum—Ow!"

At the mention of my man's name, I stepped on Yunyun's foot once more.

"No! We can't ask Kazuma!"

"H-Huh?! I'm still baffled as to why we can't just ask him?! What's the big deal about Kazuma knowing what you're up to?"

… Ugh.

"Oooh Megumin's hiding a secret from her man~? That's quite scandalous."

I'm seriously gonna blow Funifura's house up…

"I don't care if Kazuma knows what I'm up to; he already knows. It's the fact that I want to do it without him… I… I have to make things right…"

Yunyun and Funifura looked at me, then at each other, puzzled.

Yunyun sighed and said:

"You can be quite confusing at times, but… I think I know someone who can help."

Eh?

"We need to find Dust."

"…"

"Eh?!" x2

Unknown Location

My fists were clenched as I walked down the dark red corridor.

How could she have sent me out there without informing me about that wretched being?

I slammed the doors open, making a lot of noise.

"What the hell was that priest?!"

I yelled at the Queen, who was sitting on her throne in front of me. She sat in an unusual position. Her legs dangled over the side of the throne, her head dangling on the opposite side.

She eventually became aware of my presence and sat up straight.

"Eh? I gave you buffs to deal with holy magic, and you expected someone who had reached daddy to be easy pickings…?"

I clenched my fists even tighter in embarrassment at her retort.

It's not like it's all my fault…

"Every cell in my body told me to stay away from her! I swear to you, she's not normal—!"

"I don't care! I only gave you one task! And you've failed! Do you understand what that means?"

Shit!

"Wait a minute! I'm sorry! I'll do better next time! Please, please, please!—Agh!"

One of the Queen's guards kicked me back. As my body slammed into the wall, I staggered back. As a result of the impact, blood poured from my mouth.

"I-I'm sorry…. My… Queen."

The Queen looked at me with disgust and motioned for someone to approach her.

My vision was blurry as blood from my wounds spilled into my eyes, but I could make out a woman with light green hair standing beside the Queen, whispering into her ear.

The Queen soon nodded and directed the woman towards me.

Oh no…

Please no!

Don't!

"I-I don't want to die! Please!"

I managed to raise my arms in defense of the horror that was about to befall me.

The woman got closer and closer until she was standing directly in front of me.

"… I-I'm sorry… P-Please…"

I suppose this is it… I'm sorry, Mo—Eh?

A green glow appeared from where the woman had placed her hand on me. I could sense… No pain?

Actually, I felt… good?

"…"

T-Too good! I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it—!

"GAHH!"

Everything went black.

A/N: There's another chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed it!
