I'm really surprised how quickly some of y'all noticed the details especially since I was being as subtle as physically possible given what I had planned. Anyway, I'm frozen inside due to freezing rain so I figured I'd post this since I wasn't sure if I would be able to tomorrow. Please enjoy!=^-^=

Ch. 24 - Chat In The Oven

"Marinette, we are not arguing about this. You will go to the clinic right now if I have to drag you there myself!"

"Aaron, I'm fine! I promise to go right after work, but not until then!"

"Yes, you are!"

"Don't you touch me- Eek!" A few seconds later the door to the lounge opened up and Aaron stormed out with Marinette bent over his shoulder.

"Stephen?" He called to the designer who was waiting nearby and obviously trying to look like he wasn't eavesdropping.

"Y-yes?"

"I'm taking my wife to a clinic. She probably won't be back in today. That won't be a problem will it? I mean she-"

"No, go ahead. I understand completely." The older man cut in with a smile while gesturing the couple forward. "Marinette still has plenty of leave, and our next deadline isn't until next week. I'll talk to Mr. Agreste if it causes a problem." He assured and Aaron nodded with a smile. The man was always good and reliable, and Adrien was glad that hadn't changed now that his wife was working under him. Stephen waved as they left and watched as Marinette struggled fruitlessly from her husband's shoulder. It was a sure thing that Adrien would be in the dog house for this, but he was too worried after hearing Marinette had fainted. Cyrano was in a panic when he ran back into the studio room. Stephen had only been back for around two minutes before the junior designer dashed in yelling about Marinette fainting and how Nathalie had her moved to the lounge to lay down. After placing a call to Aaron, they decided against calling an ambulance as the baker assured them he would be right over. It took less than 20 minutes which meant Adrien had basically dropped everything to get here as soon as possible and even had dustings of flour on his arms and pants.

As the couple hit the parking lot Aaron noticed an odd look coming from a security guard while Marinette leaned on her elbow still stuck on her husband's shoulder. "Are you going to let me walk at all?"

"Not if you're going to run right back to work, Mari. We are going to the clinic, and that's the final word." Marinette sighed and gave the security guard who was watching them a tired smile and a slight wave as if there was nothing wrong. When they arrived at the delivery truck Aaron had taken to pick up his wife, he finally let her down, buckled her up and shut her door as if she were a small child.

"I know you're doing this because you care, but you will pay for this later."

"I'd rather pay for it if it means you're safe, bugaboo." He flashed her a Chat Noir smile and started the truck. Though they hadn't had much cause to transform lately, he would always be Chat Noir, especially his protective side.

After arriving at the closest clinic they had to wait about an hour before Marinette could be seen since there were half a dozen patients in front of them. When they finally got called back Marinette was completely resigned to cooperate with the exam so that Aaron would leave her alone about fainting. "So, Mrs. Bassett, have you ever fainted before?"

"Not that I'm aware of, or at least not recently enough to remember."

The doctor glanced to Aaron who was sitting in a chair beside the exam table and he nodded. "Alright, your paperwork shows you're not taking any medication? Are you taking birth control?"

Marinette nodded. "Yes… Did that cause it?"

"It can, but only in very rare cases. Everyone's body is different." She responded to her patient while looking through the information provided.

"I think she's overworking herself, but fainting seems a little extreme." Aaron commented in evident worry.

"Yes, it would be. You must have a very demanding profession."

"I work at a fashion house."

"Really? Which one?"

"Gabriel."

"Oh, I just bought a new cardigan from the fall line." Her enthusiasm showed she must've liked it too, though the price was probably something to worry about considering very few pieces of that collection were even released let alone on sale. Then again, she was a doctor. "Okay, exhaustion might be the cause, but I'm sure you didn't come here for me to tell you that. Mrs. Bassett, I'm going to run a few tests just to make sure."

"Yes." The designer agreed knowing Aaron wouldn't let her say no easily.

