AN: I know this is super short but its mostly a filler, just getting something out of the way.
Gemma had come home to her daughter curled up on the couch crying. She instantly had gone to her, tried to console her but not knowing what made her so upset wasn't helping. Instead of words, she held her daughter and let her cry it out. Finally Madison was able to replace her sobs with hiccups but didn't move from her mother's arms.
"Are you gonna tell me what's got you crying like your cat died?" Madison knew that even if she didn't her mother would find out. Gemma had that way about her.
"Just guy troubles." She murmured.
"Is that guy a certain Enforcer?" This caught Madison's attention and she sat up.
"Why would you ask that?" She wiped her face on the back of her hand and took in a deep breath.
"Baby girl, I've seen the way the two of you look at each other. Just look how you defended him today against your brother. No one does that for just some guy."
"Ma, Jax was going to kill him." She reasoned.
"And what's the excuse for the day I found you two holed up on your bed for hours talking? Happy is a killer, not a talker." Madison sighed and shrugged.
"I dunno Ma. We just clicked. I can't explain it. He told me he'd help me get revenge on Cameron. And before you go all "the club will handle it" it's not the club's business. It's mine. I don't think I will ever be okay again if I don't have some kind of closure. I want to be the one to see him die, to be the one who takes that from him." Once it was all said Gemma pulled away from her daughter a little. Not once had she ever heard her speak like this and it stunned her. She truly was a Samcro woman even if she had tried to not be. The older woman took her daughter's face in her hands and made her look at her.
"Baby, I will make sure you get to. If Happy said he wants to teach you then let him. As for these feelings and connections...well that's not something I will be able to tell you what to do. All that shit takes time and differs from each person. Has Happy ever given you a reason to think he cares about you more than just being your teacher?" She didn't want to sound harsh but she needed to make her daughter see reality and prepare herself for what would be a hard life if she chose to be with him.
"I dunno Ma. Some times I think he does but then he goes and does something that makes me think I was fooled. He's hard to decipher." She scrunched her nose and her mother laughed.
"Honey, you have no idea. Happy is one man no one will ever be able to figure out. But from the couple of times I have seen you together I have to admit, it doesn't look this this is one sided. But this is up to you to figure out if the pain of loving him is worth it."
"Oh come on. I didn't say a thing about love." She scolded her mom. Gemma loved playing cupid. The woman only laughed and kissed her forehead.
"Yea, yea. Come on, lets go find some ice cream."
