I am so so so sorry. I had this chapter about half done and then had a major case of writers block, then went on vacation, then life just kept going on.

Anyway, i want reassure you that i have every intention of brining this story through the current season 2, and i hope to update sooner going forward.

As always i appreciate you reading and all errors are my own.

Bronwyn pulled up, reluctantly to the house I knew to be Nates. It was a mess, but I have lived in houses that were worse. Mentally on the drive here, I had talked myself out of this multiple times, but ultimately there was no turning back. "This is a bad idea."

"Your opinion is noted." I sighed rolling my eyes. Nates bike was in the driveway, so I knew he was home, and he was only a few minutes ahead of us once I had finally made the decision to stay out. "B I am aware of your feelings towards him, but honestly this is my decision."

"Look I am just not sure I trust him; I mean he hurt you…"

"You don't trust anyone outside of me, I think. You didn't trust Cooper, which turned out to be an overreaction, you don't trust Nate because his lifestyle contradicts yours. You didn't trust Maeve because she was secretive… honestly B I think the only one you actually trust is Addy, and I think that's only because you don't think she has a mean bone in her body or can't make her own decisions." I knew I was being brutal, but she needed to hear it, and I was probably the only one she would let talk to her like that. "To be fair Addy is really smart by the way. At some point, you have to look at things without the textbook, and a bit more emotion and feeling. It's not always black and white."

"On a roll tonight." She said her hands gripping the wheel. "I'm sorry, I just can't put down the books and reality…"

"It's not reality though; you want an answer and no questions after. Trust me that isn't how the world works, there is so much more to everything that you could miss out on a whole lot if you don't look up." I said softly and she finally looked at me and gave me a small smile.

"I don't want to see you hurt." She admitted, "You have been through hell, and deserve to be happy and carefree."

"Maybe this is my way to get that?" I replied and she scowled, I knew how she felt about Nate and this whole situation but this wasn't about her. "I will call you if something happens." I added and I could see a small… very small… sign of relief show on her face. Before I could let her talk me out of it, I got out of the car and walked up to the front door. There were no lights on and if I hadn't seen his bike I wouldn't have thought anyone was home. Looking over my shoulder I was surprised Bronwyn actually was pulling away from the curb.

Pulling out my phone I pulled up the number I was looking for and put the phone to my ear. It rang for a few seconds before the line picked up.

"I didn't pin you as one to check in to see if I made it home safely." He laughed and I just smiled to myself praying this wasn't a bad idea.

"What can I say I was worried?" I rolled my eyes hoping he heard the sarcasm.

"Well, I wouldn't want that. I made it safely, and I am tucking myself into bed." He chuckled.

"Before you do that, you wanna come open the door before I wake the neighborhood?" I asked trying to keep my voice light even though my heart was pounding, and I held my breath waiting for the rejection. There was a lot of noise from the phone as he, what I assumed, was stumbling out of bed. Then I heard cursing as something crashed inside the door before the lock was undone and he was staring at me phone still to his ear.

I gave him a weak smile pocketing my phone. "I mean you did invite me over." Staring back at me I waited for him to respond and when he didn't, I realize I may have read the comment wrong earlier. "If you changed your mind I can go, B just left only a few seconds…"

"No, its fine." He interrupted stepping to the side to let me in. He ran a hand through his hair as I passed him, and I just stood in the entryway not sure what to do. "I haven't had a chance to pick up."

"I'm not here to judge your living style." I said rolling my eyes at him following him down the hall. There were empty cans littered in the living room and empty food boxes were stacked in the kitchen. It was testament to how much Nate was doing on his own, it wasn't missed by me, the stack of mail left unopen by the door. "Your dad home?"

"No." he said leading me into his room, which to my surprise wasn't as disastrous as I had expected. "Probably passed out in some dive." I wasn't sure how to answer him, so I just nodded and looked at the tank by his bed smiling as I leaned over to look through the glass.

"And this must be Stan." He smiled and sat on his bed leaning back on his forearms watching me. Standing up I suddenly felt uneasy and a bit embarrassed that I was here unannounced and wasn't even sure if he wanted me here.

"Will you stop over thinking?" He chuckled and I looked at him with a small scowl. "You can sit down." He gestured to the spot beside him, and I sat stiffly on the edge of the bed. "God come here." He groaned and wrapped a hand around my waist pulling me back. I was laughing as I fell back onto his bed and slowly felt myself relax.

