LEVI'S P.O.V.
Levi grit his teeth as he walked away with Mike from the rest of the squad and that brat. She was so fucking infuriating he wanted to shove his fist into her face over and over. She was arrogant and brash and fucking annoying. He couldn't get a read on her and that pissed him off. She was talented, that was undeniable. Incredibly knowledgeable with the gear. Almost too knowledgeable. Perhaps her story about fixing it up wasn't bullshit after all. She knew exactly what she was doing when she jammed the knife into his gear. She didn't just miss his torso like Levi originally thought. She needed that extended wire to get down from the building. She was smart and quick. In a word, dangerous. It took everything Levi had to stay onto her. Perhaps being in the military for a year had made his edge dull down. Actually, he wasn't sure about that. Fighting human eating monsters sharpens the edge if anything.
The worse thing about her was that she was a big ugly reminder. Reminder of them. Everything she's going through now. They went through. He... went through. Only a few years ago it was him getting hunted by the corps, it was him having his face pressed into the dirt by Mike. It brought back so many feelings of resentment. All the feelings he was trying to push down. The pain his friends' deaths caused him started to bubble to the service and he resented the brat for it. He resented her for getting caught like he did and throwing herself into this hell. Even if he was the one who helped capture her, he had mixed feelings while he was doing it. He wasn't proud to say there were a few seconds of hesitation. A few moments where he wanted this girl with the orange eyes to escape and slip back into the blackness. But that wasn't on her behalf. That was on his own. Because no matter how comfortable he was at the corps now, he would always trade everything in to get back to how it was before. It didn't matter if he had lived in the underground. Life was shit but his friends were alive. They were all he needed.
A knock on the door brought him out of his pissed off musings and he realised they were at Erwin's office.
"Come in." Erwin called and Mike opened the door. they both entered and took seats in front of Erwin's desk. Levi could tell Mike was still livid about what happened in the carriage. Being bested by a small girl in chains while she was warning him about her besting him probably didn't sit well with Mike, especially in front of his subordinates. As much as Levi was pissed off with her behaviour towards his squad leader too, he had to admit it was impressive. Even he didn't see her take the knife. And he knew from watching her defeat those 5 guys who had guns while all she had was a pathetic dagger, she would have been able to take down at least one of them before Levi could end her. She had the control in there and that's what made Mike so damn angry. Levi hadn't seen Mike angry before. It was oddly sobering. Demonstrated just how annoying this girl really was if it got under his skin of all people. "Mike, I believe you have some concerns." Erwin asked, interlocking his fingers and resting his chin on them. Mike coughed to clear his throat.
"Yes commander. I don't believe she is the right fit for our squad." Mike said seriously. Erwin raised an eyebrow.
"And why is this? You were contented having her until recently. Did something happen on the ride back?" Erwin enquired. Levi saw Mike grit his teeth but remained calm.
"She'll be a strain on my team. With the expedition coming up it's not something I can afford to risk." Mike stated professionally. Erwin smiled glancing at Levi.
"I think we all know from experience. A new soldier is a strain on anyone's team. Especially a soldier as skilled as her." Erwin said seriously. Levi's eyebrow twitched in irritation. Why did he feel like that was a backhanded comment against him?
"But sir-"
"I'm trusting you to handle this Mike. I trust her in no one else's hands. Is that clear?" Erwin demanded, putting his foot down. Mike looked annoyed but accepted defeat.
"Yes sir." He replied. Erwin nodded.
"You are dismissed. I have something to discuss with Levi." He ordered. Mike nodded and saluted before leaving the room. Erwin turned to Levi with a wide excited grin. "She's perfect. Absolutely perfect!" He was practically bouncing with excitement. Levi was not amused.
"There is nothing perfect about that brat. She's reckless and unstable." He countered. Erwin smirked.
"She's smart and quick. I was watching your fight. Her quick thinking may be unparallel." He mused. Levi frowned. Of course, the bastard would watch instead of actually helping.
"She's arrogant and stubborn." Levi shot back.
"She's fast and skilled. Before we go on, you do realise we are describing your young self when you entered this regiment 3 years ago, correct?" Erwin queried, raising a massive eyebrow. Levi glared.
"I was nothing like her." He growled. Erwin chuckled.
