This one is a long one! It's totally worth it (in my opinion) though! Enjoy and please rate and review (:

BNHA Movie: Chapter 13

The semester had come to a close and Kaiya had taken to preparing for the summer ahead. Packing her newly bought items from the Class 1-A shopping trip from the day before; the dojo door slid open.

"Hey Todoroki. How are you?" Kaiya greeted the boy kindly.

"Good. I see you got some new clothes?" He noted, seeing a few shopping bags scattered around.

"Yeah. My boss gave me a summer bonus so I decided to get some new things. What's up?" She smiled, seeing Todoroki shuffling his feet shyly. He handed her an envelope and allowed her to read the document before speaking.

"My father got invited to I-Island, but he detests these things. So he offered it to me; not that I'm any happier with it. Would you like to join?" Todoroki asked Kaiya as she was reading over the invite.

"I'm not sure, Todoroki. It's your father's invitation. I'm not family." Kaiya tried, seeing him lean on the wall observing her actions. "I wouldn't be representing anything." She shrugged. "Plus, I don't have a dress. It says to dress formally." She pointed out, reading the invitation. He sighed and pulled out a long shopping bag from outside the door and handed it to Kaiya with pink cheeks. "What's this?"

"A dress for the formal night. My sister helped me pick it out." He answered quietly. Kaiya peeked in the bag slightly and gasped. From what she could see, it would be gorgeous.

"I can't repay you for this!" She whispered as if someone could hear them. Todoroki chuckled at her surprise and shrugged his shoulders.

"It's a gift. Now would you come with me? It could be fun." He asked again. Kaiya had wanted to go to I-Island since Misa brought it up. "Please?" Kaiya broke at the softness of his voice.

"Okay. Thank you for asking me, and for this dress." Kaiya smiled. "When do we leave?"

"The car is waiting...so now?" He blushed, scratching his head.

Kaiya's eyes widened as she dashed around the room grabbing clothes, her hero costume and necessities and tossed them into a bag. "Todoroki! Talk about last minute you idiot! A girl can't put her life together in three minutes." She knew he was smirking at her but she chose to ignore it as she brushed past him to his town car.

"Looks like you just did." He mumbled, avoiding her annoyed glare but opened the car door for her to slide in.

They arrived at the airport and Kaiya's mouth gaped open at the sight of a private plane. "This...is yours?" Kaiya asked, the words barely audible. Todoroki nodded and got out of the car to open her door. "Thank you. I'm too poor to even be in your presence."

"Oh hush, I'd be your friend even if you were as rich as Yayarouzo. Money means nothing." He said simply, walking up the steps to the plane. It was gorgeous inside. Leather seats sat on soft carpet underfoot while the smell of tea wafting around the cabin welcomed her in.

"Okay, I can die now. I've made it to UA, gotten control over my Quirk, made a best friend, and sat in a private jet. I'm happy." Kaiya smiled, sitting down in front of Todoroki who just blushed at her. "You're the best friend by the way, in case you were wondering."

"Honored." He smirked, seeing the flight attendant approaching. "I'll have some ginger tea. Kaiya?" He asked her.

"Ummm...green is fine. Thank you!" She said happily. "I never thought I'd be in this situation. Thank you Todoroki!" He nodded at Kaiya in response as the tea arrived.

"It'll be a fun weekend." He said simply. "I'm not your only friend though. What about Misa?" Kaiya smiled fondly at the thought and nodded her head in response.

"Yeah. She is my friend. She's a lot of fun to be around."

"Why didn't you ever ask her for help with your fire?" Todoroki asked curiously, sipping on his tea. Kaiya pondered the question for a while before responding.

"I'm not sure. Admitting my weakness was hard enough…I guess I just never thought of asking her."

"Fair enough."

A few hours later once they had landed on I-Island and their bags had been dropped off in the hotel room, the pair were free to wander around the exhibitions. Kaiya was so excited her smile never wavered as all the different attractions buzzed by her; Todoroki had never seen her so happy before. He was glad that he was part of the reason that she couldn't stop giggling or smiling. "Hey look! You can compete to finish the course the fastest. You should try it!" Kaiya said, pulling Todoroki over to the arena. They were already in their hero costumes for publicity, so it would be okay if he did do the course. "Come on Todoroki!" Her wide eyes pleaded up at him and he knew he couldn't say no.