"Sorry I just showed up." I sighed staring up at his ceiling.

"Don't be. I did suggest it." He said and when I turned to look at him, he had a soft smile on his face and it made my heart skip.

"Honestly, I thought it was just something you said in the moment." I stated honestly.

"So then why did you come?"

"Very persuasive fourteen-year -old?" I offered with a shrug but I could see he wasn't buying it so I turned back towards the roof. "After what Cooper said, it just opens a whole bunch of questions without answers, more what ifs, I don't think I would be sleeping much, and I figured if my mind was going to run into overdrive… rather than call you I would just show up."

"So…we can finish our movie then?" he suggested, and I laughed closing my eyes and shaking my head. He took that as a yes and got up grabbing his computer. Scooting up towards the head of the bed, I waited for him to lie down beside me. Leaning on the wall, he put the laptop on his lap and hit play. The movie started right where it left off, with a guy's face melting off and I found my just as grossed out as I was earlier.

As the movie continued, my head eventually fell to Nate's shoulder and I started to zone out, my mind wandered. The screaming of the movie became white noise as I ran around all the things that had happened since the start of school.

"Alright Reeder." Nate said shutting the laptop and putting it to the end of the bed. I scowled watching him. "You have given zero reaction of any kind to the movie, and we literally just watched someone melt."

"Sorry." I mumbled with a sigh closing my eyes.

"What are you thinking?" he asked. I groaned shaking my head and moving to sit up again the headboard a bit out of Nates hold.

"It's nothing."

"Really … that's what you're going with?" he said, and I opened my eyes to see him eyeing me suspiciously.

"What not believable?"

"Not even a little Lex." He shook his head, and I ran my hand through my hair turning to look at Stan's cage. I could feel his stare.

"This investigation, I don't think its going to go our way." I stated quietly still watching the lizard behind the glass. "When I think of all the scenarios… none of them end well."

"Are you worried they're gonna convict you?" he asked curiously. I shrugged still avoiding his eyes.

"I mean if they do it would end all this…"

"Don't go there."

"I don't plan to go into the precinct and saying I did it Nate." I rolled my eyes finally turning to him. "but when they break it down I am right up there as a prime suspect, more so then the valedictorian, school MVP and malibu barbie."

"Pretty sure my rep has you beat." He pointed out and I just searched his eyes.

"Really? Because I put someone in the hospital because I 'have anger problems stemming from my rough up bringing, that causes me to lash out' according to my therapist."

"And yet my secret was selling drugs to someone causing an overdose, which ironically fits Simon's murder." He sighed. "Look I can promise you, you won't go down for this Lexi."

"How can you promise that?" I laughed but found that the laugh died when I noticed Nate wasn't laughing and didn't have even a ounce of humor on his face. "Nate…I don't want that." I was moving and sitting on my knees, all jokes aside and a hundred percent serious as I leaned closer to him. "There is no circumstance fictional, future or otherwise where you are going to throw yourself on a fucking dagger for me."

He opened his mouth to speak but I shook my head. "I don't know why you think it would better if it was you, but it wouldn't and I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror knowing that you did that. Please promise me, if in the end they come at me you won't step in."

"Lex…"

"My life is a shit show, always has been. For all I know my future is fucked anyway. I am not going to let you throw away any future you may have for me. It's not worth it..."

"You are." He interrupted and his eyes bore into mine with a strong intensity. I wanted to argue but the way he was looking at me, for the first time in a long time I felt his words.

"Just please don't. Let the cards just fall as they do without interfering." We sat quietly for a second and he stared at me looking for a way to make a promise he could break easily. With a sigh, I settled at his side and lay my head on his shoulder. "Right now, just don't." He was tense. I knew he wanted to argue but instead he wrapped his arm around me and ran his hand up my arm.

At some point, I fell asleep, my phones alarm waking me up, startling me. I sat up disoriented looking around the unfamiliar room before I heard a soft groan beside me. Looking to my side, Nate was laying on his back arm out from where my head had been. I smiled to myself remembering last night and the comfort I felt. With a sigh, I leaned over and kissed him.

"Morning," I whispered. His hand wrapped around my back until it was on the back of my head pulling me down again.

"It's early." He said softly.

