Chapter 1: Welcome to Jurassic World

Sam looked out to the open sea. It had been 1 week since the destruction of Jurassic World. He had been alone ever since. Food was a necessity, and he was running out of it. He had seen a food carrier by the docks when the boat was leaving. He had missed the boat a week before when it took the remaining survivors off the island. All but him.

He moved in the cover of darkness. He walked gingerly towards the carrier. The moon was shining bright and there was not a sound in the jungle. The carrier was closed shut by a small rusty lock. Sam was an infiltration specialist when he served for the marines. He gripped a pin he had always kept in his pockets just in case. He slammed the pin into the rusty lock and began moving it side to side until the lock snapped and opened. He slowly opened the door. There was a long shelf with cans of beans and soup neatly lined across. He grabbed everything he could and stuffed them in his backpack. He heard a twig snap and immediately drew out his knife.

He looked outside the carrier and saw a boy about 20 feet away. The boy was not much older than 10 years old. He had pale skin with ragged clothes. The small boy was extremely skinny. The boy saw Sam and immediately began yelling trying to get his attention. Sam sprinted to the boy and cupped his mouth to make him stop yelling.

"Be quiet! "Sam whispered into the kid's ear. The boy looked up at him with a scared expression on his face. Sam dragged him into the carrier and closed the door behind him. Sam let go of the boy and put his knife away.

"What was that for!" The boy yelled.

"There are too many animals out there, you're yelling could have killed us both," Sam replied. The boy shot Sam a nasty look.

"How'd you end up here," Sam asked.

"I don't have to tell you anything!" The boy replied.

"Fine then at least tell me your name"

"It's Jimmy"

"Fine then Jimmy I'm Sam, are you hungry?"