"Why don't you try it?" He asked.

"I'm too excited! I have no idea how my Quirk will react to all this excitement." She shrugged her shoulders but started bouncing excitedly as she pulled Todoroki closer to where he had to sign up. "Plus...you can show off for me." She winked teasingly, seeing Todoroki's eyes widen. "You should see your face." She laughed before talking to the clerk. Todoroki took this moment to look his friend over carefully. The usual concentration and stress on her face had not made an appearance since they landed. She was lighter and care free while she spoke to the clerk, a sense of relaxation exuded off her. He was so distracted by her aura, that he hadn't noticed Kaiya handing him the sign in waiver. "Todoroki? Here, fill this out! This is going to be awesome to watch!" He shook his head to clear the cobwebs to scribble his name down; he noted three people were ahead of him.

Once he was signed up, the pair took to the viewing area. "Isn't that Kirishima?" Todoroki asked Kaiya, seeing the familiar red hair in the center of the arena. She squealed and ran down to the viewing area to cheer him on.

"Kiri!" She called out to the boy who turned and gave her an excited wave and smile. "Do well! Todoroki is going to try this too!" He gave her a thumbs up as the announcer said he could go.

"I have to wait down in the tunnel. You wait for me here?" Todroki asked her, coming up behind her. She nodded excitedly as her eyes were glued on Kirishima's performance. "Ok, be safe." He laughed, leaving her to enjoy the show.

Kirishima did well and Kaiya cheered for him getting into 8th place until she heard more familiar voices. She looked down and saw Midoriya, Yayarouzo, Jirou and Ururaka watching too with a blonde girl next to Midoriya. Kaiya jumped down to join them, scaring Midoriya. "Hi guys!"

"Oh my god!" Midoriya screamed as Kaiya had scared him out of his skin.

"Kaiya!" The girls chorused and engulfed her in a hug. "What are you doing here?" Kaiya explained how she came to be here just in time to see another familiar face show his face in the arena.

"Bakugou?" Kaiya asked, then burst into laughter. The girls looked at her curiously until she caught her breath. "Bakuguo is not going to like who comes after him."

"So you're basically on a romantic weekend trip with Todoroki?" Jirou asked Kaiya, nuding her playfully. Kaiya narrowed her eyes, causing Jirou to giggle at her annoyance. The explosion boy finished very quickly and caught sight of Midoriya and began yelling at him. "Oh how I did not miss this."

"Your school is so cool! Oh who's that?" The blonde girl, Melissa, asked, pulling everyone's attention to Todoroki who beat Bakuguo's time by two seconds. Kaiya was cheering and clapping for her friend as she saw Bakuguo lunge at him.

"Don't ignore me!" Kaiya heard him yell at Todoroki. "What are you even doing here anyway?"

"My father was invited so I'm representing him. Kaiya is with me." Todoroki answered. Bakugou's eyes widened as his teeth grinded together in anger.

"Green Eyes is here too huh? No surprise there. She can't seem to go anywhere without you on her hip." Bakugou growled, seeing Todoroki tense. "Bet you just loved showing her how strong you are."

"Oh god, Kiri we gotta go." Kaiya said to the boy who noted Bakuguo's temper. They both jumped down to the arena and Kaiya stood between the two boys and held her hand on Todorok's chest to stop him from retaliating.

"Watch your tone Bakugou." Todoroki warned him, not wanting to give in to Bakuguo's threats.

"Just show up out of nowhere then show me up?" Bakugou snapped at him.

"It was my idea for him to try it dude, back off." Kaiya retorted, poking Bakugou in the chest.

"Ah,Green Eyes. The bastard only ever listens to you; what a surprise." Kaiya could feel Todoroki advance behind her towards Bakugou for his comment so she turned around with her hand still on his chest to stop him.

