Author's Note: You're all probably wondering about my plans for this story and the rest of my Marvel/Disney Channel shows crossover fics. Well, I came up with a system. I'll be doing a cycling order. such as the Owl Sanctum, the Black Panther of Amphibia, Iron Hero 7, The Ghost, the Trickster, and Molly McGee, Howard's Ducktales, Marvel Falls, and America and Star vs the Forces of Evil. Once I'm done with all that, I'll restart the system and go in the same order. So after this, I'll be moving onto the next chapter of the Owl Sanctum.
A couple of nights have passed since Star Butterfly had moved to Earth in America Chavez's apartment. Other than school, the two have been doing some casual living at home, which includes this night where they lay on the couch watching TV. America took the liberty of putting together a special treat for her new roommate.
"Get a load of these." America said presenting a box full of cheesy goo covering a pile of triangle chips. "Nachos."
"Ooh. Triangle food." Star said in amazement taking a chip.
The princess of Mewni was about to take a bite when suddenly, a flash of light opened up in the room. A small scissor blade appeared in thin air and raised itself up cutting open a portal right in front of the two surprised girls.
"What's happening?" America asked.
"I don't know." Star said. "It looks like someone's using interdimensional scissors to come to Earth."
"But who?" America asked.
All of a sudden, something small hovered through the portal. "Yo, what up, home fries!"
America looked in confusion at the dismembered, blue unicorn head still living and talking. Star on the other hand put on a big smile on her face.
"Flying Princess Pony Head!"
"What up, Star?" Pony Head asked. "We're going out tonight! You ready to make some bad choices?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Time out!" America interrupted. "Am I missing something here?"
"Oh, right." Star said. "America, this is my Mewni best friend, Pony Head. Pony Head, this is my Earth best friend, America Chavez."
"Best friend, huh?" Pony Head asked suspiciously.
"On Earth." Star repeated. "You're still my best friend on Mewni. And now, my besties are going to be besties!"
"I… guess." Pony Head said nervously. "Seriously, girl, it's time to go wild tonight."
"Tonight?" America asked. "Star, I thought we were just going to chill tonight."
"And we will." Pony Head said. "Believe it or not, the Bounce Lounge is the chilliest place in the entire Multiverse."
"Yeah! Come on, America!" Star said. "Besides, it's Friday night. And you said we don't have to go to school tomorrow, so we can stay out as late as we want."
"The Bounce Lounge huh?" America asked. "Well, I could use a night out and I happen to know the place."
"Awesome!" Star cried out. "We'll just use the dimensional scissors to…"
"No need, Star." America said cracking her knuckles. "I'll get you there."
"What? You must be trippin." Pony Head said. "These scissors were a gift from Heckapoo herself, and she's basically like the queen of interdimentional travel."
"I don't need scissors for this." America said. "Star, it's about time I show you a power that you haven't seen me use just yet."
Star squeaked in excitement standing back. Pony Head moved with her with an envious scowl. America took a deep breath before throwing a kick into the air. Suddenly, the empty space shattered like glass leaving a star-shaped light source floating in the middle of the room. Both Star and Pony Head were surprised at that.
"WHAT… IS… THAT?!" Star exclaimed.
"That is a portal to the Bounce Lounge." America said. "Well, let's head on in." She jumped into the portal and Star followed happily. Pony Head scowled before following.
The portal lead the three of them to a party on top of the cloud. They were careful to avoid the edge since it lead to a spikey bottom.
"THAT WAS SO COOL!" Star called out. "You can kick portals to other dimensions?"
"It's just one of my powers." America shrugged.
"You've got to tell me what else you can do!" Star said excitedly much to the dismay of Pony Head.
"Okay." America chuckled. "Portal creation. Super strength. Super speed. Flight. Invulnerability. Energy infusion. Superhuman longevity. And sometimes, when I hit somebody, stars manage to manifest from where I strike."
Pony Head groaned. "Yeah. Okay. We get it. You have a thing about stars or whatever."
"OH, MY GOSH! AND MY NAME IS STAR! I KNEW WE'D BE AWESOME FRIENDS, AMERICA!"
"Okay, okay. Take it easy, Star." America chuckled. "Let's just enjoy the party."