"I have to get going." I said pulling away. Scooting to the edge of his bed, he groaned louder and stretched. After several minutes, I was finally able to get Nate out the door. Riding into the parking lot eyes followed us until we parked, and I slid from behind Nate pulling the helmet off and running a hand through my hair handing it to Nate. "Thanks for the ride."

"Courtney cover for you all night?" he asked taking the helmet.

"Looks like it, not sure what it will cost me but…" I shrugged a car catching my eye from the outside of the school entrance. The windows were tinted but a chill went down my spine. From what I could see, it was the same vehicle from last night when Bronwyn picked me up.

"Hey." Nate called and I felt his hand grazed my lower back. Looking at him over my shoulder, I smiled before looking at the car again watching it drive away. "You okay?"

"Huh… oh yeah, sorry." I cleared my throat turning to walk towards the school.

"Hey hold on." He said grabbing my elbow and turning me back towards him. Before I could say anything, he placed his other hand on the back of my head and placed his lips on mine. Once the shock faded, I placed my own hand on his arm and smiled against his lips. "I won't let anything happen to you okay." He whispered.

"Nate…" I said quietly eyes still closed as my forehead rested on his.

"I got you." Smiling I nodded kissing him again before I finally stepped away and started walking up the steps of the school. Halfway towards my locker Addy met up with me and had a large smile across her face.

"So that's happening… this is happening, you and Nate?" She asked giddy.

"What?"

"You and Nate, its about time, the way you two look at each other, I mean I was surprised it took this long, but then again I am surprised you are so open about with everything going on…"

"Okay breath." I laughed. "I am not even sure what 'this' is, I just went over last night after our meeting and we just hung out." She gave me an additional look and I rolled my eyes. "Stop… Oh I never asked last night, you said you met with Janae, how'd that go?"

"Well, we went for pancakes and we talked for a bit… until she walked out." Addy explained once reaching my locker.

"So it didn't work?"

"Not necessarily, I mean the way she talked about Simon, I just don't think she could do it." She explained. "There's something there that's under the surface. I think I'm gonna keep trying, you know if she'll still talk to me."

"It's at least something." I shrugged. After our conversation, the rest of the day was uneventful. At lunch, I sat with Bronwyn and Elliot, but I wasn't listening to their conversation. My eyes found Nate and Addy at the ice cream machine and their eyes seemed to be looking over the lunchroom. Nate's eyes met mine for a brief second and I could feel my cheeks heat up as Addy elbowed him and he turned away from me. Smiling to myself, I turned back to my tray.

"Well that's not a suspicious pairing." Elliot said, he was looking at Nate and Addy and I rolled my eyes.

"Not everything is as it seems." I commented quietly.

"I'm just saying that it looks odd." He argued.

"And I am just saying that you should stop fueling the fire."

"Lex…" Bronwyn hissed. Before I could respond the familiar ding of phone went off, and I could feel dread fill my stomach. Slowly I pulled out my phone and clicked on the notification for the new message.

Your four favorite murder suspects held a secret midnight meeting last night. The only question is are they trying to cover up what they did to Simon? Or are they choosing their next victim?

Below the message was a picture. There we were standing around at the abandoned theater. Each of us pictured clearly. My chest felt tight as I looked up, my eyes met with Coopers for a moment before meeting Nates. He had a scowl on his face and I just shook my head closing my eyes taking a deep breath.

"It's not what it looks like." I heard Bronwyn say to Elliot.

"No? I it photo shop?" He asked and I looked between them. "This… this was last night… I thought you said that you were sick."

"I asked her to drive me." I stated quickly trying to ease the tension. Elliot only glanced at me for a second before waiting for Bronwyn to respond.

"I… I just had to talk to them because I thought I knew who did it and…"

"And you trusted them with the information instead of me?" He asked hurt.

"That's not fair." I said frustrated. "You have no idea what we're… what she's going through."

"Then go to the police." He stated bluntly before returning his attention to Bronwyn. "So are you going to explain?"

"I don't think I can..." She sighed and I felt my heartbreak for her, all she wanted was to be happy, to be with Elliot, "You want me to be the girl you met this summer, but she's gone. This is my life right now, and I don't want to be distracted by the beach or a concert I just want to figure out who killed Simon. So yeah, I trusted them over you and the police about this because they're the only ones who know what I'm going through."

"Yeah." He responded disappointed then got up. For that moment, I forgot about the post and was worried about Bronwyn. The whispering and eyes around the lunchroom continued as we got up to leave. I tried to ignore it the rest of the day but the constant comments and murmuring made it hard to stay focused. I was ready for the end of the day, ready to walk out and breath… that was until I saw the Tina standing outside her car in the front of the school.

