AN: Thanks all for keeping in touch with my story :)
Planning a wedding and literally working a crazy busy job is not easy! I am sorry for taking so damn long. I am glad to say that I am now a married woman! I hope you still love me!
Gemma hadn't wasted time in tearing Madison a new one the second she had gotten home. Of course she looked odd enough coming home without her laptop and her car. Gem didn't question that though. Too tired to take the truck and go get her laptop and car she showered and passed out. It was early when she woke, Gemma still sleeping. The sun was just rising as Madison stepped out, deciding to take the quiet and still relatively cool weather to her advantage. She started jogging down the street, heading in the direction of the Teller-Morrow garage. It was like six or seven miles but that was nothing to her. Cameron used to push her to run almost ten miles in the morning before classes. He had told her he loved a girl who was in good shape. It never, truly occurred to her that he had run her life, made her live her life as he saw fit. Everything from what she ate, her two elective classes, working out in any free time, small communication with her family, never visiting home. She hadn't seen it then, perhaps due to the cloud of love she had believed she lived in but she most certainly did now. Cameron had had a say in every little aspect of her life.
With a new found push, the brunette ran the last mile into the parking lot. Slowing down she stopped by the semi open garage door, hands on her knees as she tried to calm her breathing.
"Whatcha doin' here kid. It's like six in the morning." She heard someone grumble from the garage. She turned her head to find Happy ducking beneath the half opened door.
"Yea and?" She stood up and placed her hands on her hips, well aware he was checking her out.
Happy couldn't help it.
Madison was standing there in nothing but leggings that hugged her bottom and stopped right below her knees and a sports bra. The biker could now see how this little girl had effectively got him in the pool.
"What are ya doin' here so early? No one's up."
"Couldn't sleep. What about you?"
"Same." An awkward silence filled the air and Madison sighed.
"Alright well I'm just gonna grab my laptop and car and head home. Have a good day." She turned on her heel and started for the office. Pulling on the door she groaned loudly when she realized it was locked.
Of course it was.
"Godfuckingdamnit!" Kicking the door she was surprised when she was nudged out of the way roughly. Happy pulled a key aside on his key ring and unlocked the door. He opened the door and stepped aside, sweeping his arm out to invite her inside.
"Wow, a gentleman. Who woulda thunk?" She teased and walked inside.
"Next time just say thank you without the sass and don't kick the door." He followed her inside and leaned against the desk as she yanked open the drawer to retrieve her laptop.
"You know I do what I want, when I want." Holding her laptop to her side she faced Happy. "Can I help you?" Happy leaned against the desk, his palms flat on its surface.
"I want to hear you tell me you want to kill that Irish piece of shit." Madison raised and eyebrow and smirked.
"You get off on killing dont you?"
"Say it."
"And be what you jack off to tonight? Nah, I'm good." She maneuvered around the desk and headed for her car. With the laptop safely in the passenger seat Madison made her way around the car to the driver's side. Happy stormed up to her and grabbed her arm, pressing her back against the car door.
"Say it now Madison." He growled. His nose was just touching hers, his chest and hips holding her against the car. Instinctively her hands came up to press against his chest.
"I want to kill Cameron fucking Brennan." She hissed. It felt good to say it. More than she thought it would. "Teach me." She whispered.
"Teach you what?" His hands came up to grip Madison's arms.
"Teach me how to kill like you." Playing a dangerous game, she rubbed her nose against his and pushed her hips against his.
What was she doing? Madison never did this. Ever.
Instead of answering, Happy growled and shoved his hips against her hard, his hands tightening on her arms. The biker was only ever attracted to women for a fuck and damn did he want to fuck her in that moment. The sound of a bike in the distance had the two shooting apart, Happy stomping off to the garage and Madison still leaning on the car trying to assess what just happened. Had she really wanted him just then? I mean this was the asshole biker who constantly called her a princess with a privileged life. The jerk face who pushed her buttons and talked to her like a little girl.
And yet...
