Sounds of a struggle echoed in a warehouse as Alex rolled out of the way of what looked like sharp spikes and behind a few boxes, the spikes almost perfectly blending in with the dimly lit warehouse. The Highbreed the spikes originated from turned his attention from Alex to Charmcaster, the spikes he projected immediately blew up before they even hit her.

"Don't let it escape!", Charmcaster exclaimed as she held her hand out, Tetrax was above them on his hoverboard. He leapt down and drop kicked it hard enough to send it stinking forward.

"I got it covered.", Alex said as he activated the Omnitrix, scrolling through his current lineup and lightly smacked the dial thus transforming into BassBoost. He propelled himself in the air using sonic waves, duplicating himself to surround him. "Goin' somewhere?"

The Highbreed hissed and swatted them all away only for Tetrax to grab his arms and slammed him into the ground, releasing his grip and grabbed his ankle then threw him into the wall. "Got it covered hmm?"

"Hey. I'm all. over it.", the four BassBoosts said together as they propelled themselves forward again and duplicated once more, tackling the Highbreed.

"Do not touch me, filth!", The Highbreed snarled before standing up and walking to a strange looking portal, appearing to be made out of some sort of mineral like quartz.

"Don't let him get near it, it's a teleportation pod.", Tetrax unsheathed his arm and turned it into a spiked stump then firing a crystal shard at the Highbreed who instinctively dodged it.

However as a result, the shard had wedged itself inside of the rim of the teleporter pod. "You've damaged the transmission field!"

"No. you just. dodged!", BassBoost said as they were enclosed by a blue light, this sucked up both the Highbreed and the clones.

Charmcaster's face dropped. "Ah shit."

The 6 BassBoost's were sent rolling on the ground, some of them instantly jumping up to their feet while the others were a bit slow to catch up. They had been teleported to somewhere else, a desert, but not any desert found on Earth. "Microcephalic vermin-ridden carcass!", the Highbreed cursed.

The 6 looked at each other then back at the taller creature. "Is that. an insult? Kinda hoping. it isn't. a slur."

"Your friend interfered with the teleporter settings!"

"I mean, to be fair. We were a little distracted."

"With you. Trying to kill us. And all"

"That's correct. In fact, I still am!", The Highbreed swung his arm forward but didn't connect to anything as the aliens flew into the air while the ones behind him unleashed a sonic screech that sent him sliding backwards.

They stopped as soon as they felt the ground shake. "Was that a tremor?", one of the BassBoost's questioned.

The Highbreed was silent, but as soon as he leapt forward the silicon aliens followed after as a massive, red, worm-like creature with a large mouth, ringed with tiny teeth and five appendages bursted from the ground. The BassBoost's narrowed their eyes as the other joined them in the air, duplicating again.

The now fifteen aliens landed on the creature, before all of them said;

"Sonic. Stronghold!"

All fifteen of them unleashed a powerful sonic screech that caused the creature to let out a pained cry before digging another hole into the ground, disappearing soon after. "Not good. Not good. Not good."

The BassBoost's felt another tremor before flying up again, the worm-like creature bursted out of the ground and just barely grazed one of them. Once they got too high, it set its sights on a much more grounded prey.

"Highbreed, look out!", one of the BassBoosts yelled out as the fleeing Highbreed spun around and started shooting out his fingers once again.

"Alright boys, lets try this again!", another BassBoost said as the others nodded in response. They landed on the worm again, this time placing their palms against its hard exoskeleton and unleashing a sonic pulse that halted it in its tracks before leaping back into the ground, escaping them.

The BassBoosts dropped to the ground, recombining into a singular alien again. "What the heck was that?"

"A Dravek, their kind are numerous on this...", The Highbreed took a second to catch his breath. "In this planet more accurately."

"Dravek, I'll keep that in mind.", BassBoost nodded. "Anyways, we better get off this Planet before anymore of those overgrown grub worms show up.", BassBoost casually said as he walked past him.

"We?", the Highbreed looked at him in disgust at even saying that.

"Yes, we. You couldn't beat it alone, and I could just barely. If more of them come, our only chance of survival is to fight together. You know I'm right.", a smug smile formed on BassBoost's face.

"I know no such thing."