"You need a ride?" Bronwyn asked coming up beside me.

"No…" I sighed, bowing my head. "Looks like I got one." I slowly went down the steps towards the waiting vehicle. "Hey Tina…"

"Lexi, Katherine will meet us at my office." She said opening the passenger side of the door.

"Great." I stated quietly getting in the car. Bronwyn and Nate stood on the steps watching as Tina went to the driver's seat and pulled away. The drive to her office was quiet, and the wait in the office for Katherine was excruciating. My leg bounced as Tina tapped on her computer only looking up at me every few seconds as if to make sure I was still there.

"What were you thinking Lexi…" she sighed finally turning away from her computer, "You are on a very… very thin line right now anything and everything will be used against you, and I can only do so much."

"It's not what you think." I said quietly, still slouched in the chair looking at the sleeve of my shirt.

"That's not going to cut it anymore." Before she could say anything, else Katherine knocked on the door and opened the door.

"Sorry I'm late Tina."

"That's alright, we just started talking." She smiled and I could see Katherine sit beside me from the corner of my eye. "Okay Lexi, this is your chance to tell us anything…that we need to know."

"We were just talking." I shrugged.

"Just talking? How did you even get there?" Katherine asked. She was upset, rightly so. I didn't respond, just closed my eyes and leaned forward running my fingers through my hair.

"Bronwyn picked me up." I answered after a few seconds.

"The police are looking at each of you for Simon's murder, the more you hang around with them the worse it looks." Tina stated, "When they start asking questions who do you think they are going to look to first Lexi?"

"I don't understand why you are giving everyone more reason so look at you, I thought you wanted to start over, we talked about…"

"We talked about you trusting me, about you believing me… this, this doesn't feel like you believing me." I interrupted.

"There is a picture that was posted with you and four others suspected of murder, one who is a known drug dealer. This isn't a game." Tina stated.

"Don't you think I know that?!" I exclaimed, finally looking up and between both of them. "I realize this isn't a game. It wasn't a game when I was moved from house to house, because no one wanted me. It wasn't a game when I watched Simon struggle to breath, or when some psycho posted my secret. But at some point, I need to stand up for myself… no one else is."

"And that's what this is, you proving yourself…"

"This is me trying to figure out who the hell is trying to frame us for murder." I said, "No one wants to look at anyone but us. The police aren't look anywhere else but us… but what if that's the point so that the real killer gets away with us. I left last night because we are trying to figure out what the police wont."

"The police are just doing their job."

"They aren't looking anywhere that isn't being dropped in their laps." I rolled my eyes. "Look I get it wasn't a smart idea, but they are the only ones who actually know what's going how I am feeling. None of this "I know this is difficult", "I know how you feel", I… I trust them."

"Trust them?" Tina questioned and I looked at her.

"I mean, yeah." I said confidently shrugging my shoulders. "None of us did it."

"You out of all of them have the most to lose, can you confidently tell me they have your back and would say the same about you if they were back into a corner?" Tina posed the question leaning forward. I thought about each member, each person. I didn't know Addy as well as Bronwyn or Cooper like I knew Nate, but I knew enough.

Leaning forward I placed my arm on the desk, "Yes." I stated. Tina and I stared at each other as she read my eyes for any hint reluctance.

"Okay." She sighed, leaning back again. "The police already reach out; they will be by to search your house Katherine. This picture puts Lexi in a hot seat, and she will be under a microscope. I can only do so much before her case is out of my hands."

"So, I get shipped off." It wasn't a question I knew what the outcome would be if things went south.

"Not if we can help it," Katherine sighed, and for the first time since she sat down beside me, I looked at her. Her lips were pursed, and her eyes were serious. She wasn't giving up on me, at least not yet, "But you have to help us out."

"I'm trying," I whispered. The conversation quickly ended after that and I was asked to wait in the hall, as Katherine and Tina talked more. Leaning my head back I closed my eyes wishing I could run away, or call Bronwyn or Nate, but once the picture was leaked I handed the phone back to Nate knowing I couldn't be caught with it.

"We will be in touch." Tina said as they exited her office and I slowly stood watching their interaction. "Think about what I said, we may not get another chance."

