Arena
Goku saw Tenya and Ochaco, so he waved them over. The two took seats around the class rep, and he noticed Ochaco's eyes looked a bit dried up.
"Hey, what happened to your eyes?" Goku asked since he remembered they were fine even before Recovery Girl healed her.
"Oh this?" She replied. "It's from…something else."
"She was just frustrated after her match." Iida explained.
"It's no time to wallow." Tokoyami interjected. "Use this next fight as a source of encouragement."
"Will do." Uraraka responded.
"You're so wise." Tenya silently praised.
"Good advice Fumikage." Goku complimented.
The fighters were walking towards the arena as Mic announced. "I can FEEL the anticipation in the stadium, and that's because the second round's first match is going to be EPIC! It's the guy who won his first fight by a landslide, and literally left half the audience frozen!
The Hero Course's Shoto Todoroki!" Shoto walked into the arena with his usual, cold demeanor. "And this kid almost walked out of his first matchup but made a stunning comeback by showing us some impressive moves! Also from the Hero Course, Izuku Midoriya!"
Izuku was looking determined as he walked in the arena. The two fighters stared each other down as they waited for the go ahead. The crowd was going crazy with their cheers, but the Hero Course students were calm.
Tenya then looked over to Fumikage. "Tokoyami, how do you think this match will go?"
"It depends on whether or not Midoriya is able to get close." The dark student answered.
Mic continued his commentary as the crowd was waiting for the fight to start. "Both Heroes in training have been frontrunners at the Sports Festival, but which one will advance to the next round? Prepare for, Midoriya vs Todoroki!"
"Come on Izuku." Goku muttered to himself hoping his friend succeeded in what he set out to do. "Do what you told me you were going to."
Both boys got ready for a preemptive strike while Mic was commentating. "BEGIN!"
Todoroki started the match with a large wave of ice from his feet. The One For All user already had his hand up as he used the power in his finger to completely destroy the ice attack. The son of Endeavor made a large chunk of ice behind him to brace on and take the force of the attack.
The power of both attacks together made a gust of freezing wind that made everyone, except those who were used to the cold, shiver. Shards of ice were flying around leaving only the frozen floor and chunk Shoto braced on .
"Wow!" Mic announced. "Midoriya managed to break Todoroki's insane, opening move!"
Goku noticed that Izuku had broken his finger with that move, so he only had seven shots like that left. At least, that's what it seemed like, but the younger Shield could see a way for him to continue beyond that.
"Just how far does your conviction go, Izuku?" Goku questioned internally.
Todoroki used another ice barrage against his opponent, but it was once again countered by the exact same method.
"He countered AGAIN!" Mic commentated.
Neither person had moved from their positions, yet two powerful clashes of ice and wind had been made in less than 30 seconds. Izuku's hand was trembling, most likely from the pain, as he began analyzing his situation.
Shoto was recovering from the wind pressure and planning his next attack. "Let's continue."
The twin haired fighter made another ice barrage, and his opponent once again countered. It was clear that this was starting out as an endurance match between Quirks.
Then, Eijiro ran into the bleachers. "Oh crap, I'm missing it!"
"Hey, nice job making it into the second round Kirishima." Denki congratulated.
"Thanks man." Eijiro replied. "Looks like I take down Bakugo next."
"I'll kill you." Katsuki retorted while mostly focusing on the battle.
"Yeah, sure. In your dreams." Kirishima taunted. "But seriously, it's crazy how both you and Todoroki have moves that blast the whole stadium. Must be pretty nice."
"Plus, you don't have to pause between attacks." Hanta added.
"It's not as easy as you think, morons." Bakugo informed them. "If you overuse your muscles, you risk tearing them apart. If you sprint too much, you run out of breath. Quirks are physical abilities too. They can get worn out. You can't just use them nonstop."
Goku mentally agreed with his classmate as the same thing applied to himself. His physical capabilities had their limits, and his energy capabilities followed that same logic.