"I agree. She's better than you were back then." He pointed out. Levi opened his mouth to spit something back, but Erwin cut him off. "I made a gamble with you, just like I'm making a gamble with her. The last time I did this I ended up with humanities strongest, who is close to earning the title of squad leader. Who knows what I will get this time?" He smiled stupidly. Levi, again, was not amused.
"We may be from the same background; we may have a similar skill but we are not the same. I had a purpose here. I had people to protect. Losing them thanks to your shitty antics sobered me. She won't have that experience. She wont change. She's dangerous." Levi said in a low voice, gaining Erwin's attention.
"You think she'll try something?" Erwin asked. Levi crossed his arms; glad the blonde bastard was starting to use his head.
"I was hired to come here. Who says she wasn't given the gear and done the exact... same... thing. It's a likely possibility that she has a target or a motive. Even if it is to escape." Levi pointed out. Erwin furrowed his brows in thought. "Did you get the background check on her?" Levi asked.
"Hanji should be bringing it shortly." He mumbled under his breath, thinking things over. Levi bit back a smirk of approval. If he had things his way, the brat would be locked up by the end of the day. Who knows what havoc she had reeked already?
They sat there in silence, in their own heads. Levi couldn't get those fiery eyes out of his head. In fact, he was so deep in thought he had to supress a flinch as the doors bust open framing a panting Hanji.
"Shitty glasses, the fuck have you been?" Levi spat, annoyed at the delay. Hanji swallowed down some air and wiped the sweat off of her forehead before closing the door and saluting.
"My apologised for the delay boys. I had some rather urgent business to attend too." She grinned, sitting down in the chair next to Levi and setting the file down on her lap.
"And that was?" Erwin asked, curious. Hanji grinned like a mad woman and Levi had to avoid punching her in the face.
"You won't believe this right. There I was, strolling down the hallway, coming to meet you both and while trying to unlock my office to retrieve the file, I realise my keys are gone!" She burst out laughing. Levi frowned and slapped her up the back of the head. "Ouch!" She pouted.
"Get on with the point. I don't have all day." Levi growled. Hanji huffed but continued.
"I went back to the lab, curious to find the door open. I stepped inside and heard some nose from the infirmary. As it turned out, Dilan, the girl you captured today was in there, stealing medical supplies!" She cackled, slapping her knee. Levi grit his teeth and turned to Erwin.
"See! 5 seconds alone and she's already stealing from us!" Levi gritted out. Hanji composed herself and rolled her eyes.
"From my understanding Levi. You were doing the same thing with your-" Hanji started but Levi cut her off.
"Don't." He warned. It still hurt, not that he showed it on his face. Hanji suddenly looked regretful.
"Sorry. But moving on!" She got back to her cheerful self and Levi sighed in annoyance.
"Why would Dilan steal from the infirmary. Cadets don't even had access to that part of the wing without permission." Erwin mumbled, stroking his chin in though. Hanji choked out another crazy laugh.
"I agree it was a confusing occurrence. Catching a thief in the infirmary I expected them to be stealing something of at least a little value like pain medicine." She shook her head in disbelief. Levi raised an eyebrow.
"What did she steal?" Levi asked, curious. Hanji smirked.
"Bandages, needles, thread and an alcoholic wipe." She stated proudly. Levi blinked. The fuck? Hanji continued, sensing the pairs confusion. "Little Dilan was shot, and you idiots didn't even notice!" She said before bursting out laughing again. Levi and Erwin shared a look of surprise. She was fucking shot and she still managed to fight like that? Surely not. Erwin smiled widely at the realisation.
"So, she wasn't even fighting at her full potential. Marvellous." He mumbled. Levi rolled his eyes. What a freak.
"Anyway, I also found that she had managed to scale the wall and climb over the other side to access the building. Very impressive stuff. I talked to her a bit before she passed out from blood loss." Hanji mentioned. Levi's eyes widened a bit. The brat passed out, huh?
"Is she okay?" Erwin asked, probably worried he had killed his newest toy by accident already. Hanji nodded.
"She's fine, I patched her up. The bullet didn't go all the way through but created a deep gash in her shoulder. She's resting in the infirmary now." Hanji assured. Levi frowned. Would it be mean to say he wished the brat just died? Probably.
"I see. Her pain tolerance is rather impressive." Erwin mused before snapping out of it. "The file." He asked. Hanji blinked at him before looking at the file and jumping.
