Steven holds very still, trying to ignore the pain in his shoulders where the metal cuts into his skin, unable to see anything around him. He wasn't sure how strong the building on top of him was, and he didn't know if there was anyone inside. Water pours down from broken pipes, now up to his ankle.

"Kid, you in there!?" he hears a man yell.

"Yea! I don't know how sturdy the building is though!" steven yells back.

"Mt ladys clearing everyone out as fast as she can, just try to keep holding it up!"

"Can do!" He yells back, hearing fighting from outside, the building shaking above him just focusing on keeping the building upright, the sound of fighting echoing from outside as shockwaves cause the building to shift making Steven's task more and more difficult.

"Last one kid, we'll get you out in a minute just hold on." he hears a masculin voice yell.

"All clear!" mt lady calls.

"We're going to try to dig you out kid, I saw your shield at the sports festival. Do you think you can get one big enough to hide under?"

"Just get back, and get mount lady ready to crush the building down so it doesn't fall!" he yells back, hearing yelling for everyone but Mt Lady to retreat.

"Whatever you're going to do kid, do it now." she yells down and steven shoves the building up and off of his shoulders using his superspeed and a pointed shield to launch himself out of the ruble and into the air above the battle hearing mount lady slam the building back down violently as steven floats in the air seeing miriko using her advanced mobility to keep the villain off her game and contained to the already ruined city block. He lets himself drop, not bothering to slow his fall as he lands cracking the street and pushes off forward, gouging up giant chunks of asphalt, meeting the villian just as miriko was about to kick her in the skull, slamming his shoulder into her chest and wrapping his arms around her torso pushing off the ground and launching the two of them into the sky, intending to bury her in the ground.

"Let me go!" she yells slamming her fists into his back hard enough to break a normal

man's spine, and steven notices he's not falling yet that he's still going up and up, and then he remembers his fights with jasper, realizing what his powerup had done to his floating ability. Flight.

"LET ME GO!: she yells, black waves on energy lashing out against steven, throwing him off as they rise higher and higher, the air getting thinner and thinner the woman getting more and more panicked as she struggles to get a full breath, using up the energy she had stolen her hitts getting weaker and weaker until she finally passes out due to lack of oxygen. Steven immediately lets himself drop bubbling the villain when the air gets thicker, he hears something approach and suddenly a blonde man with red wings is floating in front of him.

"Oh, you got her. They called me in when you started going up." he looks at the woman.

"I'll take her from here kid, you did good, are you ok to get down by yourself?" he asks.

"Yea, i'll be fine." he tells him, handing the bubble off to Hawks who sends some of his readers to take it heading for the ground as steven floats down miriko in front of him in a second.

"Where is she?"

"Hawks has her." he tells her and she groans.

"Who called that overgrown turkey?!" she demands turning to look over the crowd of heroes and police.

Hours later after being dragged to the hospital and x-rayed to be sure that no bits of metal were healed in his shoulders and being questioned by the police, Steven is released to miriko.

"You did good, kid, but now we do the boring thing and head back to the office, order dinner and fill out the mountain of paperwork required after a major villain battle."

"It can't be worse than reforming homeworld.'' Steven mutters as they walk back towards mirikos office and home. Settling in for the next few hours, Miriko showing him the quickest way to fill out the paperwork.

"Now, after a major battle like this a hero is required to take at least one day off, it's bull but i need to put in an order for a new outfit and you need to get shirts and pants made of stronger materials if you're going to keep bulking up.

"There was a note in my briefcase saying that I need an upgrade. But I like my outfit. It makes me feel like I'm still back home." he sighs, picking at a hole in his shirt.

"I'll visit the support department when I get back to school. Have them make something to stretch when I turn pink.

"How many of those pink forms do you have anyways?"

"Three? One i turn pink, another i bulk up like a quartz…." he trails off looking haunted.

"And the third?" she asks, catching onto his hesitance.

"I have the power of a Diamond." he says remembering jasper bowing to him, his body swells crushing the chair and Miriko jumps back.

"Woa kid calm down!"

"I cant keep calm, my body cant handle normal situations because i've been through so many traumatic situations, isn't that just great!" his fingers dig into the floor as he tries to calm himself down.

Steven doesn't know how long he stays in that state before calming down but the first thing he feels when he does is the softest blanket he had ever felt being wrapped around his shoulders.

"What the hell was that kid!?" Miriko demands looking almost panicked.

"Sorry, it won't happen again."

"That's not the issue, are you ok?!"

"I'll be fine. I'm fine." she eyes him dubiously

"We're calling it here kid, no more paperwork, we're watching a movie." She helps him to his feet, leading him to the living room still wrapped in the blanket.

"If you tell anyone about this I'll kill you. I was a brutal host who never let you have a moment of rest outside of training, understand?" She asks, tossing him the remote and glaring at him and he nods.

"Good, now let's find something to watch."