"It makes sense when you put it that way." Eijiro understood. "I wonder if that's how Midoriya thinks he's going to beat Todoroki."
Shoto spoke up. "You want an endurance match, but I'll end this quickly."
He launched another ice barrage, and Izuku used the last finger on his right hand destroying the attack. The son of Endeavor made a path of ice which he ran up.
"Todoroki withstood Midoriya's power and is now rushing his classmate!" Mic announced as the events unfolded.
Izuku switched to his left hand and blasted the ice in front of him; however, Shoto was above the attack. He dropped down towards his opponent's position. Midoriya dodged the attack, but Todoroki froze the ground upon contact.
The ice traveled towards Izuku's leg catching him. Midoriya wasn't going to let this be the end and clenched his fist letting the power flow through his entire arm. He then slammed it into the ice that trapped his leg, and the force from that attack made an even stronger gust of wind.
That wind didn't block out Izuku's yell from the pain he inflicted upon himself. The force from the attack destroyed all the ice in the arena leaving only the ice igloo that Shoto made to brace himself though it took some damage.
"That was much more powerful than your previous attack." The recommendation student stated as he was pushing the ice in front of him away and getting to his feet. "You're trying to keep me away. Smart."
Looking at both fighters, the situation wasn't looking good on the surface. Midoriya had a broken left arm and four broken fingers on his right hand. He was incredibly stressed both physically and mentally while Todoroki looked completely fine.
The only thing anyone would notice would be ice on his skin and clothes, yet he looked as calm as ever. "What's the matter? Are you really that worn out from defending?" The ice user was slightly shivering as he said that which told Goku the ice user was reaching his limit.
"I'm sorry about this, but thanks for drawing it out." The boy looked towards his father. "Look at him. He's furious I'm not using his power. With your hands like that, you can't fight anymore, can you? Why don't we end this?"
He sent out one more ice barrage looking to finish the fight.
"Whohohoa! Todoroki continues his overwhelming attack!" Present Mic commentated. "Could this be his finishing move!?"
The ice was getting closer by the millisecond before it was completely blasted away. Everyone looked shocked, but Izuku used one of his broken fingers to counter. This pushed his opponent almost out of the ring. He only managed to survive by catching himself with an ice wall.
"You're trembling, Todoroki." Izuku stated angrily. "It's easy to forget that Quirks are physical abilities, and that means there's a limit to the cold your body can take, right?" He was struggling to raise his right hand while he kept speaking. "I get it.
Usually, you make up for the drop in temperature by using the heat from your left side, but you refuse to do that now." Shoto was visibly angry with those words, but Midoriya kept going. "Listen. We're all giving it our best to make our dreams into a reality.
You think you can win with half your strength? Look at me Todoroki." He fought through the pain and formed a fist with his right hand. "You haven't managed to put a single scratch on me, so come at me with all you've got!"
That speech managed to make a noticeable change.
For better or worse, Todoroki was angry. "Midoriya, what are you trying to do here? You want my fire!? What, did my monster of a dad bribe you or something?" He didn't even bother using a barrage, and instead charged his opponent. "Now, I'm MAD!"
While he ran, Goku and a few others noticed his movements were slower showing he was getting tired. Midoriya had dashed forward the instant Todoroki's right foot was in the air and charged power to his arm. He punched his opponent in the gut without breaking himself or Shoto.
"A solid punch!" Mic announced. "That's the kind of action I like to see!"
During the attack, while being pushed back, Todoroki managed to scrape his fingers on Midoriya's left arm freezing it with ice. Izuku recoiled from the pain, but it wasn't from the ice. He had broken his other three fingers on his right hand.
While the crowd was stunned at how Midoriya landed a solid strike on Shoto, Goku was just leaning on the edge of the safety barrier. "Come on Izuku. Don't back down and keep pushing."
Todoroki was breathing heavily, but he placed his right foot forward sending more ice out. It wasn't nearly as much as before, and the attacks were much easier to deal with. Midoriya got ready to flick while Shoto got in close and began to freeze the ground.
