Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 15 to Someone Like You. Thank you to all of those who have left reviews in this story and have kept up with it. I'm trying my best to write this story out to make sure that everything is going well and making sure that the rewrite is of course better. Hopefully this time it turns out much better than what I had written prior. But please keep in mind that some of the stuff is the same just with extra stuff added in. Without further ado Chapter 15. ENJOY!
Chapter 15
Rose was correct about how long it took Elizabeth to drink, but she knew that Elizabeth had a plan and she watched her younger sister take little sips making it seem like it was more than a little sip. Rose herself slowly took little sips of it trying her best to not drink too much. Her eyes locked onto the fire that they had put together to keep warm for the night. She turned watching her sister and Jack, bottles in hand, roaring drunk, arm and arm, singing a song.
"We're devils, we're black sheep, we're really bad eggs. Drink up me hearties, yo ho. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!" Elizabeth sang and danced with Jack.
Rose tried her best to not laugh at what her sister was doing. Making a complete fool of herself by pretending to be drunk. She wondered if she should tell Will if they saved him in time, telling him how far Elizabeth was going to go to save his life.
"I LOVE this song. Really bad eggs!" Jack said as he stumbled and fell onto the beach.
Elizabeth fell next to him not at all graceful into the sand.
"When I get the Pearl back, I'm going to teach it to the whole crew, and we'll sing it all the time!"
"And you'll be positively the most fearsome pirates in the Spanish Main."
"Not just the Spanish Main, love. The entire ocean ... the entire world. Wherever we want to go, we go. That's what a ship is, you know. It's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails. That's what a ship needs ... but what a ship is - what the Black Pearl really is ... is freedom."
Rose watched her sister lay her head on Jack's arm. Rose slowly took a swig of the rum she had next to her. Her eyes drifted to the line out to the sea and took a shaky breath. She could only wonder if James and their father were searching for them. Her heart pounded wondering what James thought of the whole thing of her going with Will and Jack. She couldn't help but wonder if he thought of her or if he had thought about Elizabeth this entire time.
"Jack, it must be really terrible for you to be trapped on this island." Elizabeth said softly.
"Ah, yes...but the company is infinitely better than last time, and the scenery has definitely improved." Jack mused with a smile as he stroked her shoulder softly.
Elizabeth reacted to Jack's hand suddenly on her shoulder. She moved away. "Mr. Sparrow. I'm not entirely sure I've had enough rum to allow that kind of talk."
"I know exactly what you mean, love."
Elizabeth shrugged with a sleight, but promising smile. She could only hope that her plan that she had in her mind was going to work. She needed her sister's help to make everything easier on them to get off the island and to save Will.
Jack smiled back, sprucing himself up with a twist of the mustache.
Elizabeth raised her almost empty bottle. "To freedom!"
"To the Black Pearl!"
They tapped their bottles.
Elizabeth feigned a drink as he chugged.
Jack fell back onto the beach and passed out from how much he had drunk.
Rose got up to her feet dusting her pants off. "Now, shall you clue me into this plan of yours?" She questioned as Elizabeth got up to her feet dusting off her slip. Her brow raised as she looked at her younger sister. "I could tell that you were planning something, you just wanted to get Jack out of the way so we could do it."
"We're burning the rum. To send a signal sky high…" Elizabeth explained softly, keeping her voice down so Jack couldn't hear either one of them.
"For father and James to find us…" Rose said softly. "This has to be the craziest plan that you have ever come up with besides the fact that you had gone with a group of blood shedding pirates." Rose shook her head lightly looking up at Elizabeth. "This can't be the safest plan that we have, but the only one we can use."
Elizabeth nodded her head. "Come on."
Rose carefully followed Elizabeth to where the rum was. She was being very careful to not slip on the sand as she moved.

Rose and Elizabeth worked hard on the casks from the pit and set them on fire sending smoke high into the clear blue sky.
"Couldn't say that would've worked any better." Rose said, looking over at her sister giving her a smile.
"I couldn't let Will die…" Elizabeth said, trailing off her cheeks flushing in embarrassment.
Rose looked over at her sister before coming over to her and putting her hand on Elizabeth's shoulder. "You really do love him?" She asked softly looking into her sister's brown eyes with her blue ones.
Elizabeth looked down shyly. "I… I think I do." Elizabeth said as she tossed another keg onto the fire. She ducked as there was a small explosion. She then continued on throwing another keg.
Rose tossed another keg, ducking, before tossing another.
"No! Not good! Stop! Not good! What are you doing? You've burned all the food, the shade –- the rum!" Jack said, rushing up to them.
