Unmei Force Shattered Heroes: Creative Power
Chapter 1: Brawl in the Forest
The group decided to explore the area first, as they found that the entire area was fairly realistic, as there were platforms made of green vines, and there were even little white birds fluttering about, with little yellow feather crowns on their heads.
"Look at those birds, they're just adorable!" Heiwa exclaimed.
They soon dropped down, as they encountered a human-sized robot with leafy arms, a blue striped body, wheels under its rotund body, and a large cotton head which had a playful circle-eyed expression on it.
"What is that? It looks harmless… but, it's still an enemy…" Popol remarked, before Boki shot it, as parts of its head began to break off, spurting small floating seeds that had the same kind of face, which alerted Popol and Heiwa, as they destroyed it.
Meanwhile, Boki collected the pink power-up that it dropped, with the symbol of a eight spoked wheel, as Boki's colour changed to pink as well. When she dropped down to fire, she fired pink darts that burst into a spread of smaller darts around the entire area, upon hitting either obstacle or enemy.
"Huh, this might be useful for getting any enemies that love to run or hide…" Boki commented, as Popol destroyed a small robot that looked like a walking fan air-conditioner, as it dropped a power-up that looked like a bear's paw, as Popol's spear glowed a blue shining aura.
"Woah, I can feel the power coursing through me!" Popol exclaimed, as he went towards a mechanical sheep robot, as he unleashed the power, as he rose into the air with a mighty rising swing that left behind a dark-blue trail, as it knocked the robot into the air, and destroyed it with a mighty blast. "...This is an awesome and great power!"
Heiwa wasted no time in finishing the stage, as she used a mix of Force and Explode again to fire off explosive homing fireballs that sought the last of the enemies, and destroyed them. As soon as they were gone, the three of them were thrown into the next area, which was a large vertical climb.
"Constructs are made of metal, but they're often patterned after organic life-forms." Savant explained to the group. "Some of them have adapted to the local environment to gain a tactical advantage."
"Huh, you mean like those stupid bunny and sheep robots?" Boki questioned back with a tilt of her head.
"Well, no…" Savant remarked, with a slightly unsure tone. "Those ones are just bizarre. I do have to wonder just who designs these things."
"Doesn't matter, they might have some good adaptations, but we're better!" Popol declared with spirit.
"Yeah!" Heiwa agreed with some determination in her voice and eyes.
The three of them gained the green Cyclone power-ups from the diminutive AC robots, as they fired wind blast after wind blast into the air, as Boki gained Plasma and Bounce to create rising blasts that split off into bouncing laser beams, as she used it to quickly clear the stage, and move onto the next one, which was a large area filled with enemies.
"This area is absolutely crawling with Constructs. This might prove to be quite a challenge." Savant warned the group.
"But if we get a lot of power-ups from them, we should be able to clear them quickly, right?" Heiwa asked back.
"Yeah, meow! I'm not too worried, more enemies, more powers for me to copy!" Boki eagerly agreed.
"Indeed, you all seem to be catching on quite quickly." Savant remarked.
Boki immediately picked a combination of Cyclone, Explode and Split from the nearby enemies, as she began to fire off red tornados that burst into a cross-formation of larger tornados that tore through the enemies, while Heiwa used Split and Bounce to create a massive swarm of bouncing fireballs that pelted enemies everywhere, killing the smaller ones, and damaging the larger ones for Boki to finish off.
Suddenly, they found themselves in a square-shaped arena, as a large white creature with a spherical body, blue energy wings, a wispy blue trail under its body, and blue pixelated mouth and eyes with purple pixel irises, appeared, as its irises turned green, and sent out a green scanning pulse that searched the entire area.
"What the… Is it… trying to read the area around us?" Boki remarked, before it then crossed its wings, as a mass of green pixels converged on it, turning its body wood-coloured, with green eyes and red irises, as well as its energy trails turning green with hues of red floating inside.
Polymorphic Invader
Yoggval (Forest Mode)
It then proceeded to attack the group by zipping around in a mass of pixels, before ramming them from different directions, leaving behind large energy waves that spread across any walls or floors it hit, or launching green flower bombs that tried to hone on the group. However, those flower bombs also dropped Explode power-ups that the group picked up.
Popol went aggressive, as he jumped over one of Yoggval's ram attacks on the floor, before launching a series of rapid strikes, while Boki and Heiwa supported with explosive fireballs and energy bombs. As soon as it tried to release another set of flower bombs, Boki hit it with several more energy bombs, defeating it, as its transformation was knocked out, and it exploded.
"That was easy!" Boki exclaimed, before they were moved onto the next stage, where they found themselves standing before a large water hole, that seemed to stretch out further underneath the water.