"I don't like this any better then you do.", BassBoost shrugged as he hovered past him. "How do we get off this um, planet- whatever it's called."

"We are on the Planet Turrawuste, a desert world useful only as a teleporter relay station.", the Highbreed stated.

"So how come we didn't beam next to the teleporter?"

The Highbreed scratched his chin. "The damage to the pod must've temporarily shifted the focusing axis."

BassBoost nodded in understanding. "So, could you fix it?"

"If we find the Teleportation Pod Station on this planet, we won't need to fix it. Just avoid shooting at it with a Petrosapian shard while it's activated.", The Highbreed stated mockingly.

"Okay, smart guy, where could it be then?"

"Nearly impossible to tell."

BassBoost smirked and created three other clones. "For you maybe.", he said as they all faced different directions. One facing South, another facing North, another facing East and another facing West. They all let off a sonic scream again, the one facing south was the only one who got something. "Found it."

The four aliens recombined once again and dropped down. "It'll take only a day or two to reach on foot if we start now. Lets go.", BassBoost said as he started walking forward, turning around as he didn't feel his heavy foot steps following him. "C'mon! The sooner we get moving, the sooner we get off this planet.", he said as he started scratching his ass.

"Your kind... is disgusting."

BassBoost turned around. "What did you say?"

The Highbreed faced away from him. "I will not allow a foul creature like yourself to be in my presence any longer."

BassBoost snarled and detransformed. "Well that's too damn bad.", Alex rolled his eyes before taking off his jacket, feeling another tremor. "If it makes you feel better, you can walk ahead of me."

"Ten paces behind me, at all times.", The Highbreed said facing the right direction.

"Fine.", Alex sighed as he put his jacket over his head. "Lead the way."

For a few minutes or maybe even an hour they simply walked in silence, the heat radiating from the systems dual suns beats down on them. "Hot enough for ya?", Alex abruptly said, attempting to get a conversation started.

"Yes."

Alex paused. "I wasn't genuinely asking, it's an expression which means it is hot out."

"It is obviously hot! I do not understand why you would need to reiterate to what we both know.", The Highbreed snapped annoyed as they kept walking the set distance away from each other.

"Good thing I didn't say it's not the heat it's the humidity."

"There is no humidity! It is in fact the heat!"

Alex groaned. "No shit dumbass, do expressions not fuckin exist in space? I was tryna make conversation.", he said before the Highbreed dropped to the ground, he immediately ran to him but was halted.

"Do not touch me you filth.", the Highbreed panted, exhausted.

"Here, you can use it to keep the sun off your head.", Alex said as he threw the jacket to him.

The Highbreed hissed and scooted way from where it landed. "I do not take charity from vermin, I merely... require a moments rest.", he said as his body began to shrivel up.

"Rest isn't gonna cut it, you're already dehydrated."

"The one true species thrives in a much cooler climate.", The Highbreed gasped as he felt as if his body was being burned alive.

"Humans don't like the heat either, but you're actually wasting away.", Alex said as he activated the Omnitrix on impulse, spinning the dial before transforming into Cold Soar. He hovered in the air before letting out cold air, this time it simply hit the Highbreed instead of freezing him.

"Stop that. Desist, immediately!", The Highbreed waved his arm to get him to stop, which he did.

"Why?"

"I did not... request... your assistance..", the Highbreed stated, pausing for a few seconds as he spoke.

"I know. Chill out dude, hehe, see what I did there?"

"No."

"I made a pun. You know what a pun is right- hey, what is that?", Cold Soar narrowed his eyes to see a puddle of water a fair distance away. "Water."

"Your power of deduction... are truly staggering."

Cold Soar crossed his arms. "Well at least you're showing sarcasm, good for you. I'll bring some back.", he stated before flying away and towards the small puddle.

Cold Soar landed near and folded up his winks back into a cloak, scooping up some in his skinny hands before jumping up as soon as he saw the appendages of a Dravek burst out and snap shut, however Cold Soar simply passed right through it. As he did this, he froze it before flying over to the Highbreed.

"It was a trap."

"Gullible prey can be lured in by the right kind of bait, many creatures on this planet use this to their advantage.", The Highbreed gasped.

Cold Soar looked back at the Dravek, the ice he created around its head had started to crack. "It won't hold the thing for long, let's move."