The doctor rummaged through a drawer before pulling out a cup to hand to her. "Could I get you to fill this up for me? I can get you some water if that will help?"

"No… I think I'll be good." And the woman hopped down with the cup and went to the bathroom located across the hall from her examination room.

"So… It really could be exhaustion?"

"It could… Though since she doesn't have a history of fainting I can't really be sure. Is she eating alright?"

"As far as I know. I try to make sure she eats, especially when she gets really into her work."

"What about exercise?" She asked next.

"Well… I suppose she could do more?" They hadn't gone out on patrol very regularly since Hawkmoth had been MIA. "She commutes to work via bus though so I imagine she gets a fair amount of walking in." It would be a little over 20 minutes between home, bus stops, and the studio in a day unless she left for lunch. "She's been tired lately from work so I don't really want her to overdo it."

"No, that would not be a good idea. Have her eating habits changed at all?"

The man scratched his head. "Well… I guess she does snack more often, but I kind of encourage her to do that when she's swamped with work or she'll forget altogether." Now that he thought about it, she'd had a recent craving for cheese Plagg was annoyed about.

"Something else come to mind?"

"Oh, um… She recently started liking camembert cheese, but that was only twice." And Plagg made sure of it.

Before any more questions could be asked Marinette returned with the, now half full, cup and handed it off to the doctor before sitting back up on the table. The doctor set it aside and approached the younger woman on the table. "You said before that you feel fine right now, correct?" She asked while gently probing the designer's throat.

"Yes. Completely fine." Her side glance to her husband wasn't missed.

"Any recent cramps? Headaches?"

"Nothing I don't experience normally. I get a headache after working too long before eating."

"She gets very hangry at that point." Aaron joked. "But as I said before, I try to stay on top of her eating to make sure she actually eats and not bring her plate to the work room and not touch it."

"One time, Aaron. One."

"That was enough times for me." He countered as he crossed his arms.

"Take a deep breath for me." The doctor asked after placing the stethoscope on her back. She was used to banter like this and found it amusing so decided not interfere outside her job. "Again?" Marinette did as told and the stethoscope was moved to sit right under her breasts. "One more?" Just as she was about to remove the disk she paused at an odd sound.

"Is… Something wrong?" Aaron noticed an odd expression on the doctor's face which was not really something you wanted to see.

"Marinette, lay down for me please?"

She could feel it in the doctor's voice and was now a bit worried herself. "Should I be worried?"

"I don't think so but…" The designer watched as her shirt was pulled up a bit and the doctor began feeling down from her ribs to her abdomen. "Didn't you say you were taking birth control?"

"I am…"

"Well…" The older woman started as she placed the stethoscope directly on Marinette's abdomen. "You're either incredibly lucky or incredibly unlucky, Mrs. Bassett, because you're pregnant. I can hear a strong heartbeat which means at least 6 weeks, but probably a couple months if the bpm is anything to go by."

"I'm what?" "Are you sure?" Both Marinette and Aaron asked at the same time.

"Quite, but I can give you a second opinion." She gave a knowing smile before pulling a pregnancy test from a drawer. She then proceeded to take a pipette and drop a small sample of urine that Marinette provided before onto the test strip. About two minutes later and the test showed the double lines she'd expected and she held it out to the couple.

"B-but… Those aren't always right? Right? I mean I was on birth control."

"That stuff is only about 99% effective you know? You just happen to hit the 1%, but if you still need proof we actually have an obstetrician here who can examine you."

Marinette held her head in her hands as Aaron stood up to place a hand on her back. "I know it's sudden, but I think it'll be alright." He gave a glance to the doctor and nodded.

"Okay, let me just go and check with him."

She left and Aaron placed a hand on his wife's chin. "Come on, Mari. I thought you wanted kids?" It made sense for her to be a little distraught, but she seemed more worried.

"I do… Just not yet."

He pulled her chin up to see her face. "Well, yeah, but life is full of surprises. I'm sure we can work it out." He was pleased to see her smile a bit and she took his hand in hers.

