John's Birthday
John's birthday was the 10th September making him one of the oldest in the year. Since his birthday fell on a Friday he was planning a sleepover and few good movies and a few pizzas at his home.
"I can bring some eighteens." Said Allan at once thinking about the the films they could watch. "And maybe I can get my hands on some alcohol as well….."
"Do you want a live time ban?" asked John at once "My dad will get us some… but only a can each….." John shrugged a little "It's better than nothing and I don't want to go behind his back..."
"Is Roy coming?" asled Robin, it had been months since he had seen Roy. Roy was John cousin and used to go to school with them but moved a few years ago to Lincoln.
John nodded his head "Yeah, he will take the train down for the weekend." John trun to Will "Are you still grounded?" he asked.
Will nodded his head. He got in big trouble from his father about that fight – even if the fight it self wasn't a big one. "I'll talk to dad. Maybe he'll let me go..." Said Will but he didn't sound too hopeful.
Allan rolled his eye "You have to come, we never get to see Roy anymore….."
"So," said Much changing the subject back to films "What films do you want to watch?"
John shrugged at little - he didn't really mind what they watched. "Maybe pirates of the caribbeans, Avengers, batman….that sort of thing..." Allan rolled his eyes and mouth the word boring.
A few days before his birthday John was beginning to reget he's choice and wonder if he should cancel, Allan was planning on a way to sneck in more alcohol and Robin was planning on pranking Roy. Much wanted to test out a new vegan receipe he had found on them. "Maybe I should just cancel the whole thing.." he said dueing English one day.
"You better not," said Will looking up from his work "Do you know how long it took to convice Dad to let me go? I'm doing an extra week of being grounded…I'm not doing a extra week for nothing..."
"It could go very wrong," pointed out John "You know what the others are like….." Will nodded his head in agreement. Things could get out of hand and get over the top very easily.
"Well," said Will "Whatever happens can't be as bad as Robin's Birthday last year...…." John had to agree with that one.
….….
John's birthday come and after school Robin, Much and Allan all went straight to John's house to get ready. Will had to do his paper rouned first but was joining them after he was done. Roy who was on the train texted John to tell him not to start the film without him, The four firend starts to set up the living room with their sleeping bags and ordered some food. Will turned up followed shortly by Roy.
"Hey Munchies cheese boy , hey Lavender boy," Roy greeted Much and John with annoying nicknames he had made up for everyone "Hey Dodger, hey scarecrow…. Hey John happy birthday dude…"
"How come John doesn't get a nickname?" Mumble Much
"Because I don't want him to sit on me" said Roy "And I like him more than the rest of you... his my cousin, blood is thinker than water and all that …." One thing about Roy he always tells the truth how he see it.
They all eat the pizza while watching the hunger games films, then once John parents were upstairs Allan pulled out the film chid play from his bag "So, who up for this?" he asked with a wicked grin.
"Do you want Much to get nightmares?" asked Robin in a joking manner. But everyone knew Much hated horror and thrillers films.
"I suggest locking him in the cupboard." Said Roy at once
"I second that," said Allan rising his hand
"I will not be put in a cupboard." said Much getting fed up always being the bottom of his friends jokes. In the end they didn't put Much in the cupboard as they watched Child Play – but a part of them wished that they did. Much was watching the film looking less happy by the second.
It was the early hours in the morning them they fell asleep. The next day they spend playing video games then playing a rough games of football in the park. One by one the outlaws all returned home part from Roy who wasn't returning until Sunday.
John thought to himself - all in all it hadn't been a bad birthday.