Cementoss was contemplating stopping the match. During this time, Todoroki went for another attack, but Midoriya ran past it as he went for another flick breaking the attempted counterattack. The force sent him sliding back, but he could still move his fingers.
This meant he could prepare another flick. If this keeps going, Izuku could lose his fingers; however, the fight stopping now could mean Shoto is truly consumed by his anger preventing him from getting over this obstacle.
Now, the two fighters were face to face again. Izuku attempted to strike his opponent. The son of Endeavor dodged the attacks and tried to freeze his opponent. He failed every time because his attacks were too slow.
After gaining a small amount of distance, the ice user attempted an attack while his opponent charged. Midoriya had stuck his thumb in his mouth and flicked it towards Todoroki destroying the attack. Shoto made ice behind him, but it broke. He made even more, but it still broke.
He did it one more time and finally stopped moving. "Why are you putting yourself through this?"
"I want to live up to people's expectations." Izuku answered. "I want to be able to smile, while doing something good for them!" He ran towards his opponent as he continued. "I want to be a Hero no matter what!" That answer made Shoto freeze allowing Midoriya to land another strike.
"That's why I'll give it my all just like you should be!" Todoroki slid back a bit. "There's no way I can know what you've gone through, or why you're even here. Your life has been different than mine. If you want to reject your father, fine, but you don't have the right to be number one!"
Those words made Shoto get lost in his thought.
"Todoroki." Goku gripped the barrier hard. "Don't shut yourself off. Please, let Izuku help you."
The boy's guard was down leaving him open for another punch in the gut by Midoriya. "That's why I'm going to win this!" The physically broken boy decreed. "I'll surpass you!"
Shoto landed on the ground, still in the arena, but barely moving. He struggled to even stand from the cold and pain he was feeling.
"Shut up." Todoroki forced himself onto his feet. "I will reject you. I refuse…to use my left side."
"IT'S YOURS!" He yelled out. "YOUR QUIRK; NOT HIS!"
That made Todoroki snap out of his trance and remember something else from his past. Those six words were exactly what Shoto needed to hear. His right side started to steam up, and his ice began to melt. Suddenly, a giant pillar of flames was in front of Midoriya.
"WHAT IS THAT!?" Mic questioned shocked.
"He's using his fire!" Ochaco stated while squinting her eyes from the bright light.
Tenya remembered Todoroki told him how he never uses his fire in combat. "Incredible."
Goku smiled at this breakthrough.
"You're helping your opponent even though you want to win." Shoto pointed out. "You fool. Now, which one of us is screwing around." He looked at peace. "I want it to. I'll be a Hero!"
Midoriya smiled and Todoroki did too. The flame user was saved, and now he can become an even greater Hero as a result.
"He did it!" Goku cheered.
Everyone was just thinking that he meant Shoto using his fire when he really meant that Izuku saved his classmate.
Then, a familiar voice was heard. "YES SHOTO!" It was Endeavor blissfully encouraging his son as he walked down to the edge of the barrier to watch him up close. "Have you finally accepted your purpose!? That's it! Very good! This is the dawn of a new era for us! With my blood in your veins, you'll surpass me! You will live up to the reason I CREATED YOU!"
His body was flaring up as much as his son's. A single strand of water had trickled down Todoroki's cheek looking like it came from his eye. Most likely, he shed a tear for breaking his oath, but he didn't stop using his flames. He didn't care anymore.
"Endeavor's suddenly shouting words of…encouragement?" Mic guessed. "What a doting father."
Izuku was still smiling as he praised the power in front of him. "Amazing."
"Why are you smiling?" Shoto questioned making his opponent come back to reality. "With those injuries, in this hopeless situation, you must be crazy." Both boys got their serious faces on one last time ready to clash. "Don't blame me for what happens next."
Todoroki started freezing the right side of the ground while his flames began flaring up even more. He was letting both of his powers out at their maximum while Midoriya channeled One For All into his left leg.