"You're right." Star said. "Ooh! Look at that!" She grabbed onto America and Pony Head thrusting them toward a photo booth. "Picture time!"
The three girls sat in the booth. Every few seconds, the camera took its picture while they were in different poses. After a few shots, it was over.
"Now, just you two!" Star said leaving the booth. "Good luck, besties!"
"Thanks, girl!" Pony Head said, but as soon as Star left, she dropped her façade and looked menacingly at America. "Listen. We are not besties. We're not even going t be second-besties."
The first photo flashed, but the two girls posed happily like nothing's wrong.
"Second besties?" America asked. "That's not a thing."
"Oh, so you wanna make this a thing?" Pony Head asked. A second photo flashed and the two acted normal. "Look, this night is really important to me. And I'm not going lose my best friend to someone like you. So if you keep trying to upstage me, you're gonna get the horn." She pointed her horn at America before leaving the photo booth, but America didn't flinch once.
"After everything I've been through, did she expect me to find that threatening?" America asked herself before leaving the booth.
America looked around and found Star dancing right next to Pony Head. She didn't think Pony Head was that much of a threat to her, but she still felt like she had to tell Star. Unfortunately, whenever she tried to approach her, Pony Head would fly on to dance in front of her seemingly on purpose.
At this point, America was getting annoyed wit Pony Head. So she managed to give her the slip and make it to Star.
"Hey, Star, there's something you should know." America said.
"What's that, Ames?" Star asked.
"It's Pony Head. She think I'm trying to steal you from her as a friend, so she threatened me in the photo booth." America answered.
Star stopped dancing and scratched the back of her head. "Oh. She did, huh? Sorry, America. I guess I should have known she'd get possessive."
"Is she always like that?" America asked.
"Now and then. But hey, I got an idea!" Star said. She turned to Pony Head who was dancing on top of another dancer. "Hey, Pony Head! What say we head on over to the Amethyst Arcade? I bet America will have fun there!"
"No way, girl! I'm getting my dance on!" Pony Head cried out. Then, suddenly, her eyes caught three figures in the distance that spooked her. She stopped dancing and hurriedly joined up with Star and America. "On second thought, you're right. I bet she'd love the arcade. Let's go there. This time, I'll open the portal." She used her dimensional scissors to open a portal and get in.
America looked suspicious. "Is it just me, or did Pony Head change her mind way too quickly?"
"I think she's warming up to you." Star said before jumping into the portal too. America took a quick glance behind her with an uneasy feeling inside of her. She didn't see anything suspicious, but something told her she had to keep her guard up.
After following Star and Pony Head through the portal, America took a moment to watch in surprise at the incredibly large arcade room made entirely out of crystals. Most of the residents there looked strangely like squares of different colors.
"That's a lot of video games." America commented.
"Look!" Star pointed at a video game with two platforms on it like in a dancing game. "It's Lance Lance Revolution! That's perfect! You guys play!"
"Fine by me." America said cracking her knuckles at Pony Head's direction.
"Same here." Pony Head said.
The two of them went onto the platforms, grabbed a lance, and began playing. America thrusted her lance wildly gripping it in her hands while Pony Head did the same holding onto the lance with her teeth.
"Is that all you got?" Pony Head asked keeping her focus on the jousting.
"Are you kidding me?" America returned. "I've faced more stressful situations back when I was a member of the Teen Brigade."
Suddenly, Pony Head's eyes widened and her jaw dropped allowing herself to drop her lance. Because of that lack of focus, America found her chance and won the game.
"Boom! And that's how we get things done on Earth!" America celebrated.
"Hold on! Back up!" Pony Head said. "Did you just say you're in the Teen Brigade?"
"Well, I was, but I'm on sabbatical right now." America said.
"What's the Teen Brigade?" Star asked.
"My old dimension-traveling superhero team." America said. "Did you think I fought the forces of evil across the Multiverse by myself? Nah, I had my own team who always had my back."
"That's cool. Right, Pony?" Star asked.
Pony Head started to sweat and chuckle nervously. "Uh, yeah. Really cool. Um… HEY, LOOK AT THAT OVER THERE!"