"You're right, but…" She let out a sigh.

"Come on, hun." He sat up on the table with her and she leaned on him.

"Earlier today I was in an interview with Gabriel Agreste."

Adrien froze at the mention. "Stephen said you fainted after a meeting?" So whatever they talked about must've stressed Marinette out.

"Yeah, for the designer position. At one point he'd asked about whether I had plans for children. I imagine it was to see if I could be a reliable member of his design team, and I told him it wouldn't be for a few years."

"So… Did anything else happen in this interview?"

Marinette looked up at him in slight curiosity. "Like what?"

"Nothing… I was just curious about…" He trailed off.

"My fainting?" She finished and scoffed. "Well, Mr. Agreste is very hard to read. My nerves were all over the place before I even walked in the door." That made sense. If anyone knew his father's general demeanor it was him. Gabriel Agreste didn't have to try being intimidating. It was his natural disposition. "I can't even say how the interview went, but I doubt I get the promotion now." Marinette lamented with a hand on her stomach.

"Marinette, you're looking at this all wrong." Aaron placed a hand on hers. "First of all, we're not 100% sure yet, and second… Well…" He blushed slightly. "I know it's earlier than we planned but I'm actually really happy right now."

Marinette looked at him and couldn't resist smiling. They had talked about children not long after getting married and she found him the next day making a list of activities they would all do together organized by age. It was cute. "I suppose that's enough." She muttered and squeezed his hand. "I'm sure I'll have other chances."

"Mari, I know you'll have other chances."

They only had to wait a little bit to see the obstetrician, but when they did they were surprised to find things were further along than they thought. "Hold on, 5 months? You're 5 months pregnant and I'm only just finding out about it?" Alya nearly screeched as she pulled out individual take out containers on the table.

"Considering I only found out today? Yeah." The designer admitted and placed a folder on the table. It contained a picture of her ultrasound.

"And you already know the gender?"

"A boy, so either Luis or Hugo."

"Right… Aaron was with you for this right? How does he feel about it?"

"He's over the moon." She then pointed to the fridge. "Already has a 'to do' list for getting things ready."

Alya chuckled at that, and Marinette was equally amused. "But you don't seem as happy." The journalist pointed out.

"I am, really… It just wasn't something I was expecting, and today of all days?" She shook her head.

"You mean the interview?"

Marinette had texted her that morning. "Yup, but I'll be fine. I mean I've always wanted kids and this was only the first time I was in line for a design position. I was lucky enough to be considered after only one year."

"Right, you'll definitely get another shot." Alya agreed. "Are you going to tell your parents together?"

"Aaron went back to the bakery to tell them they had to come for dinner today, though with my maman she'll probably assume its kids." Sabine was quite shrewd and knew more than she seemed.

"Okay, and what about Ladybug?"

There it was. The question that weighed heaviest on her mind after the job interview. "Well… I can only hope Hawkmoth stays wherever he is, at least until he's born."

Alya gestured to herself. "If not, you know I can step in. right?"

Marinette rolled her eyes. "That was something I brought up for absolute emergencies, Alya." The subject of her and Aaron's hero identities was a common private topic between the girls ever since they had that whole miscommunication and reveal the day the couple moved into their apartment. Alya knew to keep things private, and had a level of self control in her blogging skills she hadn't quite understood until the journalist had gone half a year without a mishap, though she did publish the LadyNoir story.

"Isn't being pregnant an emergency? I mean you can't go swinging across rooftops with a baby bump… No matter how subtle it is." The woman noted as she leaned down to look at Marinette's belly more closely.

"I'm already going to get this talk from Aaron, I don't need it from you." He'd probably restrict any hero work should it arise. "And stop staring." She swatted her friend's away.

"I'm full on jealous, girl. I hope I can look like you when five months pregnant."

"Dr. Herrin said that I appeared to have strong core muscles which might contribute to my lack of an apparent baby bump. If I'm lucky, I won't show until next month, though they were only giving me an approximation of the length."

