No Dwarf
Gloin ran his blunt fingers over his son's work. "You
have changed,"
he murmured.
"How so?" asked Gimli, not really looking up from his task.
"All this,"
said Gloin, gesturing to the items around them. Amethysts
welded
together in the shape of petals, with a pearl for a dewdrop.
A
circlet covered with small blue flowers, also worked in gems.
"These
things you now make. No dwarf would wear such
things."
Gimli smiled as he adjusted the filigree on the
brooch he was making,
in the shape of a green leaf. "No,"
he agreed happily, "no dwarf
would."