She had been itching for him to press his lips against hers.
Snorting at the very thought Maddie climbed into her car and peeled out of the parking lot as a bike flew in, passing her. She hadn't even noticed that it was her brother.
Gemma had glared at Madison the second she got home from the door. The Queen of Samcro had been standing in the doorway of the house the second she pulled in to the driveway. She was easily smoothed over with a large hot latte and peach muffin. After a nice long shower Maddie finally settled down on her bed with her laptop. Asking Gemma to keep any calls of visitors away while she finished her paper she settled in for what was sure to be hours of typing and proof reading. Leaning against the pillows resting against the headboard she opened her laptop and clicked her file. Frowning, she didn't recognize the first sentence of the paper.
She hadn't written that.
Slowly she scanned the paragraphs, the pages, every word and sentence only to find that it all had been edited. Things had been taken out, others added, words changed, whole paragraphs moved.
Her paper had been proof read and edited.
"Didn't think you'd mind. Saved a copy of the original if you don't like it." A voice said from her door way. Looking up Madison found Happy watching her quietly.
"You changed my paper?"
"Yea."
"You...you edited it?' She was at a loss for words.
"I just said yes."
"I'm sorry. Its just..." Maddie bit down on her bottom lip trying to find the words to say that wouldn't be so offensive.
"It's just..." He prodded her walking into the room and stopping at the end of the bed.
"Well not trying to be an ass but your changes are something I would have expected from a college student with at least a 3.0 GPA, not a murderous biker." Surprisingly enough Happy let out a laugh and moved to sit on the bed beside her.
"Show me." Madison stared at his face which was looking at her laptop. He nudged her arm hard and she shoved him back with her hand. "Don't push me little girl."
"Oh please. Now that I know you are smart you aren't threatening in the least Happy. And whats up with the fucking name? You are hardly ever happy."
"Nickname. Now show me where I surprised you or I'll show you that I'm still a scary sonofabitch." Madison would have loved to taunt him even more but she was more eager to discuss his changes to her thesis.
For nearly two hours they discussed the changes and how they fit. It shouldn't have been a surprise that Happy could back up every word he had changed. It wasn't until Gemma came in asking if they wanted lunch that they even realized it was almost noon.
"Don't you need to be doing crazy, dangerous biker stuff?" Madison asked as they headed downstairs for grilled cheese.
"Nah. Got a run next week but the Pres wants us to lie low for now."
"And you figured you'd bum it with me?" She teased. Madison sat down, tucking her legs underneath her on the seat. Happy merely grunted in response.
Gemma stood in the doorway to the kitchen and watched the two in curiosity. She hardly ever saw Happy interacting with anyone unless it was a croweater or one of the other Sons. He always treated her with respect. True, it had thrown her for a loop seeing the two on Madison's bed hunched over her laptop but she would rather it be someone like Happy than some asshole like Cameron.
The two ate with very little conversation. Madison didn't want her mother who was hovering nearby to know Happy's smarts. He was viewed as a cold blooded, sadistic killer in the club. She didn't want to be the reason for that to change. Once they were done she motioned the biker to follow her out to the pool. In a swift motion she tugged her shirt over head to reveal the bikini top that lie underneath. As she pulled off her shorts she found Happy standing close to the door just staring at her.
"You could join me instead of being a creep near the door."
"Went swimming with you once already. Don't really wanna do it again." Madison smirked at the memory and shrugged.
"Suit yourself." With that, she dove under the surface of the water and swam down the length of the pool before coming back up. Happy now stood at the steps leading in to the pool watching her. "Change your mind?" She called out to him. He flipped her off. Madison laughed and swam a little closer. "I think you are too chicken shit." The look on his face let her know that she was hitting the right buttons. "Or perhaps you are afraid I will see that you aren't exactly packing." Without a moments hesitation Happy stripped off his shirt and kicked his boots and pants off, leaving him in his underwear. He walked right in to the water and dove in. Madison watched him swim under the water, coming up beside her.
