So now we have Marinette's birthday which will include some Adrinette (Or I suppose Aaronette, lol) But still fulfilling, I hope. Also, I love the movie in here so if you guess it you get 10 billion points!=^-^=
Ch. 10 - Count Chat
"Dude, you're hilarious." Nino laughed while hitting the table top. Today was Marinette's birthday, and Alya had planned a full girl's only day including a few of the other girls. That left Nino and Aaron to have a little hang time together. They'd just finished lunch at a small café; nothing fancy.
"Come off it, Nino, it was the most awkward thing ever."
"I can picture it, dude." He agreed and wiped a tear. "But you honestly got off lucky."
"How was any of that lucky?" Adrien nearly growled in question. Nino was the reason he was even watching a video about periods.
"Considering Alya didn't glare at you or anything when the girls picked up Marinette, she obviously isn't upset. Girls tell each other everything stupid that guys do." He explained while taking a drink of his soda.
"I never thought she was upset, Nino, it's just awkward. She's barely said a word to me all day."
"It'll wear off, dude. You got this. Then you can take your time figuring out the dates for yourself."
Adrien let out a sigh. "I already know what her days are."
Nino stared at him a long moment. "Dude… Tell me you didn't just straight up ask her? That's like, near the top of the list of things you don't ask girls." He emphasized with a pointed expression.
"No I didn't ask. She just told me… After I explained why I was watching the video last night."
Nino raised a brow and looked a little impressed. "Wow, you lucky dog. Of all the ways that could have gone so bad, but you came out on top. Well, it's probably because you're always so innocent." He mused with a teasing tone. "Learning to live as the common folk will do that."
Adrien rolled his eyes. "Geez, were you always this terrible?"
"Well, we've never had conversations about girls, so yeah." He shot back with a smirk. "I'm really glad you broke that leash, dude. The very fact we're having conversations like these only prove that house was not a good learning environment for you. Imagine if your dad had actually married you off? That would have been such an awkward wedding night."
The ravenette blushed. "God, Nino, I'm not that sheltered."
"You're not?" Nino mocked with false surprise.
"No, so shut it. I just… never learned a whole lot about girls in my home school classes. My father more than likely didn't see it as relevant."
"A total crime, dude." Nino shook his head, and for the first time since the topic was broached, he looked serious.
"You tell him."
"No way, I'm not crazy." The DJ defended and let out his hand. "Also, because I'm a nice friend, I'll give you a little something. Hand over your wallet."
"What for?" Though he was already pulling it out.
"Just gonna put a present inside." He took the leather container and lowered it under the table for a minute. "Okay, you're all set." He handed it back.
"With what? What did you put in… God, you really are terrible." Adrien groaned at seeing the two foil packets behind his bills.
"You won't be saying that when they come in handy." He countered with a wink. "And I promise you, if her dad ever found out you didn't have any, he'd probably be a little angry."
Now that was something the ex-model didn't think was right. "I'd think me having these would make him madder."
"No, dude, think about it. Having them when you're obviously interested in his daughter shows you're thinking about her protection and future. It shows you're a gentleman."
Adrien narrowed his eyes. "Somehow… That doesn't sound quite right."
"Dude, just keep them on you. It's a requirement for any healthy guy to have at least one in his wallet at all times. You could go through any guy's wallet in this café and find one, I promise."
"I'll just take your word for it." Adrien relented just wanting the topic to die already.
"Come on, Mari, we've only been here an hour. What's wrong?" Alya asked over the loud club music. Their girl's day hit up shopping, nails, hair and was supposed to end after a few hours at the Club Castle where Nino worked but wasn't on the schedule that night.
"Sorry, Alya, just… Cramps." She muttered and held her stomach with a wince.
Alya had noticed a few times that day that she looked a little off, but thought maybe it was that awkwardness she felt back when she picked her up. "Did you say cramps?" She asked now right next to her so others wouldn't over hear.
"Yes… And they're pretty bad today."
"Damn, girl, why didn't you say anything?"
She blushed and leaned on the bar. "I wasn't sure at first. Its early."
Alya pat her back and pointed to the other girls on the dance floor. "Well, I don't want you out here if you're not feeling well. I'll just let the others know I'm taking you home."
"It's okay, Alya, I'll-"
"It's your birthday, Marinette. I'm not going to stand by and watch you be miserable." The journalist assured with a proud smile. "Not when you got a cute guy who could be taking care of you at home."
