Somewhere, deep in a forest in Musutafu, Japan. Four children, all of fourteen years of age, walk through a beaten path. All of them had been friends since they were babies, their parents all being close friends since they were in highschool.
"Setsuna! Wait up!" A short brown-haired girl, with eyes the same color called out as she tripped over an upturned root.
"It's not my fault that you can't keep up," a girl with braided green hair, and green eyes Setsuna Tokage, giggled back, "Besides, we're almost there."
"It's not a race," another girl with purple hair, and headphone jacks dangling from her ears, Kyouka Jirou, reprimanded as she helped Ochako up.
"It always is with her," another child, a boy with hair and eyes the same color as Setsuna's named Izuku Midoriya chuckled from a bit further behind the three.
The group continued onwards, eventually straying from the path towards a large clearing in the trees.
"Where is the hatch again?" Setsuna asked with a confused look on her face.
Izuku chuckled to himself, "Seven steps forward, three steps to the right," he said before squatting down, brushing some leaves aside, and yanking on a metal chain that was attached to a wooden hatch. Revealing an underground room, stuffed with all manner of books, snacks, and a few hammocks and bean bag chairs.
Izuku jumped down first, landing on a slightly dusty mattress, soon Setsuna followed, then Kyouka, and finally Ochako.
Unfortunately, Ochako just so happened to land in a position that had her laying directly on top of Izuku, causing giant blushes to spawn on both of their faces, Kyouka snickered in a corner, and Setsuna wolf-whistled.
The group then split up; Kyouka and Setsuna grabbed a set of cards and started a game of blackjack, Ochako grabbed some random cheesy romance novel, and Izuku opted for a comic book about a billionaire that dressed like a bat to fight crime.
The sole male of the group flopped down in one of the bean bag chairs, immediately hissing as his back came in contact with the leather, drawing the attention of the three other people in the small bunker.
"What's wrong?" Ochako asked, concern lacing her voice.
"Nothing, just sat down weird is all," Izuku tried to wave off their concern.
Kyouka glared at him before her earjacks extended out, wrapped around his wrist, and pulled him to his feet, while she walked behind him and pulled up his shirt.
"I fucking knew it!" she yelled angrily as she saw that large red burns on his back.
"What?"
"That fucking blond prick has been burning him again!" Kyouka ranted.
"Remind me again why we don't just tie him up and throw him in a gutter?" Ochako asked as she set her book down.
"Guys really, it's nothing."
"Oh yeah, that's why," Ochako groaned.
Setsuna clicked her tongue and relaxed back in her hammock, "One of these days you're not gonna be able to stop us from beating him until he's crippled."
"I know," Izuku sighed, even a blind man could tell that these three had almost reached their limit when it came to his most frequent abuser, "But for now let's just relax. That's the reason for this place, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is," Setsuna reluctantly agreed.
'One more strike, and that bastard's dead meat' the girls thought simultaneously as they went back to the original activities.
Eventually, as the Sun began to set, the quartet left their hideout and began their trek back through the woods, it wasn't long before they came out of the forest and onto a seemingly empty playground.
"Man the test we have tomorrow is gonna suck," Kyouka groaned.
"But I thought math was your best subject?" Ochako asked.
"It's just the subject that I suck at the least," the purple-haired girl deadpanned.
"I can help you study," Izuku offered, it wasn't that hard to meet up during the night considering that they all lived in the same area, "I'm pretty good at ma-" before he could finish, a hand grabbed him by his hair and yanked him backwards.
"The fuck were you doing in my woods, Deku?" A gravelly voice asked.
"N-nothing Kacchan, I was just taking a walk I swear!" Izuku stammered out as he struggled against the hand of Katsuki Bakugou.
"The one place I can go to get away from quirkless freaks like you and you're tainting it with your uselessness," Katsuki spat.
There it was, the word that Izuku despised with everything in him: quirkless. Nothing but a cruel reminder of the curse that the universe had stuck him with.
Suddenly, a pink aura surrounded Katsuki, and he began to float in the air, he angrily twisted around just in time for a disembodied fist to collide with his stomach, the pink aura disappeared and he fell back to the ground.
"Just you wait Deku, I know that tomorrow; Round Face has some science thing, Earlobes has guitar lessons, and Frankenstein has gymnastics. Which means that you won't have anybody to protect your worthless ass. Better start digging your grave, because you're dead come tomorrow!" Katsuki yelled as he dusted himself off and stomped away.
"Are you ok?" Ochako quickly asked as she pulled him to his feet.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Izuku mumbled, his voice had gone from upbeat to downtrodden in a matter of minutes, "Actually, Mom asked me to go and pick something up for her. So you guys can go on ahead without me."
"Are you sure?" Setsuna questioned.
"Positive." The freckled boy answered while stuffing his hands into his hoodie pockets.
The four said their goodbyes and went in different directions. In truth, Izuku didn't need to pick anything up, but he did need time to think. So, as he walked alone down the much longer route to his house, he allowed his brain to wander to darker places.
'Maybe he's right, maybe I am just useless?'
'Are the other three just hanging around me because they pity me?'
'...Should I just give up on being a hero?'