"You... cannot issues commands to me, mongrel. Lesser beings do my biding.", the Highbreed stated as he struggled to stand up but managed to do so, seconds after the Dravek got free and rushed at them. "And I bid you to fight!"

"Yessir.", Cold Soar gave a lazy salute as he flew up, passing through and freezing it solid again, looping back around and hovering above the Highbreed. "We can't keep this up much longer."

"Follow my lead.", The Highbreed said while his body shook violently.

Cold Soar looked down at him in confusion. "And do what?"

"Freeze him!"

"Already did that."

"From inside! Stay inside. Keep him frozen until I say otherwise.", The Highbreed said as Cold Soar flew inside of the Dravek, ice started to cover the surface of the body slowly. The Highbreed stood there until it covered half of the Dravek's body. "Now!"

As he said this, Cold Soar flew out and at the same time the Highbreed shot out his spikes from his fingers again. The result of this caused the parts covered in ice to shatter, killing it.

The Highbreed dropped to his knees, his body appearing like a vacuum sealed skeleton at this point. Cold Soar inhaled before he was stopped. "Dont... you dare. Now that the danger has passed, I can locate water myself.", he said as his stomach opened up, tentacles shot out and dug into the sand.

"Gross."

The Highbreed ignored him as he kept digging through the sand. "There is water below the sand, if one looks deeply enough.", he stated as his tentacles stopped. "There."

"I didn't know you Highbreed were some kind of plants.", Cold Soar said rather surprised.

"We are not 'some kind' of anything! The Highbreed are the only kind!", the Highbreed stated as he pulled out his tentacles, water filling up the holes left as a result.

The two suns had started setting, the resulting heat was no longer as present. Around this time the Highbreed's body looked much healthier then prior. Alex scooped up the water in the sand to hydrate himself and let out a sigh. "Thank god."

The two started walking again, Alex keeping the set ten paces behind him before hearing something. The sound of sand was being shuffled around. "You hear that?"

"I heard nothing, except you Human, which is the same as nothing.", The Highbreed said jokingly, not even bothering to look at him.

"Ooh you're hilarious."

The Highbreed stood straight. "I believe I'm beginning to grasp your concept of humor."

"Good for you.", Alex rolled his eyes as there was another tremor. "More Draveks?"

"No, worse.", The Highbreed stopped and looked back.

"What do you mean worse?", Alex turned around to see hundreds of not thousands of brown, segmented, cockroach-like creatures with tiny white eyes, and eight black legs and a pair of pincers scuttling towards them.

"Dasypodidae!"

Alex laughed. "They're tiny, how can these things be worse then Draveks?", he immediately was proven wrong as they started to crawl all over him, covering him head to toe as he began squirming.

The Highbreed soon after was joined in this position. "Okay, point taken!", Alex yelled out as a green flash erupted. Deadbolt let out a yell as he shot an electrical blast that incinerated some of the cockroach's. "This'll only take a second.", he continued to do this but they seemingly kept coming. "Okay, maybe more like an hour at best."

Deadbolt ran past the Highbreed. "C'mon!", he yelled out as the plant-like alien followed behind. Deadbolt leapt onto a rock that was jutting out of the sand while the Highbreed ran past and stopped just above him. He blasted out a ball of electrical energy at a plateau.

The result caused a landslide, completely crushing all of the cockroach-like aliens. The Highbreed was almost caught in this but was grabbed by Deadbolt.

As they dust settled, Deadbolt smirked. "You're welcome."

"How dare- you filthy- unhand me!", The Highbreed tore himself out of his grip.

"Wha- what's your problem dude?! I mean I get that you don't like the aliens I turn into, but come on! I was saving your bitch ass! Cut me some slack at least!", The Highbreed wordlessly looked at him and walked back into the direction of the Teleporter Station.

"Ten paces behind my ass.", Deadbolt muttered as he followed.

Hours later, the suns have set and the night settled in its place. Alex had since timed out and detransformed back into his human form. "Second we're off this planet imma show him ten paces behind.", he thought to himself before stopping. "This is a good enough place to set up camp for the night."

"No. We shall walk through the night."

"No. We shall camp here for the night.", Alex mockingly said as he pointed at the ground.