"Alya…" She groaned back.
"Be right back." Marinette loved her best friend, really she did. She was so considerate even though she still didn't like Lila, and so she avoided bringing up the girl whenever possible. She never forced her to interact or tried to get them to get along anymore. She was also always there when she needed someone to talk to, outside Ladybug stuff. The thing she could go without, however, was her not so subtle attempts to get her with guys. After a few goodbyes from the rest of her friends she let Alya take her out and called a taxi so Marinette wouldn't have to walk. "So, anything new with Aaron?" Alya asked bluntly once they started moving.
"God, Alya, subtle much?"
"I'm not your bff because I'm subtle, Mari. How are things? Anymore make outs?" She asked with air quotes.
Marinette let out a sigh and resigned herself to spill. "No… not really."
"So… Nothing? Not even hand holding?" It would be absolutely ridiculous at this point!
"Well… He does like to take my hand, and we do sit together sometimes and watch TV. I've… Let him sleep in my lap too." She admitted with a darker blush.
"Good, at least there's that, but honestly I was expecting you to have kissed again." She let out with a sigh, but her friend wasn't exactly that kind of girl anyway so she accepted it.
"Actually… we almost kissed. It was after I took him to meet Jagged Stone. We were walking home and he… Tried to kiss me. We were interrupted though, and honestly doing that sort of thing in public is just…" She turned away and looked out the window.
"I'm happy for you, Marinette." The designer turned back at the surprising answer. "I really am. You're crush on Adrien… Well, everyone knows I'm not exactly happy with the blond sunshine boy, but you don't deserve to be mixed up in his complicated life. Aaron is nice, helpful, not to mention hot." She emphasized with a brow waggle. "And he's got a simple life."
"I wouldn't say simple…" Mari countered while trailing off. She certainly didn't want to go into the particulars of Aaron's mysterious home life before leaving out on his own.
"Simple enough then. He works hard, and obviously cares about you, Mari. Just let me know if he ever does anything to hurt you and I'll make sure no one ever finds his body."
Marinette giggled at the pseudo threat. "Okay, I'll keep you posted."
"Good." The taxi arrived a few minutes later and Alya escorted her friend upstairs. "Now, Mari, go get on something more comfortable and just relax, alright?" She instructed to her friend with a hug. "And, Happy Birthday, girl."
"Thanks, Alya. You're the best."
"The absolute." The other woman agreed with a smirk. "Now go on. I'm gonna use your bathroom."
"Sure, good night." She waved and headed upstairs. Alya waited for her to be gone before looking around.
Aaron was just walking up as Marinette got into her room. "Hey… Where's Marinette?"
"I sent her up to get into something more comfortable." Alya explained and waved him to come closer. "And take care of her okay, Aaron. She's having some pretty bad cramps, understand?" She insinuated and Aaron nodded with a slight blush. "Good, I'll leave her to you." She pat him on the shoulder and turned to leave. "Don't get too crazy, kids."
Aaron merely rolled his eyes once she was gone. He was quickly learning that was just how Alya was, and is probably where Nino was getting it. "Okay, cramps… Her period." Though it was earlier than her calendar predicted. Then again, the video he watched mentioned it not being exact. "Okay so, ibuprofen and she likes hot chocolate, but it might be a little warm for that…" He went to the kitchen to grab the pills. "Maybe I should just try and grab her something sweet tomorrow? She might not be hungry anymore tonight." If he'd known she would be home before 11, he would've had a cake or something ready for her. At least a little something to celebrate. It was 9:30 and he was short on anything like that. All he really had at this point was cheese and he really doubted that was romantic or sweet. "Or… If she's cramping then she might be sore and I can offer a massage." He brightened at the idea. "Perfect." He grabbed a glass of water for the pills and headed to her room. "Marinette?" He knocked.
"Just a minute." He waited and she lifted the door. "Yes?" She was in her pjs and had her hair down.
"Oh I… I brought you some medicine? Alya mentioned you were um… Cramping." He whispered despite them being the only ones around.
Marinette blushed and nodded while looking away. "She did huh? Um… Thank you." She stepped down a few stairs and took his offered pills and the water too.
"So… I was about to start this movie, did you maybe want to join me? I mean, unless you're tired. I know you had a long day."
"Well, I'm not exactly tired, just a little… sore." She admitted and handed him back the glass.