"Lunch time?" Kaiya asked sweetly, meeting the boy's angry eyes. "My treat for this weekend getaway." Todoroki's eyes still bore into Bakugou even at Kaiya's request before a large flame erupted between them.

"Back off. Both of you. Bakugou, you move back now. Todoroki? Lunch sounds good, doesn't it?" Misa's stern voice sounded as she leapt between the fight. Her angry eyes narrowed on him until Todoroki broke his glare with Bakugou to see the plea in Kaiya's. He grunted and led her back to the exit to find some food.

"See? I told you! Green Eyes can only hold you back for so long Icy Hot!" Kaiya heard Bakugou call out as they left the arena.

"Enough Bakugou!" Misa roared while Kaiya gripped Todoroki's arm and led him to where she saw food stands earlier.

While eating their lunch, Todoroki seemed extra quiet. "Why did you let Bakugou piss you off?" Kaiya asked, slurping on her noodles. He shrugged at her noncommittally. "Todoroki, come on. You normally keep a level head with him." He shook his head at her. "What is it?" Kaiya asked.

"He was rude to you. And what he said about you." He answered her finally. "I don't like how he thinks you're dependent on me. I just lost my temper when he brought you into it."

"I'm sorry. I don't mean to come off like that…." Kaiya started but Todoroki cut her off.

"No, it's not you. It's him for thinking that. He's wrong. We're friends." He told her, his eyes meeting Kaiya's finally.

"I feel special." Kaiya smiled, her cheeks burning.

"You should. I don't like most people." He replied, sipping on his drink.

"You like people; you just aren't used to people." Kaiya winked at him. He still looked uncomfortable about something, so she arched her eyebrow in question.

"I'm thinking about tonight. Chances are there will be dances. And as I am representing my family; I need to do at least one; show my face." He explained, sipping on his soda.

"That's okay! I can dance. I learned it years ago while I slept at a dance hall for a few months. Just follow my lead and it'll be okay." Kaiya smiled, earning a small smile from him. "You worry too much. What should we do to kill time before we have to get ready for the event?" Kaiya asked, looking around the exhibitions.

"We can just wander around until you find something else to drag me into." He mumbled jokingly, seeing her incredulous eyes.

"Because you just hated showing off for me earlier right?" He blushed at Kaiya and discarded his lunch tray as she giggled at him. "You're so easy to pick on." Kaiya sighed, discarding her tray too.

"Come on, let's go look around." He ignored her comment but held out his arm for her to hold onto for their adventure. "I have manners." He winked at Kaiya, earning a giggle from her.

A few hours later, Iida had sent a text saying they had to meet in the hotel lobby at six. Kaiya jumped in the shower to wash off the day's events as Todoroki laid out their outfits for the night; checking over any last minute creases. "This shower is the greatest thing in the world!" Kaiya called out, hoping Todoroki would hear her.

"I can tell that you're enjoying it." He replied back from the bedroom, smirking at the fact that the smallest things make the girl happy.

The water was warm and the perfect pressure unlike the shower at the gym Kaiya had become familiar with. She wanted to enjoy it for longer but didn't want to take up all the hot water before Todoroki could wash , Kaiya dried off and threw on pajamas as she heard Todoroki knock to enter.

"Why are you wearing pajamas?" Todoroki asked curiously. She caught his eye in the mirror as he stood shirtless. Her mouth ran dry as she looked at him through the fogged up mirror.

"Um, right if I wear the dress while I'm still wet or my hair is wet, I'd ruin it. So I'll dry off then put on the dress. I normally do this in my underwear, not pajamas." The words tumbled out of her mouth so fast Kaiya couldn't stop herself. Todoroki blushed at her explanation as she turned to run out of the bathroom in embarrassment. Kaiya internally cursed herself as she shut the door behind her, wincing at her embarrassment. "You are an idiot." Kaiya mumbled to herself.