The Highbreed turned and narrowed his eyes at him. "I would not use such an insolent tone with me, lesser creature."

With the Omnitrix having been recharged, Alex immediately transformed into Muscle Bound. "Oh really?"

"You have not yet dealt with me at my full strength. See how the cool night air has begun to restore me?", Highbreed stated, having returned to his original size and appearance.

Muscle Bound cocked an eyebrow. "I've noticed."

"I shall carry in front here, on my own."

"Good, get the fuck out of my face.", Muscle Bound crossed his arms annoyed.

"You have outstayed your usefulness to me."

"Feelings mutual.", Muscle Bound said as he turned and started digging a hole through the sand. The two stopped what they were doing as they heard a roar off in the distance.

The Highbreed rethought this decision. "We shall camp here for the night."

A few minutes later, Muscle Bound had picked up a boulder to set next to the hole. Sitting down as Sunburn to ignite a fire, reverting to normal soon after. Alex looked up and smirked. "Pull up a boulder. Sit down."

"So your infernal pit can deplete me of my strength? I think not.", Highbreed said as he backed away.

Alex rolled his eyes. "It's a camp fire, it's a thing humans to to sit around and get to know each other."

"For what conceivable purpose?"

Alex sighed. "My name is Alex. Alex Tennant."

"I am called Reinrassig III, seventh son of the Noble Highbreed House of Di Ralla, direct descendant of the Pure Blooded High Order of Rasecht, heir to the-", before he could finish, Alex stopped him.

"Imma call you Reiny.", Alex said as he stretched his arms.

"That is rather disrespectful, AlexAlex Tennant.", Reinrassig said annoyed.

"Y'know, despite the fact I don't trust you about as far as VastMass could chuck you into space. It's pretty neat we've managed to survive together, we're not friends anymore but least we're not completely mortal enemies anymore.", Alex said as he shrugged.

"You and I are, in fact, enemies."

Alex rolled his eyes. "Yeah whatever you say man. Maybe it's because I know why it's like to be... okay not a Highbreed yet, but with the Omnitrix I can transform into a whole buncha alien creatures just like you. So I can totally understand what it's like to be them, I'm like a nexus for diversity."

"Such presumption! What else is to be expected from a genetically inferior creature?"

"Say that again."

"Why would I, a Highbreed, be the slightest bit interested in befriending the revolting likes of yourself?", Reinrassig stated as he pointed at Alex.

"Dude, I'm tryna be friendly here. Y'know, find some common ground or something.", Alex said as he stood up.

"You and I are nothing more then mere enemies.", Reinrassig hissed in response. "Highbreeds were the very first race to exist in the universe. All species hence other then pure blooded Highbreeds are nothing more than savage mongrels, hideous abominations of nature-- especially humans! As soon as I no longer require your aid for my own protection, AlexAlex Tennant, I shall eradicate you and there will be one less vermin in a grateful universe."

"You can't be serious can you?", Alex looked completely shocked at this absurd way of thinking. "After all of that? After the way I've been helping you?"

"When you weren't trying to rip me apart.", Reinrassig retorted this which resulted in Alex looking away, he wasn't wrong. "You are tired human, I've discovered rest is vital to a human's health, I shall take the first watch."

"Oh no, I'm wide awake. You get some sleep, I'll take the first watch.", Alex stood up as he clenched his fists.

A few hours had passed, with Alex finally going to sleep as Reinrassig kept watch. Alex's eyes fluttered open as he saw the Highbreed towered over them before shooting out spikes at a strange creature resembling a Dasypodidae, but this one was around the size of Alex's torso with larger pincers and black eyes.

The creature squealed as it was shot, it scrambled up and hissed before being grabbed by Reinrassig. In response the creature bit down on his wrists biting so hard it cleanly tore off the hand. As he swatted it away, the severed hand dropped to the ground, twitching while leaking green blood.

"Can you regenerate it?"

The Highbreed looked at him in pain. "I am not a lowly Homo Palustris!"

"But it can heal, right?"

"Not such an injury like this! Even then, our conditions are rather unsavory."

Alex nodded. "I'll have to do it myself.", he stated as he scrolled through his scrolled, dialing in an alien and transforming into them in a green flash. A second after, Blazemash grabbed the severed hand and placed it against its original spot on Reinrassig's arm, veins wrapped around it.

