Sorry I took so long because I thought it takes a lot faster than that, but it turns out that it might take too long to come up with the plot. I assure you that I may or may not be available from time being because I have to help my family whenever they need me. So anyway, there will be NO insults or spam for this chapter. There could be some dialogue as long as I gave credits to my friends. Thank you for your patience and enjoy reading!

Amphibia: Calamity War

The Domino Effect

The next day, everyone's been doing their own chores and looked much happier that one of their friends, Darrel has made his trek along with the Salamanders to find them until they stumbled and reunite each other.

While Darrel and the Salamanders are staying at the house, they're helping out their housework like for example. Sasha and KJ were cleaning the house by dusting and sweeping, Marcy and Tint were polishing Bessie's shell, and the rest are Anne, Darrel, Frank, and Sprig were harvesting the crops.

Hop Pop and Cronaxx were sitting on the racking chair while Polly was sitting in her bucket, reading a book of Amphibian's history despite that fact she looks a bit bored. The eldest frog of the family had never felt more pleased in his life.

"I gotta say, Cronaxx. Your human companion is very helpful around here." said Hop Pop.

"That's because he has good reason." replied Cronaxx.

Darrel was the most trust person to Anne and the others and remained loyal to one another. As the two elderly amphibians watch, Darrel finishes hoeing the fields while Anne brings out a sack of seeds and throws in a handful at a time. They high fived until Sprig and Frank has approached to them.

"Hey, guys. Wanna go play in the wilderness? Frank is teaching me how to play baseball." Sprig smiles.

"Really?" Anne smiles back.

"Yeah, it'll be fun." replied Frank, holding his mantis scythe.

"Guess I'm okay with it. Let's call it a day and have fun." said Darrel.

"Alright!" Sprig bounce with joy.

As the four of them rushes off to do something fun, Hop Pop was rubbing his finger under his chin, looking curious about Darrel.

"You sure he's not using magic to plant the crops?" Hop Pop asked.

"Magic is not the solution to all our problems." replied Cronaxx.

"Apparently, Darrel knows that."

Then suddenly, they hear a loud bang in Bessie's stable. They rush to the barn and sees Tint that was covered in snail slime as Bessie coming out of her shell chirping. Marcy giggles a bit when she sees him covered in slime.

"Aw, man." Tint groaned.

"Unfortunately, my nephew still has a lot to learn." Cronaxx gives Tint a washcloth to wash off the slime from his body.

"I wonder what the others are doing right now?" Marcy wondered.

Meanwhile out in the wilderness, Anne, Sprig, Frank, and Darrel took their extra time to play baseball. However, they didn't have enough players to play the game properly. They also didn't have a bat or a ball or a mitten. So, they came up with a new game.

Being a baseball player himself, Frank was the first one up to bat, using the mantis scythe that he used not only for defense and hunting, but for the crops as well. Stepping up to the plate, Frank lightly hits the sides of his shoes on the scythe as if it was a bat before getting position.

"Alright, Sprig! Show me what you've got!" said Frank, holding his scythe.

Struggling at first, Sprig managed to roll the first watermelon onto the pitching mound. Then, using all of his strength, he threw it at Frank. The moment Sprig threw it, Frank went through the motions and took a swing. Cutting the melon in two.

"Woah!" Darrel astonished.

The four of them walked over to the two halves, and Frank picked them up. Placing them together, he saw how close he was to cut it down the middle.

"Wow, Frank! You almost got it!" Sprig smiles.

"Bet I could do better." said Anne with a smirk.

"Oh, is that so?" Frank asked, taking it like she was challenging him. Holding out his scythe to her. "By all means, Anne, show us what you've got."

"You've got it." Anne took the weapon as Sprig ran back over to the pitching mound. Then she walked up to the plate and got ready to swing. "Hey, Batta Batta Batta!"

"Come on, boy, oh boy, oh boy. Right down the ol' alley. Put 'er over the ol' plate! Come on!" Darrel stands behind her as a catcher, with his bare hands.

Mustering all the energy his little arms could give, Sprig threw the next watermelon at Anne. As it came towards her, Anne took a swing. But she misses the watermelon, and it hits Darrel, knocking him down. At the same time, Anne loses her grip on the sickle and goes flying at Sprig.

"Ah, whiffed it," she said, before gasping when seeing the scythe going straight for Sprig. "Sprig!"

"Huh?"

"Watch out!"

Frank ran as fast as he could and tackled Sprig to the ground, just in the nick of time. The scythe flew over them and into the forest, hitting a tree. They were starring in the direction where it flew off, with Sprig standing on Frank's shoulder. A moment later, his hat fell apart. Having been cut sliced in two halves, revealing that he had orange hair.

"Wanna go again?" Sprig asked.

"Yeeeaaahhh!" Anne and Frank cheered.

"Wait, you have hair?" Darrel asked, pointing at Sprig's hair.

Soon, they ventured to the forest to retrieve Frank's scythe. Darrel has already wiped off the watermelon after accidentally being splatted by Sprig and then he took some pieces to share melons with his friends as snacks.

"Are you alright, Darrel?" Anne asked after swallowing her melon.

"I'll be alright. Good thing that this watermelon taste the same." replied Darrel.

"Oh, sorry about your hat Sprig." Anne apologized.

"It's okay." replied Sprig.

Anne smiled in relief as the four ventured deeper into the forest. After walking through a large bush, Anne saw the scythe that was lodged in a tree.

"Oh, there it is."

Frank walked over and yanked the scythe out of the tree. Just as he was about to walk back, but then he heard what sounded like a meow.

"You guys hear that?" Frank asked.

"Hear what?" Sprig puzzled.

Frank held up his hand, silencing them as they listened for the sound again. Another meow echoed throughout the forest.

"Is that a cat?" Darrel asked.

"Am I the only one that's hearing a cat?" Frank added.

"Sounds like it's in trouble." said Anne before running off in the direction of the meowing.

Frank, Darrel, and Sprig glanced at one another before running after her. They all ran through the forest until they came to a clearing and saw the source of the sound in front of them.

They gasped in shock when they saw three giant wasps flying around a small creature stuck in the mud. The meowing was being made by the creature, as it struggled to escape while the wasps stung the ground around it.

"Oh my God! We have to save her!" Anne cried before rushing towards the animal.

"Anne, wait! Don't go out on your own!" Frank calls out, before running after her.

"Right behind ya!" said Sprig, pulling out his faithful slingshot.

"I hate wasps. Why do they have to be wasps?" Darrel takes out his staff, but shakes in fear.

As he trembled in fear, a purple aura began to glow from the staff and then it starts shooting shadow beams rapidly, but the wasps dodges the attack. Anne is sliding across the ground, then reached the creature in distress and grabbed hold of it. Pulling with all her might, she freed it from the mud. Lying on her back and holding it up.

"Gotcha!"

