Just a Dream
He didn't know where he was. The air was moist, and there was water around his feet. A sense of foreboding filled the air.
Then--a bed? A boat. Slowly sliding into view, with his brother inside. Sleeping? Then he saw the wounds.
He screamed.
Faramir wrenched himself awake, sitting bolt upright, the covers flying off him in a panic. He took a few deep, shaky breaths.
"Faramir?" His lover followed him upright, wrapping strong arms around him. "What is it, love?"
"Just a dream," Faramir replied, leaning with relief into his brother's comforting embrace. "It was just a dream."
