Chapter 21: Luz Catches On

The rebellion was right outside the castle. They were lucky enough to get out in time without any serious injuries. "Anybody hurt," questioned Eda.

"It appears not badly," answered Gus.

"Well," said Eda. "Why don't we head back to the Owl House and rest up a bit? That was too much to take in."

"Ok," answered Willow.

"I agree," said King. They all got ready and left for the Owl House to rest up and attend to their wounds. They didn't know that Amity survived the attack.

Amity activated the portal and went through it. She went right to Luz who appeared to be talking to some scouts.

"Great job scouts," said Luz. "You always do your job correctly." She noticed the portal door open and saw Amity walk right through it. Luz also noticed the bruises Amity had. "Sweet potato," questioned Luz. "Who did this to you?"

"It was the rebellion," answered Amity. "I've come to warn you about what they did."

"Hold on," said Luz. "Scouts, you are dismissed. Go do what you want." The scouts then left and did what they wanted to do. "Now," Luz continued. "Tell me everything but first let me heal you up." Luz cast a healing spell across Amity. It made Amity's wounds disappear and she felt like nothing occurred.

"I saw the rebellion walk up to the castle," answered Amity. "At first I thought they were gonna surrender but they were illusions. They were behind me the whole time. Luckily for me, I didn't fall for the illusions. I stopped their first attack which led to a battle. I quickly gained the upper hand. I even had them pinned on the ground. Then, I heard the former emperor say he had a secret weapon and then shouted for it. Kikimora was behind the throne the whole time. I missed that she was there. Then the worst thing happened, she attacked the sigil causing it to blow up. The throne went along with it. I was honestly surprised how the castle stayed intact. They fled while I was weak. Then I came here to warn you. Long story short, the rebellion destroyed your sigil and you no longer have control of the island." Vee gave a grin of happiness at Amity's story.

Luz didn't even look worried by this. "Ha," she laughed. "Is that all?"

"What's that supposed to mean," questioned Amity.

"Don't you see," questioned Luz. "This was a whole test. This was designed to see if the rebellion would actually surrender to me. Turns out they failed my test. The sigil was fake the whole time."

"So you still have control of the island," questioned Amity.

"Yes I do," Luz answered back.

"But how," Amity questioned again.

"As you may know," answered Luz. "The titan is the island and has the magic witches have now and from where I learned the glyphs. Well, I'm the titan now which means I'm also the island. Metaphorically of course."

Amity laughed at the metaphorically part of Luz's answer but Vee gave out a silent gasp. "How could our plan backfire," Vee thought to herself. "I have to find a way to warn them."

"Now come," Luz ordered Amity. "It's time to begin my counterattack."

"Counterattack," questioned Amity."

"Yes," said Luz. "Everyone should have a counterattack for their opponents. Remember the crate I had the scouts bring me?" Amity nodded. "Well," continued Luz. "It has to do with it. Well, what's inside it that is. Do you want to open it together.?"

"I would love to," answered Amity.

"Then come here and help me lift the top," Luz replied. Amity walked over to Luz where they lifted the top of the crate together. Amity gasped at what was inside the crate.

"Are those what I think they are," questioned Amity.

"Yes they are," answered Luz. "They will be the key to the rebellion's downfall. Hahahaha, hahahaha, hahahaha."

What is Luz planning? What is in the crate? How will Vee react? Will Amity ask for something? Will Vee be able to help the rebellion in time? Find out in the next chapter.