"Ah, probably from all that swinging around roof tops." The journalist teased with a wink. "So we need to plan a good shopping trip and pick up essentials." She started counting on her fingers. "Clothes, diapers, furniture and I bet Rose will be dying to plan your shower."

"Alya, let's just put the brakes on for a second, alright? Let me adjust to the idea of being pregnant before you start making plans."

Alya could tell her friend was looking a little overwhelmed at the moment and decided to let it go. "Okay, I get it. Then how about we watch a movie, huh? Something fun to get your mind off of things?"

Marinette grabbed a box of chicken from the table and pointed to the couch. "Now that sounds fine. Pick something that won't put me to sleep right away though. After my morning I'm exhausted and I don't want to sleep through dinner."

Nathalie knocked on her boss' office door promptly at 4pm. She always alerted him to when the designers left for the day on the normal schedule. "Sir, Stephen just submitted his report for the day." This time, however, she didn't receive any confirmation that he'd heard her. "Sir?" She opened the door a bit and saw Gabriel looking over the files on his desk. "Gabriel?" He flinched. "I just want to make sure you knew that Stephen submitted his report for the day."

"Yes… I heard you."

"Is something the matter, sir?" He didn't usually look so perturbed unless he was designing. "I am making an important decision regarding the future of my company, Nathalie." He nearly snapped at her obvious interruption. "Though perhaps this is better done now. Nathalie, I need a background check on both Cyrano Stern and Marinette Bassett. Have it include immediate family such as spouses and parents."

"Sir?" She immediately questioned considering he didn't normally do this for people already employed.

"You heard me. I don't need a repeat of what happened with Jaclyn." Who had leaked company secrets regarding an upcoming line to a rival company due to a brother needing money.

"O-of course, sir. I'll get right on that." Gabriel gave her a slightly curious look as she turned to leave the room and narrowed his gaze as a thought occurred to him.

Aaron left his shift early with a little help from Richard who was gracious enough to cover the rest of his shift with no questions asked. The man attributed that to either Richard knowing what was going on somehow or to trying to get in his good graces despite already being there. Either way it didn't really matter. He stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few extra ingredients for dinner since they would be hosting for four instead of two, and then went straight home. Nino had arrived and he assumed Alya never left from earlier. "Don't you have reporting to do?" He joked after placing his bags on the counter and pulling out a cup from the cabinet.

"I have a few stories in the works but you'll have to wait to find out with the rest of Paris. A hint though, that my next big scoop is someone we all know." She winked which gave the baker a little worry. Nino nodded at him with a smile which made him feel better though.

"You know Alya, and she hasn't slipped up yet." Marinette consoled when she noticed how tense her husband looked. She wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned on him from behind.

"Hey, Mari, how are you feeling?"

"Pissed at myself for being annoyed about being pregnant." She muttered as Aaron reached around her to place a hand on her back.

"It is a big adjustment, Mari, but I bet you'll be excited after a day or so."

"I am excited, Aaron… I am…"

He pulled her arm to himself and lifted up her chin. "Okay now, use your words. Tell me what's really bothering you."

She pouted at him always being able to see through her. "Honest?"

"Always, now speak."

"Urg… Okay, I'm more annoyed I never noticed until a professional pointed it out…"

Aaron raised a brow. "Huh? Isn't that normal though? I mean how else do you find out if you don't use a test?"

"Well, a woman can usually just tell, you know, intuition, or at the very least can notice signs. Poor Mari's good luck is also her bad luck in this though." Alya started as she put away her phone from checking her mail. "Her only symptom aside from her little fainting spell earlier was reduced coordination which, I'm sorry Mari, is pretty standard for you. I imagine if you hadn't been under the stress of a potential career making promotion, even your slight anemia wouldn't have caused you to faint."

"You know I was a little curious about that. I've heard crazy stories about having pregnant wives and they talked about puking all the time, eating weird things and always messing with the thermostat." Nino commented as he enjoyed a beer courtesy of Aaron's stock.

