Welp, here I am! Took me way longer than I wanted but at least I can say that Elemental Islands episode 8 is done! I hope you all enjoy this one, and sorry about taking forever.

Reviewer Response:

TDNerd: Thanks for the kind words! I'm sure if I could break the fourth wall and show this review to Tegan she'd be very happy to see what you just said about her lol. Legitimately though, thank you for the review!

Now, you may see 'Part 1' in this episode title, alongside an 'E_' code next to each already released episode. I'm testing something with this episode, seeing if multi-part episodes that split the word count and give a general stopping point if you want to take a break, is better than just posting the full episode in one go. Tell me in reviews what you think, but keep in mind, multi parts will only be posted when the whole episode is done and the second part will be posted as soon as possible afterwards, so you won't have to wait like 3 months for me to post Episode 8 Part 2. I'll probably say more about this at the end of this part though so I'll leave it at that.

Without further ado, let's start the episode!

Chris starts this episode on the dock of Base Island, sitting on a lawn chair and saying "Last time on Total! Drama! Elemental Islands! The final 13 all had to come face to face with their greatest fears!" Footage shows the thirteen walking into their rooms followed by Lauren jumping back as a lightning bolt lands, Rory watching the scorpions emerge and Tegan cringing at all of the rats.

"Some contestants had it easy," footage showing Nadia and Xavier leaving the challenge first is next shown. "While some had it difficult," Gary and Susan's phobias are next to be shown.

"One interesting one was Jake's, who had to reveal his sexuality on camera for the entire world to see," Chris then laughs as footage of Jake revealing it and Nadia hugging him play.

"In the end the Electric Tigers won yet again and the Frozen Lions sent Tegan packing due to Gary wanting to keep his alliance together… And it looks like he's failed," Footage shows the Tiger's celebrating their victory, Tegan being revealed as the eliminated camper, her being launched away, and Xavier and Katrina walking away from the elimination area in a huff.

"Now that the game has well and truely gotten off the ground, who will fall next? What drama will these guys get themselves in to? And will I ever stop being so handsome? The answer to that last one is a no, but to figure out the rest? Keep watching… TOTAL! DRAMA! ELEMENTAL ISLANDS!"

Opening Guitar Riff:

The intro starts with the rock theme that is known so well to Total Drama fans, before a camera pops out from under some water, a microphone comes from the side towards some ground that hasn't been touched by raging fire around it. A light turns on from the side of a cave, illuminating it and a second camera pops from the bottom of a chunk of land floating, with a gopher holding on to it.

Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine,

The camera zooms past the dock speeding through the elimination area and the cabins before it goes towards one end of the island.

You guys are on my mind.

The camera goes past Chris arguing with Don before it zooms into the sky showing all five islands and zooms to Water Island.

You asked me what I wanted to be

On Water Island, Hannah and Tegan, both in Scuba gear, attack each other angrily. Meanwhile Jake and Nadia find a yellow rock before Nadia turns around and angrily yells at the two fighting above.

and now I think the answer is plain to see,

Inside a cave on Earth Island, Myron, Megan and Carol walk inside, with Carol holding up a comic book and excitedly commenting on it to a not interested Myron and Megan, who look at each other worried about the cave.

I wanna be famous.

Susan writes in a small notebook furiously while making a small smile before she looks at the camera and smiles and waves at the camera.

I wanna live close to the sun,

Inside the confessional, Lauren looks around excited before she looks at the camera and makes a determined smile to the camera.

Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,

On Air Island, Bob punches a punching bag clean off what was being hanged, while Jemma watches and writes something on her notepad before a bear comes out of the bushes and prepares to attack them, which scares both of them.

Everything to prove, nothing in my way

Xavier is seen showing Gary a few costumes, first a cowboy costume where he's swinging his hat on his finger, then a 1930s mobster suit and making finger guns and finally a rapper costume where he pretends to rap. Gary isn't paying attention and instead makes a small smirk

I'll get there one day.

Fire Island appears with Richard standing there bored before he looks at the camera

Cause, I wanna be famous!

Morgan then runs over and pushes him over so he can appear in the camera lens. An angry Rory then runs over and helps up Richard, who just sighs and shrugs.

Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!

Back at the dock of Base camp, Alfred looks at the camera, a smug smile plastered on his face before he starts bossing around a couple of interns, including Katrina who was chatting with them before. Katrina and the interns get annoyed and push him into the water, the resulting splash of water covers the camera and the time changes to night.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous (Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!)

Rory and Susan look at each other lovingly before they lean forwards, only for Chris to get up and blast his megaphone, making them jump back in surprise, Susan puts her hand on her heart in shock and Rory holds his head, as the camera zooms out to the rest of the campers whistling the closing notes of the song.

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous

The episode fades into Bob, walking out of his cabin with a yawn. The giant is quickly stopped by Gary, who says to him, "Over here, it's time for an alliance meeting,"

"I just woke-" he cuts himself off with an annoyed sigh and follows Gary to the trees. After arriving, Bob notices that it's only the two of them,

"So… Where's everyone else?" The giant asks with a smirk,

"I'm working on them…" Gary rolls his eyes, "Turns out last elimination made them mad,"

"Oh, what really?" Bob snarks back, "I couldn't tell based on the ceremony,"

"I don't know why you're so chipper," Gary glares, "You're the only other person still in the alliance."

"Just because I'm in the alliance doesn't mean I won't be happy to see you fail," Gary turns around with a start, speaking slightly louder with

"Well, if you're so brazen, I may as well ask. Did you tell anyone about the full details of our little… Deal?" Bob pauses for a second, before replying,

"No." Gary stares at him before going back to a neutral expression.