"Then I could give you a massage? Just tell me where it hurts." He declared with a proud grin that fell at her flustered expression. "Marinette?"
"Just… Take a moment to think about what you said." She instructed with a shy side glance.
"What I just… Uh… Oh, OH! I uh, I didn't mean it like that, Marinette."
She giggled at his flustered reaction and nodded. "I know, I just wanted you to realize it. Anyway, maybe a shoulder rub? All those late nights bent over fabric can add up."
"Sure, of course. I'll just be waiting on the couch when you're ready."
She nodded and gestured back to her room. "I'll just grab my phone and be back down in a sec." Aaron nodded and headed back.
"You can do it, Marinette." Tikki whispered in a cheer and flew her phone to her.
"I'm worried about what exactly you mean, Tikki." She responded with a half smile.
"Just follow your instincts." She assured back but that advice didn't exactly help.
"Come on, Sugar Cube. You can do better than that." Plagg jabbed once the designer shut the door.
"You have to have a gentle touch when it comes to love, Plagg."
"Boring you mean."
She giggled at her other half and flew over to pat his head. "Trust me, Plagg, I'm usually right, aren't I?"
He couldn't say no, so he rubbed up to her hand. "I certainly don't plan to do anything, so it's all you."
"Yup, but don't worry. I think we don't have much longer to wait." She then scratched behind his ear and earned a purr.
The movie choice was a little surprising once Marinette saw it, but it wasn't bad. And the shoulder rub Aaron was currently giving out made her less critical of it anyway. "I've never seen this, please tell me he doesn't die in it." Aaron inquired as he watched Edmond get whipped in the prison.
"No he doesn't, he actually-"
"No spoilers." The man insisted despite just having asked. "I just wanted to make sure he didn't die." Aaron adjusted his thumbs to trail her spine.
"You really never watched this before?" She asked curiously with her eyes only half open.
"No. I mean, I've seen little bits, but never got around to seeing it altogether." He heard her groan when he rubbed over her shoulder blades.
"Oh wow, right there was great."
"Here?" He asked going back over the spot.
"Yessssss." She sighed in satisfaction. "And then go straight down my back like that, please." Aaron did as she asked as best he could while being mindful not to go too far. "Damn…" She cursed after he went around her back a few more times. "You're really good that this."
"Am I?" He chuckled. "I'm purr-leased you think so." He heard her groan but not from his massage this time.
"You and my dad, I swear…"
About 30 minutes later had Marinette lying across the couch with her feet in Aaron's lap so he could rub them. "I still can't believe they never checked that body bag." He criticized and adjusted her leg.
"It's a plot, Aaron, I mean he's declaring himself a count now, so roll with it."
"Meh, that part is easier to believe." He countered back and rolled his thumbs over her heel.
"Why's that?" She asked curiously while continuing to watch. "He doesn't have any land to govern."
"He's rich, though. When it comes to rich people, all you need to do is show them you're as rich as they are, and they don't question if you're one of them. Sure, there are those snobs who think about blood and breeding, but money can fix that too if you have enough. It's a little sad really."
Marinette turned to him curiously. He sounded like he spoke from experience somehow. "You're not going to suddenly turn out to be some run away noble are you?"
Aaron scoffed. "I left my house and my dad had money, but I'm not some noble with a title to inherit."
She watched him a moment. "Okay, but he had to have some serious money to afford you Gabriel designer boxer briefs." She teased remembering her surprise when she saw his laundry for the first time.
"Sometimes you can't put a price on comfort." He defended back trying to keep that growing irritation he'd been feeling all day in his generic ones. If he wasn't over it by morning, there was definitely going to be a change.
It was late when the movie finished and Marinette yawned and stretched. "That's always a nice movie."
"I'm happy it ended well. I was worried they were going to kill each other or something." Aaron yawned as well.
"Nope, it's a revenge/romance story centered on what justice means to a man who can take it."
"Like how he bought the prison at the end? I don't know, I mean it's not like they won't have other prisons to send criminals to."
Marinette rolled her eyes and sat up. "That wasn't the point, Aaron, and I'm not going to explain it at this point. I'm tired."
"Alright." He playfully relented and released her captive legs. "I know you had a long day."
"Yeah of a million things Alya and the girls brought me too. Maybe next time I suggest a spa day instead?" It would certainly be more relaxing.