With her hair dry and a small amount of makeup on, she finally stepped into the gorgeous thigh length dress that Todoroki bought her. It was a pale blue with a white hem halter neck and it fit her like a glove. She heard shuffling behind her and caught Todoroki's eyes on her as he stepped out of the bathroom in his white suit and pale shirt that matched her dress. "We clean up nice." Kaiya whispered, fiddling with her straightened hair. Todoroki's cheeks were bright as he came up behind Kaiya in the mirror and smirked.

"You look amazing." He complimented her, pulling her fingers away from her hair gently. Kaiya's fingers darted to her burn mark instead. "Confidence Kaiya." Todoroki whispered close to Kaiya's ear, sending shivers down her spine. Part of her didn't want him to pull away; she liked feeling him this close to her, a feeling that kept returning no matter how often she tried ignoring it.

"We should take a picture really quickly for your sister! Since she helped you pick this dress out." Kaiya suggested while Todoroki looked scared at the idea. "It'll be fine. We don't have pictures together or from this weekend yet." He nodded at her reluctantly as she pulled out her phone and angled the picture in the mirror of the two of them. A small smile formed on Todoroki's lips as Kaiya found a satisfactory angle and lighting as she snapped the shot. "It looks good! Thank you." Kaiya smiled, sending the picture to Fuyumi via text.

"My last gift to you." He teased her, earning a small smack on his arm from Kaiya.

"Todoroki?" Kaiya asked, catching his eyes in the mirror again before he stepped away. "I have really enjoyed today with you." She told him, her voice soft, barely a whisper. His eyes were warm as he bent down and placed a small peck on the side of her head, his hand finding hers still clenched to her burn.

"Come, we should meet them downstairs now." Kaiya's brain melted at the touch of his lips; but her feet managed to follow him to the elevator and down to the lobby to see Iida, Kaminari and Mineta. A few moments passed by in silence until she felt Todoroki's fingers graze her shoulder slightly. "Are you okay?" Kaiya nodded with a smile, her head still fuzzy with thoughts.

"Just nervous being in a dress worth more than my life savings." She lied, trying to cover up her nervousness. Todoroki seemed to buy it and she was thankful as Melissa, Midoriya, Ururaka, Jirou, Misa and Momo exited the elevator. Everyone looked amazing; they just had to wait for Kirishima and Bakugou.

"Hey, thanks for calming Bakugou down earlier. I'm not sure what would have happened if you hadn't been there." Kaiya whispered to Misa while everyone waited. The feline teen rolled her eyes at the memory.

"Don't mention it. Bakugou and I talked for a while after that. He's uh…more complicated than I originally thought."

"So you didn't kill him then?" Kaiya asked quietly, breaking into a smile. Misa giggled and shook her head. "Good. That wouldn't look too good on your record."

"No one would blame me though." Misa whispered before the intercom beeped.

"We have received a report of explosive activity on the island. As a precaution, the island's buildings will be locked down." A voice over the intercom announced.

"The elevators stopped working." Jirou said, pressing the button to no avail.

"Is anyone getting any signal on their phones?" Iida asked as everyone checked their cell phones.

"It's strange the system would go on high alert. That's not the protocol when explosives are discovered." Melissa pondered.

"Let's go to the party." Midoriya suggested to a skeptical Iida. "That's where All Might is." He continued.

"Oh thank goodness. We don't have anything to worry about then." Mineta sighed.

"We can use the stairs to get down there." Melissa suggested. The group got close to the party and Jirou was able to hear All Might's warnings about the attacking villains.

"You heard All Might. We need to get out of here." Iida tried while Momo agreed.

"We are still only students. We don't have our hero licenses yet." Momo added on.

"What if we get out of here and tell the heroes outside what is going on?" Kaminari suggested but Melissa pointed out how intense the security was on the island. "Well, I guess all we can do is sit and wait."

"Are you really okay with that Kaminiari?" Jirou asked him.

"What other choice do we have?"

"Don't you think we should at least try to stop them?" Kaiya asked before Mineta interjected.

"Those villains have All Might trapped. There's no way we can be useful if the actual pros are stuck." A few moments of heavy silence went by before Todoroki spoke up.

"Aren't we trying to become pros ourselves?"

"Well yes but we're not allowed to use our Quirks. You know that." Momo told him.

