Hey everyone!

Aaron didn't know what Hailey was thinking. Did she really call the cops and tell them that he kidnapped Jack? Shaking his head and trying to keep his temper in check, he adressed the pair, "I didn't kidnap Jack. Hailey and I are married and we had an arguement a few days ago and she stormed out. My friend David Rossi said I could stay here with Jack and think things through. We've been here for a few days. I even left her a note saying that I was leaving to think things through and taking Jack with me. I haven't heard from her since she stormed out of the house. How did you know that I was staying here if you don't mind me asking?"

Officer Hanners gave Aaron a sneer, "Your wife told us. You took the child without his mother's permission. That's parental kidnapping. Turn around and put your hands behind your head. You are going down to the station with us and we are going to return the boy to his mother, which is where he belongs."

Before David Rossi's Italian temper could come out Officer Sims stepped in, "Woah now Hanners. Mr. Hotchner said that he and Mrs. Hotchner are still married. There is no parental kidnapping here. He was perfectly in his rights to take his son when he left the house since his wife was not there. No one is being arrested right now, so put your cuffs away. Mr. Hotchner, Officer Hanners is correct about how we learned of your location. Your wife told us you were here. You say you've been here a few days?"

The man nodded before expanding, "Yes. Like I said Hailey and I had an arguement a couple of days ago. She stormed out and I called my friend David here. He came over and we talked for about an hour before I decided that Hailey and I needed some time apart. I packed some of my things and Jack's. I left a note on the kitchen counter saying that I had taken Jack and that we were going to stay with a friend for a few days. I also wrote on the note to call me if she wanted to see Jack and we would meet up with her. I wasn't keeping her away from him. I haven't heard from here since she stormed out of the house. I don't even know how she knows where we are."

Officer Sims nodded and gave the three agents an apologetic grin, "I'm sorry about the confusion gentlemen. We just need to get everyone's name and statement for our report. We also need to check on your son Mr. Hotchner. We have Social Services outside that wish to look at him and speak to you sir. I have to mention that because of what is going on that Social Services will have to investigate. That means that they will have to take your son when we leave Mr. Hotchner. I'm sorry sir. It's protocol."

Aaron nodded and reached down to grab his badge from his jacket pocket. He had taken to carrying it in his jacket everywhere. Opening it he showed the two officers as Derek did the same, "Here is my badge so you can confirm my identity. Derek and I both work at the FBI in the Behavioral Analysis Unit."

David showed the pair his driver's license and was slightly pleased when Officer Sims blanched at seeing the two men were FBI agents. Officer Hanners on the other hand was still way too smug for his liking. The man looked like he was up to something and was way too pleased with himself. Officer Sims excused himself for a quick moment to let the Social Services worker in and when he returned he introduced the woman as Marie Saunders.

She smiled at the trio before getting down to business, "Gentlemen Officer Simms explained to me what you told him. Unfornately, because of the claims of kidnapping that Mrs. Hotchner lodged, I will have to take Jack with me tonight. If you wouldn't mind packing him a bag?"

Aaron sighed deeply before nodding. He looked towards David and Derek before gesturing Miss Saunders to follow him up the stairs towards the room that Jack had been staying in. Entering the room, Aaron heard the signs of Jack waking up from sleep. Not giving the woman another thought, Aaron rushed over and picked up his son and started speaking quietly to him, "I'm sorry Jack. We didn't mean to wake you buddy. You're okay. I know it's scary being woken up randomly in the night." He turned in a circle and caught sight of Miss Saunders gazing at the pair with a small smile on her face. He sighed again before speaking again, "I'm sorry Buddy, but you are going to have to go with Miss. Saunders. I promise it'll only be for a little bit. I need you to be brave ok?" Jack nodded sleepily at his father.

Laying the boy back down in the bed, Aaron began to pack a bag for him. He made sure to include everything that he brought with him from the house he shared with Hailey. Miss Saunders came up behind him and spoke quietly, "I can take the bag Agent. You carry Jack." Nodding the man picked up his son again before reaching down to grab Jack's favorite toy, a teddy bear that Aaron had bought him when he was born. He always slept with it. The adults climbed down the stairs silently and when they entered the living room they found only Officer Sims still with Morgan and Rossi.

The group moved outside where the found Officer Hanners pacing madly on the phone whisper shouting at someone. When he spotted them he quickly hung up before marching over to the group. He reached out as if to take Jack from his father's arms before Miss Saunders and Officer Sims told him to back off. Miss Saunders opened her back seat where she had a car seat already in place and watched as Jack's father buckled him in and kissed him on the forehead before softly shutting the door. She hated cases where she had to take kids from people who loved them but she had to do her job and investigate. She pulled a business card from her clipboard and handed it to the man, "Here is my card. Call me in the morning and we can move along with the investigation. I also recommend contacting your lawyer Agent Hotchner. I'll be taking Jack to a good family. I've placed many kids with them before. Goodnight gentlemen." She climbed in her car and drove away as the group of five men stayed on the lawn.

Aaron Hotchner answered Officer Sim's questions and made his statement in a daze. He wasn't fully aware of the words he was saying or the fact that Rossi and Morgan were making sure that Hanners got nowhere near him. Officer Sims handed his card to Rossi and herded his crazy partner into the patrol car and quickly left before the man could open his mouth again.

It was only after Rossi and Morgan ushered him back into the house and he was laying in the bed that Jack was sleeping in a few minutes before still dressed in his jeans and button up that he broke down and started to cry. He finally fell asleep when he was too tired to cry anymore.

Rossi and Morgan spent the rest of the night coming up with a battle plan. Hailey didn't know who she was messing with.
