"What do you mean? Explain what Rei?" The Queen asked her friend.
Rei frowned. What was this all about if not for her and SunTzu's relationship.
"Did Ami already inform you?" Usagi asked Rei further.
Ami shortly looked up from her datapad.
"No, I didn't. I waited for you."
SunTzu and Rei looked at each other and let out a deep breath. Obviously their cover wasn't blown yet.
They almost celebrated with a hug, but that most likely would have blown their cover.
The couple locked eyesjust as their hands rose and just stopped mid motion, settling down again.
"I got you here because Ami needs help with a specific task. And since you already helped her a lot of times, SunTzu, i thought you were the obvious choice. And you, Rei, are here because SunTzu might need some backup and I heard that the two of you fight quite well alongside each other. Ami, if you would fill them in with details."
"Of course." Ami started and got up. With a remote control she started the TV and linked her datapad with it.
"We're getting information of more and more criminal groups on earth aspire to work on a galactic scale or cooperate with groups from off earth."
She clicked on the remote and the picture showed a grainy picture of a group of men.
"These are members of the Salakau Gang, a criminal organization from Singapore. We have Intel leading to reasonable season that they want to smuggle weapons from earth to an yet undisclosed location in the Outer Rim."
She clicked further and showed some pictures of single persons of the organization.
"That's all good and stuff. But what do you need us for?"
"Yeah, I was just about to get to this. We're pretty understaffed when it comes to field agents and need someone to observe their office in Shanghai. The good thing is, observing the office is no problem because the neighboring skyscraper is a hotel we can quarter you in."
"So, you're telling us we just have to occupy the hotel room and take a look out of the window once in a while?" SunTzu asked.
"It's a bit more difficult than this but basically yes. We will provide a fake background for you two. You'll travel into the country as newlyweds on their honeymoon. Nobody came up with a better story why you'd be in your hotel room most of the time and don't want to get disturbed. So we really wouldn't mind if you could play the part."
Rei and SunTzu looked at each other, trying to stay calm and not grin too wildly. This was too perfect. Was Ami doing this on purpose?
"The background permits flying in with AICA and traveling with guns though. But if things really go south you still got Sailor Mars's power and your force abilities."
"I'm sure grabbing the remote from afar will save our lives." Rei commented to mock SunTzu. "But don't worry, I'll burn us out of danger, if any should arise."
"Rei, please try to get along with SunTzu on this trip. Ami told me how important it is to get some Information to the people behind that. It seems they're backed from the same power that instigated the war."
Okay, the Queen really doesn't have any idea about me and Rei.
"I'll try my best to not hurt him." Rei answered reluctantly.
Except for scratching and biting both Rei and SunTzu thought.
"But don't expect me to save TopGun from any stupid ideas he might have. And I'm gonna generously use room service to calm myself down in his presence."
"Okay, I'll permit that. But just because SunTzu, Mako and Ami got so much extra money in lately. And you're still flying Buisness and not First Class." Queen Serenity the Second said and gestured her approval.
Rei smiled a winner's smile, this was too easy.
"I'll be around too with a small team. We'll do the outside and electronic observation. An Agent will be on the ground already when we arrive." Ami explained further, leading her into a long monologue about the mission's specifics.
Some twenty minutes later Rei and SunTzu left the Royal Quarters, trying not to start cheering about what they just heard.
"I need a cigarette now." Rei stated as they both walked into the elevator. She was pretty sure there was a camera filming in here and that was the only thing keeping her from jumping onto SunTzu and celebrating their new mission with a fierce make-out-session.
They went out to his favorite bench and each lighted a cigarette before they couldn't hold in anymore and both started to laugh out loud.
"Oi, what's so funny?" Haruka, who was walking up from the dining hall to the Crystal Tower with Michiru, asked while they passed by.
"Your flying!" SunTzu yelled back.
"Oh, as soon as the beard starts growing back again the balls do too?"
They two pilots greeted each other with raised middle fingers and a smile as Haruka and Michiru walked across them in a small distance and headed on to the tower.