This created a torrent of wind that broke off the ice on his left arm and shredding the pants leg from the power. Cementoss and Midnight were now going to try and stop the match with cement walls and knockout gas; however, there was no stopping this.
It was time for the final clash of this fight to commence. Shoto made an ice barrage that was almost as strong as the one he used on Sero, but more focused and precise. It blitzed towards his opponent, but Izuku jumped over the attack.
He was blitzing towards the dual element user. "COME AT ME WITH YOUR FULL POWER TODOROKI!"
As those words were said, Shoto's left hand was behind him and slowly moved forward. "I see now Midoriya." The One For All user put all his power into his right arm, extending the limb out, ready to deliver the final blow. "Thank you."
Todoroki's arm extended forward as he sent out a fire blast towards Izuku. Five cement walls were made in a split second, but they were eviscerated when the attacks contacted them resulting in a powerful explosion. Dust had covered the entire arena, so nobody knew what happened.
"What happened just now?" Mic asked. "What the heck is up with your students?"
"The air around the arena had been thoroughly cooled down and rapidly expanded when heated up." Aizawa explained.
"Wait, that's what caused the explosion?" Mic questioned. "How hot did that fire get? Jeez, I can't see a thing. Is the match still going on?"
Midnight got back up, after having been knocked down, and looked around. She found Shoto still in the ring. The left side of his shirt had been burnt off and ice was behind his back as it had barely withstood the force. Then, she saw Izuku with his back against the wall, his leg and arms broken, and slowly leaning to the right. He fell to the ground unconscious and out of bounds.
"There" Midnight declared. "Midoriya is out of bounds, so Todoroki wins! He advances to the third round!"
The audience was contemplating the point of Izuku provoking Shoto into using his flames, but Goku knew why. It made him proud of his friend for doing so. Katsuki had silently growled at the series of events that had happened during this battle but was otherwise silent.
Tomura's Room
Tomura and Piccolo were waiting for the next match to continue. During this time, the messy haired villain was printing out pictures of the two that had fought. If anything came out of this, it's that the immature brat was starting to see who he had to take out before achieving his goal.
"It seems as though you have learned more about your enemies." Piccolo stated. "Remember brat, they are just an example of what the next generation can do."
Piccolo hadn't understood why Tomura even needed this lesson. To his knowledge, All For One filled the brat in on who the green Villains biological father was, and the ways he was already surpassing him. Simply put, the new generation benefited from the failure of the previous.
"I can see that." Shigaraki replied. "Now, I know who else I want to destroy."
With the way Tomura was speaking, Piccolo noted that he wasn't seeing the bigger picture. "It's not just that."
Shigaraki looked back at him. "I'm finding the obstacles that I need to get rid of. What else is there to look for?"
"You wish for the death of All Might; however, that won't be enough." Piccolo informed. "It'll destabilize things, but Hero society won't truly end with him. To end Hero society, you must develop an eye for enemies and allies."
"I'm not recruiting the brat who froze Nomu half to death." Shigaraki coldly replied.
"It's too late for that now anyways." Piccolo informed. "That green haired boy helped him overcome a lot to the point that he'd be out of our reach. The next ally could be anywhere, so you must be vigilant for any opportunity as it presents itself."
"I don't like your tone." Shigaraki warned.
"This is why I call you brat." Piccolo walked away. "I think we've both had enough 'quality time' together. You can stay here while I head out to attend to some business."
Corridors
Goku and a few classmates left the bleachers because they wanted to see if Midoriya was okay. When he, Tsu, Tenya, Ochaco, and Momo got to the office, the younger Shield and Momo had planned on knocking.
The other three ended up barged in calling out to their friend. When they got in the room, the other two followed. Goku noticed a skinny guy there who looked a lot like his Uncle Might. He was also freaking out especially at this attention.
"That is weird." Goku thought before shrugging it off.
All Might was relieved when the other students, and especially his nephew, turned away from him.
"He's in no state for visitors." Recovery Girl stated.