"Does that mean we just do nothing?" He asked her in response.

"It's complicated…" She mumbled.

"We need to try. We don't have to fight them, just rescue All Might." Kaiya offered a shocked room. "We can't call ourselves heroes if we just sit here."

"I agree. We can save everyone! I wanna try." Midoriya added, coming up to stand beside Kaiya.

"The security floor is on the top floor of this building. If the villains have control over it, the authentication and passwords have probably been disabled. We should be able to restart the system."

"Then it's possible." Misa nodded to Kaiya.

"If we stay on the down low and stay out of the villains way, we could sneak up to the top floor." Kaiya thought.

"Avoid fighting until we get this place back to normal. It could work." Todoroki mused.

"Not bad. What do you think?" Kaminari asked Jirou.

"Let's do it!"

"I'm going with you too." Melissa piped up. "I don't suppose any of you know how to reset the system?" She asked a skeptical Midoriya.

"We need her dude." Misa nudged the green haired boy.

The group ran up the many floors before they hit an obstacle on the 80th floor. "God I hate heels." Kaiya mumbled as she caught up to Todoroki. A large door blocked the rest of the way.

"Do we break through it? Me or Kaiya could probably do it without causing a whole lot of noise." Todoroki asked.

"The system would still notify the villains that someone was in here." Melissa told him.

"Why don't we just go through this door?" Mineta asked, ignoring Melissa and Midoriya's warning.

"I swear to god if we get caught because of you, I will melt you." Misa growled at the boy who gulped in fear.

"Is there another way to go up?" Todoroki asked.

"There's another door up here." Melissa told him but doors began blocking their exits. Kaiya's eyes found an exit route that was about to be blocked.

"Todoroki!" She pointed as his ice stopped the door just in time. "It's like you're in my head." She smirked as Iida blew open the last door with his recipro burst.

The group looked around the shortcut while Melissa explained the purpose for the room. "It's a plant factory. They study the fauna and their effects here."

"Wait! The elevator is going up!" Jirou pointed at their target.

"Don't tell me the villains found us." Mineta cried before Misa buried him within the bush.

"Hide here!" Kaiya shushed the group and brought them to a large array of foliage. The group crouched behind the bushes, hoping that the villains would walk past them. "Please don't notice us." Kaiya thought to herself as Todoroki grasped her knee in comfort.

"Hey! We see you stupid kids!" One villain called out. Kaiya held her breath until she heard the familiar voice of Bakugou echo through the room.

"What did you say, bastard?" Bakugou's voice growled.

"What are you two doing here?" The second villain asked.

"That's what I want to know too." Bakugou growled back before Kirishima pushed him back slightly.

"We got a little turned around looking for the party. Do you think you could point us in the right direction?" Kirishima explained.

"How did they get this far away from the reception?" Kaiya asked curiously.

"I never thought I'd say I was happy to hear Bakugou's voice." Misa whispered.

"Don't lie to me or you'll regret it!" The taller villain threatened while he threw an attack at Kirishima. Thankfully, a large ice wall from Todoroki blocked the attack.

"Thank god." Kaiya sighed but her relief was short-lived as the villains began punching through the ice.

"Us three will keep these guys busy down here. You all get to the top." Todoroki ordered, creating an ice tower to bring the rest of the group to the higher levels. Kaiya jumped down with her wind and landed next to him. "You too Kaiya."

"Wait, no! I want to stay with you." Kaiya argued but he picked her up and placed her onto another ice platform. "Todoroki!" She called him as he raised the platform.

"I'll be right behind you, just get to where you need to be." He urged her, his eyes unwavering. Annoyance bubbled in Kaiya's chest but she nodded her agreement.

While the group were trying to figure out a way into the control room and panicking, Kaiya noticed a small grate someone could crawl through. "Who's small enough to crawl through and not fall on the other side?" Midoriya asked as Kaiya broke out into an evil smirk towards Mineta.

"I can't do that!" He argued, backing away from Kaiya. "Do you know how high up we are?" He cried.