Izuku stopped dead in his tracks, his hand balled into a fist and he cast his gaze upwards with a determined look on his face. "No, I'm gonna be a hero, no matter what! Nothing is gonna stop me-" Izuku was cut off as he felt a sharp sting to the back of his neck, he reached back and pulled a rather large syringe from his neck.
He began to quickly feel woozy, and his veins began to burn, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. Colors bled together and noises became muffled.
Before he fully passed out, he did manage to make out a man standing over him, he heard the man sigh before, softly saying to himself, "This is the part of the job I hate the most," the man then stood up and yelled out to a group of unknown individuals, "Alright, load him up boys!"
Izuku's everything hurt, his head was fuzzy and his entire body felt extremely weak, he was glad he was strapped to a chair or else he might just fall flat on his face...
Wait.
Izuku began to shake his limbs violently in an attempt to remove the straps that held him to the cold metal chair.
"Ah, I see you are awake," a sophisticated male voice said from his side. Izuku lifted his half-lidded eyes to see a young, brown-eyed man wearing a dark gray turtleneck under a white lab coat.
Izuku was so out of it that he could only make noises of confusion in response.
The man smiled, "The toxin must still be in effect, Yōhei, give him the antidote," he commanded. Another man, this one slightly familiar, stepped up to Izuku's side and made a jabbing motion with his arm, Izuku felt a sharp pain shoot through his body before his senses came back to him in full, and he began to feel a strange sense of rejuvenation.
Izuku also took a few seconds to look at his surroundings, he was in some kind of a room, the walls around him painted pure white and a door sitting behind the young man in front of him.
"Better?" The man in the lab coat asked.
"W-w-who are you?" Izuku asked, not even bothering to hide the horror in his voice.
"We are a government funded agency focused on finding and containing citizens who have quirks that are simply too powerful to allow them to simply roam free," the man explained.
Izuku rattled around in his chair once more, he was getting unusually angry, "Then why am I here?! I'm quirkless!"
"We required somebody to watch over some of the younger members of this facility, you just happened to be the poor sap that we found first," the brown-eyed man laughed.
Izuku felt his rage swell within the depths of his stomach, his skin started to burn as he struggled against the leather straps binding him to the chair, "You can't do this to me, I don't deserve this!"
"Who says you do, but we carry the authority in this situation. I highly suggest that you get comfortable, because you shall be here for a very long time," the man was borderline cackling at this point.
Izuku let out an uncharacteristic scream of rage as his eyes shifted from emerald green, to blood red in an instant, red steam began to rise from his pores as he ripped the straps from his arms and legs. Izuku screamed once more before launching himself in the air, his rage was shoving his rational side to a far corner of his mind as he balled his fists together and brought his fists down on the petrified young man.
Izuku could feel the spray of blood pepper his face as the man's head caved into his torso, only his hair and the slightest bit of his eyes being visible.
Izuku's eyes returned to normal as the shock of what he just did hit him, he stumbled back and blubbered out words of horror and apologies. He turned his head slightly to the right and was met with the butt of a gun.
When Izuku came to once again, his limp body was being dragged down a white hallway. He tried to move, only to find his hands bound by a rope. The clamoring of people inside the rooms that lined the hall felt like nails being hammered into his skull.
Izuku didn't even process that they had stopped until he was thrown into one of the rooms and pinned to the floor, he felt something slice through the ropes on his wrists before hearing the door behind him slam shut.
The green-haired boy lay against the cold floor for what felt like hours before he found the strength to push himself up. A small, silent sniffle brought his attention to the corner, where a group of five small girls, no older than four, sat huddled against a wall.
The first was a girl with red eyes, long white hair, and a small horn protruding from the left side of her forehead.
The second and third were two girls that looked almost exactly alike, from their black hair tied up in a ponytail, to their black sclerae, the only clear difference being that one had green irises and the other had hazel.
The fourth was a fairly average looking girl with black hair in a pixie cut, and purple eyes with pupils in the shape of stars.
And the last girl had dark blue scales covering her neck, some of her arms, and a small part of her ear, she had brown hair in a braid that rested over her shoulder, and a pair of dark blue, leathery wings folded behind her back.
"Are you here to take us to the testing?" The scaled girl asked with a quiver in her voice.
"T-testing?" Izuku asked back
The five girls didn't answer. The six of them just sat in silence before the green-eyed girl began to wail.
"I want my daddy!" she cried out as her fat tears began to roll down her cheek. Her crying acted as a catalyst for the other girls and they too began to cry heavily.
Izuku began to panic and did the only thing he could think of to try and calm the girls, he wrapped all five of them in a hug and quietly shushed them, whispering words of reassurance that everything would be ok.
Eventually, Izuku felt the girls pass out in his arms one by one. He noticed that there were five beds set up in the room, one for each of the girls. He very awkwardly stood up with the girls in his arms and began to tuck them underneath their blankets.
Izuku didn't see a sixth bed, so with a groan of exhaustion, he sat down in a corner and allowed himself to drift to sleep in the place where he would live for the next four years.
Ok, so before you murder me for what I've just done, I'd like to say that Saturday or Sunday (depends on when it gets edited) I'm gonna have another new story up. And this time it's a P5 crossover. That's it for now, Peace.