"Hey, you guys." Izuku softly stated likely just waking up from the commotion. "Shouldn't you be watching the matches?"
"The stage was far too damaged." Iida explained. "They're taking a break to repair it now."
"You're Quirk is quite powerful." Momo stated reasonably impressed. "Though, you really need to work to mitigate the detriments. I don't think any of us like seeing you in this condition."
"Maybe now isn't the time." The frog girl pointed out.
"You're much too noisy!" Recovery Girl spoke up as she started to push the five of them out. "I know you're worried, but I've got to focus on surgery now."
"SURGERY!?" The five of them repeated.
"Go on, get out." The nurse kept pushing the five out while they were asking how their friend will be. "Don't worry and leave me to it."
Now, the five of them were outside the door as it was closed in their face. Asui had let out a sad ribbit before the five of them left the area. While she and the other non-competitors went back to the bleachers, Goku and Tenya decided to go to the waiting room since their match was next.
Arena: Later…
"OKAY!" Mic's voice was heard on the speakers. "Now that the ring's been fixed up, let's get the next match started!"
That was Goku and Tenya's que to head into the ring. The pair had gone to sit in the same waiting room from which they both departed. Before departure, they gave each other a resolute nod and moved to take different entrances.
The two fighters made it into the arena and Mic continued his commentary. "It's the boy whose shown excellent technique, Goku Shield." He waved to the crowd as they cheered him on "Verses, the speedster that triumphed over strength, Tenya Iida!" He walked out determined.
"I want you to come at me with your best." Iida stated.
"Wouldn't dream of doing anything else." Goku retorted.
"Okay! Second match of the second round, BEGIN!" Mic announced.
Tenya ran towards his target as he did not hesitate for a second. When he threw a kick, Goku blocked it by crossing his arms and didn't move an inch. He then took the moment to plant his own foot into Tenya's leg knocking him a fair distance away.
"Oh man!" Present Mic announced. "It appears both boys are fast, so this fight might not be over quickly!"
Tenya began running again, but this time he was circling Goku to observe. Iida didn't have too many options when it came to fighting someone like Goku, so he had to think on the fly. He had his Recipro Burst, but he was only going to use that as a last resort.
Goku kept his eye on his opponent since he knew he couldn't underestimate the engine legged guy. When he finally noticed the pattern, Goku charged in and reared back for a powerful punch. Iida just barely managed to pull his upper body back and skid under the attack.
He used his momentum to then grab his class rep by the back of the shirt and began sprinting towards the closest edge. The crowd was cheering at the spectacle that was unfolding while Class 1-A was impressed with how well the engine legged student was doing.
Still, they knew it wasn't going to be over that quickly. Tenya was getting closer to the edge, readying himself to throw his opponent out, only to be kicked in the chest hard. Goku had swung his leg back nailing Tenya, forcing him to release his hold, and knocking him away.
The class rep himself landed safely and turned towards his friend before sprinting forward. He lept into the air and intended to come down hard on his right foot. Without any time to lose, Tenya rolled back avoiding the strike and getting to his feet.
He then dashed towards Goku and managed to slam his own foot into the guy knocking him back. The class rep managed to bend back enough to catch the stage with his hand and flip back to his feet. The crowd was cheering from the spectacle.
"Wow." Toru commented. "Iida's doing great."
"Yeah." Mashairao agreed. "He's actually making progress."
"His speed really is something else." Mezo remarked.
"On top of that, he hasn't even used his special move." Denki pointed out.
"He might actually have a chance at beating Goku." Eijiro thought out loud.
Katsuki scoffed at that last comment.
"I don't think so." Momo stated getting their attention. "Iida's best shot at beating Goku would have been if he managed to keep Recipro Burst a secret. Even then, it's debatable that'd have worked. With it now being known, Goku won't lose to it."
Tenya observed Goku closely and noticed that he was barely injured. "My speed isn't enough to injure him, so my only option it to ring him out." He got ready to use his move once again. "The only way I can possible manage that is with a gamble."