"If you survive and become a celebrity, you will be super popular with the girls everywhere." Kaminari tried to encourage him.

"Go. Or I'll melt you." Misa said with a flame engulfing her hand. Mineta gulped and climbed his way up into the ventilation system.

"You really don't like him do you?" Jirou asked Misa with a laugh.

"Not at all."

Once Mineta successfully established a way for the other students to continue climbing, Kaiya's face turned worrisome. "What is it?" Ochako asked her.

"It's been awhile since we left the other three down on the 80th floor. You think they're okay?" Kaiya asked her as they kept running.

"They're very strong fighters. I wouldn't worry about them." Ochako smiled but Kaiya didn't look convinced.

"Isn't it weird that the villains aren't trying to capture us? Maybe they don't know who we are. We're not exactly just teenagers." Kaiya pointed out.

"Actually you're right on target, Kaiya. There's robots out here that are used to capture. They figured us out." Iida told her from his viewing spot.

"Okay. Plan A. Ready Kaminari?" Iida asked the electric teen as Momo created an insulated blanket for them. He shot the robots with over two million volts and ended up turning lame; with no effect against the robots. "Plan B!" Iida announced as Momo created signal jammers for the group to toss at the robots.

"It should not be this hard!" Kaiya growled as she, Misa and Midoriya took down some robots as the rest of the group ran for cover. Both girls fired a large flame to buy the rest of the group enough time to escape while Midoriya bolted around the room. "We have to keep going!"

"Yayarouzo and I will stay here with Mineta, Jirou and Kaminari to buy you guys enough time to get higher. Go!" Iida ordered, handing Kaminari to Jirou. "Kaiya and Misa! Keep them safe." Iida told her.

"Yes class rep." They promised, pulling Ochako with them. The five of them kept running despite the exhaustion creeping into their bones until they arrived in a darkened room and saw a clear shot to the security room.

"There could be more robots waiting to ambush us." Misa thought.

"There is an emergency exit up there that will help us avoid any ambush. With Ochako and Kaiya, it should be easy." Melissa explained, visibly scared.

"Ururaka will float you up there but I'll send a wind burst to get you up there quicker. Just hold on tight okay? Gravity and wind are hard to control together." Kaiya explained, hearing more robots approaching. "Hurry!" Ururaka touched the pair and they floated according to plan.

"We can't attack when carrying Melissa and Deku." Ochako pointed out as the hoard of robots surged towards the two girls.

"That's why I'm here." Misa smirked, throwing balls of fire towards the robots, melting them on the spot. However quick her attacks were, more robots appeared and quickly became too much for Misa to control on her own. "Okay…some help would be appreciated now."

"Come on, hurry up!" Kaiya mumbled, praying that Midoriya would reach the top before the girls were attacked. As the robots lunged closer to them, Kaiya broke part of the flooring into pieces to slow down the attack with her mind. "God this is hard." She winced as a headache formed and winced as debris retaliated against her ribs. Suddenly, explosions appeared and Bakuguo blasted the remainder of the robots away before the girls got hurt. "Thank god." Kaiya sighed as she felt the heat of Bakugou's explosion brush by her.

"Todoroki and Kirishima!" Ochako cheered in front of Kaiya while she saw Mirdoriya and Melissa reach the top at last.

"That was close, are you two okay?" Todoroki asked the two girls, eyeing Kaiya scowling at him as they all braced themselves for another fight. "Misa?" He asked the feline girl who's claws were angry red with heat.

"Yeah, we used our Quirks to get Deku and Melissa to the top. Misa protected us." Ochako explained.

"Good job. We gotta move!" Todoroki called out to Bakugou.

"Stop telling me what to do!" He yelled back, blasting more robots.

"Jesus Christ, you work well together, quit arguing!" Kaiya screamed at the boy in the air.

"Don't yell at me!" He yelled back.

"I am in heels, in a short dress, I haven't eaten in hours, and robots keep attacking me. Do you really want to fight Bakugou because I can add you to my list of things to destroy!" Kaiya snapped, seeing him land in front of her, his red eyes burning into hers. "Fucking try me Katz." She leveled her gaze with him as her eyes flashed red. Bakugou narrowed his eyes but smirked at her attitude.