"Wow, you and Haruka are the two most classy officers I know." Rei stated bluntly with an irritated look on her face. She didn't understand, it was a pilot thing.
Two days later the undercover lovers turned fake newlyweds were sitting at the departure lounge on Tokyo's Haneda Airport, waiting for their boarding.
They sat next to each other holding hands and her head lay on his shoulders. The weather was sunny in Tokyo and tropical hot and humid in Shanghai so the two were already dressed for the occasion. She was wearing hot pants, large hat and a top and he wore a Hawaii Shirt and a bucket hat. Both were having hoodies with them, it wasn't that hot in Tokyo yet.
They still couldn't believe that the mission actually called for them to play a couple in Love.
As they were sitting on one of the benches with seats next to their check in counter a man in a blue suit sat himself down behind them, opening a newspaper.
"I'm glad to see you already act the part, Diplomat. Lieutenant. Captain Urawa sents her greetings, she's already in Shanghai with another agent. I'll be taking the same flight as you, but of course we'll be seated separately. You can call me Agent Smith."
Of course that wasn't his real name.
The pilot and the diplomat still held their gaze forward, when SunTzu answered with a hushed voice.
"Thank you Agent Smith. Let us know if we can strengthen the credibility of our performance. We're petty new to this."
She pressed his hand, forcing herself not to laugh.
"It's acceptable for the time being. You're both doing quite a good job."
Rei had to cover her mouth to not start laughing. They would give him a performance worthy an Oscar.
Soon the beginng of the boarding was announced and they stepped on the plane.
Unfortunately Agent Smith didn't get a ticket for the businesses class and had to fly coach in the back. Too bad.
They toasted to his health when they got their welcoming champagne.
The false newlyweds then toasted to themselves and shared a kiss. Their fake honeymoon was about to start.
Approximately seven hours later the machine landed on Singapore's Changi Airport.
The two love birds got their luggage and went to customs. Their counterfeit documents withstood the controls at the foreign airport also, not that anybody was expecting the contrary. At the arrival area a man, dressed in a dark suit and tie, was holding up a shield with their fake last name. Royal Intelligence, nobody else would be stiff enough to wear a tie in this tropical heat.
Rei was fanning at herself with a tourist brochure she took at the customs, letting out a deep breather, wearing shades when they stepped out in the airport and marched into the wall of hot, humid air that dominated Singapore.
The Intelligence Agent was helping SunTzu with the luggage and he lead them to a small minivan.
The agent stowed their suitcases in the back of the car and got in the driver seat. As they got in they were greeted by Ami, wearing a dark blue blazer and the fitting pencil skirt. She was sitting on the co-driver's seat and was turned around to them.
"If that isn't our newlywed couple. I hope you two had a pleasant flight."
"Ami, what a surprise to meet you here! It's a small world, isn't it?" SunTzu told her, making Rei giggle and earning him a frown from the Intelligence Service Captain, that also was one of his closest friends.
"Please you two, don't forget why your here. This is an important mission."
"Yeah, yeah, we know that. Is the AC on?" Rei asked still fanning some fresh air to herself.
Ami sighed and turned around again.
"Let's go." She told the driver.
"Whatever happened to Agent Smith? If that is his real name?" SunTzu asked. "I hope he was doing good back at the economy class."
"Agent Smith takes a cab to the city and catches up with us later. After we brought you to the hotel."
"Competent man. I like his eyes for the detail." SunTzu stated, before he was hit by Rei's brochure.
45 Minutes later, it was around 5pm then, they arrived at their five star hotel and the driver unloaded their luggage from the Minivan. Ami told them that they'd had till tomorrow to acclimate and said her goodbye before the Minivan left the hotel driveway again.
The couple entered the hotel and went up to the reception.
They were politely greeted by the concierge and asked for their name.
"Mustermann. Max Mustermann. And my lovely wife Akira."
SunTzu told their fake names.
"We're here for our honeymoon." Akira Mustermann aka Rei Hino chimed in with a big smile.
"Ah yes. The junior suite. The page will take your luggage up." The clerk told them, after they finished the check-in.