They all entered it, as Boki used a pre-loaded Lightning power-up to scatter empowered lightning bolts that surged through the water and hit the enemies, which she changed into a spread of arcing lightning bolts that bounced through the water with the addition of Wave and Bounce. Heiwa used Lightning and Explode to replicate Boki's version of the mix with fireballs instead, as she jumped out of one of the exits on the surface, and bombarded a group of enemies, consisting of blue-haired mermaid robots with long tendril like hair, some bouncing bunny robots, and a large mechanical flower with a bright glow that seemed to repair the nearby robots, and destroy them in quick haste.
The next stage was a longer maze in the water, as they made use of the Wave power to get the enemies through the maze, while Popol got Quick in addition to the power, giving him a massive spread of ice particles that froze and cracked any enemies that were bombarded by them. With it, he hunted down the enemies and destroyed them with ease.
"By the way, am I just going to be fighting ordinary Constructs the whole time? What about… you know, the Cybers?" Boki asked Savant in the middle of the stage transition.
"The Cybers are a truly diabolical force, seeking to obtain and exploit the powers of entanma for their nefarious purposes." Savant explained. "Battling them directly is not something to be taken lightly. For now, practicing against their robotic minions should be sufficient. As you will see very soon, even mere Constructs are not to be underestimated."
The group found themselves in a small room filled with the AC robots, as they destroyed them, acquiring the same power-up Popol got from them a few stages ago, as they rolled out of the room, before using the new-found power to throw blue energy blasts everywhere, and throwing rising strikes with their various weapons and means, as the stage was completed with little difficulty.
Eventually, they found themselves in another boss room, as the combination robot was surrounded by a mix of the forest enemies they fought earlier, consisting of the cotton headed robots and their robotic seed offspring, the sheep robots, small insectile robots. When the combination was complete, a large skittering insectile robot with a brown camo paint body, and a large green orb on its prehensile tail, was created, as it began to skitter about.
Insectile Bioweapon
Vaerzet
The group tried to attack it head-on, only for their attacks to be deflected with little ease. The robot then fired off a large green vine, as it crawled up along it, reaching the ceiling. As it did, it then stopped, before extending its tail towards the group, as the large orb trembled after closing the distance, before letting off a triple-burst of rosy whips, before dropping a power-up, that had a dagger entwined with vines.
Popol picked it up, as his spear changed entirely, into a vine-like spear. He then thrust it out, as the tip extended, before swinging it about, as it worked like a whip. Popol then eyed the Vaerzet, before he then began to attack its orb, as it exploded into a mess of seed robots, but also dislodging the large robot, and dropping a power-up, which had the face of the seed robots.
Boki picked it up, before she then fired several copies of the large biological orb at the robot, as they exploded, turning into pink ethereal versions of the seed robots, which whittled away on the robot, while Popol was abusing it with repeated swings of his new whip-spear, before it returned to normal after the power ran out. At that time, the Vaerzet reformed the biological orb, as its barrier returned.
The process managed to repeat, until the Vaerzet was knocked to the ground, seemingly defeated, before it then rose again, before overcharging its orbs intently, as Heiwa realised the danger.
"Stay back!" Heiwa declared, as she launched up a barrier of fire, as it prevented them from being scorched by the explosive flames that burst from the exploding orb, as it lit a majority of the forest alight, while the robot itself was burning. "...The forest…"
"...We won't let it run rampant for long!" Popol exclaimed, as they assaulted it, dodging the flaming vines it threw, turning into falling flame drops, as well as the trail of blue explosive orbs it threw on each ramming motion it did on the floor. They made use of the dropped Explode power-ups to give the robot a taste of its own medicine, as it was destroyed, although the group were fairly exhausted from the ordeal.
"Well, we won…" Boki stated, before Savant appeared.
"Yes, and your fight caused a forest fire in the process." Savant spoke with a disappointed tone.
"How did you expect us to deal with that?" Popol asked back, slightly irritated. "That robot did that by itself, and we couldn't find a way to stop it before it did… this."
"Whether it was by your hands or not, this is the result of your fight. A real hero knows that all actions have lasting consequences." Savant answered back, before turning to Boki. "Do well to remember that."
"You mean it's not going to just go away after the level's over?" Boki asked, before Heiwa bopped Boki gently with the brush. "...What is it?"
"Mr Savant is right." Heiwa explained back. "We have to find a way to fix this. It's not fair for the residents of this forest to let the fires continue like this… Is there anyway to fix this?"
"Considering that the Vaerzet caused this fire on purpose, even though there's a Cyber base nearby, they must have some way to defend the base from these flames." Savant remarked. "So find their Temperature Control Device and use it to stop the fire!"
