Chapter 10
Haste
David was rushed to Storybrooke general hospital. Regina's heart sank against her will. She wanted to seperate her bond from him; not for him to die. He was Henry's father after all! When she resigned to the knowledge of there being casualties, this was not what she meant. A broken heart maybe, but not death. Her heart pounded, as she rushed beside the gurney until she was no longer allowed to follow. Doors slamming in front of her.
Regina paced back and forth the foyer. If David was here, she knew he'd make a comment about her burning a whole into the ground. She anxiously awaited any news on David.
Emma brought Henry in; the blonde was useful for something. As expected, Henry was distraught by the news. And also as expected, he blamed Regina for his current condition. Maybe he was half right? Henry these days, only saw her as one thing, Evil! We all know that villains don't get happy endings; despite how much they may try. Her happy ending was turning into a train wreck.
Eventually a nurse approached the mayor, informing her of David's current condition.
"He's in a coma?" She responded in disbelief. Her pacing began again. "When can I see him?"
The nurse responded. "Right away. He's stable but still fragile."
With a nod and a click of her heels, Regina followed the nurse in haste. Henry not far behind.