"Yup, and Mari lucked out of pretty much all of that so far."

"No, she stole Plagg's camembert twice last week." Aaron corrected as he opted out of a beer himself and poured juice in his cup. He didn't want to drink if Marinette couldn't.

"Eww…" Nino grimaced and was joined by his wife. All eyes turned in the direction of a deep hiss coming from the back of the apartment.

"And Plagg is having none of it." Aaron then moved to start working on the dinner prep that Marinette began before he got home.

"So, are you two going to spill before or after dinner? I wanna know how long I need to keep quiet." Alya asked as Marinette sat down next to her with her sketchbook.

"It's bad I haven't decided isn't it?"

"We'll just let it happen naturally. I'm sure your mom will ask at some point." Aaron pulled a few shakers from the cabinet above him while he set something on the range to cook.

"Even if you guys didn't know until now given your situation it'll be fine." Nino stated as he approached the table. "I mean, you work for her parents so you'll be able to take time off if you need it."

"True, and Marinette can start her maternity leave in just over two months."

The designer, however, looked like she was going to go stir crazy at the thought. "I'm going to miss the whole winter release…."

"Mari, with the way you work, you're going to have your own personal winter release." Alya gestured to the sketch on her pad which appeared to be a form of maternity dress. "Honestly, girl, Aaron's going to have his work cut out for him to keep you from working even on your time off."

"Tell me about it…" The man grumbled from the kitchen. Small talk continued up until Marinette's parents arrived. Aaron was just taking the vegetables out of the oven. "I'll have it all ready in two minutes."

"Take your time." Sabine encouraged as she took a seat at the table where Alya had made space. The kitchen table wasn't big enough for six people so Alya and Nino were sitting at the coffee table which wasn't too far away anyway. As Marinette brought out rolls to be eaten with the casserole Sabine started looking very eager to try one.

Marinette wasn't too curious about the behavior until she broke her roll and looked… Disappointed. When the designer came back to the table to set the bowl of oven roasted carrots and saw the woman looking under her plate it got even stranger. "Aaron." She started to whisper right up behind her husband. "Did you tell my parents anything?"

"No, why?" He whispered back.

"My mom is… She looks like she lost something then."

Aaron took the casserole out of the oven and walked it out to the table. He too noted an odd look on Sabine and Tom looked amused. "Uh, Alya, Nino, care to make your plates first?" He set a serving spoon into the dish and stepped back so that the other couple could get their dinner first considering they were not at the table.

"Next time you're putting the leaf in, Aaron." The designer declared finding the odd seating very inconvenient. The baker nodded, though he was more occupied watching Sabine peek into the food between Alya and Nino serving themselves. Once they finished, Aaron and Marinette sat down and allowed her parents to start serving themselves. "So, Sabine… Is there something wrong with the food?"

"What?" The older woman asked looking slightly sheepish. "No, nothing's wrong."

"Maman, why are you picking through your cheese?" Marinette asked next.

"I made it exactly the way you taught me, Sabine." Aaron added.

"Yes, yes you did."

Marinette let out a sigh. "Maman, just tell us what's wrong." It must be something since Sabine was never one to nitpick unless the food was being served to a customer or it came to new year's traditions.

"It's nothing, Marinette. Nothing." She insisted back.

"Dear, I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself."

"I am not, Tom. You'll see."

"Maman, please, just tell me what you're looking for."

"Your mother has been waiting for close to two months for you to tell us you're pregnant and she seems to be under the impression that this dinner is some kind of gender reveal party." By the end of his sentence only he looked amused. The rest of the room, minus Sabine, looked surprised. Several seconds of silence passed before Marinette stood up from the table and dashed to the back of the apartment shutting the door to her room in the process.

"See what you did, Tom. It was her surprise to tell."

"But, dear, your searching wasn't helping things."