The hand began turning green as the veins detached from Blazemash, securing the hand and re-emerging it back to the arms. "Better?"

"Why would you help me?", Reinrassig asked genuinely shocked at this. After what said.. why would a lower life form help him?

Blazemash slapped the Omnitrix and detransformed. "Why would you help me?"

The Highbreed was stunned for words for the briefest of seconds. "It was in my own interest of preventing that creature from harming you!"

Alex just smiled at the larger alien. "Then it's in my interest to help anybody who needs the help.", he said as the two stopped in their tracks.

A Dravek suddenly bursted out of the ground, the two rolled out of the way as it dove in, stabbing the spot they were on prior. Reinrassig began shooting the spikes at its underbelly, Alex in response transformed into Sunburn, propelling himself up and unleashing a powerful blast of fire that flew directly into its open mouth.

The creature howled in pain, gasping for air before returning into the ground. "You were right, maybe we should walk for the night."

Sunburn landed down and detransformed. "Lets go." Alex said as he walked ahead, Reinrassig looking in his direction before following him.

"Y'know, this is a big thing. A sign of personal development, it shows that Highbreeds aren't that bad underneath all the racism. And despite those terrible things you said, you really do wanna try to be friends with a lowly creature like myself.", Alex remarks with a yawn as he kept walking.

Reinrassig stood there silently, pondering on what he had said along with the beliefs he had grown up with his entire life.

Hours later, the suns have began to rise up slowly. And around that time, Alex and Reinrassig had made it to the Teleportation Station. "There it is! Lets get the fuck outta here!", Alex ran forward before stopping, turning around to see him standing there. "Fine I'll do the ten paces behind again, okay?"

The next words that exited Reinrassig was something he never expected. "Go home, AlexAlex Tennant. I shall remain here."

"Did you hit your head on a rock or some shit? There's the teleporter, we can get off this death trap of a planet and back to our lives.", Alex gestures to the portal made out of a similar material to quarts.

"I have spent too long with you, AlexAlex Tennant, and have therefor myself have become contaminated.", Reinrassig says as he could feel his arms new flesh, it digging through his very being to merge with him.

"Contaminated-?"

The taller alien nodded. "Yes. As clearly evidenced by my uncharacteristic behavior- risking my life to save you, a genetically inferior specimen."

"Reiny, what you did there was a good thing.", Alex frowned at this, was this not something to be proud of?

Reinrassig shook his head. "No, I have become infected by your mongrel influence and am now myself unclean.", he said lifting up his arm, showcasing its strange, root-like composition.

"But why stay on this planet?"

"A self imposed exile, as it should be. As I can no longer return home, or anywhere. I could infect the rest of my species, the only honorable choice is to stay here. Because any race that isn't a pure, unadulterated Highbreed must be expunged from the Universe!... including myself.", the passion of his vision was still there, shattered yes but Reinrassig still had some belief in what he was saying.

Alex's eyes widened. "What? No- you can't. I thought I had gotten through to you, I thought you changed!"

"That part is true, I have changed... but now.", Reinrassig walked past him and activated the portal. "I must pay the price..."

Tetrax and Gluto had done a full days worth of schematics, once or twice over to make sure. "It appears to be in working order, however we can't operate it somehow."

Charmcaster had been pacing back and forth, appearing extremely stressed at the situation. "We've gotta do something Tetrax, who knows what's happening with him."

Tetrax nodded. "We'll use The Resolute to search the corners of the universe, no matter how long it takes."

As he said this, the portal activated with Alex diving through and landing on his feet with the portal closing shortly after. Second after, Charmcaster wrapped him up in a tight embrace. "Alex! Holy shit you're back!"

Tetrax smiled as he walked over and placed a hand on his head. "You gave us a big scare. But, where's the Highbreed, did he get away?"

Alex looked down, shaking his head. "I doubt it."

Back on Turrawuste, Reinrassig looked at the portal. Still contemplating the decision, he turned and began walking away while he heard the roars of the wildlife in the distance. "That human..."

Reinrassig sighed as he looked at his new arm, the port opened and closed at his command. "I'm such a disgrace."