But then, a wasp dived down with its stinger to kill her and the creature. She rolled out of the way, and Frank ran in to swing and cut off the lower half of the abdomen. The wasp shrieked in pain as it flew around before falling and dying. Darrel regain control of his magic power and then waving his arm to get her attention.

"Anne! Let's get out of here!" Darrel cried.

"We've gotta go, Anne!" Frank held out his hand until Anne grabbed it. He pulled her up as the two remaining wasps were about to attack. Before they could, Sprig hit them with stones.

"Take that, buzz brains! Go sting someone you own size!" Sprig cried.

"Don't agitate them! You'll make them more angry!" shouted Darrel.

"Let's go!" cried Anne as the three humans ran to the forest.

"Sprig out! Peace!" Sprig jumps backwards into a bush and follows his friends.

kept running until they were deep in the forest, far away from the wasp. Once they stopped, Frank let go of Anne's hand, dropped his scythe, and leaned forward to put his hands on his knees while panting. Darrel dropped his staff and fell on all fours, breathing at a fast pace. Anne turned her attention to him.

"Darrel, are you okay?" Anne asked.

"Yeah, but just remind me that I hate wasps!" Darrel nodded while catching his breath.

"Still can't get over what happened back then?"

"I was young. A few wasps were near my ear. Of course I'm not over it yet."

"Yeah, me too. I really hate wasps." Frank panted.

"Wait…" Anne stared at him for a moment before giggling and then laughing. "You're scared of bees, aren't you? Dude, I've seen you kill, like, a ton of insects in this world, and you're telling me you're scared of a little bee."

"Hey! I'm not scared!" Frank retorts.

"Looks like we're on the same common, huh?" Darrel smirked at him.

"Well, as least we save this little fella." said Anne, with a smile as she took a look at the creature.

However when she switch her emotions and let out a high pitched scream that startled Frank and Darrel, made them look at the animal, which turned out to be a caterpillar.

It has black fur, with white stripes on her body and chest, two big yellow eyes, and six legs. At that moment, Sprig arrived immediately after hearing Anne's scream.

"What's wrong? Are you stung? Quick, Frank!" He picked up Frank's scythe off the ground and raised it up. "We'll have to amputate!"

"Chill, Sprig. Everyone's fine." Frank grabbed the scythe and lifted it up. Pulling Sprig up with it before he let it go.

"He's right. This caterpillar looks exactly like my cat Domino from back home." said Anne, taking out her phone and showing the two boys a photo of her cat.

The resemblance was strong to the black cat with white stripes along its torso and a white chest. The caterpillar meowed before purring.

"Oh, yeah. I see the resemblance." said Darrel.

"Huh. Now that I see it, they do look alike." Frank rubbing his chin.

"I love my cat more than anything in the world." said Anne putting her phone away. "She was irreplaceable. But now I found a replacement. Let's take her home with us!"

Darrel, Frank, and Sprig glanced at one another before looking back at Anne. Neither of them so sure about taking home the caterpillar.

"Eh, I don't know, Anne. That's a wild animal." said Sprig.

"Yeah, I'm not sure bringing it home is a good idea" Frank agrees when putting his scythe on his shoulder.

"I have to agree with this one, Anne. And besides, caterpillars eventually change into butterflies. Who knows what he could turn into?" Darrel looks concern about the caterpillar.

"Pshh. That's ridiculous. My cat back home was a stray when I adopted her. Besides, I know how much you like Domino, Darrel. You used to play with Domino all the time when you and Sasha visited." Anne shrugged off.

"You saw me playing with your cat?" Darrel asked when he was shocked.

"Of course. All it took was love, patience, and...love." replied Anne.

"You said love twice." said Sprig.

Darrel thought about back to the times when he and Sasha visited Anne's house to hangout. While Sasha talks to Anne, he used to play with her pet cat while playing with her. Anne brings the caterpillar up in Darrel's face, giving him her big puppy eyes.

"Well, I do love cats..." said Darrel, but Frank cuts off his words.

"Uh, Domino was a cat, Anne. This is a caterpillar." said Frank, trying to make her a reason.

"And cat is in the word caterpillar." Anne retorted.

"For the love of... Anne, we can't take home the caterpillar! We don't know what that thing will turn into." Frank pointing to the creature.

"(gasp) Don't call Domino 2 a thing!" Anne gasped dramatically and covered the caterpillar's ears.

"Oh my God, she named it." Frank whispered under his breath before pinched the bridge of his nose. "Do you even know how to take care of a caterpillar?"

"It'll just be like taking care of Domino 1. Please, Frank?" Anne insisted, still holding onto the caterpillar.

Being a dog owner and lover, Frank never stood a chance whenever his dog gave him his puppy eyes. But Anne's puppy eyes showed him an adorable side to Anne that he's yet to see.

He tried to maintain his frown as he looked at her. Not wanting to give in to the temptation of her cuteness. He looked at Darrel who just shrugged like that it always worked on him. In the end, he sighed.

"The things I do for love. All right…"

Anne suddenly ran up to him and hugged him tightly.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" She yelled excitedly.

"But on two conditions: One, Sprig has to be on board with this. And two, we keep an eye on him at all times. I'm not sure what this caterpillar is going to look like in its final phase of metamorphosis." Darrel informed her.

"And she's your responsibility, Anne." Frank told her after she let him go. He then looked down at Sprig. "What do you say, buddy?"

Anne brings the caterpillar up to Sprigs face, and the caterpillar licks it.

"Sold." Sprig already looked convinced.

"It's settled." said Anne, after setting the caterpillar on the ground. Then she took the scythe from Frank and held it upside down like a wand or a sword. "I hereby dub thee, Domino 2."

A ray of sunlight shines on the caterpillar as Anne knighting her. She then handed back the weapon to Frank.

"Come on girl, let's go home."

As the four kids turned and started walking away, but stopped when they realized that Domino 2 wasn't following them. They looked at Domino 2, who just stood there for a moment before falling over on her side.

"Uh, is it broken?" Sprig asked.

"Well, she is a caterpillar. They don't do much." replied Frank.

"Like platypus that don't do much." Darrel added.

"Yeah, that too."

"What's a platypus?" Sprig puzzled.

"I'll tell you later." replied Darrel, but then he got an idea. "Hey Anne, can I see your backpack?"

"Sure, why?" Anne asked.

"I got an idea." Darrel went over and looks through her bag. Frank and Sprig waited as he rummaged through the bag before pulling out a pink mouse toy. "If this worked on Domino 1, then maybe…."

Darrel rattled the mouse in front of Domino 2, getting the little creature's attention. With a meow, she looked up at the toy and became mesmerized by it. However, Sprig did too. Domino 2 got up and started walking towards Anne.

"Wow, that actually worked." said Frank, with an impressed look.

"I can't believe that worked." said Darrel.

"That was clever thinking, Darrel." Anne smiles.

"Thanks Anne, it takes a friend to know a friend's cat."

"That's a girl. You can do it. Come on." Anne cooed, before she, Darrel, and Frank started to walk away with Domino 2 following them.