"Sabine." Aaron called, interrupting the older couple's little spat. "How did you know Marinette was pregnant?"

Sabine gave him a smirk and raised a finger. "A mother always knows."

"And I bet that's what Marinette is back in your room catastrophizing about right now." Alya remarked from the couch while Nino tried to stay completely out of it.

"More than likely." Aaron agreed with a sigh.

"What's wrong, Aaron?" Tom asked noticing the tense air and feeling it wasn't quite right for a ruined surprise.

"Uh… Well you see, we only just found out Marinette was pregnant today, and Marinette's been upset at herself for not noticing before."

Tikki pat her chosen's back as Aaron entered the room after cleaning up. After Marinette left dinner, she refused to come out of the room and no one wanted to push her at the moment. "Nino and Alya just left, and Alya wanted you to call her in the morning when you're feeling better." He heard a groan from his wife who was half buried in a pillow. "She understands, don't worry." Another groan came in response. "And I understand too, Mari." He leaned over the bed to kiss his wife's partially exposed cheek. "This whole day's been…"

"I will take crazy over bad, Mari, please. You're just a little stressed."

"Understatement, Aaron…" She grumbled as she turned over to see him. She was glad she decided to remove her makeup before dinner or it would've been all over her pillow.

"Yes, but the silver lining?"

"It's over?" The designer muttered covering her eyes.

He pulled the arm away and smirked at her. "You get to make so many baby clothes." The man knew how his wife worked. She would always design around what she was thinking about and mostly based on necessity or her job. "Plus, since we know we're having a boy, picking baby furniture should be easier don't you think?" He reached over to place a gentle hand on her stomach and slid his head alongside hers. "Plus, a little bug once told me she was really looking forward to being a mom."

"I am, really, Aaron… I'm just… It's…"

"Sudden, I know, but it's not something to make yourself miserable over, Mari. So you didn't notice? What's the real problem?"

"Yeah, I mean, it's not like any of the Ladybugs ever notice anyway." Plagg added from his spot on a high shelf a few feet away rolling on his sock bed.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Exactly what I said. I could count the number of Ladybugs I've known who noticed they were having a kitten on my whiskers."

Aaron looked over to Tikki who nodded at Plagg's revelation. "You hear that, Mari? Apparently its normal not to notice."

"For a hero in a time of crisis, yeah, but I haven't transformed in months… I should have noticed." She then turned over. "My own mother noticed months before me and I barely saw her more than once a week. I'm not even a mother yet and I'm missing the obvious…"

Aaron sat up and leaned over his wife. "Hold on… You're not so much mad that you didn't notice as you are worried are you?"

"Of course I'm worried, Aaron." She placed her hand over his. "I should have known. A good mother would have known and I can't blame being Ladybug."

"Urg, sugar cube, you might want to explain it to her. She's got the wrong idea." Plagg suggested feeling it was about to get way to sappy for him.

"I'm actually proud of you for noticing, Plagg." She giggled in praise before floating over to sit in front of Marinette. "And, I think you really did misunderstand, Marinette."

"How do I misunderstand not knowing I'm pregnant?"

Aaron pat her shoulder before reaching his arm back around her waist. "Just let Tikki explain."

"Right, you see, Marinette, my Ladybugs don't miss the signs of being pregnant because they are being heroes, it's because the miraculous suppresses them."

"Suppresses them? Pregnancy symptoms?" The designer inquired finding it bizarre.

"Yup, for safety. You see the physical symptoms of human pregnancy can be dangerous for a miraculous holder. Things like, nausea, and irregular temperature regulation could cause a problem in a pinch so as part of the miraculous magic's protection, most of that is reduced. It's just like how Chat Noir can get cataclysmed and still be able to breathe and walk. Plagg's miraculous magic protects his holder from intense physical degradation."

"Hold on… Are you saying that my cataclysm wouldn't work on any holder or just me?"

"Ha! Only I can stop a cataclysm, kid. My purview is destruction, and Tikki's is creation."