That comment peaked my interest, but based on Katherine's expression, this was not the time to ask. The drive back to the house was uncomfortably quiet and I shifted in my seat looking at Katherine from the corner of my eye. I couldn't tell if she was mad, angry, sad… her expression was just blank.

"I am sorry." I said, but she didn't respond just squeezed the wheel as she pulled into the parking lot. "So that's it, you just aren't going to talk to me now?"

"What should I say, what would you like to talk about Lexi?" She asked.

"I don't know, something, anything. I don't really care if you yell at me, but ignoring me is the last thing I want or need…"

"Need, what you need?" she laughed and I rolled my eyes. "I need you to start talking to me, no more of this behind closed doors. I can't help you if you don't talk to me."

"What am I supposed to say? Sorry I screwed up? Sorry I am trying to prove I am not a murder?"

"You snuck out, you put yourself at risk." Katherine sighed, "Tina is right, at some point to much damage will be done…"

"So that's it? You just give up on me because a picture went out?" I asked frustrated, tears welling in my eyes. "Maybe I should just go, that would make everything easier right?"

"Is that what you want?" she asked

"Of course it isn't!" I nearly shouted, "This is the one place I actually have been happy in years, but… I can't change who I am, I will stand up for what I believe but to everyone around me that's wrong."

"It's not wrong sweetheart…" Katherine said softly, "There is a right and wrong way to go about all of though and sneaking around isn't it."

We were going around in circles so I just shook my head and exited the card grabbing my backpack. As I followed Katherine to the front door I watched a squad car pull up in the drive way and I cringed. Katherine opened the door and stepped aside letting the officers in without any question, her eyes glued to me as I watched them start rummaging through my life.

The search was thorough, but they didn't find anything that would implicate me and quickly left, leaving me sitting at the counter in the kitchen as Katherine prepared dinner.

"I have to work tonight." I mumbled.

"Not tonight Lexi." She shook her head.

"So, you want me to call an hour before my shift and tell Sid I can't come in?" I asked watching as she paused at the stove bowing her head. "Look I've already cut my hours back like you asked, it just makes me look worse if I deny my obligations, shouldn't I show that my life still goes on rather than hide in the house?"

"Lexi…"

"My shift ends at 9; I can take an Uber home, but please don't ask me to ditch Sid, not after everything. You can call the restaurant every hour if you done trust me."

"I do trust you."

"Do you? Really?" I asked and she turned around so we could make eye contact. It didn't take long for her to concede and drive me to the diner. The rush had just finished up and I was working to bus my tables when I heard the familiar rumble of a motorcycle outside. Checking my watch I chewed my lip contemplating what I was about to ask.

"Hey Sid." I called dropping the dishes in the back. "You think I can call my day early? It's slowed down and I think Sarah can handle closing up from here."

"Something I should know kid?" he asked eyeing me suspiciously.

"Shitty day and just ready to get some sleep," I shrug. "Cops were by my house and it was… uncomfortable."

"Get out of here." He smiled a softness in his eyes. "You need anything you let me know got it?"

"Thanks Sid." I said pulling my apron off. Heading through the kitchen, I went out the back door headed down the road away from the diner waiting for Nate to follow.

"Hey you good?" he asked once he was close enough.

"Just great, I love have the cops rummage through my stuff." I rolled my eyes walking up to him. "They find anything at your place?"

"You think I would be here if they did?" he smiled handing me his helmet and I scowled at his response but took the helmet throwing my leg over the bike behind him. "You ready for this?"

"We really doing it?" I asked.

"Sounds like it, Bronwyn said it's all clear at her place." He said and I nodded putting the helmet on and wrapping my arms around him as he pulled away. Once at her house I led Nate around the back of the house and up the tress to Bronwyn's room only to find a laptop on the roof. "What the…" Shrugging I knocked on the window seeing Maeve and Bronwyn in her room.

"I'm sorry what are they doing here?" Maeve asked and I was almost offended at her tone, but choose to brush it off as I slid into the room. "Mom and Dad will literally kill you."

"I'm already grounded. They're already gonna kill me over the photo, how much worse can it get?" she asked.

"Look what we found." Nate held up the laptop from his spot seated on the windowsill.

"What made you think throwing the laptop… that hold ALL the incriminating evidence on it out the window?" I asked looking at Maeve.

"I had to think fast. The cops were here." She crossed her arms and I just rolled my eyes.