"I want it. Give it to me." said Sprig with a possessed voice, following the three humans while reaching out for the mouse.

"Maybe this wouldn't turn out so bad." said Frank, smiling.

"But what are we going to do about Hop Pop? You think he'll let you keep Domino?" Darrel asked.

"Don't worry. I've got it covered." replied Anne, confidently.

Back at the Plantars farm, Hop Pop was chopping worms into bit for lunch. He was going to serve up 11 dishes since Darrel and the Salamanders came from last night. Just then, Anne and Frank walked into the kitchen while told Sprig and Darrel to wait outside.

"Hey, Hop Pop, old buddy, old pal." said Anne with a smile.

"What do you want, Anne?" Hop Pop asked.

"We were just thinking. Doesn't this house feel empty to you?"

"Not especially." Hop Pop turned his head and looked at the piles and piles of dirty dishes that were needing to be cleaned.

"You know somethings the only thing that you need to liven up a house is to have a pet around. I remember Roger would always be in the kitchen, just waiting for me to drop a piece of food…" said Frank.

"Great idea, Frank," said Anne before turning to Hop Pop. "What about we get a pet-"

"Absolutely not! Every time we get one, Sprig and Polly swear they're gonna take care of it!" Hop Pop stopped by pointing the cleaver he was using at the two humans. who were looking at the cleaver the old frog kept swinging around.

"Like this one spider we had, Charlie Big Bottom. I mean, sure, they were there for all the cuddlin' and the snugglin', but who gets stuck doin' all the work? Good ol' Hop Pop, that's who!" He then started chopping up the worm into even small pieces as he vented his frustration. "I swear to Frog, whoever brings a fuzzy critter into this house will be on dung duty for a month!"

"Well, you're the frog of the house." Frank chuckled nervously before backing away with Anne.

"Darn right I am! I told Charlie Big Bottom to stay out of the-!"

Frank closed the door after he and Anne made it outside, where Sprig and Darrel was waiting for them. Leaving Hop Pop to continue ranting.

"Well, that was a bust." Frank looked disappointed a bit.

"Okay, so it's clear that Hop pop doesn't want any more pets in this house." said Darrel.

"Then it's time for Plan B. We're gonna have to sneak Domino 2 inside." Anne suggested.

Both Darrel and Frank looked at her with a frown.

"How are we going to do that? If Hop Pop finds out about Domino 2, we're going to be shoveling shit for a month!" Frank looks concerns

"Hey, guy. Should we be concerned about this?" Sprig asked, before lifting up his left leg.

Showing Domino 2 biting on his leg. It didn't hurt too much, but it did make the young frog start to be concerned. Frank grabbed Domino 2 and pulled her off of Sprig's leg.

"Why'd you do that? That was called 'play biting.' And it was cute." Anne looking a little upset.

"Anne, I know what play biting is like, and that wasn't play biting." Frank argued before looking at Domino 2 while still holding her. "Besides, I'm pretty sure she was tasting Sprig."

"That's ridiculous. Trust me. I know cats." Anne shrugging off the concern that the two boys had.

"Again, this isn't a cat, Anne. Domino 2 is a caterpillar" Frank made a scowl.

"Same thing."

"No, it's not!"

"What's all the commotion?" Sasha asked as she approached next to Marcy and KJ.

"Oh! Sash! Hey, we were just-" Anne's words were cut off by Frank.

"Anne rescue the caterpillar."

She punches his arm as he winced a bit. Then the three other humans grew their eyes open, especially Marcy when forming her smile.

"(gasp) A caterpillar!" Marcy gasped before she just grabbed Domino 2 from Frank and looking at her eyes. "Aren't you the cutest little thing!"

"Hey, she looks just like Domino." KJ pointed his finger at her.

"Yep, her name is Domino 2. What do you guys think?" Anne asked.

"Anne? It looks so… weird." Sasha looked a bit unease at first. "You do realize that I'm more than a dog person."

"See? She gets it!" said Frank.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Just because she's a caterpillar, but that doesn't mean that she is a cat!"

"He's right, Anne. I can't be any part of what happens next." Darrel agrees with him.

"It's still the same thing." said Anne.

"It's a completely different thing!" Darrel argued.

"Just help me sneak her into the basement."

"(groaning.) Fine. Sprig, you distract Hop Pop and keep his eyes off the basement door while Anne and I take the caterpillar down there." said Frank looking annoyed.

"Wait, you're gonna sneak that thing inside?" Sasha asked.

"Yes, but please don't tell anyone including Hop Pop?"

Sasha, Marcy, and KJ looked at each other one another and then looks back at him with his pleaded look for Anne's sake.

"This is a bad idea." said Sasha.

"Come on, Sash. What's the worst thing could happen?" Anne assured to her.

"She's a wild animal, Anne. Trust me, you don't wanna near her."

"As much as I hate to argue with you, but you forget. I'm a cat person, remember?"

"Fine, but don't say I warned you."

"Don't worry. Our lips has been sealed." said KJ.

"Definitely." Marcy added.

"Thanks, guys." Frank thanked them before he turns to his amphibian friend. "Sprig?"

Sprig saluted before going over to the door. Darrel shook his head before he goes along too with him. Slowly opening it, they looked inside and saw Hop Pop was still ranting on about having to take care of the family's last pet.

"And how many times did I tell Charlie Bigbottom not to go up the chimney? And that little spider'd look at me with those big green eyes like he understood me. Two minutes later, where do I find him? Up the chimney!" Hop Pop ranted.

Darrel looked at Sprig as they nodded and then walks closer to Hop Pop, just to talk to him. He could feel a strict sense in Hop pop's guts.

"Hey, Hop Pop." He nervously waved.

"What?!" Hop Pop turned to see him before he shrink his emotions. "Oh hey Darrel, what do you want?"

"I just want to ask you something, if that's okay?" Darrel asked.

"Okay, what is it?"

"Have you ever had a pet around the house before?"

"I hope you're not asking about getting a pet. Because the answer is no." Hop Pop declined.

"I'm not, Hop Pop. It's just that my family had pets back home, and I was wondering if you knew how hard it was to take care of them." Darrel assured him.

"Oh, I know just as well as the next amphibian. Every time, every time we get a pet, Sprig and Polly swear they're going to take care of it. Like this one spider we had, Charlie Big-Bottom. I mean, sure they were there for all the cuddling and the snuggling, but I end up doing all the hard work." Hop Pop looks a bit calmed while resuming his cooking.

While he was talking, Darrel looks back where Sprig is standing and nodded to him like a signal. Seeing that he wasn't going to come into the living room and facing away from the front door, Sprig signaled for the humans to come inside.

Frank entered the house, opened the door to the basement, and then signaled for Anne to come. Just as she was about to reach the basement door, Domino suddenly sneezed. All four of them froze and so does Hop Pop.

"What's that?" Hop Pop turned around while still holding the cleaver.