This is getting better and better, the Junior Suite! Umino probably will get an aneurysm when he'll see the expenses for this mission.
The page brought them up to their room in the twenty third floor of the twenty five floors high building.
Mister Mustermann of course took the chance to carry his bride over the threshold. The bride answered with a loud giggle.
Ami, genius as she was, thought of everything and even had handed them some cash. SunTzu gave the page a decent tip and closed the door behind the young man.
Rei was examining the suite in the meantime.
"Remind me to update my Linked-In-Profile on how much I love my employer. You won't believe this. Shit, they even gifted us a bottle of champagne."
He walked inside the room and walked over to her. On a table in the room was a cooler with a bottle of Rose Champagne and two glasses. A card was attached on the bottle, stating that the hotel complimented the couple to their wedding.
Before doing anything else they opened the bottle, spilling just a minor bit and just almost hit a lamp on the ceiling and toasted to the perks of being in secret mission for the Royal Kingdom of Crystal Tokyo.
They emptied the glasses while they inspected the suite, being amazed by their accommodation. Perfect for newlyweds. Or a fresh couple that had to keep things on the down low.
They even didn't make it to their private balcony before they threw themselves on each other.
Two hours later they were getting ready for dinner in the hotel's restaurant.
She was wearing a tight little black dress and he was sporting a black suite and a black shirt.
"I'm actually surprised that you packed something else than Hawaii shirts." She said as she put in her earrings.
"To be honest, I'm expecting to don't need clothes here most of the time anyways."
"Fair point."
"Talking about fair points. Carrying you over the treshold was unassailably won this time."
She thought about this for a moment. Getting Rose Champagne licked off of your body in a 5 star hotel suite was pretty decent but no. Just too much for his ego if she'd give him that win.
"Nope. You got handled too." She had a fair point also.
She put on her new Cartier Watch and stepped out of the luxurious bathroom.
"How do i look?" She asked him.
"Let's say, I understand why Max Mustermann married you."
The dinner was exquisite, they had some fine variations of famous local food. After a drink at the hotel bar the Mustermanns were seen going back to their suite. Newlyweds.
Rei and SunTzu opted to go to bed rather early since they didn't know when Ami would need them tomorrow, that was at least the main reason they went to their bedroom early.
Just in case they even prepared what looked like a sleeping place on the suite's sofa.
Next morning at point 8am Ami called them and told them to be in front of the hotel at 9:30.
When they came out of the hotel, after a quick breakfast delivered by room service, the minivan from yesterday was already waiting for them again.
Dressed in a typical touristic attire they entered and the van drove off.
The driver drove around the city, giving the illusion that he was actually doing a sightseeing tour of the city state. In reality a moving vehicle was harder to trace and the couple got briefed by Ami again. She also handed them a camera with a big objective and a tripod for the observation.
Two hours later and a few mental notes to visit some of the places they saw from inside the car if they'd find the time they were back at the hotel.
Their observation was to start at 1pm so they had time to at least enjoy a small lunch. They opted for the famous street food and shared a soup and some barbecued stingray. The food in Singapore was the bomb.
Afterwards they went up to their room again and SunTzu installed the camera. The camera was targeted towards a neighboring office building a few stories taller. From a window at their room a big office with just one big table and some expensive looking decoration was visible. Probably the Gangleader's office. They also could see in the lounge in front of the office room that made out quite a lot of the whole floor.
SunTzu draw the curtains in a way so that the camera was not visible but the eyesight of it was having a good luck at the scenery.
He saw that the camera had an USB-Connect and that gave him an idea.
He brought up his chrono.
"AICA?"
"Well, well, well. If that isn't the unfaithful Meatbag that left me alone here for his girlfriend and a paid trip to Singapore?"
"I'm very happy to hear you too. And I'm doing wonderful, thank you."
"I'm very pleased that you enjoy burning the kingdom's tax money while me and Hotaru work hard to be the future of our Starfighter Forces."
"Is she with you right now?"
"I'm here. Good afternoon." Hotaru came on.
"Whatcha guys doing?"
"Where somewhere over the pacific right now, in formation with the Voyager."
