Kagome woke up first that morning, bringing a hand to Kunimitsu's shoulder, she shook him awake. His glasses were askew from having fallen asleep with them on.

"What time is it?"

"...early," muttering as she stood and left the study room, she felt sore, and her back ached. Sleeping in the chair at the desk was not the best idea. "I should make breakfast. Ah, kaasan has dishes in the fridge!" She walked into the kitchen and was quick to brows their fridge inventory.

"Anything interesting."

"...our moms are awesome." She stood up straight and brought both hands together before bowing her head, "thank you, kaasan! Thank you, Tezuka's kaasan!"

He watched her before retiring to the bathroom for a shower.

'I hope I packed enough for Tezuka-San. I'm not sure what his normal eating habits are.' Kagome walked instep quietly next to Kunimitsu, neither paying attention to the stares of their fellow classman as they came up to the school. Kagome heaved a breath.

"Ohayo Seito Kaichou!"

Without missing a beat, Kagome turned and smiled at a group of students, "Mina-san ohayōgozaimasu!" She bowed.

"Higurashi-Kaichou,"

Eyes turning up, she grinned, "Hoshi-San, how is your morning going so far?"

"..." he looked curiously at Kunimitsu, then turned his attention back to Kagome, "it's going. What are you doing after school today?"

"Same thing as you, Student Council meeting."

"And after?"

"Nothing yet,"

"Great, then you won't be opposed to karaoke."

Kagome laughed, "I can't stay out late, but sure." Not sticking around to say anything more, she watched the Student Council Secretary leave. "Oh, I still need to get the school activities list! I'll see you later, Tezuka-San."

"Tezuka-Kun!"

Watching Kagome runoff, he turned back, waiting as Eiji ran up to him with Shuusuke by his side. "Ohayo,"

"Ohayo," Shuusuke eyed the student council president, "you came to school with Higurashi-San today?"

Closing his eyes, he started towards the tennis courts. "Hai,"

"Eh!?" Eiji looked around back and forth before turning his attention to his Buchou, "Tezuka-Buchou, are you and Higurashi-Kaichou...dating?"

"Iie,"

Eyeing him, Shuusuke gave him a slight nudge, "Hey, what's on your mind."

"Later, we can talk at Takahashi-San's."

"SUSHI!"

Changing into her school uniform, she pushed her hands along the top and into the waistline of her skirt, then pulled her hair from the ponytail she'd had it in.

Taking her volleyball uniform from the bench and folding it, Kagome placed it neatly in her bag. "Right! Time for our first meeting, and then...Karaoke!"

The girls turned and watched Kagome as she left them staring after her. Walking out, she ran into the Student Council Treasurer and Student Council Historian. "Taijya-San, Hitomi-San, are you both heading to the Council room?"

"Hai!"

"Higurashi-San, Miroku told me that he brought all the club's budgets and the schools' margin for an increase, would you be okay with me looking over them?"

"Sure,"

Walking to the club room for the Student Council, the group entered to see Miroku and Kunimitsu already sitting down, both staring silently at one another.

Hitomi tilted his head down, "is something wrong?"

Kagome wasn't sure, but she didn't want to start anything either. Walking forward, she set her bag down on her chair as Hitomi and Taijya took their seats across from one another. Bringing her hand down firmly, she smiled when the four jumped and turned their attention to her, "welcome to the first Student Council Meeting of Seigaku High! Before we start, I'd like for everyone to stand up and introduce themselves to the group. Name, age, and share something interesting about yourself. I'd also like for you to tell me what you hope to accomplish as part of the Student Council."

"Accomplish?"

Thinking about how best to word it, Kagome smiled, "as the student council, it's our responsibility to implicate the policies and standards of our fellow students. However, these policies were all imparted to us from previous council members. Those who brought something to this school and found a way to better the school. Even if there isn't anything you want to change, if there's something that you want to emphasize, I'd like to hear it."

"Higurashi-San, perhaps you should start."

She gave a small nod at Kunimitsu's suggestion. "Higurashi, Kagome, I'm fifteen, my birthday is December third, so I think I'm the youngest person here..." she blushed, thinking about how she probably didn't need to mention that. "Ah, I'm part of the Volleyball Club, been playing for eight years! As for what I'd like to accomplish. I want to implement a new program at this school that encourages Community among the students. For me, I was raised on a shrine, so I had very few chances to reach out and get to know the people in the city. This would provide students with experiences that stress responsibility, self-confidence, self-accomplishment, dedication, respect, and integrity."

The group stared for a moment, then Kunimitsu spoke again. "What kind of activities."