Frank, Anne, and Domino were gone. Then Sprig popped up in front of his grandpa with a nervous smile.

"Uh, hey, Hop Pop, what's the worst thing Charlie Big Bottom ever did, since we're talking about Charlie Big Bottom?" Sprig looking nervous.

"Heh! How can I even choose? Jumpin' out in front of Bessie and overturnin' the wagon. Gettin' tarantula hair everywhere. Then there was the time he put a hole in the roof." Hop Pop exclaimed, going off on another rant.

Unbeknownst to him, Frank and Anne were hiding behind the couch with Anne covering the caterpillar's mouth.

"Where'd that happen again?" Sprig asked.

"You blind? The big hole right there." replied Hop Pop.

"I don't see it."

"Right-It's right there!"

When Hop Pop looked away, the two crawled over to the basement door and opened it. Anne crawled down into it first, before Frank followed her and shut the door. He sighed in relief before walking down the steps to join Anne and her caterpillar.

"That was close." said Frank, sitting down on his bed.

"Eh, it wasn't so bad. At least we got inside." replied Anne with a shrug.

He rolled his eyes in annoyance before walking up the stairs to do his chores. Then Darrel walks downstairs to see her with Domino 2.

"Well, Anne. You owe me one." said Darrel, crosses his arms.

"Hey, it's the least I can do is keep her company."

"Yeah, at least. I'll catch you later Anne, I'll be in Bessie's stable if you need me." He was about to climb out, but Anne stopped him.

"Hey, thank you for helping me, Darrel." Anne thanked him.

He turns around as Anne smiles at him and then he smiles back at her.

"You're welcome, Anne. That's what friends are for." Darrel walks back upstairs to rejoin his own amphibian friends. Hopefully, he won't come to regret this.

The next morning in the stables, Darrel stretched as he prepared for a new day. He looks over to see Tint and Cronaxx that were already up and running as they packed their stuff.

"Good morning, Tint." said Darrel.

"Good morning, Darrel. Today is going to be a great day." Tint added when standing.

"How so?" Darrel asked.

"Because we're going to connect with nature, as part of your magic training." replied Cronaxx.

"Okay."

After they're done packing, they walked out from the barn and spot Hop Pop harvesting in the fields with Marcy and KJ that were already up and running. Seeing his friends working was the best thing they did like how they clean up the houses after the party.

"Morning, fellas." Darrel greeted.

"Hey, dude." KJ waved.

"Morning, Darrel!" Marcy greeted back. "Whatcha up to?"

"We're going to be gone for the day. We'll be back by sundown." Cronaxx answered.

"Really? Going already?" Marcy frown.

"Don't worry. We won't be gone for that long. I'll tell you everything when we get back from training." Darrel assured her.

"Okay, look after yourselves then." Hop Pop nodded.

"Have fun!" Marcy smiles before she waved.

"Be careful!" KJ added.

"We will!" Darrel waved back before he and the Salamanders ventured through the woods. Hop Pop, Marcy, and KJ resume their chores when harvesting the crops.

"So the farm has been in the Plantar name for twelve generations?" Marcy asked when smiles.

"Yup! This farm has been living with the Plantars for twelve generations since our ancestor, Lily Plantar, great-great-great-grandmother who has founded Wartwood and start to have a new family. She's been watching our family and Wartwood grow up for four centuries until today that is. There used to be toads and newts that owned this valley, but when the King realized how cruel the toads were, he decreed that all the valleys would be owned by whoever worked it." Hop Pop explained.

"Wait, there was a king here?" Marcy asked when surprised.

"That's right, the king of Newtopia. Ruler of all Amphibia that's been living for thousands of years." Hop Pop nodded.

"Ooh! Can you tell me more about him?"

"Heh, anytime kiddo. It's nice to have someone around here is interested in the farm's history, unlike those kids." said Hop Pop.

"Speaking of kids, I wonder what kept the others so long?" KJ wondered.

Meanwhile, Frank asleep with Anne and Sasha that they shared last night until he was awakened by the sound of something cuckooing like a rooster. Opening his eyes a little, Frank groaned.

"Another day…" He sighed before trying to sit up.

However, as he did, Frank felt his arm being restrained by something sticky and strong.

"What the?" He pulled his arm hard, and the thing holding his arm ripped. Freeing him. Looking at the arm, Frank was shocked to see what looked like a spider's web hanging from it. "Wait…"

Frank reached for a mushroom light and turned it on. Light returned to the room, and it was a complete mess. Cobwebs surrounded his bed, and there were webs all around the room. Scratch marks were on the walls and even the sacks.

"Oh my God!" Frank yelled with his hands on his head.

Freaked out by the state of the room. Pulling out his knife, Frank cut himself out of the cobwebs that were warped around his legs and jumped off the bed. Just then, Sprig opens the hatch door to check on his human friends.

"Anne, you awake? Anne?" Sprig looked concerns at first, but looking at Frank when he already cuts out the cobwebs from his legs. "Frank, what happened?"

He ignored as he ran over to her bed and threw the covers off. Finding his girl companion sleeping with her hair covering her eyes and Domino 2 sleeping on her stomach. Frank pushed her hair up and away from her eyes.

"Hey, wake up, wake up!" He yelled, shaking her with his other hand.

"Huh?" Anne woke up to see Frank looking down at her with a worried look on his face.

"Anne, what happened? Are you okay?" Sprig asked with concern after approaching next to Frank.

"Hmm? Yeah, totally. Domino 2 just had a bit of a rough first night indoors."

Frank let go of her, and she rolled back over on her side to get some more sleep. However, in doing so, revealed cuts and scratches on the left side of her face and back.

"Eesh, Anne. Domino scratched you up real bad. Why didn't you wake me up if you were having trouble?" He then slapped himself on the head with his eyes widening in disbelief, gesturing to the web-covered room. "How did I even sleep there all of this?!"

"You were pretty out of it once you were finished with work, so I didn't want to wake you up." Anne said with her eyes closed.

Frank and Sprig were a little bit surprised by this, and it made them smile a little. But then they looked around the room again and started to become a little worried.

"Hop Pop is definitely gonna notice something." said Sprig.

"Oh, this is nothing. We just have to keep an eye on her while she's adjusting." Anne told him before pulling out Domino 1's mouse toy, and Domino 2 woke up. She played with the caterpillar, and Domino 2 tried reaching for the toy. "Isn't that right, Domino 2?"

Feeling a little skeptical, Frank and Sprig turned towards Domino 2, but the caterpillar looked at Sprig, and her pupils slowly started to widen and then cover the yellow of her eyes. Reflecting the image of Sprig inside both of them as she drooled. Like she was hungry. A little nervous, Sprig grinned slightly and sweated a little.

"This is still fine." said Sprig, before he was shot in the face with Domino 2's cobweb, knocking him onto the ground. "Ah, my face!"

"That's just how she says 'I love you.'" said Anne before kissing Domino 2 on the head.