"Yes, which means my magic is very effective at protecting my chosen from physical effects regarding creation."

"Which is why it's so rare for a Ladybug to know they're pregnant." Plagg finished as he curled up to sleep.

Tikki nodded. "Exactly, so this isn't you not paying attention, Marinette."

The woman just groaned at the whole thing. "So I was sabotaged by magic… Yet it really doesn't make me feel any better."

"Come on, milady. You're going to be a great mom. You're just tired and stressed right now."

"I'm glad one of us is completely ready." She lamented back.

"Ready? No, Mari, I think you have the wrong idea about me." Aaron argued causing her to glance back at him. "I may not look like it, but I'm just as anxious as you."

"Oh really? Says the man who made a detailed list of what he was going to put together for the baby's room less than 15 minutes after leaving the clinic."

"That doesn't mean I'm ready, it just means I want to be." He kissed the back of her head. "I have been worried about becoming a father ever since we started dating."

"What? But you always acted so-"

"I want to be a father, Mari, but that doesn't mean I'm not terrified of screwing it up."

Marinette chuckled at him. "Aaron, if you treat our son with even a fraction of the care you give me, then you'll be fine." Aaron was devoted, careful, extremely patient and earnest. What better qualities could you ask for?

"Well, I certainly hope so, bugaboo. You might be feeling bad because you're mom noticed before you, but I hope to be nothing like my father." He felt her squeeze his hands. "So… How about we agree to just be us, and go from there? I think you'll be an awesome mom and you think I'll be a great dad. I feel like we can trust each other's opinions."

Marinette let out a sigh and cuddled back against him more. "I love you, kitty, and I'm jealous that you're so good at knowing just what to say."

"Ah, but milady, I learn from the best." He smirked and sat up. "Now, why don't we get to sleep? We have a very big decision to make tomorrow."

"What?" The young woman asked looking a little anxious again.

"Yes, you see my shift ends at 1, and I want to make a quick run to the store on my way home, but I can't do that until we decide."

"Decide what? A color?" She certainly had a few design ideas in mind for the room but it had scarcely danced through her mind with everything else.

"No, bugaboo, we need to decide if he's going to be a Luis, or Hugo. I can't very well plan to put his name on everything until I know which name we're going with."

His wife let out an exasperated sigh. "Aaron, we are not labeling his room."

"What? You get to embroider his clothes but I can't paint his name on a crib?"

"That's different, and I'm not going to embroider all of his clothes."

"Well, then I get to label some of his things at least." The man argued back while crossing his arms. "I'm getting a paint brush or a stamp or something."

"Or, I can crikcut out a few letters for you? How about that?" She compromised to avoid the possibility of odd name placement at the very least. Vinyl would only stick to so many surfaces after all.

"I… Guess I can settle for that, but I definitely want one for the crib."

"You can have one for the crib." She agreed knowing he was just being silly now. She leaned up to kiss him but he leaned away.

"And I get to make a special label to that you can't say no too."

"Aaron… This better not involve a cat pun. We are not putting cat puns all over our son's room."

"You'll just have to wait and see, Mari, but I promise not to put cat puns all over the place." He kissed her on the head before pulling her down to the bed. "Now let's go to sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow." Marinette rolled her eyes from her spot in his arms. Future father or no, he was still Chat Noir.

Sudden news like that would stress anyone out in my opinion especially if they didn't plan for it. Unfortunately it doesn't appear a sudden pregnancy is their only worry at the moment. What can I say, their life is just full of surprises, eh? But after all the drama and such I gave Marinette I wanted to end this chapter on a happy note. Marinette is in no way upset about the fact she's pregnant. If I didn't make that clear in the chapter I'm making it clear here. I can just imagine how someone like Marinette could be pretty down on herself for missing what's supposed to be obvious. (Yes, I know it isn't always which is the point of the above chapter.)=^-^=

Thank you all who read this far, and I'd love to hear what you think? Also theories and questions are welcome too!=^-^=