"Yes of course!" She said, passing the file over. "There's not much on the girl. Virtually nothing, I still need time to do some more digging. We know thanks to today that she frequents at this pawn shop to sell the money she steals from merchants in the street. She gives the leftovers of the money to an orphanage and she has a part time job at an establishment named Brandon bar." Hanji recapped. Levi raised an eyebrow.
"Orphanage?" He asked. That didn't seem right. Perhaps it was just a cover for something. Hanji nodded.
"I sent some men to interview the owner. The woman apparently gets a bag of money dropped outside a week anonymously to help with the children she houses. She said they wouldn't be able to survive without it. When asked if she knew it was Dilan my men told me she simply smiled and shook her head but said she should have guessed it was her." Hanji explained. Levi clenched his jaw. This girl was becoming more and more confusing by the second.
"Anything else?" Erwin asked. Hanji nodded.
"The place she went to on the outskirts. It's a dodgy place. Assassination ring, run by Kenny the ripper." Hanji said seriously and Levi's blood ran cold. If this girl knew Kenny, then he was right not to trust her. No one who knew Kenny was good news. "Considering she left the place with an envelope and was found at the house of a mobster gang the same night we can only draw the conclusion that she was there to kill one of the members." She added. Silence fell as they were all in their heads. A thief was fine but an assassin? Wasn't that a step too far? Sure, he had killed people in the past and was willing to do the same to get a life on the surface... but he had never made a living out of it. He wasn't that sick. With this information and the orphanage, he wasn't sure what to think. This brat was a double standard and he didn't like it.
"Erwin. She's dangerous." Levi repeated, hoping to get through to him. Hanji opened her mouth, probably to protest but Erwin held up his hand and cut her off.
"You will keep a watchful eye over her Levi. These are direct orders from me. Do not. Let. Her. Out. Of. Your. Sight." He spelt it out slowly in a tone that didn't leave room for arguing. Levi grit his teeth.
"Understood sir." He forced out. Erwin nodded in approval.
"Good. Dismissed." He said to both of them. They stood and saluted before leaving the room. Levi clenched his fist and had the sudden urge to punch something. Perhaps the brats face.
"Fucking baby-sitting. Here for a three fucking years and they've put me on baby sitting duty." Levi mumbled under his breath, thoroughly peed off.
"Well I'd take it as a compliment if I were you. He trusts you the most to get the task done." Hanji said from beside him and Levi glared. He hadn't even realised Hanji was still here.
"Piss off four eyes." He warned. Hanji smiled and shook her head.
"You see, we're going in the same direction, shorty. She's in the infirmary." She pointed out. Levi groaned and pinched the brim of his nose. "You know you really ruffed her up. She has a bruised rib and a small concussion. Plus, those cuts on her legs are quite deep." Hanji pointed out. Levi huffed, not caring if he punched her and kicked her a few times in the head and stomach. Then he caught the last sentence.
"I didn't cut her legs." He replied. Hanji blinked at him before a sad realisation came to her face and she looked away. "What?" he asked. Hanji shook her head.
"Nothing." She said quietly. Levi was almost concerned. Shitty glasses was never quiet. But he could use it right now, so he didn't care.
They got to the infirmary and Hanji stopped before the entrance again.
"What now?" Levi asked, annoyed. Hanji frowned.
"I locked this." She mumbled before pulling the door open wider and slipping inside. She ran to the infirmary and sighed seeing the empty bed. "She's gone." She pointed out. Levi took a breath to stop from completely exploding.
"What do you mean gone? How did she get out if you locked the shitty door, and did she steal anything?" He asked, his voice thick with annoyance. This was supposed to be a free day. Not hunt the brat day.
"I mean she's gone. She seems to have picked the lock and..." Hanji paused to search her messy infirmary and lab. "She didn't steal anything!" She proclaimed happily. Levi gave her a deadpan look.
"Whoop-de-doo." He said in a monotoned voice before turning on his heel and walking out of there, ignoring Hanji's annoying questions.
Levi clenched his jaw as he checked the headquarters. The brat wasn't in her assigned room, the mess hall, the quadrangle or with the rest of the squad who were chatting on one of the outside benches. He sighed and raked a hand through his hair. Well he had to kill her, now right? Was that allowed? Or would Erwin kill him for losing her already? Levi frowned. The blonde bastard could try. Levi took a moment to think about what he knew about the brat so far. She was annoying. She was a bitch. She was skilled. She was arrogant. She... liked the sky... Levi had seen her looking at it and it was the first time he had seen her with a genuine smile on her face. Unfortunately, he understood. It was her first time on the surface. The sky was just as amazing to him the first time. It was that thought that made Levi realise where she is and her rolled his eyes in annoyance.