"Good. Keep it up kiddo. I wanna know all parts of progress when I come home."
SunTzu paused for a moment.
"AICA, I need you to do me a favor. Can you ping my datapad and see if you can get access to the camera I'm connecting it too?"
He conncected the camera and his datapad via an USB-Cable. A few moments later came on again.
"Check, I'm getting the data. What about it?"
"Can you record it. And inform me if something happens?"
"No problem. I can do that. Hotaru you still need life support systems? The boss wants me to play surveillance camera."
"Excuse me?" Both Hotaru and SunTzu sounded off.
"Hey that was just a joke. A little bit of data transfer and reading a camera is nothing for an advanced piece of technology as I am. Relax!" A moment passed. "Recording now, alarm set if something moves."
"Not funny!" SunTzu scolded the AI.
"But I know where she has her sense of humor from." Rei chimed in from behind SunTzu.
"Oh, hey Rei! Is he behaving in order?" AICA asked her human friend and Rei leaned over the chrono.
"Hi AICA, Hi Hotaru-Chan! Well, you know him. But the food and the view make up for most it."
"Hey, what does that suppose to mean?" SunTzu replied to her with a frown.
"Listen, Mister and Misses Mustermann have to get back to their honeymoon now. Talk to you guys later."
Rei tipped on the chrono and ended the call.
"Hey, why you ended the call?"
"Therefore." She jumped onto him and they started kissing him passionately.
A few hours later and SunTzu was actually observing the office right now when something actually happened and a group of nine men entered the lounge trough an elevator.
Suits and flashy silk shirts. Gang Members.
An elderly man with a big scar across his chest entered the office and sat down behind the table. This was the boss so.
"Babe? You wanna see the local mob?" He asked Rei, who was laying down on the sofa, reading a book.
She got up and walked over to him, sitting down next to him. He moved away from the camera and let her see through.
"Uhh, they have their own Tony Montana as boss. And those shirts make them fly as a mother." She laughed and zoomed in to the office. "Call Ami and let her know."
They stayed there the rest of the afternoon and early evening, observing the scene. The activity became stale pretty soon because nothing actually happened. The boss executed a few phone calls and the others were just sitting around, smoking and drinking.
In the early evening the group left.
"Wow, and we have to do that for how long now?" Rei stated, seemingly annoyed.
"A week."
"Great." She paused for a moment. "Well it was to good to be true anyway."
They called Ami again and gave her the news. She said, that they knew that the gang's cars were moving, they bugged them and Agent Smith was on them in disguise. She also told her two friends that they were off till something would happen in the group's office but not to stroll away too much. The hotel's restaurant was okay for example. Then she hung up.
"Well, that's all I need. Some food and you." Rei told him and hugged him from behind as he still was observing the now dark office.
Wait, no mocking?
The observation went on and the group of criminals visited the office on various times and differing in the length of the visit. Nothing exciting happened though.
On the fourth day Rei was looking through the camera seeker.
"Hey! Don't move so much, I'm gonna loose the focus."
She was sitting naked on the equally naked SunTzu who laid on the floor. AICA informed them that the camera was tracing movement while the Mustermanns were just in their afternoon exercises.
They decided to keep up the activity and just change the location from the sofa to the camera.
"Anything new?" He asked her.
"Nope." She paused for a moment and let out a moan before she got back to looking through the camera's seeker. "Hey, Tony is wearing the same shirt from two days ago."
On the early morning of the fifth day someone secretly and quietly opened the door to their suite.
Rei and SunTzu were already awake although busy with each other and didn't notice the intruder.
Suddenly the door to their bedroom burst open. The two lovers jumped and covered their nudity with their blankets.
"Oh my god!" A shocked Ami stood in front of them.
"AMI!" Rei and SunTzu shouted surprised.
"I… I, I'm sorry." Ami blushed a deep red and turned around.
Rei, sitting atop, holding a blanket up her chest reacted first.
"Listen Ami, we can explain."
"It's not that. I know that there's something going on between you two. You don't have to be a genius to see that." She sighed. "I just thought you guys wouldn't be such a mess and have the decency to not have sex the morning I said I'm coming over."