"Bring it on Tenya." Goku glowed blue as he firmly planted his stance. "Hit me with everything you got!"
Tenya revved up his engines to maximum and charged. "RECIPRO BURST!"
Goku held his hands out defensively only for Tenya to blitz past him and go for a roundhouse kick. "Barrier!"
The yellow barrier erected itself around Goku. While Iida effortlessly smashed through, it was enough. Goku had leapt back, turned around in midair, and landed before charged forward. He threw a powerful haymaker across Iida's face.
Tenya registered that this punch hurt more than any other hit previously and attributed its power to the blue energy his friend uses. The engine legged guy ended up crashing down out of the ring and slid for a few seconds before stopping.
"Tenya Iida had been forced out of bounds!" Midnight announced. "Goku advances to the third round!"
Goku ran over to Tenya and helped his friend up. "That was a fun fight."
"I appreciate the praise, but you were the stronger combatant." Tenya smiled. "You earned this victory."
"Thanks Tenya." Goku stated.
The two of them ended up walking out of there together as the Heroes talked about them.
"That spikey haired kid was really good."
"The boy with the engines used his speed to try and overwhelm his opponent. Smart."
"But that other guy had a great defense."
"Both of them are good with their Quirks, and I think they'll go pretty far."
Hosu
Piccolo currently wore a black cloak with a rather large hood over his usual attire to mask his presence. While it looked peculiar, potentially spotting a figure in a black cloak was better than spotting someone green. That's not even to say Piccolo would be caught by your average Hero.
All For One had helped him develop certain, useful skills after all. Still, it was best to be safe. After all, rescuing the brat from that armored truck put him at the scene of the crime, and he knew there had been cameras around. Currently, he was on a roof within Hosu.
It was a small city with nothing particularly notable; however, a certain pattern clued him into the fact that someone they could utilize might very well be in this city next. It wasn't confirmed, but any lead on potential recruits was worth looking into.
Without this fact, Piccolo really wouldn't have paid this place a second thought. Upon arriving, he did happen across a part of the city that warranted a closer eye. Despite the bright and vibrant day, there weren't any people in this specific part of it. That spoke of a Hero's influence.
That was a promising sign as was what looked like a task force driving through the empty streets. They halted nearby, and a team of heroes got out. One Hero stood out among the crowd. He was clad in white armor and spoke into a phone.
"This is Ingenium." The Hero announced. "My sidekicks and I have reached the location that the Hero Killer was last spotted."
"Looks like I've followed the right lead." Piccolo thought. "Hero Killer, Stain."
Ingenium continued. "Yes, I'll begin the search now."
Ingenium turned back towards his sidekicks and gave each of them their orders. He organized them into squads before splitting them off to begin their search or make a perimeter around the area. Then, he ran off on his own.
Piccolo silently followed him from the roof tops staying out of sight. "I couldn't ask for a better situation. Given what information I have on the Hero Killer, you're the perfect bait to draw him out."

The next match, if it could even be called one, saw Fumikage Tokoyami dealing with Mina Ashido by using Dark Shadow as soon as the match began. She was pushed out immediately losing even quicker than Hanta did.
"Ashido is out of bounds!" Midnight announced. "Tokoyami will advance!"
While the crowd cheered, 1-A was talking about how versatile Dark Shadow was.
"Wow." Yamcha started. "He won that battle fast."
"Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is… so amazing." Asui commented before noticing Ochaco. "Ribbit? What's wrong? You still worried about Midoriya?"
"She said she had to perform surgery." Uraraka pointed out looking worried.
"Recovery Girl's the best." Denki replied trying to make the girl feel better. "You've got nothing to worry about."
"Yeah, he's right." Tsuyu agreed.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Goku placed a hand on her shoulder. "I've been around him enough to know that."
That helped calm Ochaco, and she was able to focus on other things. Tenya ended up deciding to leave the stands to call his brother. Even though he was a busy Hero, Goku hoped he wasn't too busy now.