Aaron trailed behind her as she walked to her room. "Marinette." He called grabbing her hand before she got to the bottom step.
"Hmm?"
"Thanks for watching the movie with me. I enjoyed it." He tugged her arm slightly.
"O-of course…." The way he was looking at her made her stomach flutter. Was he… going to kiss her?
He reached up to her chin. "I really enjoyed watching it with you, though." He emphasized and started to lean down.
"Oh… I uh…" She snapped her eyes shut seconds before his lips made contact. It was nerve wracking but welcome. He made her knees grow shaky and she wrapped her free hand over his shoulder for support.
"Happy Birthday, Mari." He congratulated once he released her lips and leaned his forehead on hers. "And goodnight." He loosened his arms from around her and she stumbled back slightly. "Careful."
"R-right… I'll just… Good night." She returned and started back up to her room while half her mind slowly drowned in a pink haze.
When the morning came Adrien knew he'd waited too long. One trip to the bathroom showed a rash had started in a place he didn't want anyone to know about. He dug his good underwear out of his drawers and threw away the generic monster that caused his current discomfort. "I know Marinette meant well when she suggested those, but I cannot do it." He looked at the torn package in his drawer as well and contemplated just tossing it. "No… It would still be a waste." He could keep them for emergencies or something. He then moved to check his wallet. He still had a fair amount saved up for the moment, but he still had to make it through the month too. Could he afford to go and buy more designer underwear? Even he knew designer anything was expensive. "Man, if I knew this was going to be an issue, I would have packed more."
"What? Getting the itchies, kid?" Plagg chuckled. "Don't tell me that's enough to make you wanna go home."
Adrien rolled his eyes at his kwami. "No, Plagg… But it's not a bad idea." He suddenly realized.
"Huh? I was just kidding. Don't go back to that jack-"
"Plagg, I'm not going back to stay." He corrected. "But you know my father. It's unlikely he's given up finding me. I bet he's left my room alone, or at least the clothes. I could sneak back in and get some underwear, maybe a shirt or two, and be out in a flash. Maybe a couple of things more?" Though it would be suspicious if he suddenly had more stuff out of nowhere, and he wouldn't want Tom and Sabine to worry he took the risk. It was still pretty early. Marinette would probably sleep at least a couple more hours, so if he wanted to do it today, he would need to leave right now. "Okay, Plagg, let's go hit up the old ice palace."
Plagg rolled his eyes knowing he couldn't talk him out of it. "All this for underwear… Humans…" He sighed in exasperation.
Nathalie sat at her desk quietly enjoying the peaceful morning for as long as it was to last. Gabriel's warpath ended a few weeks ago, but he was still extremely easy to irritate. To say he berates at least one employee out of his office on the daily would be an understatement. Based on his schedule for the day, she should have at least an hour more before having to unruffle any feathers. After checking through to confirm meetings for the day, she decided to go upstairs to Adrien's room. It wasn't as though she had to anymore, but it was part of her daily routine. There may have also been the smallest hope that Adrien would suddenly return, though she knew he'd be crazy to do so. If he was as smart as she knew he was, he would stay far away. "See, just like I thought."
She froze outside his door. "No…" She quickly checked down the hall and back where she came. No one else was around to be sure. "So…" She placed an ear on his door.
"Ha, fully stocked. Gabriel Agreste might be a terrible father, but he does know clothes. I'll give him that."
Nathalie's eyes widened. "That sounded like…" She quickly burst into the room and shut the door behind. "Adrien?" She called without shouting. The last thing she wanted would be to be picked up on the surveillance audio. A quick look around the room made it seem empty, but one thing stood out. The closet was open. "Adrien?" She heard a muffled clatter. "Are you… In the closet?" She made her approach slowly. She definitely heard Adrien's voice, but if somehow she was mistaken then she wanted to stay on her toes.
"Don't come any closer." He demanded once she covered the entrance to the closet.
"Adrien?" She asked again in a quieter tone.
"What?"
She focused her eyes and saw a silhouette inside. "It is you? Right?"
"… Yeah, what?"
"Y-you… Came home?"
There was a short silence before she heard him mutter under his breath. "Fuck…"
"Adrien."
"It's not to stay." He quickly corrected and she saw him step a little closer. "So go ahead and get that out of your head. As long as Gabriel still acts like….Gabriel, then I won't be back at all."