Frank groaned in annoyance as he pulled off the web where Sasha sleeps. Luckily for her, her bed was not covered with cobweb.

"(moans) Five more minutes…" Sasha groans when still asleep.

That was the beginning of a long day when Frank and Anne trying to keep Domino 2 out of sight from the rest of the Plantar family with their friends help. Thinking it would be better if the caterpillar had something to hang out on.

Marcy has built a cat tree from logs, branches, and boxes. It would seemed to make Domino 2 happy, as she was popping out of one box and then another. But when Anne and Marcy tried to see where she was in the cat tree, they heard the sound of a meowing from the stairs and saw Domino 2 opening the door and walking out of the basement.

The two freaked out before they ran up the stairs to try and catch her. Domino 2 entered into the kitchen as Hop Pop was trying to make a sandwich and ate it the moment he wasn't looking.

"Hmm. Oh, forgot the mustard." said Hop Pop.

Then Anne quickly grabbed her and ran out of the kitchen before Hop Pop could turn around. Leaving him baffled as to where his sandwich went. When the girls nodded at each other, Anne went down and Marcy went to the office to read the book about living creatures.

Later that day, both Anne and Sasha came back to the basement after a hard day of work and were disguised to see a chewed up bug on her bed. Domino 2 turned to them and meowed. Sasha was still grossed out, Anne thought it was cute. Thinking it was a gift.

However, things almost went bad when Domino 2 tried to eat Polly. Using her webs, she lowered down to the polliwog with her mouth open. But KJ quickly grabbed her and ran before Polly, who was reading a book, noticed.

One by one, each human kids take turns when working and watching Domino 2 at the same time. Anne cringed, but smiled when she saw that Domino 2 brought her another 'gift.' This time in the form of a large pile of dead and mangled insects.

Frank was sharpening his knife when he heard the sound of laughing. Looking up, he saw Anne playing with Domino 2. Spinning around while holding her caterpillar. Frank's scowl turned into a smile. He hasn't seen Anne this happy in a long time, especially since coming to this world along with her friends.

The young boy understands how she was feeling. They were all far from home in a world of whimsicalness and savagery. Having Domino 2 with her was like having her cat, a piece of her home, with her. He shook his head and quickly got back to sharpening his weapon. Trying to ignore those thoughts. Anne was happy. That's all that mattered.

Meanwhile, Darrel, Tint, and Cronaxx were reaching the higher ground by climbing up trees. It's been a long day since they have ventured through the forest while training the human boy to become the wizard. It was pretty nice to have some fresh air more often.

As they climb up to the tree, Darrel spot and recognize that there were the same wasps that he and his friends have encountered. Darrel sat down on the branch, looking a little agitated. Both Tint and Cronaxx took noticed that Darrel was scared.

"What's wrong, Darrel?" Tint asked.

"It's those wasps out there. I had a bad experience with wasps when I was 9 years old. I got curious what their nest looked like up close and a couple wasps got near my ear. I got scared and one of them stung my arm." Darrel explain his life story.

"Do you know why those wasps did that?" Cronaxx smiles after he listen to him.

"Because they were mean?"

"It's because like you, they felt threatened. They defended their home, because like you they have family."

Darrel looks over where the wasps at and he realized what Cronaxx says it's true. They're working together as a cohesive unit. After pollinating giant flowers, harvesting nectar, and then they return to their nest providing the food they gathered to their newborn larvae.

"You're right, Cronaxx. I know that now." Darrel smiled at what they're doing.

"Magic exists in many forms that surround life itself. Magic is not a practice. It is a living, breathing web of energy that, with our permission, can encase our every action." Tint explains.

Then they heard something as they looked down and sees that a caterpillar that almost resemble to Domino, but with the color of orange on its fur as it scurried off and went hiding to the hole before the wasp reaches. Somehow, it got away safely.

"Looks like that one's hungry." said Tint.

"Why? It's just a caterpillar." Darrel asked.

"That is a Coastal Kill-A-Pillar. They are dangerous amphibivores. Sure they look cute, but wait until they change into monsters."

Darrel slowly dropped his smile as he grew his eyes wide open with shocked. He realize from the horrifying description when he and his friends put them all in danger. He jumped down the tree from branch to branch util reached to the ground level.

"Darrel! What's wrong?!" Tint cried.

"My friends are in trouble!" Darrel shouted back as he race back to the farm.

This concerns both Tint and Cronaxx as they looked each other. They knew him well, but doesn't even know what's going. So they climbed down and follows him back as well.

Back at the Plantars farm, Domino 2 was now playing with a small fly, bouncing it around. Anne and Sprig were watching her playing, but for Sasha when looks a bit concern about this caterpillar. Since she woke up this morning, she freaked out and disgusted that Domino 2 was a troublemaker.

"Whew! Hope there isn't a Domino 3." said Sprig.

"I'm telling you, this is a bad idea, Anne. I understand that you miss Domino. Heck, most of us missed her too, but enough is enough. We have to return her to the wild, now." Sasha urged her.

"But, Sash, Domino 2 was just getting comfortable." Anne argues before Domino 2 then ate the fly, walked in a circle, laid down, meowed, and wrapped a cocoon around its lower body before sleeping. "It's all worth it when you get to watch your adorable little boo take a nap."

"I gotta admit, she's pretty darn cute." Sprig admits it.

"Welcome, brother, to the church of cute." said Anne.

"This a cult thing?" Sprig asked, but then his stomach growled.

"Whoa. Looks like Domino 2 isn't the only thing purring. Come on. Let's go grab some grub." said Anne.

"I'm not eating those." Sasha declines, but her stomach growls too. "Oh, for crying out loud!"

"Ooh, I love grubs." Sprig grinned before he went upstairs with Sasha as Anne went over to Domino 2.

"Sleep tight, my precious baby angel." Anne smiles before she went upstairs as well, but when she left by the time the door closes, the head of Domino 2 was covered as well. Something is not right about this.

From the outside of the house, Frank and KJ were out in the field, feeling sweating from hard work as they picked carrots from the ground. His m65 jacket was hanging on a fence post, leaving him with his white t-shirt.

KJ grabbed another carrot by the leaves and grunted as he pulled as hard as he could, until the vegetable was pulled out of the ground. Panting from exhaustion, he threw the carrot over onto the wheel barrel he was using. It landed on the other carrots that were there.

"Thanks for helping out, KJ." said Frank, when whipped the sweat from his brow and turned his head to look at the setting sun.

"No problem. Working together is a lot faster back from home." replied KJ.

"Yeah, me too."

Just then, Hop Pop approached to the boys when he carried two apples in his both hands.

"Need little something for your troubles?" Hop Pop asked kindly.

Gratefully, they're taking the apple from him as they took a bite into it. They hadn't realized just how hungry they were and it is the same taste like from their world.

"Mmm! This apple looks good. Just like we had one from school." KJ smiles when munching.

"Thanks, Hop Pop." Frank thanked him.