"You should get pissed off more often. I'd like you more." He snarked, earning a punch in the arm from the elemental girl. "Ow, what the shit?"

Ignoring his outburst, Kaiya turned to the rest of the group. "Ready? Let's go." Kaiya asked, as Todoroki regarded the girl carefully. She was bleeding a lot from her side and he wondered how she got that injury.

"You're bleeding." He started while Kaiya just nodded at him. "Are you okay?" She nodded in reply. "I sense you are mad at me?" Todoroki guessed. Kaiya growled and turned to see slight hurt in his eyes.

"You made me leave you. I wanted us to stay together." She told him honestly.

"You mean when we found Kirishima and Bakugou?" Todoroki asked and Kaiya nodded. "I'm sorry, I controlled you again." He mumbled while they continued running.

"No it's not about controlling Todoroki...you don't control. It just seemed like you didn't want me around to help." She admitted, a blush coursing on her cheek.

"I wanted you to be safe. I knew that the place we were in wasn't safe. I couldn't...bear if something happened to you." Todoroki answered her quietly. Kaiya stopped abruptly and gazed at her friend.

"What?" She asked.

"It's true. If you got hurt and I couldn't stop it, I wouldn't forgive myself." He explained further, his eyes not meeting Kaiya's.

"We're going to be heroes, that will be an inevitability. You can't protect me all the time, plus I don't need protecting." She stated simply, her words hard but her tone soft.

"I know...I just want to protect you for as long as I can." He whispered, finally meeting her eyes. Kaiya only saw earnest and endless amounts of care in his eyes and maybe a hint of something else that made his kiss earlier make more sense.

"Todoroki….I…" Kaiya started but silenced when the earth shook. "That wasn't me...we gotta go!" She said and tore off to the chaos on the roof. Once they reached the top of the tower, all Hell broke loose. "Nope. Not today, this is bullshit." Kaiya mumbled, flexing her palms for battle.

"One hell of a first vacation for you huh?" Todoroki asked her, his shirt ripping from the fire he kept using.

"You can take me on another one. One with less fighting and more….laying on a beach and sun tanning." Kaiya smiled, blocking the attacks flying around them.

The battle was hard and loud as Iida and Kirishima worked well together knocking the debris out of the sky that Bakugou and Misa blew up. Momo and Jirou kept everyone else safe near the exit door while Todoroki and Kaiya kept the protruding attacks from getting to All Might. A flash of green brushed past Kaiya as Deku ran to join All Might in battle, successfully taking down the villain, Wolfram.

After the fight was over, the dust settled and they were cheering for All Might and Deku. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm exhausted." Kaiya yawned as the sun crept up over the mountains.

"Yes of course. All you kids go back to your rooms to clean up and rest. You've done well." All Might smiled. It didn't take much convincing for the teens to listen to their teacher.

Arriving at their room, Todoroki opened the door to let Kaiya in first. She staggered to the mirror and took in her appearance. Her dress was torn, dirt was caked to her face and dried blood painted down her arm and rib cage as she burst into laughter.

Unbuttoning the remainder of his shirt, Todoroki turned to the laughing girl. "Are you okay?" Todoroki asked, confused by her laughing.

"Can we ever just have a normal day?" Kaiya asked, pointing at her appearance. "Look at me! And your shirt is practically gone. The only obstacle I thought we'd have today was your dance skills. That's too bad we didn't get to dance." Kaiya giggled, stepping out of her heels. Todoroki chuckled softly at her observation, noting Kaiya wincing from the removal of her shoe. "God my feet hurt." Todoroki looked his friend over while she massaged her feet. "What?"

"I forgot about the dance." He admitted shyly, picking up his phone.

"I'm not surprised. We did kinda get attacked. What are you doing?" She asked, hearing a soft musical score sound from Todoroki's cell phone. The boy had his hand outstretched to her with a small smile on his lips while Kaiya pieced together his offer. "Todoroki, I was kidding about the dance…"

"I'm not. I want to dance with you." He told her. Smiling, Kaiya took his hand softly and he pulled her to him gently, his hands finding her waist shakily. "I apologize if I step on your toes." Kaiya smiled and let the music take control.