"Then… Why come back now?" She asked curiously. To be honest, she was hoping he'd figured something out for himself so he could stay far away. She knew this home environment was safe, but that was all. As long as Gabriel was deciding everything, Adrien wasn't going to be happy no matter how safe he was. The last few weeks had made that apparent.
"I… forgot something…"
That didn't sound quite right. He'd made it clear that he only took essentials before, so what did he leave behind? "What did you forget?"
"Nathalie."
"Yes?" He sounded… unsure now.
"Why haven't you run off to tell my father I'm here?"
Oh… "If I did so, you'd most likely be gone by the time I return." He scoffed. "And," She began again. "I honestly don't think it would be in your best interest to return."
He chuckled but it didn't sound like amusement in his tone. "Good, you won't be disappointed." He appeared to be stuffing something from one of his drawers into a bag.
"Is that… Underwear?" Though she wasn't sure.
"It's spare clothes!" He corrected while grateful the darkness of the closet made his embarrassment hard to see.
"Okay…" She started to step back. He was obviously irritated, and despite not seeing a lot of the younger Agreste's anger, she knew it could get much like his father's. If she decided to corner him, she wasn't sure she'd be able to restrain him without hurting him, and she never wanted that.
"Nathalie!" Both of them turned to the shout and she reflexively started back over to the door. When she turned back Adrien was at the window. She could see more of him though the black hoodie he wore still made it hard. He glanced back slightly before hopping right out the window like wasn't a whole story off the ground. It was strange… She couldn't really see his face very well, like his hair was held back. None of the golden locks that once framed his face were visible. Was he wearing a hat under the hood? "Nathalie!? Why are you not at your desk!? I need my meeting schedule!"
She looked back at the door and let out a sigh. Looks like she was the one to put him in a bad mood today. She took one more glance back at the window before opening the room door. "At least he seemed fine…" A tiny solace, but how else would she rationalize betraying Gabriel and not telling him?
Adrien walked back into the apartment with a sigh. It was good that he got the clothes he wanted, but running into Nathalie was a definite downer. Sure, it was better than running into his dad, but… The way she looked? He could tell she was stressed out. No doubt his father was causing most of it. That being said, at least she wasn't gung ho about getting him to come home. It was probably because, like she said, if she had gone to tell he would have definitely left first. "Hey, kid, why aren't you happy? You got what you wanted, right?" Plagg asked.
"Yeah, I did…"
"And that Nathalie lady obviously understood why you left so you shouldn't feel bad about it."
"Sure, but she has to still put up with my dad."
"It's her job to though. If she wants to, couldn't she just find another job?"
"True…" He nodded before a door opening had Plagg dashing away.
"Aaron? Good Morning." Marinette beamed as she left the bathroom. "Were you talking on the phone just now?"
The ravenette internally panicked once he realized she overheard at least some of the conversation. "Um… Yeah, I was… I uh… Just an old friend." He covered rather poorly though Marinette chose not to pry.
"Okay… Um… Did you still want to make macarons today?"
"Definitely." He eagerly confirmed.
"Good, I'll get everything ready, and we'll begin at 11?"
"Sounds good to me, Mari. I'm looking forward to it."
While his odd behavior was a little worrying, she knew prying wasn't always smart from experience. He obviously went out to pick something up, and it could have been from the friend he was talking too. "Do you think something was bothering him?" Tikki asked once they got down to the bakery kitchen.
"Probably, but he didn't look too upset, and I'm sure he'll mention it if it's a problem, right?"
Tikki shrugged since she didn't want to share her full insight. "Probably." And she could just ask Plagg when they started baking.
Chat Noir arrived early for patrol with his mind off in his thoughts. His morning had started off on a pretty bad note what with the rash and running into Nathalie while sneaking back to his room. Then as he got himself ready to learn how to make macrons with Marinette a trip to the bathroom resulted in tearing his own pants; the rash's fault! That in turn led to a very embarrassing request to Marinette who was thankfully very controlled about sewing back the seat of the pants.
Once that was out of the way and they went down to the bakery to start the macrons, he made every mistake possible from spilling in too much granulated sugar to not asking if the egg whites were beat enough before simply mixing the almonds into the egg white batter. Marinette told him they were tricky to make, but the mistakes he made were so bad! And honestly, he normally asked Marinette what to do every step of the way so why not this time? It was possible he was still mortified about falling over his own pants in the bathroom, but still. All his progress so far in the bakery felt like it was miles away and he was back at square one.