"We're on it!" Popol declared, as Savant nodded slightly, before disappearing, as the stage shifted into a horizontal corridor, as there were gaps in the floor, showing the fiery lava floor created from the massive forest-fire. "...That's not good."
"Do you think…" Heiwa stated, as she shot a fire-ball into the lava, as it exploded violently into a pillar of rising lava, startling the young kitsune. "Wah!"
"That means we have to be careful. But on the bright-side, we can turn this against the Constructs!" Boki remarked, as she picked up an Explode power-up, before firing several explosive bombs into the lava nearby some of the enemy robots, as the rising lava pillars melted the metal creatures down. "See?"
Heiwa nodded, as Popol used his ice powers to protect any of the group's stray projectiles from accidentally kicking up any fiery pillars in their way, while Heiwa and Boki used their own powers to use the tactic to slowly pick off the robots one by one, until the stage was clear of them.
The next stage was a arena, as they were forced to traverse the arena to deal with enemies on all sides, while Heiwa began to use a combination of Wave, Quick, and Tornado to immediately create a spinning tornado blast from each swing of her brush, which burst into a series of flames when they contacted the enemy, as she used it to quickly eradicate the enemies, and get them through to the next stage.
They found themselves standing on a series of vines, as the ground below them was lava, which startled the trio slightly, before they then looked around, and found themselves with several of the small fan-bearing robots, as a merger bot appeared on the other side, combining the machines into a massive humanoid robot, with a boxed fan-head, a blocky torso with fire and ice symbols and a golden painted belt, and synthetic-skinned muscled arms, connected to a pair of missile-head arms, one orange for fire, and one blue for ice.
"What is that-" Popol asked, before the robot then began to flex into several dramatic poses, flexing its arms strongly with each motion, which bewildered the group. "...That's one muscly robot."
"It doesn't matter! We're taking it down!" Boki exclaimed.
Thermal Champion
Yolomacho
The robot then immediately fired its orange arm at them, as it bounced off the walls of the arena, while using its central body fan to try and suck the group in. The group tried to attack the head of the machine, although it wasn't doing much damage.
After the arm bounced for a while, the entire area changed, as the lava changed into water, and the vines turned brittle, cracking under their weight, dropping them into the shallow water, before the robot immediately fired a wave of icy tornadoes at the group.
Popol immediately deflected the tornadoes with a hefty swing of his spear, while Boki picked up the Explode power-up that was dropped by the arm that was destroyed by the sudden change, as the robot began to float up, trying to body-slam them, only for them to dodge quickly, and then slam their attacks into the robot while it was prone.
When it got up, it resummoned its orange missile arm, before firing the blue one, and sucking the group in again. As if they predicted what was going to happen, the group then jumped, just as the ground turned back into lava, while the vines regrew, as Boki collected the power-up she got from breaking the blue arm, as she began to use the combined power to fire bouncing explosive projectiles at the head of the large machine.
The machine tried to ram into them, and even uppercut them with a flaming aura around its fist that burned the vines it touched, although Popol managed to land on the head of the robot and repeatedly stab it on the head, before he was thrown off with a swing of its arm to dislodge him.
As the temperature changed rapidly, the group slowly whittled down the simple yet powerful robot down, before Heiwa used a charged explosive fire-ball to blow the head of the robot off, as its head-less body clattered to the ground, as the environment turned back to normal, with the grass, flowers and trees regrowing, with sunlight shining down upon them through the gap, as if in celebration of their victory.
"We did it!" Heiwa exclaimed with glee. "The forest is saved!"
"Excellent job beating that boss, Boki and company. Such muscles are not easily surmounted." Savant remarked.
"Pft, he has muscles, but that's not the most muscled person I've seen. Siege is several times more bulky than this robot, disregarding the size!" Popol scoffed.
"Yeah, meow! That thing was just a bunch of rubber abs and hot air. Give us our next mission!" Boki boasted as well.
"Very well. Your next objective is a rather significant one." Savant explained. "The Cybers have taken over a large industrial complex, and are using it to produce their evil Constructs. You should begin with the chemical plant on the outskirts of their base. And then you can shut down the factory in the centre! Good luck!"
Suddenly, the path ahead opened, revealing a way out of the forest, into the smoky chemical plants on the horizon.
"I wonder what we're going to face there… But with good companions, it's going to be easy!" Boki remarked with spirit.
"...Yeah, this is pretty fun! I wish I could have these kinds of powers. It's super awesome!" Heiwa exclaimed.
Popol nodded, while Boki felt a little flattered at how Heiwa held such high regard for her powers, as they continued towards the chemical plants ahead.