America turned her head which gave Pony Head the chance to open her own portal. After that, she pushed Star in and closed it behind her leaving America feeling dumb in the arcade.
"Can't believe I fell for that one."
The portal opened at a club called the Scum Bucket. Star and Pony Head landed right in front of a big dance party.
Star picked herself up looking confused. "Hold on. Pony Head, what…"
"COME ON, B-FLY! LET'S DANCE 'TIL WE GET SICK!" Pony Head interrupted. She tried to fly over to the crowd, but Star grabbed her neck to stop her.
"No, Pony!" Star said. "What's going on? Why'd we leave America behind?"
"Because she's a total buzzkill." Pony Head said. "Trust me, Star. If we keep her around, the party's going to end."
"The party already ended when you made me leave behind my best friend!"
"Hey! Last time I checked, the best friend was me!"
"I can have two best friends! Unless one of them is a friend-ditching jerk! I was so excited to have you meet America and have fun together! That's the biggest reason I was so excited about tonight!"
Pony Head's face dropped in a sad state of realization. "That buzzkill really mean that much to you?"
"She's the best buzz I've ever known."
Pony Head frowned and sighed. "Okay. Let's go get her."
America waited with her arms crossed and her mad face on when Pony Head's portal opened up in front of her. As soon as Star and Pony Head crossed through, America grabbed the latter by her horn and pulled her in roughly.
"Threatening me in a photo booth is one thing," America growled, "But trying to strand me in another dimension?"
"Hey, we're back, aren't we?" Pony Head asked. "By the way, why didn't you just follow us with your own portal-creating powers?"
"I didn't know where you were." America said. "I stayed here because I trusted Star to come back and drag you here."
"What's going on, Pony Head?" Star asked. "You've been possessive in the past, but this is nuts."
Pony Head sighed sadly. "I may owe you an apology. I guess I just freaked out and went cray-cray."
"Why?" America asked.
"Well…"
Suddenly, a sudden beam of light flashed right past the three. They turned to where it came from and saw three figures in the distance. They knew one thing for sure. One of them was holding onto a pistol in their direction.
"What's going on?" Star asked.
"MAKE A BREAK FOR IT!" Pony Head cried out. She flew away from the mysterious figures followed by Star and America.
The assailants began their chase. Two of them ran on their feet, but one of them spreat out a pair of wings from their arms and took to the sky. The running figure in the lead fired their energy pistol while the other one shot fire and ice blasts from their right and left hands respectively. Thankfully, they all missed.
"Who are these guys," America asked, "And why are they after us?"
"They're not here for you, home slice! They're here for me!" Pony Head confessed.
"What?" Star asked. "Why? What did you to?"
"Well, whatever it is," America said as she stopped and lifted up a crystal arcade machine, "They're not going to hurt anyone on my watch!" She threw it up to the flying figure. It grazed them just enough to make them fall.
"Okay! I admit, that was cool!" Pony Head said. "And trust me, I really mean it!" Her praise was cut short when one of the pistol blasts hit her directly. "OH, NUTS!" She suddenly dropped from the air landing on the ground.
"PONY HEAD!" Star gasped. "Are you all right?"
"Yeah. Just a little drained. That's all." Pony Head said. "Just gonna be better in a few minutes."
"Too bad you're long gone by then." Said the leading figure. The three assailants began to group up again getting closer.
"We got your back… of your head, I think." America said.
The leading figure took a good look and widened his eyes. "Hold on. America?"
America was surprised. She took a good look at the three figures and widened her eyes when their teenage appearances became clear as the crystals in the arcade. The guy with wings had white feathers, blonde hair, black leather suit, and a brown, chicken-like body. The one who shot fire and ice was a black-haired girl with a black domino mask, a black outfit, and two gauntlets (blue left and red right). The last guy, the one with the pistols, wore a sparkling, silver outfit with a white star on his chest. He had white pants, white hair, and red tribal tattoos on his arms.
"Nullifier?" America asked much to the confusion of Star. "Guys?"
Suddenly, America and the three strangers cheered and came to each other with a very warm embrace.
"I can't believe it's you guys!" America cheered. "How long as it been?"
"Two years, but who's counting?" the girl with the gauntlets asked.