"Do you wanna say that again little girl?" He swam towards her slowly, backing her in to the side of the pool.
"You don't scare me Happy." She whispered. Truth was, even if she wasn't scared, she was intimidated. The biker pushed himself against her roughly and Madison let out a groan.
"Scared definitely isn't the word." He teased. Madison's legs wrapped themselves around his waist automatically. Happy lifted his hand from the water and brushed back a piece of wet hair from the woman's face. He could feel himself growing hard with so little between them. Madison couldn't deny the attraction either. Half the time she enjoyed teasing him and wanted to smack him and the other...well this didn't make much sense to her.
Happy brushed his lips across Madison's softly, hardly touching them. When Madison gripped the back of his neck to pull him in Happy pulled away and loosened her hands. She stared at him in confusion as he removed her legs from his waist and backed up.
"This ain't gonna happen girl. You can try as hard as you want but we are workin' together and you're..."He shook his head and started to get out of the pool.
"I'm what?" She called out after the biker.
"Too many things I don't need or want." He grumbled before pulling on his clothes, getting them soaked, before practically running out the door. Madison stood there with her back against the pool completely confused as to what just happened. Fury started taking over when she realized he was trying to pin the whole thing on her. How dare he? He was the one that came in the pool and pinned her. He was the one that damn near kissed her. And she almost let him! Madsion made a vow right then that she was done with this odd and misplaced attraction to the asshole biker. She would have to find someone else to teach her to kill.
Wet clothes in a heap on the floor of the bathroom, Happy tried to rinse the chlorine from his body. At least thats what he tried to tell himself he was rinsing off. He had hardly noticed that he had rode his bike back to the clubhouse in wet pants. Hell, Gemma had even noticed, giggling the way she did as he stormed through the house.
Enough was enough.
This little girl wasn't worth his time. She was Jax Teller's sister. Gemma and Clay's kid. She wasn't some croweater he could fuck and dump. But damn if she were...
No.
Happy slammed his fist on the shower wall and shut the shower off. He would train the girl and that was it.
Two weeks.
It had been a fast two weeks since the pool incident and Madison had successfully managed to avoid the clubhouse and Happy. It wasn't too hard considering she had school to finish and plenty of redecorating to do with Gemma. She wanted a change for her room. At first she begged to move into this cute studio she had found in town but it was shot down immediately. Cameron was still somewhere and that meant Madison would be stuck in her childhood home until further notice. She threw fit. Really threw a fit. Things were thrown and broken and words were yelled and cried. Jax felt sorry for his sister for a whole two minutes before she flipped him off and tore off to her room. She had refused to leave for nearly three days until Tara came and talked some sense in to her. Madison said her sorrys and got Gemma to agree to redecorating her room.
Once it was finished, it looked nothing like the previous room which actually brightened her spirits. Unfortunately, there was nothing more to keep her busy and at home. Gemma had requested her help with files and how was she supposed to say no?
The office was cool as Madison sat behind the desk typing in numerous finished jobs. It wasn't that Gemma was horrible with this stuff but...well the data she had to enter went as far back as a year ago. TM was the only garage in town so you can only imagine the amount of papers full of customers names, issues with cars and prices she had to enter in to the system. Hours had gone by and she hadn't taken more than fifteen minutes altogether to use the bathroom or grab a drink.
"Shut it down little girl." Madison's head snapped up and she sighed in frustration as she found Happy coming in with bag in his hand.
"I'm busy. I still have five more boxes of shit to get in here before you all load me with the rest of this years crap." Her eyes left Happy's and trained themselves back on the screen in front of her.
"You eat?"
"Yea. Jay brought me something an hour ago."
"Who?" Maddie sighed again and leaned back in the chair.
"Your new prospect." She glared. She knew the guys treated the prospects like shit, to induct them in to the club life and all that but it annoyed her a few like Happy, Juice and even her brother didn't bother to learn their names.