Ladybug watched her partner from a higher beam of the tower curiously. She would normally call out to him, but it was obvious that he was brooding over something, and it felt… A little wrong to just pop in. "Gah! She'll never show me how to make those Macarons now…" He let out a sigh and slumped back. When he looked up to the moon he finally saw his partner and nearly slid off the beam he sat on. "Whoa!? Milady?"
She giggled at his surprise. "Sorry, Chaton. I wasn't trying to sneak up on you, honest. You just looked deep in thought." She hopped down to stand beside him. "You want to talk about it?" She slid down to sit beside him. "I think you said something about macarons? Are you learning to bake?"
Chat Noir blushed and looked away. Having Ladybug hear him was only slightly less embarrassing than Marinette herself. "Y-yeah… Sort of… T-that girl I mentioned before was showing me."
Ladybug chuckled thinking back to how Aaron struggled earlier that day, though she knew he was distracted before. "Oh? How'd you do? Macarons can be really tricky to make."
Chat Noir let out another sigh. "Let's just say I made every mistake you could ever make."
"Really? I'm sure it wasn't that bad." She waved his distress away. "I've seen some bad macaron attempts." Aaron just mixed everything together out of nowhere leaving her speechless. It ended in amusement though as she assured him it was fine in the end, and they could try again.
"So you know how to make Macarons, Ladybug?"
She nodded. "Yup, you know how Plagg uses special cheese to power up? Well Tikki has special macarons I make for her."
"Oh…" He didn't seem convinced anyone could have been worse than him.
"Honestly, Chat, macarons really are tricky. Even making them on a rainy day can ruin them." At her bakery, her maman arranges for macaron orders to be filled ahead of time if there is any chance of rain the day of.
"Yeah… She said that too." He let out a sigh. "And now I honestly think she sees me as a screw up." He hugged his legs.
"I doubt that. You remember that survey Alya did on her blog last year right? She had a vote to determine how the city saw each of the heroes individually."
"Yeah, and 43% of Paris sees me as a clown that scrapes by on your work." He recalled looking away with shame.
"But, that's what people who don't really know you think, Chaton. I'm your partner, and I know you may be a total goofball, but you work hard. I couldn't have saved Paris so many times without you, you know? You may get by with my help, but I get by with yours too. We're a team you know?"
Chat's ears twitched a bit before he turned to her. "Right, milady…" His smile was a little forced. "Partners."
"The best, right?" She asked more encouragingly with her fist up.
"Yeah." He returned it with more of a smile and released his legs to dangle from the beam.
"Good, and here's a tip. Next time you get a chance try showing her something else she's shown you how to do. You can prove you were listening before and the whole macaron thing was a fluke."
He appeared to think on it a moment before nodding. "Yeah, Ladybug, that sounds like a good idea. She's shown me how to do plenty already."
"There you go, Chat. Also…" She started as she recalled something else she'd been meaning to do. "Um… I'm going to give it another week or so, but… Considering how quiet Hawkmoth has been, maybe we could…" She found it hard to broach after how adamant she'd been.
"Hold up… Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" Chat inferred with wide eyes. "Revealing our identities?"
She nodded. "I just… Tikki thinks it's time, and we're not kids anymore, you know?"
"Of course! I can't wait…" His voice cut out at the end as a thought hit him. If he knew who Ladybug was, what about Marinette?
"Chaton?"
"Oh uh…. Nothing, I was just thinking about how time flies. Maybe we should get patrolling?" He stood up and stretched before pulling out his baton to start. There was a twist in his chest just thinking about letting Marinette go in favor of Ladybug. He'd spent so many years in love with his partner, so why did it suddenly feel so bad when he was so close to knowing her for real? It was almost like… He liked Marinette more? "Gah! Why is this so confusing now?" He groaned after a few buildings. Ladybug watched him curiously as she swung nearby. She thought for sure he'd be over the moon but his response was… Underwhelming? Maybe just a little flat? It was a little worrying, but she'd let it go. Chat Noir had been in a funk earlier so maybe that affected it?
So a reveal is on the horizon! Will it spark the romance for real or flop hard core? Read to find out! Also, I'm sorry about tormenting Adrien but I just love having him learn commoner stuff the hard way, and the bathroom fumble was just me adding to his list of misfortune to the day. I'll make it up to him I promise.=^-^=