Ingenium placed his hand on the side of his helmet. "Squad A, head North. Squad B, check the West side."
He received a roger from both squads. Sirens could be heard in the distance as police cars were surrounding this district. This would prevent anyone from entering or escaping without being spotted. The Hero passed an alleyway only to stop as he had spotted his target.
"Back there." He skidded to a halt before jumping to the walls of two nearby buildings and using the engines on his arms to try and get the drop on him. "No doubt about it." Piccolo observed the Hero land in a dark alleyway before turning to face the Villain. "I've found you! Hero Killer!"
The Hero Killer looked at his prey before the two began their struggle.

Eventually, the final match of the second round was underway. Eijiro went on the offensive, but Katsuki effectively blocked him. When the red-haired boy went for a punch to the face, he got blasted by an explosion. While Eijiro was fine physically, he'd still be pushed back.
"He countered!" Mic commentated.
"HA!" Eijiro taunted. "Nice try, but that's not going to work on me Explosion Boy!"
He went back on the offensive, swinging rapidly, while Katsuki effectively continued to dodge.
"Kirishima!" Tetsutetsu cheered his friendly rival on. "Go straight for his chin! HIS CHIN!"
"What, you're rooting for him now, man?" Juzo pointed out.
Bakugo began blasting back at Eijiro more pushing him back; however, the red-haired student kept coming back around.
"Bakugo's having a heck of a time dodging Kirishima's fierce attacks!" Mic commentated.
Izuku finally came back to the stands and was watching from the entrance. "Whoa, Kacchan's really stepped up his training."
Iida returned to the bleachers and noticed his friend. "Midoriya, I take it that your surgery must have gone well. I'm glad."
"Yeah, thank you." Izuku replied. "Looks like Goku won against you while Tokoyami defeated Ashido. Sorry you lost."
"It's fine because the better student won." Tenya confirmed. "Now, Goku will be up against Todoroki after this match. I noticed him observe your match closely, so he might have learned something from it."
Midoriya looked down a bit saddened that he lost. "Yeah." He decided to change the subject. "Did Ingenium watch your match against Goku? He must be so proud of his little brother for fighting as hard as possible till the end."
"I'm not sure." Iida replied. "I called him earlier, but he was working."
"Oh, sorry." Izuku apologized.
"No, it's for the best" Tenya responded. "When we do talk, maybe I'll get to tell him that I almost took out the winner of the tournament early in the game."
Midoriya smiled taking note that his friends had full confidence in Goku winning this tournament, and that he was fine losing. The two were pulled back into reality when an explosion was heard.
Mic announced, "WOHAA! Bakugo just upped the power he's outputting, and it seems to be working this time!"
Eijiro was in pain from that last attack as Katsuki spoke up. "You've been straining to keep your body rock hard for this whole fight, right? That means you're overusing your Quirk, and you'll end up falling apart."
The explosive boy then began sending out a barrage of point-blank blasts at his opponent which battered Kirishima repeatedly.
"Too much!" Eijiro grunted.
The attack was overwhelming him as it ripped pieces of his gym outfit off. He was losing the strength needed to keep both his Quirk and guard up.
"The finishing blow! DIE!" Bakugo yelled out as he swung his arm and let out one, final explosion that sent his opponent back knocking the red head out. "There. Now, I understand why you were trying to avoid a drawn-out match with me."
"Kirishima has been knocked out!" Midnight declared. "Bakugo is the winner!"
"What are you doing idiot!?" Tetsutetsu called out. "I thought you had more guts than that Kirishima!"
"With that vicious carpet bombing, Bakugo advances to the third round." Mic announced. "Ladies and Gentlemen, our final four!" The screen showed Shoto Todoroki, Goku Shield, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Katsuki Bakugo in that order.
The crowd cheered as Goku began walking to the exit only to stop as he noticed Izuku and Iida. "Hey Izuku!" The semifinalist called out. "You look like you're back to 80%."