"Deciding as a school on a charity, and then during allotted times, clubs can choose among different activities to take part in to raise money for this charity. Our Treasurer would work diligently with the club managers to make sure all proceedings go towards the charity as this program is non-profit and requires no funds to proceed forward. Such events can include the following," lifting a finger as she started naming off ideas, "for the baking club, a bake sale is one idea. For the crafts and sewing clubs, making bracelets and small novelty items, they can also collaborate with the sports clubs and put on free to see games where small venues can be set up selling these items. Our musical clubs could put on a live concert, a 5K run maybe, or a Fashion Show...the possibilities are endless. It doesn't sound easy, but so long as the cause remains forefront, I think it's quite possible to implement this idea, moving forward."

Kunimitsu took a careful breath as Kagome sat down, his eyes not leaving her as he thought about just how long she'd been thinking about this. Standing, he cleared his throat, "Vice President, Tezuka, Kunimitsu, in middle school I was the Captain of the Seigaku Tennis club, and now I'm playing as a Regular for the Seigaku High School Tennis Club. I'm fifteen. My goals for this club weren't originally so prominent and well-defined as Higurashi-Sans are. I joined because I knew that the Student Council looked good on College Applications. Period. However, I would like to see Higurashi-Sans Charity Group implemented in its entirety. Moving forward, I will work hard with everyone here to see it through."

Kagome felt her cheeks flush as Kunimitsu bowed. After a few seconds, he sat down but didn't look her way. Instead, he turned his attention to Taijya, who was next to him.

"Treasurer, Taijya, Sango! Fifteen, I'll be sixteen in June. I am part of the Kendo Club and Track Team. Have been doing both for nearly seven years, and I have no plans on stopping anytime soon. I like the idea of implementing a Charity Program, but I think it would be a good idea to assign allotted timecards for community service outside of school too. A list of community service opportunities can be handed out to all the homeroom classes, and a decisive twelve or fifteen hours every term would be recommended, though not required of students. This could also be used as extra credit. Volunteer work at the Elderly Homes, or Children's Hospital, helping the Animal Shelters and Veterans." Sango sat down.

"I think we may be overloading the students with their good deeds; however, I think we can merge it all into one giant program if we take time to think about it. Oh! Student Council Historian; Hitomi, Kagewaki, fifteen. I'm part of the Photography club, and my brother claims I was born with a camera in my hand. My mother doesn't deny this."

Sango and Kagome both laughed a bit. Meeting one another's eyes, they turned their attention back to Kagewaki.

"I have no long-term goals as the Historian; I just want to be able to record our school's most precious moments."

Nodding her head, Kagome smiled, "Hitomi-San went to my middle school, and was responsible for the Yearbook photos last year. I was really happy looking back at all of the photos from the years club activities."

Ducking his head, a faint blush formed across his cheeks. "A-Arigatou." He sat back down.

"Hoshi, Miroku, Student Council Secretary. I'm fifteen, and a longtime advocate of Japanese Historical Literature and part of the Gourmet and Homestyle Cooking Clubs. I didn't join this club with a mindset to achieve big goals. Like Hitomi-San pointed out, both Taijya-San's and Higurashi-San's goals are too large to both be brought to pass, however―"

"I didn't say they were too large,"

Miroku looked at Kagewaki, watching the taller male duck his head again. "However, thinking it over, rather than implementing an allotted number of hours for community service, homeroom classes will be required to participate in volunteer work as a class, one day out of a term. This can be done one Saturday out of the term. Meanwhile, working as a Charity Group, we should consider a prize for the most collected funds. In other words, it is the club's own volition to participate, should they decide to, they can come to us with their suggestions for earning money, we will help them where we can."

Miroku paused to make sure everyone was still following before glancing back down at the paper in his hands. "At the end of the school year, we will hold an announcement during the end of year ceremony that first, tells the school how much was earned as a total, and second, which club earned the most. The club that earned the most will earn something that will go towards their club. Budget increase, or a summer vacation trip to a hot spring. We can talk that over with the Principal and see what we can do." Miroku looked up from his notes and took a seat.

"..."

He stood up once more, "and we should avoid activities that involve animals, in case some students prove to be allergic." Then sat back down.

Clearing her throat, Kagome smiled, "That was incredibly detailed. I think we'll be able to move forward earlier than expected with these ideas now. On more important news, it was brought to my attention that Physical Exams are this Thursday, we'll send a reminder out to teachers to bring it up today, and tomorrow." She directed this to Kunimitsu, who was already pulling out the laptop that was assigned to their club. "There's not much else in April for us to worry about, so let's focus on the current clubs and their budgets and then getting the Charity and Volunteer Group up and started."

"Hai, Seitokaichou!"