"Oh you mean BJ." Happy cracked one of those mean smiles at the poor guys nickname. Someone, she couldn't recall who, had walked in on Jay getting a blow job from one of the croweaters and he got stuck with the name. Instead of answering she turned her attention back to screen. Just as she began to type in the next bit of data the screen went black.
"What the fuck?!" Madison yelled looking around. Happy stood behind the monitor with the power cord in his hand. "Are you kidding me? I have to get this done!"
"We also have shit to do. Had Gemma grab some shit for you." He tossed her the bag he had brought and headed for the door. "I'll see you in the ring in ten. Hurry your ass up."
Surprisingly, the young woman did as she was told but not without bickering. Her mother had sent Happy with a pair of her yoga shorts and a sports bra. The bitch. Just to spite her mother's scheming ways she grabbed one of the samcro shirts they kept in the back of the office. She slipped it over her head as she crossed the lot to the ring behind the clubhouse. Happy stood shirtless, Chibs taping up his hands.
"Woah, wai' a minute." The Scotman stopped and held up his hands. "She can' be tha one ya 'ave in the ring."
"Why the fuck not?" Madison snapped.
"Jax'll kill ya 'appy." Chib shook his head, ignoring Madison. Happy grunted and motioned for a prospect to finish his hands. Chibs hated being ignored but knew better than to keep at it with the Killer. With a shake of his head he walked over to Madison with a roll of tape. Wordlessly he taped her hands to prevent too much damage. She knew he was pissed about this but once Happy had something in mind it was rare for him to change it. Oddly enough, same went for her.
Madison kissed Chibs on the cheek as a thank you and climbed in to the ring where Happy waited for her.
"No rules."
No shit. I've watched my brother do this a hundred times." Maddie spat at him and put her hands up.
"Exactly; watched. I ain't gonna go gentle on you little girl."
"Like I thought you would. Are we gonna do this or what?" Happy chuckled and nodded, lifting his hands to his face. Panic seeped in almost immediately. Madison knew she wasn't going to be able beat him but she knew Chibs wouldn't let him beat her to a pulp either. He tried to remember everything her brother had taught her when they sparred. She had to keep her hands up to protect her face and always keep moving. She did just this but it didn't step the sharp jab Happy landed to her side.
"Easy on 'er! She still 'as injuries." Chibs yelled, his teeth clenching. Happy had remembered this of course. He knew those Irish bastards would remember too and go for them to take her down.
Madison tried to recover and swung but Happy easily blocked it and landed a hard fist to her ribs again. When she doubled over Happy swung and got her high on her left cheek. Chibs yelled out as Madison fell to one knee, hand on her cheek. He started to climb in to get her when she stood up and held out a hand to stop him. Something flashed in Happy's eyes as the young woman stood up and took the opportunity to swing hard and successfully make a connection with Happy's eye. Knowing the shirt was hindering her swing length, she pulled it off quickly and tossed it to the side. This enticed a short lived whoop from the guys who had gathered around to watch. There was hardly even a second for a smile to grace the girl's lips before Happy hand landed another hit on her and then another. Madison stood on wobbly legs as she tried to gain her composure and stop the world from spinning and tilting. She weakly threw a fist and Happy grabbed it and lifted his knee to connect with her stomach. She groaned in pain as her threw one last fist. This one slammed in to her mouth and split her lip wide open.
"ENOUGH!" Chibs yelled and tore in to the ring as Madison hit her knees. He caught her before she went all the way down, holding her up. "Lass, are ya alrigh'?" She could only manage a garbled mess of words and blood in response. With little effort the biker lifted her up and carried her out of the ring and to the dorms.
"Shit man. Jax is gonna kill ya once he sees what you did to hi kid sister. Nevermind Clay and Gemma..." Juice was already picturing Happy's casket as it was lowered in to the ground. As Juice and the rest of the guys wandered off he stood in the ring alone feeling something. He couldn't put his finger on what the feeling was exactly but he didn't like the fact that it made his stomach churn picturing Madison's face as she hit the ground.