"Hey, you said morning, not shortly after dawn. And also you could have knocked before."
"Whatever. I'm waiting in the other room, get dressed you.. you animals."
The Intelligence Agent left the room and closed the door behind her.
SunTzu and Rei were still on the bed.
SunTzu embraced Rei, taking her in his arms.
"Ami called us a mess." He said with a smile and kissed her head.
"Oh, we are. A beautiful mess." She turned and kissed him before they got up and dressed.
"For real Ami, next time shoot us a message or call when you come over." Rei said, as she entered the other room, dressed in a bathrobe.
"As if you would have noticed." She inhaled deep. "At least I can say you're playing your roles perfectly."
A few minutes later SunTzu came out of the bedroom too, now dressed. Rei had ordered Breakfast in the meantime and was enjoying it with coffee.
"Ami, you have to try this Kaya Toast. It's delicious."
The blue haired woman absently grabbed a piece and took a bite while she was checking something in her datapad.
"Mhm, that's good."
She looked up as SunTzu stopped at the table and poured himself some coffee.
"The suspects are meeting up for breakfast in a hawker area right now. Agent Smith is observing them."
SunTzu took a sip of coffee and looked at Ami.
"What Intel you have gotten so far." He asked her.
"Unfortunately not as much as we like to have."
"I see, so except for horrendous spendings because Misses Mustermann loves the room service too much we achieved nothing yet."
"Hey!" Rei protested between bites from her toast. SunTzu lovely caressed her cheek, removing some crumbles. Then he took a piece of toast too.
"Well, we do know where they usually are and have them under quite a tight surveillance net."
"Okay. And that gives us?"
"Something to work with. Be patient."
"Compromise. I'll give you till tonight. And then I'll handle the whole thing and bring you some data. I'm tired to sit around here and look out the window." SunTzu stated.
"Yeah, I just saw how bored you two are." Ami stated with a hint of sarcasm. "But okay, if we don't have any new Intel till tonight, I allow you to retrieve data your way. But be warned, we're not officially here and backed by the Palace. If we blow our covers we're in the midst of an international incident. I'm sure your girlfriend can tell you what that means."
Rei's eyes widened.
"You didn't tell me this Ami." She told her friend.
"I thought it was obvious. Why did you think I told you, no matter what happens, to not transform? Because it would be traceable to the Kingdom." Ami looked back at SunTzu. "So this means, no air support, no special forces backup, no traces. Do you understand me?"
SunTzu nodded. Sure. But he'd come up with something.
They finished breakfast and took turns observing the office. The gang got their in the early afternoon. But as in the last five days nothing really happened.
Afternoon passed and the sun went down. He even gave Ami time till 10pm before he said something. She was sitting on the camera, observing the office.
"So Ami, any new Intel yet?" SunTzu asked the Intelligence Service Captain.
The woman let out a big sigh.
"Unfortunately not. But it's not that SunTzu can just go over there and shoot his way into the office."
"Oh, we're not talking about SunTzu getting the Intel. We're talking about Max Mustermann. He's a bit more subtle."
Rei laughed, too much of a through pass.
"As if. And I should know, I'm his fake wife."
"Please, don't do anything to blow our cover." Ami pleaded, looking worried.
"Don't worry, I won't. I just need to talk to someone on the phone. Ami, " Sent me the vehicle movement patters of them please." SunTzu replied, pulling out his phone and leaving into the bed room.
"We both know who he's calling, right?" Rei asked her fellow Senshi.
"Maybe we should start packing up already. I have a feeling we will have to leave in a hurry."
A few minutes later he came out of the bedroom again.
"I also need Agent Smith's Number. You two should head out for dinner, I'll give you news. I don't think I'll need longer than one hour."
He walked over to Rei and kissed her.
"Please tell me you're taking extra care." She said and laid her head on his chest.
"Oh don't worry, this one will go extra smooth. It's not one of my usual dumb ideas." He turned around to Ami. "Don't worry I won't blow our cover."
"I don't want you to go alone." Rei told him, still having her head against his chest. He looked at her with a stoic, determined look and gestured to the ground.