He got up to the roof and looked out, unsurprisingly finding the brat laying on her back in the dirt, staring up at the sky with a stupid smile on her face. Levi reminded himself that this girl had killed before walking up to her.
"Oi." He said. The girl didn't flinch or move.
"Yes." She replied lazily. Levi didn't like her tone. He grabbed her by her collar and hoisted her up to her feet in one smooth motion.
"Listen up brat. I am your superior so you will address me with respect. Are we clear?" He hissed in a dangerous tone. Dilan glared at him and the hands touching her.
"As you wish... sir." She replied, although her words may as well be dripping with poison. Levi pushed her back and she stumbled a bit but regained her footing. "What do you want, sir? I'm pretty sure this is a free day." She asked, gritting her teeth through the formalities. Levi bit back a smirk of satisfaction.
"I'm on baby-sitting duty thanks to you. Can't trust an assassin to be by herself these days." He commented, crossing his arms, leaning on the wall. Dilan's normally narrow eyes widened a fraction. Guess she wasn't expecting the background check. Still, she quickly composed herself and decided to lay back down on the dirty floor.
"Sure thing." She replied. There was a moment of silence before she spoke again. "What are you then? I thought Mike was in charge?" She asked.
"Second in command." He replied. The girl turned her fiery gaze away from the sky to analyse him.
"Do the other members of the squad know their second in command is from the underground, like me... sir?" She smirked wickedly. Levi's face turned murderous in a second and he advanced towards her. How the fuck did she know that? Dilan was quick to jump up and spring back though. "Calm down. It was just an observation; you knew the underground way better than you should. Although, you did just kind of confirm my theory and the fact that your squad, except Mike, I'd say, has no fucking idea." She continued. "Sir." She added sarcastically. Levi was one wrong word from ripping her throat out.
"You need to watch it, brat. I have no reservations about throwing you off this roof and making it look like an accident." He threatened. Dilan's eyes sparked in amusement.
"Really?! Well I'll help you then." She said before running at the roof, jumping up on the edge, twisting her body to spread out her arms and close her eyes before falling backwards into the thin air. Levi's eyes widened and he darted to the side, grabbing the brat's hand before she plunged to her death. He gave her an exasperated look as she pouted and hauled her up. Once she was safely back on land, he punched her in the face to get her on the floor.
"Are you fucking suicidal?" He hissed, completely done. Dilan spat out some blood and shifted on the floor into a sitting position.
"You've lived down there. What do you think?" She hissed back. Levi opened his mouth to retort but found he couldn't. He had lived down there and he understood.
"Try that again and I'll make you face a fate worse than death. Clean yourself up and make sure you show for dinner." He ordered before leaving the roof. He couldn't be around her for another second. She was everything he didn't want to be reminded of. His pain and suffering. If the brat did end up jumping before dinner, he would have to live with that. She looked like she'd been through shit. Maybe death would be nicer. She had his blessing.
Levi spent the rest of his spare time doing paperwork for Mike and cleaning his room. Thanks to his new position on the squad that he had earned a few months ago now he had his own quarters. It wasn't big. A bed and a window. A desk in the corner but he didn't need any more really.
He could have spent his time with the squad outside, but Levi had never really been close with them. They were decent and respected each other but they weren't friends. Levi didn't have any friends; besides he was there superior so it would have been inappropriate. As the minutes in his room ticked on, Levi got more and more uncomfortable. He had questions that he was itching to have answered. One, being, had the brat killed herself yet? Not that he cared but Erwin was sure to blow a fuse. And two, being, if she hadn't killed herself, was she going to tell the squad about his past?
When Levi first arrive here. He was put in Flagons squad. They looked to him with fear and disgust like his current squad was looking at Dilan. But they all died on the expedition. In fact, almost everyone who knew he was from the underground had died or transferred out in the past three years. No one who cared or would spill his secret remained. It's not that he was ashamed or particularly cared if they knew, but even if he did respect the corps they were from the surface and closed-minded people. If they knew his background, they would treat him differently and some might even challenge him. He didn't want that to happen, even if he knew he could defeat every single person in this regiment, one on one. Or maybe that wasn't true anymore... the brat was injuried today but if she wasn't... would she have bested the corps? Levi knew he could have easily been stabbed today. A little higher or lower and the brat would have pierced his flesh instead of the 3DMG. The thought made a shiver run down his spine. Why did she spare him? She was supposed to be an assassin, wasn't she?
