Chapter 15: The Spies

The rebellion was camping out at the Owl House. A time skip of three months has past. They thought their plan had worked because Luz has not returned yet. "It looks like our plan worked," said Eda.

"It appears that way," said Willow. "But we don't know for sure. How will we determine if it worked?"

"That's a good point," answered Eda. "I'll send you and Goops as spies to see the human realm. Come back here with results."

"Understood," said Gus. They went through the portal. Everything looked normal but this was the forest with the old shack. "Looks pretty normal to me," said Gus. "Let's let Eda know now."

"Hold on," said Willow. "Look." She pointed to some coven scouts carrying some crates. "Why would there be coven scouts in the human realm," she questioned.

"Don't know," answered Gus. "Let's follow them and maybe we'll see why they are here."

"Good Idea," answered Willow. They followed the coven scouts and staying hidden as they did. They followed them to the townhall building. They noticed Luz was there.

"The order you requested from the island," said one of the scouts.

"Excellent," said Luz. She opened up the crate and pulled out some palisman. "Great job," Luz said. "These will come in handy. After all, I still have control on the island and now the human realm. Now go do your duties, I'll go do mine. Hahaha, hahaha, hahaha." She then turned to a figure trapped in a cage with a chain.

Willow and Gus both exchanged looks. "We have to tell Eda," said Gus. "Our plan only made things worse." They ran back to the portal hoping they didn't get caught. To their surprise, they weren't. They ran inside the Owl House panting for air.

"Whoa, chill kids," said Eda. "What you saw couldn't be that bad."

"It was that bad," said Willow.

"How," questioned Belos.

"Our plan only made things worse, answered Gus. "Luz still has control on the island and the human realm."

"How can she have control of the island if she's gone," questioned Belos. "It doesn't make sense. Plus I saw her companion leave with her."

"Well either way," said Eda." We have to stop her."

"Let's go," exclaimed King.

"Hold on," said Eda. "You stay here in case we get caught. You'll be able to decipher our codes."

"Fine," said King. "I'll stay." He grabbed a device that was able to see the codes only the rebellion knew.

"We'll send you the right code if needed" said Eda. "It would be up to you then." They went through the portal to find it surrounded by coven scouts. Willow and Gus were spotted after all.

"Come with us," said a scout. "Or you will find it harder on yourself."

"We'll never go with you," said Eda.

"I was afraid you would say that," another scout said. "Throw the net on them."

"The what," questioned Eda. She didn't have time to react as the net was thrown on the rebellion. Eda tried to fight but it only made things worse. The rebellion was taken to the Gravesfield Townhall. They were shoved inside. They were now face to face with Luz and Amity.

"Thank you for bringing them to me," said Luz. "You are dismissed." The scouts bowed and left the room. "Now Owl Lady," said Luz. "Tell me where the rest of you are."

"How about you tell me what happened here first," asked Eda.

"I'd love to," said Luz. "Amity bring the projector, we have a story to tell." As Amity brought the equipment, Eda typed something into her device. "Now let's begin," said Luz.

What is Luz gonna show? Who is the figure in the cage? What did Eda type? Find out in the next chapter