"You stay here." He paused and sighed. "Don't worry. I'll be back. I swear on the love Max Mustermann has for his Akira."
He kissed her forehead before he walked off. On the way out he used the force to let an ice pick glide into his hand from the mini bar counter in the suite, and causally tugged it in between his Bermuda shorts and Hawaii shirt while he started to whistle a song
Rei and Ami followed him out of the room with their gazes.
Damn, he can be so ridiculously cool if he wants too.
Also, did he just told me that he loves me?
SunTzu walked out of the hotel and crossed over to the office building. He went inside the lobby of the building. Bored guy in colorful silk shirt sitting near the elevator. Ah yes, the door guard. He went over to the reception and asked for the toilet in his heaviest accent, making an Se out of every The. Lost tourist needing to take a piss. Of course he was allowed to use their rest rooms.
He left the room a few minutes later and on the way out acted like he just noticed the mob member. With pointing and thumbs up he complimented the man's shirt and asked in snatchy English where the man had the shirt from.
The happy Gang Member told him something from a street market somewhere and for this information SunTzu motioned the man to invite him for a cigarette as a thank you.
Of course the man didn't decline. But smoking on the street wasn't allowed in Singapore, but the gang member motioned SunTzu to follow. He went to the elevator with him and drove down to the building's underground garage. SunTzu nestled out a cigarette and gave it to the man as the elevator doors opened and they stepped out. The man was just about to light his cigarette when SunTzu snatched him from behind and stabbed the ice pick into the man's ear. The man stopped moving after a few seconds and ended his truggle to free him from his grip.
Sailor Saturn was right, killing someone in close combat was way more personal than shooting him.
He checked the man's pockets and waist and found a Pistol and car keys. That's all he needed. He used the remote open key and the lights of one dark blue BMW next to two other BMWs lighted up. He grabbed the man and carried him over to the car where he disposed him in the car's trunk.
The Pilot called up Agent Smith.
Afterwards he took the bloody ice pick and sent it up to the top floor with the elevator before he left out of the emergency exit of the garage.
He walked out the door and back to the street. A taxi was waiting in front of the building.
The Pilot got in the backseat.
"Good evening Agent Smith. I see your into driving cabs these days."
"Mister Mustermann, how's the wife?"
"Enjoying the honeymoon to the fullest."
"Glad to hear. How can I help you?"
"There will be three BMWs leaving the building's garage any moment, follow them in a discreet distance. We're going to Sentosa."
Just as he finished his sentence three BMWs, one of them containing a dead body rushed out of the nearby exit of the underground garage.
Agent Smith set the indication and rolled back on the street too.
In the back of the taxi SunTzu put in one of his wireless headphones and grinned. Everything was running exactly according to the plan.
They stayed in distance but after the first rush the BMWs slowed down a bit. SunTzu was right, they were obviously moving to the island of Sentosa.
Soon after they started the chase, Thunder was heard in the air. Smith looked up to the sky, trying to make out the source of the rumbling.
"Republic of Singapore Air Force F16Cs." SunTzu stated to his cab driver and smiled again.
As they were leaving the urban areas on Sentosa SunTzu told Agent Smith to slow a bit down. They were coming to a part of the street overviewing parts of the island's coast on one side and dense vegetation on the other side. They almost lost visual contact to the vehicles as suddenly a red laser beam struck the front of the first BMW, killing the driver. The vehicle broke through the side rail and fell down the cliffs. In the meantime two more laser beams hit the other cars. The vehicle that was in the middle stopped and the last BMW crashed into it.
"Now you can close up Agent." SunTzu told his driver and grinned. While surviving Mob Members, some injured from the crash, crawled out of the two cars and draw their weapons a black and grey A-Wing hovered up and shot everyone with a small blaster on his downside. Everyone except the scarred boss of the gang. The man was sitting on the ground and shocked had to observe how his men were shot down by the starfighter. A cab stopped next to him and one of the back doors opened.
"Please help me, take me away from here!" The shocked criminal yelled out to the European dressed in Bermudas and Hawaii shirt that climbed out of the taxi.