"Just...listen to the music." She whispered, meeting his eyes as they floated around the room slowly.

"I don't...normally do this." He mumbled, his palms clammy against Kaiya's.

"It's a first for me too." Kaiya whispered, blushing at the intimate admittance. All of this was a first for her. First vacation, first time wearing a dress, first time dancing with a boy. Her first time feeling something for a boy. However nervous she was, this felt right, safe and warm. Maybe Kaiya wasn't crazy and Todoroki felt something for her too? He wouldn't ask anyone else to dance, he didn't ask anyone else to I-Island, and he definitely wouldn't buy anyone else an insanely expensive dress. And all he wants to do is protect her.

"Your mind is somewhere else." His soft voice interrupted her rambling mind. "Talk to me."

"I like…" Kaiya whispered, unable to find a strong voice beneath her nerves. She stole a glance up to Todoroki's searching eyes and her heart raced. He gazed at her with a sense of certainty with a hint of nerves behind his eyes too.

"You like what?" He asked her, a sense of eagerness in his voice.

"This. You. Us." She finished her thought; knowing she needed to be honest with herself. "I know you don't understand emotions well and I understand that. But I had to be honest with you." Kaiya told him, finding her courage as Todoroki's grip tightened on her waist. His silence brought a new wave of doubt through Kaiya until she felt a relieving sigh leave Todoroki.

"I do too. Like this. You. Us." He repeated her confession back to her, giving Kaiya's waist a small squeeze. "I have no idea what I'm doing." He admitted, causing Kaiya to giggle softly.

"Me either." She whispered, looking back up to Todoroki's eyes. Kaiya fought the urge to kiss him as their faces crept closer together while the song slowed, their lips very close. She knew he wouldn't take the final step out of respect, so she willed that he wouldn't back away from her as she pushed herself closer to him. "No more talking." Kaiya whispered, closing the gap between them at last.

Todoroki's lips were soft and eager as he tightened his grip on her waist. The song fell on deaf ears as their kiss continued; a simple, tender touch. For their first kiss, apprehension and nerves colored the contact until they melted together. Like puzzle pieces, they fit together easily as they explore each other gently. Todoroki pulled away first for air as Kaiya opened her eyes to him.

"Wow." He whispered, his hand cupping her face gently. His eyes skated over Kaiya's blushing cheeks and her plump lips.

"I know right." Kaiya replied, feeling her lips with her finger tips. "We should...clean up and get some sleep." She offered, reaching behind her to unzip the dress. Todoroki nodded and when she turned around to go to the bathroom, she could hear him whisper 'wow' one more time and she smiled to herself.

Todoroki lay in his bed while Kaiya showered, thinking over the kiss that transpired. He had been battling his feelings for Kaiya for weeks now. Everything about the spitfire girl excited him and he yearned for her constantly. He had never felt this way about anyone in his life; but knowing she felt something for him too brought a sense of relief. What was their next step? Were they together now? He was at a loss when the bathroom door creaked open.

"Your turn...I left some hot water for you." Kaiya teased, fingering her wet hair gently. Todoroki nodded and brushed past the girl gently, placing a small kiss on her cheek as he did. Kaiya blushed and skipped to her bed, leaving Todoroki to shower.

They lay in their beds, silent and content as the minutes ticked by; but Kaiya's mind was spinning. Did they kiss because of the song? Because of the stress of the day? Because they liked each other? For some reason Kaiya couldn't bring herself to ask these questions to the boy in the other bed, so she turned over and shut her eyes, hoping that sleep would overtake her.

However, a voice broke the silence. "Kaiya?" Todoroki's voice sounded. "Will you dance with me again another time?"

Kaiya smiled into her pillow at his innocent question. "If it ends with a kiss...of course." She knew he was smiling as he shuffled under the sheets in his bed.

"Goodnight Kaiya."

"Sweet dreams Todoroki."