"You're welcome. You boys worked really hard to get those places done." replied Hop Pop before he sat in between of the human boys.

As the three of them watching the sunset, but until when Frank noticed that there were flock of wasps coming in their direction.

"What's that?" KJ asked.

"Oh, those were some wasps." Hop Pop answered.

"Oh crap!" Frank exclaims.

He reached down and grabbed his scythe from the ground. Ready for a fight, but then the wasp just flew over them and went over to some giant flowers. Once there, they started pollinating and collecting the nectar from the flower.

"Frank, what's wrong?" KJ asked.

"Wait, what? Why didn't they attack us?" Frank looked confused.

"Boy, just because they're big and scary doesn't mean that they want to kill you. They're just animals, and sometimes animals have to fight when something threatens them or their family." Hop Pop explains with a voice of wisdom.

"Really?" KJ listens.

"That's right. Not all creatures were bad."

"Wow, just like we went to the zoo to see the animals."

Frank took Hop Pop's words to heart as he looked back at the wasps as they worked. He smiled at them and leaned against the wheel barrel.

"I guess you're right. Just like us." said Frank, but that got him thinking, and he turned his head towards the elder frog. "Hey, Hop Pop, if that's the case, why would a bunch of wasps attack a caterpillar."

"Well, that depends. Wasps wouldn't attack unless it were a Coastal Kill-A-Pillar. They're dangerous amphibivores that start off as cute and cuddly caterpillar before they turn into a vicious monster." Hop Pop put his hand under his chin.

"Wait, kill-a-pillar is like a caterpillar, right?" KJ rephrased his question.

"Right."

"And then it'll evolved into kill-a-moth? Like named after Batman's archnemesis?"

"That depends, but what is a batman?" Hop Pop asked.

"Not what. Who."

Frank stared at Hop Pop with a look of shock, but then terror started to settle in his chest. He and his friends found Domino 2 when the wasps were attacking her. Was she really in danger? Or were the wasps defending themselves from Domino 2?

"Uh, the caterpillars wouldn't happen to be black with white stripes on its back and a heart-shaped spot on the chest." Frank pulled the collar of his shirt and laughed nervously.

"No. They're just black." Hop Pop answered.

Frank sighed in relief.

"Those spots don't come in until they're about to transform into their killing form."

Frank gasped in horror. KJ looked a bit confused at first. Which didn't go noticed by Hop Pop, and he looked at the boy suspiciously.

"Wait, why do you ask?"

"Oh my God, ANNE!" Frank turned and bolted for the house with his scythe in hand.

They were all in danger because of him, Anne, Darrel, and Sprig. Hop Pop and KJ looked at each other with concern looks before they went to catchup with him.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Anne, Sasha, and Sprig were eating a heavy amount of food after a long day of working and keeping Domino 2 away from the rest of the family. Just then, the door swung open, and Frank rushed into the kitchen.

"Guys!" Frank yelled.

They stopped eating and got their full attention. Marcy set the book down since she's been reading to study about the living creatures until she heard the commotions. He ran to the table and looked at them with big eyes filled with fear.

"Where's Domino 2?!"

"Whoa! Frank, what's going on?" Sprig asked, confused as to why he was freaking out.

"Yeah, man. Why are you yelling?" Sasha asked as well after setting her food down.

"We've made a terrible mistake, and now we're all in danger!" Frank exclaimed, still in a state of panic.

"What the heck are you talking about?" Anne asked, a little worried after seeing the way Frank was acting scared.

Just then, Hop Pop and KJ entered when they see them all in the kitchen except Marcy that just got up from the couch as she approached to the two of them.

"Whoa, whoa there! Hungry much?" Hop Pop asked.

"We've been running around all day. We're starving." replied Sprig.

"Runnin' around? Doin' what?"

The two looked at each other before they swallowed their food. Frank and Sasha looked at them two as they felt so nervous.

"Oh, nothing." Anne lied.

"I mean, who's to say really?" Sprig added.

Before Frank could say anything, but then they heard the open when Darrel rushed to the kitchen.

"Guys!" Darrel yells.

"Darrel, what's going on?" Anne asked.

"Anne, we're in danger. We've gotta get out of here now!"

Suddenly, there was a loud banging that came from below the floor they were standing on. The force of the impact was strong enough to shake the house. Silencing all eight of them.

"What was that?" Hop Pop asked.

"I really hate to think what's down there." said Darrel.

"Mmm, basement ghost?" Anne lied with a shrug.

"Don't be ridiculous. Basement ghosts don't sound anything like that…" He paused at that moment

Hop Pop opens the door and went downstairs to the basement with the others following him before noticing a sort of cocoon that hatched. The reality of the situation sank in for Hop Pop. Now he knew why Frank asked about kill-a-pillars.

The basement had even more cobwebs with larger scratch marks on the floor and walls. Frank looked around for Domino 2, but he looked towards Anne's bed when he reached the bottom of the steps. He and everyone behind him gasped in shock.

"Oh no." said Darrel.

"We're too late." Frank turned in fear. "You don't think...?"

"Domino 2, where are you? Baby Precious!" Anne shouts.

"Anne, don't!" Frank rushed over and covered her mouth. "Domino 2's killapillar. A predator!"

"What are you talking about? Domino 2 isn't like that!" Anne pulled away from him and looked at Frank in disbelief. Hop Pop realize something right out of her mouth.

"Wait. Baby Precious? It sounds like a pet name! Did you kids sneak a pet in here?" He gives the kids with a stern expression.

"Wh-What? No! Nooooo, we wouldn't have done that!" Annie lied anxiously while Hop Pop gave her a 'are you sure you want to lie?' face.

"Okay, we did!" Sprig spills the beans

"What'd I tell you about pets?!" Hop Pop chided

"It was all Anne's idea!" Sasha accused when pointed her finger at her.

"Hey! Leave her out of this!" Frank snaps.

"Says you!"

"Uh, I'm sorry. It's just that the caterpillar looked just like Anne's pet from back home. It was small, cute. It was black with white spots and it-" Sprig explains, but Hop Pop cut off his words.

"Wait. A black caterpillar with white spots?" Hop Pop asked.

"It's worse than a pet Hop Pop. We snuck in a predator." said Darrel when Sprig was in a tight spot.

"YOU WHAT?!" Hop Pop exclaims.

"Wait, a predator?" Sprig puzzled.

"That's a Coastal Kill-a-pillar! They're dangerous amphibivores, and they only get white spots right before they're about to-"

His words cut of when there was a shriek. They were all startled as they looked around the room. Mostly Hop Pop was far more scared than any deadliest creature.

"What was that?" Hop Pop whispers.

"Wait a minute…" Marcy opens the book to find the page until she has found something. "According to this, kill-a-pillar is like a baby caterpillar until it reaches into adult like a kill-a-moth. Like cats, it may looked cute, but when they get older, it'll eat everything that moves."

"Really? How bad can they be?" Anne asked.