But the man just grinned at him before giving a Hang Loose Sign to the Starfighter.
"Who are you?" The mob boss asked.
"Mustermann. Max Mustermann." SunTzu answered before he struck the criminal down with a firm punch to the temple.
"Hey SunTzu! Dope Shirt!", came out of AICA's speaker.
He told AICA to come alone. But he also wasn't surprised to hear Hotaru from inside.
With a low voice he spoke into his chrono.
"Cadet, you're awfully far away from home."
"Mom knows I'm on patrol." The teenager answered, defending herself.
Yeah, but Mom probably doesn't know that you're on patrol in a starfighter some 7000 kilometers away from Tokyo.
"We talk about that when we I come home. And now see to get out of here. They won't take that bait forever. Nevertheless, outstanding work girls." He gave a small salute to his ship and the girl inside as they veered away and after a wave of AICA's wing as goodbye, they rocketed away, flying out to the ocean, a few meters above the sea.
In the meantime Agent Smith had the mafia boss detained and loaded up onto the taxi's backseat. A stun shot from the blaster made sure he wouldn't wake up the next few hours.
The two loyal officers of the crystal crown the loaded the dead gangsters into the cars, thank god, that blaster shots didn't make much of a mess.
Then they opened the handbrakes of the two BMWs and rolled the cars down where the first car of the convoy went.
Just five minutes later they were gone from the scene, going back to the city and not even half a hour later the car stopped in front of the Maxwell Food Center, and a relaxed looking Max Mustermann, although this wasn't his right name, deboarded. Next to him a seemingly sleeping man stayed inside as the taxi rolled back into the traffic and vanished into the night.
"Thanks for the headsup. I'm glad you guys got home without any trouble. Tell Hotaru to go to bed. I'll talk to you tomorrow." SunTzu told AICA on his chrono after she gave him the location of Rei's mobile phone. Another glance at the chrono revealed him, that the whole operation just took a bit more than one and a half hours.
He entered the foodcourt and looked around till he found the two woman.
"This place taken?"
He sat down next to Rei and stole her a leg from her Curry Crab while doing so as the two girls looked up in surprise.
"Baby!" Rei quickly wiped her mouth with a napkin and flung her hands around his neck.
"Guten Abend" He said dryly in German.
He hold up his phone, revealing that someone was on the line.
"Ami, i think someone wants to talk to you."
Ami took the phone and turned around.
Rei pressed her lips on his, pulling him close.
"I was so worried." She said, when she released him from her grip
"I can see." He nodded and sucked out the meat out of the leg. He nodded admiringly. The crab tasted awesome.
"No really. Ami had to literally drag me here to get my mind off you."
He smiled and glanced over to Ami.
"How did it go?" Rei asked.
He answered with a nod to Ami, who just finished talking on the phone. SunTzu took her phone from her. She looked at him, face full of surprise.
"I don't know how you actually came up with this plan nor how you could pull it like that, but that was one great stunt." Ami shook her head in disbelief.
He shrugged his shoulders and smiled a broad, victorious smile.
"I told you to leave it to Max Mustermann. Now if the ladies would excuse me, I'll go and get some food."
He came back with a plate of steaming food and a sugar cane juice. While they ate, Ami pumped SunTzu for details from his plan.
Some few minutes later he was almost done with letting her know about his plan.
"So, AICA projected a fake star ship on the other side of the city while she came In from the ocean." Ami asked for that part, how AICA could enter Singapore without detection.
"She has this countermeasure system where she ejects miniature drones that can mimic the radar signature of a small sized freighter. It's pretty expensive and not something for close up dog fighting but it has it's Pros. And as soon as everyone thought that there was space smuggler entering airspace near Shanghai she had a free pass. Everybody was looking the other way and the radar signature of a flock of birds didn't interest anyone anymore."
"I have to say, even I'm impressed how you pulled that one TopGun. Actually me and Ami were getting ready to kidnap a plane to get out of this country." Rei stated rather sarcastically although her glance stated how proud and happy she was.
He smiled, AICA truly was the most sophisticated fighter in existence. And he was her pilot. Well at least her first one, as Hotaru was still in training.
Ami told them she would meet up with the other two agents at their safe house.
"As reward for your outstanding work today, I'll leave you two love birds on your own for tonight. I'll be at your room tomorrow morning at 8." She pondered for a moment. "Okay, let's say 9. But please, please be dressed this time."
They left the building, and Ami and the couple wished each other a good night before Ami boarded the Minivan the Royal Intelligence used around here.
"So Husbando, where to?" Rei asked her boyfriend.
"We go, wherever Akira wants to go." Her boyfriend and false husband stated.
The couple left for the Marina Bay Sands and it's world famous rooftop bar.
They enjoyed a cocktail and the view and began to play their favorite sightseeing game.
"Not bad for a view but can't compare to the Crystal Tower." She stated and took a sip from her glass.
"Yeah, that Gardens at the Bay is another total failure at trying to compete with our royal courtyard. Ugh, I have to drink down the bad taste that this leaves in my mouth."
Rei started laughing as he took a big sip from his drink with a disgusted face.
"We totally should visit this garden tomorrow if we can. You know to judge it from near." Rei said and laughed again.
"Definitely, I want to spit on these trees to show my disgust." The raven haired beauty totally fell into a fit of laughter after SunTzu said that.
After calming down again, Akira Mustermann, that was her not real name though, put her hands around her false husband, bit her lips and then pulled him down to a sensual kiss.
"I'm glad everything went that well. I really was worried about you."
"See, that's why I wanted you in the hotel. So i don't have to worry about you my dear."
He took her hand that was on his face.
"Honestly everything went even better than I expected." He started to grin. "And I managed to give us two complete days off in this awesome city."
She started giggling.
"I still can't believe this is an official mission."
"I have to do more of this undercover stuff with you. You should have seen the trouble me and Ami run into the first time we went to take away money from the enemy." He started to smile also. It was close back then.
"Oh next time you do some gangsta shit this ride or die chick is down with you. And now you can take my pretty ass back to the crib."
They spent the next two days with sightseeing and used the chance to enjoy their being together as a couple to the fullest, without any need to hide their relationship.
Ami left a day before them with the third agent.
The morning they left one of Singapore's most notorious crime lords was found constrained on a chair outside of a police station. Including evidence about his crimes. Just a few days after three cars with the corpses of his henchmen and close circle were found in the ocean near Sentosa.
People began to speculate that maybe a crime fighting vigilante or a rogue cop were responsible.
SunTzu read the local English speaking paper at the airport while Mister and Misses Mustermann, waited for the boarding to their flight back to Tokyo.
A man sat down opposite to the couple that held hands while the woman's head rested on his shoulder.
"Mister Smith, glad to see you again. Going home too?"
"Misses Mustermann. Mister Mustermann, it's my pleasure to see you again. Yes. And I see we take the same flight again."
"I hope you're trip was successful."
"More than that. A coworker from home helped us out immense here with her expertise. I hope your honeymoon was delightful."
SunTzu and Rei looked at each other and squeezed their hands.
"Thank you, it truly had been. I'm glad you're stay was a success too."
Soon they boarded again and the couple enjoyed their way home.
At the back of the plane, a man in a dark suit, last name Smith, although that was not his real name, looked up in surprise as the stewardess served him a glass of expensive Irish Whisky.
"A man in business class named Mustermann ordered this for you. He gives his greetings and tells this is for a successful buisness trip."
They got out of the arrival hall and were surprised to see Haruka waiting for them.
They both greeted her happily.
"I thought It would be nice to pick you guys up from the airport. Ami told the mission was a big success so i thought it was probably very enduring over in Singapore."
Enduring? For one week SunTzu was basically just living his best life, fucking his hot girlfriend through all the rooms of their luxurious suite before his starfighter, flown by his trainee, mowed down a bunch of bad guys. And all that on the Kingdom's bill. It hasn't been enduring. It was the best holiday ever.
He looked up to Haruka.
"Believe me Sis, it was one hell of a beautiful mess down there."