Midoriya lightly chuckled. "Yeah, the surgery went well, so I should be okay for now."
"Well, you did what you said you'd do." Goku pointed out. "That's what matters, and I couldn't be prouder of you."
Tenya was slightly confused but decided not to question what his classmate meant. "While I can understand you wanting to see how your friend is doing, your match is up next Goku. It's best to prepare for it especially since you're up against Todoroki."
"Yeah, I know." Goku smiled while looking rather serious. "You know, I'm feeling excited about this. It's not every day you can just take on someone with his kind of power. Provided I win, there'll be another match to look forward to."
"I must admit I am curious just how strong you are now." Tenya stated as he noted that Goku had relatively breezed by his last two matches.
"When it comes to Shoto, I might have to bust out one of two moves I worked on over the last month." Goku reasoned. "Maybe even both to win." He smiled kind of excited. "If you see a lot of energy build in my fist, or me cupping my hand, then you'll see something special."
He ran off after leaving the two boys to question what their friend meant.
Hosu
It was messy. It could hardly even be called a fight. The Hero Killer wasn't harmed in the slightest while Ingenium was lying in a puddle of his own blood. The Hero Killer certainly lived up to his title.
He spoke. "Fame…Money…That's what all you who call yourselves Heroes are really after." He took a step forward crushing the Hero's phone under his boot. "But you bastards are not Heroes… except 'him'. The only one with permission to kill me." He looked down at his handiwork. "All Might is worthy."
Upon hearing what Stain said, Piccolo knew this man could help direct the brat down the path All For One wanted. He jumped off the roof top landing behind the Hero Killer which immediately drew his attention at this new, potential threat.
The Hero Killer quickly swiped his sword, flinging the blood off the blade, before pointing it towards him. "Another false Hero. One of this Fake's Sidekicks perhaps?"
"I'm not a Fake nor a Hero." Piccolo corrected. "The truth is, I'm on the lookout for people like you. I must say, you interest me more than any other potential person I've investigated." He drew his sword from underneath the cloak. "Show me what you can do."
The Hero Killer didn't hesitate and blitzed towards Piccolo ready to make a kill. He swung the blade horizontally at his new target, but he could read the attack blocking it with ease. The Hero Killer used his free hand to grab a knife from his side and attempt to slash at close range.
Piccolo flicked his wrist and pushed the attacker back. The Hero Killer threw the knife towards him while tossing his sword in the air and grabbing another pair of knives as he did so. The green being grabbed the knife with one hand and tilted their head up to look at the sword.
Stain went on the attack throwing the other two blades towards his opponent only to have both be slashed away by his advisory's own blade. Stain rushed in, leapt, and recaptured his original sword before slicing down at his opponent.
The two of them began clashing blades and even locked them just as they heard sirens getting closer to their location. Footsteps could be heard as multiple people were calling out for Ingenium. Before the Hero Killer could get away, Piccolo picked him up and flew off.
He was quick to land on a nearby roof before dropping the Hero Killer. Stain landed and quickly observed his surroundings before looking back at his assailant. He let the Hero Killer check where they were before snapping their fingers.
"Your technique is just as notable as your physical prowess." Piccolo stated. "Couple that with the Quirk I observed, and you are quite the threat." He sheathed his blade before walking away. "Don't go too far because my 'boss' will probably want to see you soon."
He was then quick to leave.
The only thing I think I need to talk about here is Piccolo. If the fight with Stain wasn't going to be interrupted, he'd have sheathed the sword and taken the fight up a notch. I will say that Stain is by far the better weapons guy which also would have been shown had the fight continued. Given Tensei was right there, it created a bit of a problem in that people were going toobviously be coming.
Monster King: You got it.
Guest: Not sure what disturbed you.
ArguableReader: I agree with you on Ochaco. Yeah, Bakugo had a long road to travel to become the person he currently is in current My Hero content.
3bodyjaa: Thanks.
Sosuke Aizen - ' - S: Thanks