"I am." The bird-like guy said.
"We have a lot to catch up on." The sparkle-shirted boy said.
"No kidding." America agreed. "Hey, where's the In-Betweener?"
"He's off doing his own thing. You know how he is." The bird guy said.
"Um, America," Star said, "Why do you suddenly know the guys who were attacking us?"
"Sorry about that?" the white-haired boy asked. "We didn't get a good look at anyone other than Princess Pony Head."
"Star, meet my old team, the Teen Brigade." America introduced. "The bird boy over there is Barnell Bohusk, but everyone just calls him Beak. The girl is Angel Salvadore. And sparkle-shirt here is my old partner, the Ultimate Nullifier."
Star gasped in excitement. "No way! You were America's old team? This is amazing! Wait… Why were you after us?"
"Sorry about that." The Ultimate Nullifier said. "We're just on a mission on behalf of King Pony Head."
"King Pony Head?" America asked. "Hey, princess, any relation of yours?"
"Yeah. He's my daddy." Pony Head frowned. "Oh, B-Fly, it's the end of the line for me. But at least I got in one last night with you, girl."
"One last night?" Star asked with worry. "Before what?"
Pony Head began to swell up in tears before finally admitting her secret. "Before this… I'm going to St. O's!" Star gasped at that while America looked confused.
"St. O's?" America asked. She turned to her old team for clarification.
"St. Olga's Reform School for Wayword Princesses." Ultimate Nullifier said. "Whenever a princess starts acting up and begin to cause trouble, their parents send them there for a bit of… behavioral assessment."
"You mean like how they're going to make her act like one of those girly fairy tale princesses?" America asked. "And you're all letting that happen?"
"If it was anyone else, we would've stayed out of it." Beak said. "But trust me, if there's anyone who deserves to go there, it's definitely her."
"She's endangered many lives and hospitalized several people," Angel said, "And all she did was party thinking there wouldn't be any consequences."
"Her father tasked us with escorting her to St. Olga's safely," the Ultimate Nullifier said, "But then, she turned the tables on us, swiped her dimensional scissors, and took off. We've been following her footsteps all night since."
"Pony Head, is all this true?" Star asked.
"Afraid so. I did it to myself." Pony Head said. "I knew I had to go to the slammer, and I just thought I'd spend my last night of freedom having fun with my BFF."
"So that's what you meant when you said this night was important to you." America said in realization.
"Yeah. Sorry about the whole… you know." Pony Head said. "Star was right. You are pretty cool."
America gave a little smile. "I know."
"My besties are finally besties!" Star said pulling America and Pony Head in for a big group hug.
"Well, guess that's it for me." Pony Head said. She pulled out her dimensional scissors and gave them to Star. "Here. I won't need 'em where I'm going."
"Thanks, Pony Head." Star said.
"So you ready to go?" Ultimate Nullifier said opening a portal with his own scissors. "No more fuss."
"I'm good." Pony Head said surrendering herself. "Well, maybe one more. DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME, Y'ALL! NO JAIL CAN HOLD ONTO ME FOR LONG!" She laughed until Angel tossed her into the portal.
"You have your own scissors?" America asked her old partner.
"Oh, yeah. You left, so we had Heckapoo hook us up with our own method of dimension traveling. I think she might be into me."
"If guys in glitter are her thing." Angel joked.
America laughed. "Man, have I missed you guys? If you ever want to catch up, you're always free to visit us over at Earth."
"Thanks. We will." Ultimate Nullifier said. "See ya, America." He and his team jumped through the portal before it closed.
"Wow. You just got three times more fun than you were when we met." Star said. "So do you want to go home via star power or scissor power?"
America shrugged. "Whatever you want. I'm just looking forward to chilling on the sofa eating nachos with my best friend."
"Aww. Thanks." Star said deciding to use her new scissors to open a portal home. She and America spent a relaxing night as soon as they returned to their apartment.
Author's Note: Did you like the Teen Brigade appearance. They're based on America Chavez's backstory in the comics. Although, I have omitted the In-Betweener because I couldn't get a good enough idea of what he's like. Sorry, but I did what I could. Hope you enjoyed it.
Any and all comments are welcome.