"Very bad, Anne." Hop Pop squinted his eyes.

When Anne last saw Domino 2, she was sleeping after wrapping her lower half in her webbing. But now, all that was left was an open cocoon that was made from webs. A green mist was rising from the blossomed opening. Frank walked towards the cocoon, and his eyes stung from the horrible smell. It made him cover his mouth and nose with his left arm.

"What the heck is that?" Sasha asked, freaked out by the sight of the cocoon.

"It's her, alright. Domino 2 must have transformed." Frank answered, looking back at the others.

Then suddenly, they hear something crawling on the ceiling. Sending a chill up their spines. They moved closer together in a group looking around the basement for any sign of Domino 2. Frank held the scythe with both hands, ready to defend himself against whatever the caterpillar turned into.

Sasha just yanked the axe out from the wood and armed herself for defenses. Marcy closes the book and holds it shakily. KJ stood behind Darrel as he uses his staff to defend his friends.

However, all eight of them backs were facing a dark, shadowy part of the basement. And from that corner of the basement opened a pair of glowing red eyes and a blood-curdling grin filled with rows of sharp pale-yellow teeth.

As sweat formed on his brow, Frank looked around until he felt something breathing down the back of his head. The moment he felt it, his eyes widened, and his pupils shrank. As the large creature swooped down, Frank turned around when the kill-a-pillar appeared in front of them. Now in its butterfly form.

The kill-a-piller's appearance took on the form of a cat-butterfly hybrid and had grown considerably in size, with the body and wings similar to that of a monarch butterfly and a white feline's head and legs.

The kill-a-pillar let out a screeching roar while bearing its claws, making the two frogs and humans scream in terror. However, as she looked at it, Anne suddenly realized who it was.

"Domino 2, is that you?" Anne asked, reaching with her hand before Hop Pop stopped her by shushing her.

"Shh. These monsters respond to sound. Let's back away slowly and quietly." Hop Pop whispers.

They're all backing away from the kill-a-pillar to escape the basement and trap Domino 2 down there until they could figure out how to get rid of her, but then…

"HEY, FAMILY! What's happening in here?!" shouted Polly when opens the door.

Domino 2 let out a screeching roar, prepared to attack. Polly screamed in terror as Frank rushed at Domino 2 and tried to attack her, but the killer butterfly flapped her wings and created a strong gust of wind that sent Frank crashing to the ground and then webbed him up like tied up.

"Frank!" Anne yells when she rushed over, but Sasha grabs her arm.

"Anne, stand back!" Sasha urged to get behind her as the charge with an axe.

But Domino 2 shoots its web and trapped Sasha as well when she fell to the ground thus dropping an axe. She tries to get up, but couldn't move when she growls.

"Sasha!" Marcy cried.

"Hop Pop, we're in danger. We've gotta get out of here now!" Darrel yells.

"Run, kids!" Hop Pop yelled as he rush upstairs to grab Polly with Sprig follows behind.

"I don't wanna die in a basement!" Sprig yells while Marcy grabbed KJ as they runs upstairs as well.

Darrel was about to leave, but he saw Anne approaching Domino 2 when trying to calm the beast down.

"Anne? What are you doing?!" Darrel yells.

"Domino 2? It's me, Anne." said Anne, when Domino 2 stopped flapping her wings and lowered down to the ground. "We bonded. I gave you treats. You gave me dead things. Don't you remember?"

She placed her hand on Domino 2's head. Frank and Darrel stared with amazement, thinking it had actually worked. Sasha was shocked that her best friend has managed to calm this thing down, but unfortunately Domino 2 was too hungry to resist instincts. She blows Anne and Darrel out of the way, knocking him into a pile of boxes.

"DARREL!" Anne shouted, then she sees Domino 2 crawling out from the basement. "Whoa! No, wait! Come back!"

The boxes pinned Darrel to the floor, and he could only watch as Anne ran up to save the others. Both Sasha and Frank were in deep shock that she runs up there.

"Anne! Don't do this!" Darrel cried.

"ANNE!" Frank shouts.

But Anne didn't hear them. When she reached the living room, she gasped and saw what was going on. Domino 2 was on her back and tossing the Plantars up and down. Both Marcy and KJ were both tied up by the web as they couldn't break free.

"Get outta here!" Hop Pop yells.

"Guys!" Anne cried.

"I would like to get off the ride now!" Polly screamed.

"Oh! She's gonna bite their heads off as soon as she's done toying with them." Anne looked frantic, but then she realized something. "Toying with them. Wait a second."

When she stops playing toy with her meal, she opens her mouth when its tongue now revealed to be covered with sharp thorns as the Plantars whimpered. Marcy let out her horrified gasp next to KJ that their friends were gonna get eaten, but until…

"Hey, Domino 2! Over here!" Anne yells out waving the mouse toy above her head.

When Domino 2 turned her head towards Anne, she started to attached to a toy instead. Marcy and KJ were shocked that she turns her attention to Anne much to their horror. As the the adult Kill-A-Pillar as it meowed before screeching as it rushed toward her.

"Oh, crud."

She turned and rushed out of the house with Domino 2 chasing after her.

"ANNE!" Marcy and KJ shouted out to her name.

Back in the basement, Frank and Sasha were trying to get up, but still trapped in a web. Darrel tried to free himself from the boxes, but he couldn't. The boxes were too heavy to push off his back. Darrel grunted in frustration, until he remembered what Tint told him about magic.

"Magic can encase our every action with our permission."

Darrel decided to try to perform magic to get the crates off him. He closes his eyes and then focuses his energy performing a levitation spell. The magic flows in his heart, creates an aura making the crates float up. Frank and Sasha just went awestruck that Darrel uses his magic. When he crawls out, takes his staff, and looks at them both tied up with a web.

"I'll get you out!" said Darrel.

"Don't worry about us! Help her!" Frank ushered him.

"Hurry!" Sasha added.

He nodded and ran upstairs until he sees the Plantars trying to cut the webs off Marcy and KJ by untying them. He felt relief for a moment, but now he has to save Anne as he rushes outside to chase after the kill-a-pillar.

Just then, Tint and Cronaxx has arrived by the time Darrel left and then rushed inside to see the Plantars untying Marcy and KJ until they're free.

"Thanks, guys." Marcy felt relief, but frowns a bit.

"Don't sweat it, kiddo." replied Hop Pop.

"Hop Pop, what happened?" Tint asked.

"A giant monster that almost ate us!" Polly exclaims.

"Giant monster?" Cronaxx repeated.

"It's a kill-a-pillar! Anne and I found her and snuck her in with Darrel and Frank's help." Sprig explains.

"You what?!"

"HEY! CAN SOMEONE CUT US FREE DOWN HERE?!" Sasha hollers from the basement.

Out in the wilderness, Anne runs faster as she can with Domino 2 pursuing her with a toy she's carrying. It's the only to save her friends from getting eaten. She looks back where Domino 2 is chasing until Anne stopped in her tracks. Just inches away from running off a cliff.