"Yes, the rum is gone." She wiped her hands on her slip.
A rum barrel in the fire exploded.
"Why's the rum gone?"
Rose rolled her eyes looking over at her sister to set this pirate straight. She wasn't about to get involved with him after everything that happened. She hoped that once she returned home, she would never have to see that pirate ever again.
"One, because it is a vile drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two –-" She pointed to the sky. "That signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire Royal Navy is out looking for me and Rose- do you really think that there's even the slightest chance that they won't see it?"
"But why's the rum gone?"
"Just wait, Captain Sparrow. You give it one hour, maybe two, keep a 'weather eye open' and you will see white sails on that horizon!" She said as she sat down staring out to the sea. She brought her knees up to her chest.
Rose slowly sat down next to her younger sister nudging her a little with her shoulder.
Jack pulled out his pistol, controlling his urge to shoot her. He then put away his weapon and stocked up on the beach just to get away from the two Swann sisters.
"I think we may have upset him." Rose mused softly as she looked out to the sea.
"We will be off this island soon." Elizabeth said softly resting her head lightly on her older sister's shoulder.
"I do not doubt it in the world. I just want us to be safe and sound and back home… after saving Will of course." She looked over at Elizabeth. "What are you going to tell James… and father?" She questioned softly as she rubbed Elizabeth's back trying her best to soothe her younger sister with everything that had happened so far. She honestly wished that she had protected her sister better than what she had.
Elizabeth took a soft breath thinking for a moment. "The truth…"
"And what would that be?" Rose asked softly looking over at her sister out of the corner of her eyes unsure of what her younger sister was thinking.
"Tell father that I do not accept Commodore Norrington's proposal… that I'm in love with Will…" Elizabeth admitted softly.
Rose let out a soft chuckle. "You know he won't be happy to know this…" She shook her head lightly in thought.
"What if Commodore Norrington proposed to you?" Elizabeth questioned nuding her with a coy smile on her lips.
Rose took a soft breath. "You really think he would propose to me?" Rose looked over at her sister. "After everything that happened with Mr. Beckett." She let out a soft sigh, shaking her head once again. "Who would want someone who turns down a man on the other side of the world. A man who worked for the East India Trading Company? No woman should've denied him… but I did."
Elizabeth shifted a little. "I think he loves you." She admitted softly, giving her sister a small smile. "And with Beckett… you wouldn't have been happy with him…"
Rose looked down, biting her lower lip softly between her teeth. She began to wonder if Elizabeth knew something that she didn't know.
"And he picked the wrong sister to begin with." She mused letting out a soft chuckle. "He should've picked you, the two of you know each other better than anyone could ever dream."
Rose looked over at Elizabeth, her brow furrowed, her cheeks flushing red in embarrassment knowing that Elizabeth had seen little hints here and there as he had begun his career in the naval offices.
"I know what you think Rose… that everyone adores me and not you…" Elizabeth shook her head lightly.
Rose shook her head lightly. "Elizabeth, you are well adored…"
Elizabeth looked over at Rose. "You are too. I'm not the only one… we're both respectable daughters of the Governor." Elizabeth pointed out to her sister. She didn't understand why her older sister didn't think the way that she did.
Rose looked down shyly, her blonde hair falling over her shoulders as she nibbled her lip shyly. "That may be true, but it won't change James's mind…"
"What if I ask him to?" Elizabeth questioned softly turning to Rose.
Rose looked over at her sister with wide eyes. "What?" She was gobsmacked that her sister would even think of doing such a thing. Why would she ask James to propose to her when he had asked Elizabeth. She couldn't help but wonder why Elizabeth would say such a thing. "Elizabeth, you couldn't even dream of thinking that."
Elizabeth shrugged her shoulders lightly. "You are a far better match for him than myself."

This is the end of Chapter 15. I hope that you all enjoyed this chapter. We're getting closer to the last chapter. Which I know I have my work cut out for me. I know I have to change a lot in the last few chapters compared to what I have written in previous stories. But thankfully I'm hoping that this time around turned out a lot better. I kept up the old stories as a reminder that yes, I can royally mess up when it comes to writing the story. But this time around I'm adding in a bunch of extra stuff to keep it going. Hopefully it turned out much better this time around. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Reviews actually keep me going with my writing. I know that I have a long way to go and once I finish writing this first book, I'll be taking a small break from this series to work on some of my other stories to get them finished before I start working on any sequels to the stories that I have finished. Even though I've done quite a few sequels that are starting and being posted now, I am going to try and work on some others to make sure that they're finished as well. Until next time.
