Gleek Party, A Few Nights Later
.
.
"Hey guys, come in, come in!" Rachel smiles opening the door as the gleeks enter the small loft
"Here Rach, hope this is okay" Sam smiles, handing the brunette a bottle of wine,
"Why thank you Samuel!"
"You smell absolutely delicious!" Puck laughs wrapping his arms around the smaller girl.
"You better behave tonight Noah, I'm warning you'' Rachel laughs, hitting the man's arm.
As the drinks are poured, the loft is filled with laughter and chatter as the group converses.
"So" Artie begins "We heard Quinn is back"
Rachel nods taking another drink "She is"
"How's San handling it?" Puck asks, handing Finn another beer
"Well she doesn't remember anything about their relationship or Quinn at all for that matter, so" Rachel shrugs as everyone's mouths drop
"I'm sorry, what?" Puck is the first to break the silence "You're telling me that our very own, pussy whipped Santana Lopez does not remember THE pussy tamer herself, Quinn Fabray?"
"Please do not call them that and No" Rachel says, hitting the young man "Noah, do not be your inappropriate self when she gets here either!"
A smirk appears on his face "Hey if she's fair game, I just might have to…."
"Stop" Kurt warns as Rachel heads to the front door
Knock Knock
Quinn walks in removing her coat before entering the living room, where she's met with all the faces she's missed for almost five years.
"Hey guys" She shyly waves as Rachel hands her a drink, they take a seat with the group
"So where were you Q?" Puck questions, crossing his arms "San was pretty heartbroken that you just ditched her like that"
Quinn shakes her head "First of all, I didn't just ditch her Puck, Secondly no offense to any of you but I don't owe any of you shit. And lastly she wasn't the only one heartbroken. I'll explain it to Santana when she allows me too"
"Well she doesn't even remember you so" Tina exhales under her breath as Britt elbows her.
The tension was certainly thick tonight but Kurt and Rachel had managed to keep the air light and the drinks flowing.
A few more hours pass and Quinn is beginning to lose hope that her love will be joining them tonight, when suddenly the loft door flies open and in stumbles Santana, only this time she isn't alone.
The drunk giggling girls stumble into the kitchen, completely oblivious to the group staring at them. The shorter girls grabbed a few drinks before heading towards Santana's closed off part of the loft.
All eyes awkwardly shift back towards Quinn as she takes a seat on the couch, doing everything in her power to maintain her composure.
She reminds herself that this is all her fault and that isn't her Santana anymore.
.

.
"Dani, hang on" Santana slurs as the blonde continues to kiss her neck "All my friends are here, maybe we shouldn't"
Dani leans back "Are you serious right now?"
Santana huffs before nodding "Plus Quinn's here and things are already weird between us. And the rest of the group are all just out there waiting for me to…."
"Wait" Dani says, taking a step back "You're telling me that you don't want to hook up because your ex girlfriend is in the other room and it'll make things weird… for her? The same ex-girlfriend you told me randomly left you like however many years ago?"
"Dani, don't start. Look, why don't you just stay and we can have a few drinks and maybe hangout with everyone"
The blonde rolls her eyes "Why so you can gawk at your ex all night? Yeah no thanks"