"You sure about this?" I asked walked towards Nate.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"What are you doing?" Maeve asked.

"We're destroying it." I said nodding to Nate to move so I could climb out.

"What!" She exclaimed trying to step forward only to have Bronwyn stop her. "You can't."

"The police just searched our house Maeve." Bronwyn said.

"Right they obviously still think that you're involved." She nodded, "They need to know they should be looking at Cooper."

"We don't think so." I shook my head and Maeve just stared at us in disbelief. "Look, if anyone would want the police to look somewhere else it would Nate or I right?"

"And we don't think its Cooper." Nate added and I nodded.

"Fine." Maeve held up her hands before looking at Bronwyn. "I hope your right."

"Okay, you guys got it?" Bronwyn asked nervously.

"We will take care of it B, Promise." I said putting my hand on her shoulder giving her a small smile.

"Okay." she nodded and I turned and went out the window following Nate down, his hands coming around my waist once I was close to the ground. I was grateful for the dark as my cheeks got warm. We quickly ran back to his bike and with the laptop in hand we pulled away from the Rojas driveway. After several minutes of driving finally, Nate pulled off to a cliff off the side of the road. Slowly I stepped away from the bike, laptop firmly in my grasp as I walked closer to the edge. I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below, and I closed my eyes letting the sound and ocean breeze consumer me for a second. I felt Nate's hand on the small of my back as he stepped up beside me.

"I feel like we're about to scatter his ashes… or like bury the last piece of him." I said quietly opening my eyes watching as Nate looked over the edge before looking at the laptop. "Should we say something, a finally goodbye?"

Nate took the laptop and I watched, as he seemed to get lost in a memory before he shook his head and look back at me. "Good Riddance." He stated before tossing the device over the side of the cliff. I watched as the laptop fell, until it was consumed by the ocean below.

"Holy shit." I breathed out a smile crossing my face, "I can't believe we just did that."

"Yeah." Nate said nodding before turning to me, "Thank you for trusting me."

"What do you mean?" I scowled confused.

"You talked to Cooper with me, and now you are standing on the edge of a cliff with me," he said a hint of amusement in his tone as he added, "a suspected murderer."

"Well, you do realize you are standing on the edge of the very same cliff… with me… also a suspected murder." I stated with a small laugh.

"Maybe we're both idiots." He shrugged and I laughed before he cleared his throat and raised his right hand his face getting serious. "I, solemnly swear, not to murder you today, or any day in the future."

"You are ridiculous you know that right?" I rolled me eyes.

"You know your avoiding a promise to murder me is kind of concerning." He stepped closer and I bit my lip trying to hide my smile as I cleared my own throat reaching my hands up to the side of his face.

"Nate Macauley," I said quietly taking another step closer, I could feel his hands on my hips as I continued, "I promise not to murder you."

"That's hot." He whispered his lips hovering over mine. Smiling his lips touched mine gently as he pulled me even closer, one of his hands now on my back. Just as we pressed ourselves together, a car zoomed past us. I gasped and took a step back to look at the headlights as they passed but stumbled. Nate was quick to grab my arm and pull me back to him as I watched the rocks I had just slipped on fall to the water below. Looking back at the road my heart was pounding as I took a deep breath.

"You okay?" Nate asked and I looked up at him.

"Yeah…" I nodded, the moment we had had earlier gone. Clearing my throat I pulled away slightly, "We should go… I need to be home soon or Katherine will be even more pissed." Nate agreed and we quickly got away from the cliff and he drove me a block from my house. I had told Katherine I would get a ride, but I didn't need her seeing me pulling up on the back of a motorcycle.

"Hey," he stopped me before I stepped away. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out the phone he had given me and handed it to me.

"Thanks." I took the phone and smiled at him before leaning forward and giving him a soft and gentle kiss. Stepping back, I started walking backwards watching as Nate chuckled and put his helmet on. Smile still on my face I slowly walked to the house. Heading up the drive way, I heard his motorcycle pull away down the street and turned to watch it go, but a dark vehicle a few houses down caught my eye. The same feeling I had had earlier outside of the school and the other night with Bronwyn was back. It looked like the same vehicle, and I could see the embers of a cigarette glow orange from the driver's seat. Swallowing and quickly made my way up the steps and shut the door, heart pounding.

Thanks for baring with my long hiatus and sticking with me.

I always appreciate comments, kudos, follows, all the above :)

See you all soon
