A Ok... soooo... I umm... have a bad news and a really bad news.

The bad news. My exams are starting so no updates for some time.

The really bad news. They will finish by the end of January and I have more exams starting in the middle of February. And I won't get a lot of free time after that for about a month. Soooo... don't expect a lot of updates :/

I wrote this while listening to Rush E. Should I be concerned?

Anyways, enjoy the chapter

(Y/N) POV -

Where am I?

Everything hurts...

Why can't I remember anything?

I opened my eye and saw that a blond boy was holding me while crying.

"Who are you mister? Any why are you crying?" I tried to say, but nothing came out.

I tried to touch his face to clam him down, before everything went dark.

Aether POV -

We quickly took Asmoday to a doctor in hope that he could be healed. After all, he survived having his head blown up.

Baizhu tried to heal him, but the best he could do was return his body to it's original state.

Asmoday was already dead, and there is nothing we could do.

"W-Why don't we take him to Barbara?" Paimon asked.

"It's too late Paimon. His visions are dead. That is the mark of a dead person" Zhongli said.

Paimon began crying and Ganyu took her away to calm her down.

"Aether, about Asmoday's funeral..." Zhongli said.

"I... need time to process his death. Can you take care of the funeral arrangements?" I asked.

"Sure. That's the minimum I can do for a friend" Zhongli said, as he left.

I went to Paimon after she had calmed down and we teleported to Mondstadt with Diluc to inform others about Asmoday's death.

When we entered the city, Amber saw us and hugged me.

"Aether! I missed you so much! Did you find anything about Asmoday in Liyue? Is he still there, or did he already leave for Sumeru?" she asked.

Right. Most people don't know about what the Fatui did to him.

I couldn't hold it any longer and began crying while Amber hugged me.

This caught the attention of some citizens and a crowd slowly gathered around us.

Jean and Lisa were at nearby, when they saw the crowd and came there.

"Aether? You alright? What happened?" Lisa asked me in a concerned tone.

"Diluc, what happened in Liyue?" Jean asked him.

"Jean... Asmoday is dead" Diluc said.

The whole crowd went silent and the only noises were me crying.

"I- I need some time... Aether, Diluc, come to my office when you're ready" Jean said as she left with Lisa.

"Aether, what do you mean Asmoday is dead? Please tell me this is a really bad joke" she said as she started tearing up.

I just silently shook my head.

A few hours later, everything that happened was made public.

The citizens were grieving over Asmoday's death, but some were getting ready to take revenge from the Fatui.

The involvement of the Abyss order and the actual cause of his death was told only to our close friends.

Zhongli contacted me and told us that the funeral preparations had started and it would take place in one week. We decided the location to be Starfell lake, where Venti's statue was previously located.

Zhongli POV -

After talking with Aether, I returned to the funeral parlor to tell Hu Tao about what happened.

"Mr. Zhongli! What was the weird water snake thing? And why are you covered in blood!?" she asked.

"Hu Tao... you're finally getting a major customer" I said, while trying to lift up the mood.

"What are you talking about? Is everyone fine!?" she said.

"Asmoday... he's dead" I said.

Hu Tao went silent before giving a forced grin.

"Woo, yeah baby! T-that's what I've been waiting for. Finally, a customer who had pre-booked one of our premium coffins... That's what I've b-been waiting for..." she said as she hugged me and started crying.

"Mr. Zhongli, why am I crying? I've always wanted to have more customers... I even sold him a premium coffin when we met. I barely knew him for a few hours. Why am I so sad?" she said while crying.

I comforted her, and after a few hours we began the funeral preparations.

Aether said that Asmoday's funeral was going to be at starfell lake, and we started preparations for the biggest funeral Wangsheng Funeral Parlor had ever done.

I broke my contract to help Asmoday when he need me, I couldn't save him from dying as he saved Liyue from Osial. Making sure his funeral was the best possible was the least I could do.

A week later, the day of the funeral finally arrived.

People who had gotten closer to him during his stay in Liyue, the Qixing, and the Adepti joined us as we went to Mondstadt.

The process of moving his body from Liyue to Mond was like a royal procession. A sendoff worthy of the only Godslayer to ever exist.

During the funeral, I saw Barbatos sitting on a tree while drinking wine and greeted him.

"Ah! Morax. Nice to meet you old friend" he said.

"I go by Zhongli now" I responded.

"Alright, you can call me Venti" he said.

We had a small conversation before I finally asked him.

"You aren't going to participate in the funeral?" I asked.

"I- I can't. Loosing another friend because of me being weak. I can't take it anymore" he said.

I sympathized with him and left him alone to collect his thoughts.

Venti told me that The Tsaritsa had taken his gnosis too. Just what was she planning to do?

I couldn't think about it too much as there was a sudden surge of a familiar power.

Venti quickly jumped from the tree as we got ready to fight.

People present there felt it too and took out their weapons when a black portal opened.

"What is the Abyss order doing at a funeral?" I asked the herald that came out.

"The abyss isn't like you archons. The godslayer died because of our mistake, and we're here to pay respect" it said.

A mysterious person covered in concentrated abyssal energy came out of the portal and dropped a ley-line branch and some flowers on Asmoday's grave, before the Abyss order left.

(Y/N) POV -

I woke up and everything around me was just dark.

Hmm? No, "Hey, you. You're finally awake" this time?

I tried moving but noticed that I didn't have a body... WAIT! I DIDN'T HAVE A BODY!