.
"Hey" Sam says softly, touching Quinn's arm
"Hey"
"I'm sorry about Santana, you okay?"
Quinn shakes her head "Don't be, it's all my fault"
"She waited you know, hired a private investigator and everything, she couldn't find you"
Quinn places her hand over her heart as she leans her head on the boy's shoulder, looking towards the curtain covered area. She knew the Santana she had fallen in love with all those years ago was still in there; she just had to find a way back into the girl's heart.
Sam and Quinn continue talking a few minutes more before they hear a loud thud. The drunken and very angry girl storms out of Santana's room, marching out of the loft without another word. The door slams and all eyes turn back towards the brunette's room as Santana stumbles out, shrugging.
She braces herself against the wall, a lazy smile on her face as she observes her friends. Her vision blurred but her eyes focused on Quinn. They continue staring at each other before Sam leans in, whispering something into Quinn's ear.
And Santana's not sure what he's saying to Quinn exactly or why she cares but she is sure that she doesn't like him being that close to her.
She's not normally like this. What the hell is going on?
With the liquid courage coursing stronger through her veins, she makes her way over to the couch
"Bye trouty" She dismisses the boy with a wave of her hand and he huffs before retreating back towards Rachel. Santana carelessly leans against the wall as Quinn stands to face her
"I thought you weren't interested in talking to me"
A smirk graces Santana's lips and it takes all of Quinn's willpower not to lean in and kiss that smug look off the girl's face.
"Oh, don't flatter yourself, I'm not" Santana huffs "I just didn't like trouty over here trying to talk to you thinking he stands a chance"
Quinn smiles because that's the woman she fell in love with, the woman who saved her countless times from jerks at frat parties.
"Why? Are you jealous, Santana Lopez?" Quinn smiles, leaning closer into the girl's space.
Santana's breath hitches slightly before a smirk re-appears "You wish, blondie"
Santana smiles once more before retreating back to her room and shutting the curtain.
Quinn exhales before joining the group in the kitchen
"I saw that" Kurt whispers, elbowing the blonde
"She's in there Kurt, I just have to win her back"
The young man smiles, placing his arm around the blonde "If anyone can do it, it's you Quinn. Just be careful with her, she was really torn apart and I have no doubt you were too"
The friends continue their small talk, as the hours pass the gleeks begin to leave one by one. Kurt offers his room to the blonde but she declines accepting the pillow and blanket, making herself at home on the couch.
Just as Quinn's eyes began to close, a crashing sound came from the kitchen, she reaches for the lamp, "San, are you okay? Why are you on the floor?"
Santana puts her hands up laughing "Beats me. The room was spinning but don't worry, it's not anymore. You're safe"
Quinn shakes her head, helping the slurring girl to her feet. She quickly grabs a glass of water and some aspirin before walking Santana back to her room. After tucking her in, Quinn gently sweeps a stray hair behind the girl's ear
"Quinn" Santana whispers
"Yeah San?"
"You looked" The brunette yawns "Really beautiful tonight."
A smile finds the blondes lips "Thanks"
Santana slowly nods, allowing sleep to finally take her over.

"You know" Rachel turns, holding the spatula "For someone who and I quote not interested, you sure do talk about Quinn a lot"
"The fuck?" Santana huffs standing from the fridge "I do not"
"Ha!" Kurt laughs, buttoning up his shirt "You do, Santana. We've heard countless times how good Quinn looked at the party a few days ago."
"Fuck you guys, I do not"
"Oh really?" Kurt makes his way towards the brunette "Then why did you stop her from talking to Sam?"
"What?!" Rachel yells, carelessly tossing the pancake into the stack.
Santana shoots Kurt a warning look before shrugging towards Rachel "It was nothing, Trouty was getting a little touchy feely and Quinn didn't seem to be enjoying it. It was no big deal"
Kurt and Rachel shoot each other a look before setting the table
"It's perfectly okay to be intrigued by her, Santana. Lord knows we've had to hear our fair share over the years"
"Just think about it" Kurt smiles "Or don't. You're Santana Lopez, you can do whatever you want, don't forget!"
.
.
Santana leaves the loft, heading towards work. Her thoughts swirling around Quinn, there were so many unanswered questions but she knew one thing for certain, when the blonde was around the air seemed to change for Santana. Almost as if her body knew something she didn't.
Looking up, she smiles, the smell of freshly brewed coffee hitting her senses, shaking all thoughts. Quickly ordering her usual, she pulls her jacket a little tighter before continuing her journey.
All day she sits at her desk, thinking, debating on what she should do.
"Stop being a little bitch, Lopez"
Santana's eyes shoot up and her office door opens
"What do you want Puckerman"
He smirks, closing the door "You, me and a tub of"
"Do not!" Santana huffs "Finish that sentence"
Puck laughs taking a seat "Relax San, I'm here because
I know you and you've probably racked that sexy ass brain all day"
"What the hell do I do Puck?"
"Let me ask you this, if you met Quinn on the street or at a club. Would you fuck"
Santana rolls her eyes Don't, don't do that to her. You know, It's no surprise why you're still single"
Puck smiles sitting back "I've known you forever, we've always been bros and talked like this but she was always the one off limits. Here" He says laying a piece of paper on her desk "It's Quinn's number. No one is saying marry the girl but we both know she's hot and she's not gonna be around forever. I saw Evans at the party, trust me, he's wanted her since college. Just think about it, least have some fun?"
Santana huffs, reaching for the paper "You're such a pig, Puckerman"
"Ah but you love this pig and we used to kill it together"
He winks once more before walking over to her and kissing the top of her head "Love you San, no matter what you decide." Quickly gathering his jacket he exits the office.