A snap of a pencil brought him out of his thoughts, and he realised he had been holding it too hard in his fury. Levi sighed and rubbed his face. He would not let this girl get to him. That's exactly what she wanted. Levi put down the paperwork and head out of his room. He was late to dinner. Guess, he was about to see what happened. If the brat wasn't here. She had most likely ended it.
Levi walked into the mess hall which was already brimming with talking comrades and scanned the area for those orange eyes that always gave him a rush when they locked with his. Their intensity was as deep as his own and it took a while to adjust to them. After a few moments he decided she wasn't here and walked to the squad. Guess he would get a mouthful from Erwin later. But he didn't care and sat down in his spare seat opposite Mike. The squad greeted him, and he nodded in return before they went back to their conversation.
"It's just bullshit. Complete bullshit. How could the military allow this? Isn't there some rules against this?" Tabitha complained loudly, shoving a potato in her mouth.
"She has a point. I mean wouldn't this come under safety precautions. She's putting us all at risk." Brand chimed in and Toby blinked.
"What do you mean? Sure, she's s-scary but-" Toby added quietly but Tabitha cut him off.
"She's from the fucking underground, Tobs! You think she's going to have our backs out in the field? She's dirt. She doesn't belong here." Tabitha growled out. Levi rolled his eyes. Perhaps he should be feeling offended, but he was too tired to manage it. He already knew their reaction would be like this. Its why he didn't want them to know. Although Mike seemed to get offended for him.
"Watch your mouth cadet. There are plenty from the underground worth our respect." Mike scolded and Tabitha looked down a bit.
"I don't think she deserves mine though, sir." She added. Mike sighed.
"Listen. She's on our team now and that means you will treat her with respect whether you like it or not. Over time we will see whether she deserves it or not." He said seriously and the group nodded. Levi looked up as something caught his eye and he blinked as the brat wondered into the room, hands in her pockets. Guess she didn't kill herself after all. The silence from the rest of the table told Levi they had spotted her too.
They all watched openly as the brat walked up to the food at the front. She looked confused, like she wasn't sure. Levi could tell she wanted more but, in the end, she just opted for an apple that she seemed to be mesmerized by. She grabbed a glass of water too and scanned the hall for somewhere to sit with those analytical eyes. If she had noticed Mike's squad, she didn't show it and opted for an empty three-seater at the back. The others seemed relieved that they didn't have to eat with her, but Levi grit his teeth in annoyance. She had to sit, there didn't she? Out of all the seats she choice the one with the most memories. The seats him and his friends sat at before they died. Fucking bitch.
On the way to the seat Levi saw one person intentionally step in her way, trying to trip her up, whereas most of the others had kept a safe distance so far. Guess this man was suicidal. Levi readied himself to intervene.
The man extended a leg for her to trip over, but the brat just stepped over it, twisted behind him and flicked the man on the back of the head before continuing on her way. A few sniggers from the watching crowd made the man turn red in anger and he advanced on the girl as she sat down at her table. The mess hall turned silent as they watched the interaction.
"Do you need something?" Dilan asked in a monotoned voice. The man growled at her tone.
"Yes, you fucking bitch. Go back to live in the shit you came from and leave the Corps alone." He growled. Dilan let out a puff of amusement.
"Happily. Maybe you could talk to the commander and help me out." She shrugged, biting into her apple and ignoring the mans murderous face. "Woah! This is amazing. You tried one of these things?" She grinned, her eyes widening in delight. Levi blinked at this girl. What the hell? Suddenly things turned violent as the man snarled and picked her up by her collar, grabbing the apple out of her hands and throwing it in the corner.
"YOU THINK YOUR SO FUCKING SMART DON'T YOU!?" He yelled, holding her up like it was nothing.
"Levi." Mike ordered and Levi nodded, standing up to intervene.