Then she turns around and sees Domino 2 growling as the kill-a-pillar takes her step closer to the Thai girl. Just then, by the time Darrel made it on time thanks to his acceleration spell, he stops in his track and sees Anne trapped as Domino 2 closing in on her. He looked deep shocked that his best friend was in trouble.

"ANNE! NO!" Darrel cried.

Then suddenly, the staff glows into green as the boy rushes in to stand in front of her to protect her from the kill-a-pillar taking one step close.

"Leave her alone!"

Domino 2 stares at the staff that glows, then suddenly stop growling, and then she sits down. Anne and Darrel watches in awe as he uses magic to stall the kill-a-pillar. He didn't knew that he could do that to tame this creature. He sighed with relief before he turn his head at Anne.

"Darrel, I'm so sorry," said Anne, looking down at the ground with a guilty expression. "This is all my fault. I thought I could change her. Making her be like Domino. But I guess I was wrong."

Domino 2 titled her head when puzzled. Darrel laid his hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

"It's okay, Anne. I know you miss your cat, but it's time to let her go." said Darrel.

Anne looked down at the toy mouse, and her mind started flashing back to all the good time they had with Domino 2. But her friends were right, and this thing wasn't her cat. She was going to see her cat again. But not today. She closed her eyes before looking at Domino 2.

"It's time to go!"

Anne threw the toy off the cliff, and Domino 2 two jumped into the air. Going over the kids as it flap its wings and caught the mouse toy before flying away into the woods. Once his staff stops glowing, Darrel walks up to Anne's side and then they fall on their knees.

"Sayonara, Domino 2." Anne whispers.

"I'm sorry, Anne. For what it's worth, I miss your cat too." said Darrel, softly.

With tears in her eyes, Anne threw her arms around Darrel into a huge hug and let out a small sob into his shoulder. He accepted the embrace and hugging her very gently. Whispering to her that it would be okay, as the kill-a-pillar was released into the wild like all living creatures.

Back at the Plantars house, the human kids were freed from the cobweb and then helping Sprig and Polly to clean up this mess. Sasha was in a grumpy mood since they have snuck this creature inside felt that she's being lectured by Hop Pop again.

"And look who's cleaning up after the pet! Hop Pop, that's who!" Hop Pop ranted as he paced back and forth in front of Sprig and Polly.

"Technically it's a predator, not a pet." Frank commented.

"Whatever!"

"Hey, laid off, old man!" Sasha snaps back.

"You watch yourself, young lady! Do you not see how upset I was?!"

"It's not my fault that Anne snuck that caterpillar here." She rolled her eyes.

Tint and Cronaxx were sitting on the couch, watching them all cleaning up around the house, but they felt so worried that Darrel was out there. Frank was worried about Anne too. At that moment, Anne and Darrel came walking back into the house.

"Hey, guys." said Anne, in a melodic depressed voice.

They stop cleaning and sees Anne and Darrel were home safely.

"Guys!" Marcy gasped when smiles.

"Anne, Darrel, you two are okay!" Sprig cheerfully exclaimed.

"Thank goodness." Frank felt relief.

"Tell me that thing is gone!" Polly pointed her little flipper at them.

"Yeah, it's gone. She went back to wilderness." Darrel answered just as Frank approached to him.

"Thanks for looking out for her." said Frank, giving him a small smile.

"No problem. That's what friends do."

"(sighs) I'm so sorry, you guys. I had no right to put you all in danger, no matter how much I miss my cat. I hope you understand." Anne apologize to her friends.

Frank placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled softly. Showing her that he understood. Darrel, Marcy, KJ, and their amphibian friends shared this same smile, while Sasha and Polly looked blankly at them. However, Hop Pop looked ready to tear her a new one.

"Understand?" Hop Pop asked, walking towards the two humans, before throwing his head up. "Understand?!"

Anne looked a little nervous. But then Hop Pop looked at them with big eyes filled with bottled up tears.

"I miss Charlie Big Bottom with all my heart and soul!" Hop Pop started crying a river of tears before walking over to Darrel and hugging him so tight.

She looked at her friends with a look that asked what she should do.

"Just let it happen." said Frank, patting Hop Pop's head as the old frog continued crying his heart out. "I think he needs this."

"Uh, can we please fix the GIANT HOLE IN THE HOUSE?! THIS THE SECOND TIME!" Polly complains.

The very next day, Anne was sweeping the cobwebs off the walls and then the floors. With her friends help, the whole basement was almost clean. Sprig, Darrel, and Frank came down into the basement while holding something behind his back. He found Anne still sweeping up what was left of the cobweb from the walls and floors.

"Hey Anne?" said Frank, wearing his m65 jacket again.

She turns her head at them as they shared their small smile at her.

"Everything okay?"

"(sighs) Well, just goes to show ya. You can't take some wild animal you found in the woods, have it live in your basement, and think everything's gonna be okay." said Anne, taking advice from her friends.

"Maybe you're right. But then again, the Plantars took us in." replied Frank.

"And I came all the way to find you guys. Even though, we look out for each other. What do you think, Sprig?" Darrel asked.

"I don't know. Sometimes it works out." replied Sprig.

"Ohhh! You're talking about me, right?" Anne guessed.

"Maybe. Oh, Anne? I know how much this little guy means a lot to you, so I wanted you to have something to remember her. Sprig helped me collect Domino 2's hairballs to make the fur." Darrel shows Anne a stuffed replica of Domino 2 with buttons for eyes, made out of fur.

When Anne didn't show any reaction to the stuffed animal, Darrel started to doubt himself before looking at Frank and Sprig as they felt a bit nervous if she doesn't like it.

"You hate it, don't ya? It's too ugly, isn't it? You know what, give it back to me-"

"I LOVE IT!" Anne cried, when hugging her new stuffed animal.

The boys felt relief that she was happy again. Now, they have learned their lessons that taking a wild animal is very strict and too risky to look after. Later on, Darrel walks over to the barn where Tint and Cronaxx were waiting for him while Bessie was resting.

"So, how'd it go?" Tint asked.

"We gave her a stuffed animal and she loves it." Darrel answers.

"I'm very impressed. Your desire to save your friend, helped unlock your abilities to tame that mighty beast." Cronaxx looked impressed.

"I guess in a way, my heart asked the magic for help." Darrel shrugged.

"We should keep practicing that focus, so you can perform magic whenever you want." said Tint.

"That's not such a bad idea. Let's go."

Both Darrel and Tint rushed out from the barn and went to an open field to have more practice. Cronaxx was staring at them smiling that the boys are so eager to learn magic. It takes time to learn and have patience when they're ready.

And that's a wrap, folks! If anyone ask why I spare Domino 2? I'll tell you the reason is because she will have her own kittens, but that doesn't mean that some were cool with it. In the future, I will presenting the giant beetle very soon until then. Hope you enjoyed reading and stay tuned for the next chapter!
