"I can't believe we're actually here!" Eleanor squealed as they approached the door to Burr.

Jasper let out a chuckle as he manouvered around the twins to open the door for them to walk through.

Despite being constantly reminded that they needed to stick together as Jasper could not split himself in two, Liam left Eleanor and Jasper by the door to speak to the host, returning moments later.

"No go, sorry Len."

"What do you mean 'no go'?" she asked him.

"I mean, they are completely full, and their waiting list is currently at ninety minutes"

"Do they not know who we are? I mean, the last time I was denied a table, my lunch date called his lawyer and bought the restaurant there and then."

"They know who we are, but their policy is that no one, not even royalty jumps the queue. Wait. Where's Jasper?" Liam asked, noticing that Jasper was not stood with them.

Looking round, they saw him striding up to the host podium. Curious, they moved closer.

"May I ask if Elizabeth Burr is available?"

"Mate, I told him and I am telling you. We have no tables, there is a ninety minute wait and we do not allow celebrity status to jump the wait. The owner of this establishment, and head chef, as you can imagine, is incredibly busy." The host gestured around him to the restaurant and bar area.

"What if I asked for Olivia?" Jasper asked, his tone one of quiet confidence.

The hosts face became serious as he asked Jasper for ID.

Instead of looking through his suit for his wallet, Jasper moved the cuffs of his suit up to his elbows revealing his shirt sleeves. He held his writs out and allowed the host to photograph his wrists. Liam and Eleanor looked at each other confused. Their confusion only growing when the host told them to follow him.

Eleanor and Liam quickly caught up with Jasper and the host.

"I would usually say stick close by me, but as I have no idea how this will go, I would recommend staying at least ten feet behind me." Jasper warned them.

"Jasper, what's going on?" Eleanor asked him.

"You'll see "was his response.

They followed the host through the restaurant and to a door that said STAFF ONLY. He opened the door and gestured the three of them through it into a short corridor and through another door. Eleanor was disappointed that they had been led to the kitchen.

"I must return to my position, but wait here and you will be shown to your table."

"Table?" Eleanor exploded. "We're stood in the freaking kitchen!"

She turned on Jasper when she heard him chuckle.

"WHAT IS SO FUNNY?"

"Nothing, your highness, however, the table you have is the most coveted and is usually found, in the kitchen. It's known as the 'Chefs table' and there is usually quite a high price tag and wait time just to reserve it."

Jasper, knowing that Liam and Eleanor would follow him, set of through the kitchen towards the small, but perfectly set table, a feeling of unease growing when suddenly, something flashed across his eyes. He stopped dead and turned his head to the left to see a highly sharp chefs knife sticking out of the wall. Eleanor and Liam were looking at it in utmost horror, fear beginning to creep into them. They hadn't really taken Jaspers warnings seriously.

They were shocked when he reached up, pulled the knife out of the wall, tossed it so the blade was in his hand.

He beckoned the shocked twins onto their seats. They remained in silence until a pretty redheaded woman approached wearing a chefs uniform. They watched as Jasper handed the knife to her.

"Relax, if she wanted to hit me, she would have, but, Prince Liam, Princess Eleanor, this is the owner of this restaurant, Elizabeth Burr."

"Your Highnesses, welcome to my establishment. I will personally prepare your meal this afternoon. I shall be back in a few minutes to take your orders." She said, in an American accent, with flecks of English coming through. She turned, nodded to Jasper and said "Casper."

"Liv. It's been a minute"

"Or ten"

"Nice shot by the way."

Eleanor watched this interaction with interest, impressed with the eye roll that this woman gave her former body guard. She also watched as Jasper followed her to a station and sat on a stool. She knew that from there he was far enough out of the way for them to enjoy themselves, but close enough to them to intercept any threats.

"Len. You say there is nothing going on between you and Jasper, but I get the feeling that there is, you just don't want to tell me."

"Why do you say that?"

"You have not been able to take your eyes off him, and now he's talking to that Chef, who is a celebrity in her own right, you look like you're about to foam at the mouth."

"Jasper can talk to whomever he wants"

"Tell that to your face."

A server stopped at their table and passed them both menus.

"Ok. Maybe there was a thing at one point"

"And?"

"And now is not the time or the place to be discussing this" she said from behind her menu.

Within moments, Elizabeth returned to their table to ask each of them what they would like to eat. She smiled broadly at them and Eleanor watched as Jasper grasped her by the arm and whispered something to her. Eleanor watched as Elizabeth tore a piece of paper off her pad and handed it to the server who gave them their menus, before moving to the station where Jasper was once again perched.

She watched as Elizabeth expertly sliced, shredded and simultaneously tossed ingredients around a pan. She watched as Jasper slipped his hand into the freshly cooked meat that Elizabeth was slicing. She watched as Elizabeth slapped the top of his hand with the knife and waved it in his face as she said something to him, making him laugh.

Suddenly, she was not hungry anymore.

Eleanor and Liam's drinks arrived. They were surprised that the cokes they had ordered had been presented to them in glass bottles with their tops still on tightly.

Jasper appeared by their side, so quickly and silently and used a tool on his keys to remove the tops of the drinks. Liam now understood what Jasper had said to Elizabeth after they ordered and why. If there was more than him there, one bodyguard could have stayed with them, while one watched their drinks being poured. He had asked for sealed drinks to make sure no one spiked it.

Eleanor was still brooding too much to care.

Moments later, Elizabeth was presenting them with their food.

"Oh my God! This looks and smells divine!" Liam exclaimed.

"Thank you your highness"

Jasper watched Eleanor and Liam eat their food, while snacking on what Elizabeth had left him. He watched Liam attempt to engage Eleanor in conversation, while she ignored him and pushed her food around her plate.

When they had finished eating, their plates were quickly whisked away, and Liam indicated to Jasper it was time to leave.

As Jasper led them to the door, Elizabeth called out.

"Princess Eleanor, may I have a moment"

Jasper and Liam waited by the door.

"She threw a knife at you and you're letting my sister talk to this woman from a distance?" Liam asked him.

"She isn't a threat. Besides, I can shoot her quicker than she can stab the Princess"

Eleanor walked over to Elizabeth. Elizabeth handed her a small box.

"Jasper isn't a bad man. Yes, he has a dubious past and is sometimes misguided and has massive trust issues, but his heart has always been in the right place."

"How do you even know him?" Eleanor asked

"He's my brother."

"Do you even know what he has done to me?"

"I imagine he hurt you and in one of the worst ways, worked a con with you as the mark, but whatever the con was, its irrelevant, because I think Casper is now taking part in the ultimate con of all."

"What is the new con, and why Casper?"

"The ultimate con for a con man? Going straight. Casper because he was a skinny pale kid who doesn't make a sound when he moves."

Eleanor gripped the box in her hands and went to join Liam and Jasper.

"If either of you want to come back here, Jasper has my number"