"No. If I was smart, I would have finished the apple sooner." She croaked out as the hands cut of her oxygen supply. In one quick movement she had arched her back, raised her knee and pulled the man's face down into it, creating an audible crack. He spluttered and winced in pain, letting her go and Dilan backflipped in order to land on her feet, towering over the man that laid on the floor with a gushing red nose and wide scared eyes. "I'm going to give you a warning." She started in a dangerous voice, taking a step towards him. The man flinched and tried to crawl back. "Don't. Touch. Me." She whispered but due to the deathly silence of the mess hall it could be heard echoing around in the space and Levi saw some of his squad pale.
The brat walked away, picking up the apple that was in the corner of the hall and heading out while trying to get the dirt and dust off of it. Everyone in the room was left balking. No one had the capacity to utter a single word. Even Levi was speechless.
A loud cackle from Hanji brought everyone out of their stupor as she laughed manically, banging her fists on the table and scaring the life out of her squad.
"PRICELESS!" She choked out, laughing so heavily she fell off of her chair.
"Section commander be careful!" Moblit, her second in command yelled. And with that the mess hall fell back into discussion, every single conversation about the 'savage' as they were calling her. Levi looked at Mike who was deep in thought. I don't think I was ever that bad. Levi pointed out to himself.
"Go after her." Mike ordered.
"And do what?" Levi scoffed. Mike sighed.
"Talk to her. She can't do that again, even if she didn't start it." He said seriously. Levi clenched his jaw.
"With respect, sir. We don't get along well. She might listen to you better." He said logically. Mike considered it for a second before shaking his head.
"Your best suited. Go now, before you lose her." He ordered. Levi didn't retort but didn't fail to give the man a glare before he left. 'best suited' the fuck is that supposed to mean? Just because I'm from the fucking underground? What bullshit. Levi frowned at nothing as he got into the cold air and kicked a pebble. Mike had never treated him differently because of his background before. What an ass.
"Interesting. They sent you." Dilan's voice brought him out of his thoughts, and he found her sitting on a bench, staring up at the starry sky. Levi sighed and walked over to her after giving the sky a good look himself. The stars were as bright as they were that night. His heart clenched painfully at the memory.
"Why's that, idiot?" He asked, taking a seat, a bench away from her. She sat up to look at him.
"Doesn't it piss you off, sir? Their giving you the grunt work because they think we're the same. They think because we lived in the same place, we'll get along and share comradery and all that bullshit." She said logically. Levi grit his teeth at the mention. She had figured it out too then. Still he couldn't let her talk about his superiors like that.
"They sent me, you piece of shit, because I'm the only one that can deal with you if you get out of line. Like you just did." He said darkly. Dilan shrugged and took a bite of the apple, making Levi grimace.
"What? I washed it in the fountain." She defended. Levi grimaced even more.
"That is not clean water." He pointed out, disgusted. Dilan laughed.
"Since when is water clean? You must have been up here for a while to forget that." She commented and Levi glared at her. "Fine, I'll drop it." She sighed.
"Damn straight. You won't tell anyone either." He warned. Dilan rolled her eyes.
"Why would I? That would just be spiteful. Why have them treat you the way they treat me?" She questioned, laying back down on the bench and munching on her apple. Levi blinked. He didn't expect that.
"To make me miserable?" He mumbled, annoyed by the double standard of this girl. She sniggered.
"Your already miserable. Your miserable, I'm miserable, the worlds miserable. That's the one thing humans have in common. Some try to hide it but we're all miserable deep down." She said with a sigh. Levi raised an eyebrow. This brat was rather insightful.
"Whatever. You pull shit like that again and there will be consequences." He warned. Dilan nodded.
"Alright. I'll let myself be strangled next time." She nodded again. Levi rolled his eyes. "You'll wait for someone else to intervene." He ordered. Dilan looked at him curiously.
"Like help?" She asked. Levi nodded and her face morphed into confusion. "Why would anyone help me when they all want me gone?" She asked seriously. Well she had Levi there. When Levi first arrived it sure as hell didn't feel like anyone would stand up for him. And the brat just proved that. Levi was ready to intervene, but the rest of the hall didn't move. They just watched her getting strangled. She had to take matters into her own hands. She had probably relied on herself her whole life.
"Just..." Levi sighed. This girl was exhausting. "Don't fuck up again." He said finally. Dilan nodded.
"I'll do my best, sir." She replied, looking back up at the stars. Not really knowing what else to say and not wanting to stay any longer, he left without a word. He done what he was told, the brat could take it from here. As he walked back, he replayed their conversation in his mind. What an odd girl.