I started panicking before I saw something glowing coming towards me.

I tried to shout to see if it was a person, but my voice came out as a weird whisper. Almost as if I was using something like telepathy. I probably was using telepathy.

The glow came closer, before vanishing.

I was trying to figure out what was going on, when something like a deformed hand started pulling me down.

I couldn't do anything as it tried to pull me, through what felt like a small tube. The had got irritated after some time, as it throwed me up.

The only problem was that I didn't stop.

After what felt like days, I finally stopped as I started falling. I finally landed on solid ground after a few minutes and noticed that I looked like a ghost, when my memories came back.

The Fatui, their experiments, Osial, my friends.

I tried to calm down but the memories of the Fatui's experiment were still fresh.

After a few hours I managed to calm down enough to see where I was.

It looked like a funeral. I saw Aether standing in a corner while silently crying, and tried hugging him.

I didn't exactly pass through him, but he didn't notice me either.

He wasn't responding, so I tired contacting anyone else.

Amber, Lisa, even Zhongli couldn't see me.

That's weird. People in Teyvat can usually see ghosts.

I saw Hu Tao and tried talking to her. My voice still came out like the weird whisper, but she didn't notice me. Even her pet ghost didn't see me!

How the hell did another ghost not see me!?

Suddenly, someone opened a portal and dropped a small branch and flowers on the coffin, before it was buried.

When I saw the tombstone, I almost fell down.

"Here lies Asmoday. One of the Honorary Knights of Favonius and the one who saved Liyue Harbor from the ancient god, Osial"

I was at my own funeral!

After some time, people started leaving so I just followed Ae and Paimon back home.

They tried going back to our usual routine, but couldn't. I could see them occasionally crying, but couldn't do anything.

I tried talking with everyone in Mond, but the most I got was Ae waking up from a supposed nightmare I caused.

I tried doing it on other people, but it didn't work most of the time, and the nightmares weren't even related to me!

What kind of wacky-ass ghost powers did I get!?

I went to Liyue and things were exactly the same there. No ghost could interact with me, and no person or monster either.

I was getting pretty depressing to be honest. Not able to talk with anyone, while being haunted by the experiments the Fatui did to me.

I tried to pass to the other side, when I saw Hu Tao send another ghost to the after-life, but looks like even the after-life doesn't recognize my presence :(

I couldn't do anything else so I just went back to Ae.

He slowly overcame my death over a few months, and started exploring Liyue in hopes to find his sister.

I was kinda fun to be honest. Seeing him go on what was essentially a rock collecting meeting with Zhongli, and somehow spend half of the 400 million mora I left with him.

Ae also met this exorcist boy who was apparently so strong that he deleted ghosts by being near them.

I, just like any normal person, tried hugging him in hope that something would happen.

Nothing happened.

I, HAVE A QUESTION FOR GOD. WHY!?

One night, I got really bored and went to Dragonspine to explore it when I couldn't feel any cold.

I saw a warming seelie and almost went past it, when it made a small cooing noise.

I turned around and tried touching it, and somehow managed to.

I had obviously tried touching one back when I was still alive, but my hand just passed thought it.

This time however, I touched it, and the seelie climbed on me.

"You can see me?" I asked in the weird whisper and the seelie responded with a small noise.

Finally! Something that could see and hear me!

I left my plan to explore Dragonspine, and decided to gather a bunch of seelie.

I didn't return to Mond after that for a long time, as I spent my time with the seelie that had started following me.

I found out that they were like really smart dogs. Able to understand what I was saying and trying to do their best. I was almost 60% sure that they were sentient at one point.

I couldn't exactly do a lot with my seelie friends, since we couldn't interact with rest of the world.

One day I had a brilliant idea and gathered all the anemo and pyro seelie near the skyfrost nail.

As I sat there, they started circling me, and soon there was a giant pyro swirl that I'm pretty sure could be seen all over Teyvat.

The seelie returned to me and started making happy noises as they tackled me.

While they were playing around me, I noticed something wrong with Celestia.

I tried to get close but couldn't fly too much, since my ghost body returned to my grave if I went too far.

A black aura was seeping from Celestia, and looked like it was slowly covering the moon's reflection. Something bad was coming, and it was coming soon.

Aether POV -

It had been months after Asmoday's death, but I still hadn't fully moved over it.

One day Jean called me to her office.

I gave two knocks before she allowed me to enter.

"Ah! Aether. Thank you for arriving at such a short notice" Jean said.

"It was no problem" I said.

"I suppose you noticed the large pyro swirl coming from the tip of dragonspine a few days ago?" she asked.

"Yup. Aether and Paimon were camping outside when we saw it. It looked so pretty!" Paimon said.

Jean gave a small chuckle and continued.

"Yes. That one. The problem is, Albedo has informed me that it was caused by hundreds of seelie gathering near the skyfrost nail and flying around it. The problem is, that the phenomenon has changed a lot since the first time it occurred" she said.

"How?" I asked.

"The first time, the pillar of fire was extremely large and there was a small glow near the skyfrost nail for some time, before it went back to normal. Since then, it has been a lot smaller and the seelie make a line towards the sky. Since seelie are said to guide humans, I want you to go there and find out what they're trying to communicate" she said.

"Alright, we'll do it" I said, as we left.

Finally caught up to wattpad and AO3.

I will occasionally post things. If I don't post anything for 2 weeks, I'm really busy. If I don't post anything for more than one month, I'm probably dead.

Haha, joking... unless (:
