I don't own the Persona Series or Genshin Impact just the plot.
Chapter 1: Arrival
"I'm sorry but this is all I can do."
"You didn't have to do this Elizabeth."
"For you my dear Wild Card anything."
Those were the last words she said before he was sent here.
He didn't know why he was sent here or what he was supposed to do.
All that he knows is that this is his reward for saving humanity.
It all happen back at the Great Seal.
It was just the same routine that happened since he made the seal, Erebus would come to beat him senseless with no success of breaking him until he grew tired and retreated for the day and come back tomorrow and do it again.
Elizabeth would come from time to time to either fight Erebus herself or just to talk to him. Her company was nice as it helped alleviate some of the loneliness he felt.
She would talk and he would listen, that's how it went during their time.
Until one day she came with news she was excited to share.
She informed him that her master has agreed to help her free him from the Great Seal.
This surprised him, he didn't think Igor would do this. He thought that since Elizabeth abandoned her duties as an attendant she would be cut off from any support from the Velvet Room.
But Elizabeth shook her head as she reminded him that although she was Igor's assistant, he was not the master of the Velvet Room. The real master is known as Philemon a being who Elizabeth claims to be far more powerful than any god in existence and that Persona users like him were his champions.
He didn't doubt her words since he had first hand experience of Elizabeth's monster strength in battle, so if Philemon is her master then he must more of a monster than her and Igor(If he actually fought him) combine.
Anyway Philemon had told her that since he was his greatest champion he would be rewarded for his efforts and that the reward would be his freedom from the Great Seal.
Minato was happy to hear that, but he wondered what would happen to the Seal if he's gone, but Elizabeth told him not to worry as Philemon had that covered.
That was all the good news, the sad news was that he couldn't return to his old world. His soul required a body to anchor him to the mortal realm and his old body died that day on the school roof and can't be used anymore since it's most likely a decayed corpse at this point.
This of course saddened him as it meant he'd never get to see his friends again. Just when he thought his freedom meant he could see them it was not the one he wanted.
But back to the topic, since his soul can't return to his old body, he'll need a new one.
So with the blessing of her master Elizabeth told him that she would construct him a new body using his old one as a blueprint and with this new body he would begin his life in the new world.
This brought confusion to him. If she was going to make him a new body, why couldn't he just use it to go back home?
Elizabeth just gave him an abridged version of her master explanation when she asks the same thing. It was on the lines that his old body was his true connection to his world and that his body was born in that world, making it have its unique imprint on it thus making it one of a kind. She then went on saying that it was rule for a world to produce one body for a soul as everyone only gets one life to live.
If Minato was being honest here the whole explanation sounded like bullshit but he wasn't exactly in a position to argue.
So with everything said and done Minato was sent to live out his life in the new world.
He didn't know if it was a mistake or Elizabeth choice entirely but the next thing he knew he was on a mountain and it was freezing cold.
Quickly equipping a persona with ice immunity Minato felt the sudden cold of the mountain disappear.
Not even a minute spent in this world and he knows the first thing he wants to do and that is to get off this mountain.
But before he does he wants to get a good look at himself.
Minato trusted Elizabeth but knowing her she can bit eccentric when it comes to things that pique her interest.
So gathering some snow Minato then poured some magic into it creating a life-size mirror.
This is just one of the many things he learned from his personas.
Just because his body turned into a door does not mean his mind became trapped as well.
Whenever Erebus wasn't beating his body senseless Minato would dive deep into the recesses of his mind. There he would mingle with his Personas conversing with them and such.
But one of them got the idea of teaching him some of their skills and the rest agreed, hence why he was able to magically make a mirror from snow.
With the newly made mirror Minato got a good look at himself and took a step back at what he saw.
Before he was sent here Elizabeth warned him that since this was her first time making a body there was a chance that there'll be some slight changes to his appearance.
Well, safe to say that may have been underlining it a bit.
For one he wasn't wearing his Gekkoken High uniform anymore he figured that since it was what he died in it might've been what he was wearing now but no. Instead, his current outfit seems to be a combination of some of his gear. Though there were some minor alterations to them. For one he was wearing the Shirt of Chivalry, which is a button long sleeves blue shirt, this was hard find back in Tartarus. Second, he had on the Papal Robe an open hooded white robe with gold color embroidery on it with the inside matching the color of his shirt. Same thing could be said for Hallowed Boots he was wearing. The white Double Ziggurat gloves on hands and some metal protective pads on his knees, elbows, and shoulders.
And that was it for gear as for the rest of his clothes, just some ordinary stuff like white pants with blue lining.
All in all his outfit made him look like some sort of saint. Ironic given who he summoned in his final battle.
He didn't have his Evoker which could make summoning Personas difficult if the need arises.
But it wasn't the outfit that surprised him, instead it was his height.
Looking closely at the mirror Minato saw that he was taller by at least 3 inches and older by a few years, if he had to make a rough guest on his age, he seemed to be about 19 or 20 give or take.
After descending the mountain Minato had his first encounter with the danger in this world.
The threat he encountered appears to be a slime like the ones people see in fantasy anime, their appearance were pretty spot on as they were just giant blobs of goo.
When the slimes saw him they shot a giant blob of liquid at him at high speed. Dodging the attack Minato watched it hit a tree bringing it down.
The attack would've been fatal if they hit but it's a good thing he still got his reflexes. Looking back on the attack it was an elemental base attack specifically water base so it didn't take an expert to know what spells would be suited to deal with it.
Lifting his hand he shot a zio spell at the slimes and as expected the slimes reacted violently to it. With a few more hits of zio the slimes fell ending the first battle he has in this world.
After dealing with those slimes Minato soon came to face another problem.
Hunger.
He realizes he hasn't eaten a single thing since he got here and the hunger has finally caught up with him.
If this world was like any fantasy world then no doubt there should be some wild life in the nearby woods, possibly boar or deer.
But that led to another problem he didn't know the first thing about hunting, and he lacked a weapon.
Then an idea pop in his head, walking to a nearby tree he broke of one of its branches and began focusing the power of the Universe Arcana into it. Soon the branch transformed into a bow. It wasn't anything special just a simple bow to get the job done as well as some arrows.
With the bow and arrows in hand Minato then equipped a persona with good sensory abilities. If the sensory ability can find enemies, then it should be able to help him find prey.
Thinking about it he's reminded of his team navigator Fuuka. Just the very thought of one of his friends reminded him of the fact that he wouldn't see them again. He felt the rise in depression inside himself but he push those feelings down to focus on the task at hand.
Closing his eyes, he focuses imagining a radar in his mind as he searched for anything in the area, and it wasn't long before he got something.
Following the general direction Minato found a small clearing and at the center of it grazing around was his prey a boar.
Wasting no time he knocked an arrow right at it bringing it down instantly.
Walking over Minato examine his kill. One shot in the head a clean kill.
Just as he was about to mull over on what to do next he was interrupted.
"Hey!"
Turning around Minato found himself staring at a young woman.
She appeared to be around his age about as tall as him with pale skin, uneven light blue hair, strange multi-colored eyes, a headband on her head along with a flower pin on the left, wearing a black leotard but it was heavily modified with symbols decorating the sides with the upper body and sleeve portions being white, a belt, and a cape hanging on her back.
Additionally she's wearing a blue tie, a pair of black gloves with blue palms, and blue stockings with thigh-high boots accented with silver with an additional strap, silver heels with spurs, and blue soles.
The two stared at each other for minutes, Minato looked at her confused while she looked at him…angry?
She looked angry for some reason and Minato could not figure out why. That was until he saw her eyes shift to the boar.
"You killed my boar! For that I will have my revenge!" She declared.
…What?
A/N
Hey everybody this is Nicdragon8 here out with the first chapter of Messiah Impact.
I meant to get this out yesterday for Thanksgiving but couldn't but its here now.
So yeah after reading some of the reviews I decided to go a different route with this story.
Originally as lackluster as it was going to be the original plan was to have Minato join the Traveler on their journey through Teyvat only this time with an altered timeline.
But like I said I'm going a different route here.
I don't plan to write long chapters as with my past stories long chapter kinda take away feels in it if catch my drift where I feel like I'm over explaining everything. A lot of unnecessary details that could be used for another chapter.
So yeah my chapter won't long possibly 2k or 2.5k of words but if I write chapter that has a boss fight then may be longer.
So anyway like always Follow this, Favorite this, or Both.
This is Nicdragon8 signing off.