"Hmm, alright…" The Theatre Kid turns around and stares down the Giant before he frowns, "Well this next bit is probably going to make you happy. There might potentially be a change of plans, so Jemma might not be our next target."

Bob grunts, "Perhaps it will, who's the target then?"

"Not sure, I'll tell you next time we lose…"

"Alright," The giant turns around, "Was that all?"

"Pretty much," Gary nods as Bob leaves, Gary growls to himself.

Confessional:

"He asked me if I told someone about the blackmail…" Bob comments before sighing, "It's unlikely, but Xavier might have accidentally spilled the beans… Or he tricked me."

"Do you honestly think I believe Bob?" Gary glares at the camera. "Obviously he's lying, but I can't just let him know that…" The theatre kid grabs a bag and pulls out the plush dog he stole from the giant, "This plush… I'm going to be completely honest; I'm probably not burning it, because this thing is the thing stopping that gorilla from choking me out… And even then, it's served its purpose, I may as well just leave it hidden somewhere after Bob goes."

Gary puts a hand up to his head and groans, before continuing, "With the gift of hindsight, I think I got a bit too overzealous rubbing it in his face… Really, I've just been thinking. Between everything that happened yesterday, I need to change my game plan… The whole, 'alliance leader' thing is dead, and while I still have Bob for now, I need to either get the votes for a majority or that immunity idol… I mean, I went from top dog to bottom spot in one elimination, I need to respond."

Confessionals End:

The entrance to the intern cabin swings open, with Morgan leaving while whistling. He is followed by the other interns looking far less happy.

"What are you so happy about?" The short intern, Otis grumbles.

"Nothin' much," Morgan replies, his smug smirk before he walks off toward the Tiger's cabin, putting on an apron.

The Tiger's all sit around waiting for their breakfast. While the situation isn't as cold as before, the contestants still aren't talking to each other.

Morgan walks in and starts to collect the food saying, "You all look super happy, how's my happy former teammates going?" Nobody pays any attention to the Perfect Guy, who then takes the plates and walks off.

"So…" Jake starts, trying to stop the awkwardness, "How is everyone after yesterday?"

"I feel better," Carol jumps in with a weary smile. "Last challenge actually kind of helped me weirdly enough…"

"Hey, that's nice," Jake smiles, "How about everyone else?"

"Alright, I guess," Rory nods at the leader with a neutral expression.

"Alright, everyone else? Nadia? Lauren?"

"Well in all honesty, we should be asking you," Nadia starts, "So… Are you alright?"

Jake's eyes go wide as he quickly yells, "Yeah I'm fine, nothing to worry about," he then stands up with a quick, but fake chuckle, "I've gotta go for a bit," he then walks off. After a moment of surprise, everyone looks at each other unbelievingly.

"He's fine eh?" Rory sarcastically responds,

"I'll get him," Nadia then runs off, noticing Jake passing a corner. "Wait up!" Nadia yells out, "Come on, if you don't want to talk to the team as a whole, at least talk to me, if it's about what I think this is about then I can give you advice."

"Gee, you think you know what it is?" Jake replies, surprisingly annoyed, "That's not confident for you," realising what he just said, Jake looks up mortified,

"Wow, you don't have to be rude y'know?" The Hot-Blooded looks ahead annoyed. Jake shakes his head,

"S-sorry…" He starts, "That slipped out, I shouldn't be yelling at you like that,"

"All good," the girl sighs, "but I'll reiterate what I asked before. Are you actually alright?" Jake freezes for a moment at Nadia's question, thinking, before he groans.

"I mean, yeah… Y'know I'm happy I came out and all, but I'm also terrified, so that isn't fun."

"Your dad?" The Hot-Blooded asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Yep," Jake grumbles, "Look, he's always been pretty accepting overall, but I don't know if that'll extend to me, something like the shock of his son coming out could get to him. If he doesn't accept me then what can I do? There's a good chance he will accept me and I don't want to demonize him on national TV or anything, I just keep thinking of different, horrible what-if scenarios and it's stressing me out majorly."

"Well if he doesn't then screw him." Nadia shrugs, "He doesn't deserve you if that happens. Anyways, if he kicks you out and you lose out on a place to live, I'm sure I can convince mom and dad to let you stay awhile at my place. Hell, Xavier's family might even let you move in, you never know. Anyways if he really is as accepting as you just said, it shouldn't be an issue."

"Really?" The leader sighs with relief.

"My advice?" The Hothead follows up, "If it's stressing you out, then just don't think of it for a while, you've got the rest of the season to think up what you want to say to him,"

"Good idea," Jake begins to form a small smile. This is until he then looks over and sees a camera recording what they're saying. "Wait… Is that a camera?" He looks over worried, "Di-did it just catch all of this?"

"Probably," Nadia starts to say with wide eyes, before realising something, "Alongside our other conversations we had here." A few seconds pass before Jake suddenly runs over to the camera, with the feed cutting off for several seconds.

"How do I turn this thing off!?" Jake yells as the feed cuts back in, "I don't want this airing!"

"Is there an off button?" Nadia questions, just as concerned.

"Can't see it if there is!" he yells. Nadia runs over and starts to help her friend out. After a few seconds of both attempting, Myron walks over to the two, causing them to pause.

"What's up?" Jake asks.

"Well it's the three of us," The nerd reasons, "how about we do an alliance meeting or something?"

"What?" Nadia sounds genuinely confused, "No? Not right now?"

"Oh, alright," Myron disapointedly sighs. In response, Jake simply sighs and then walks off towards the confessional. Nadia and Myron look at each other.

Confessional:

"Okay, so just don't think about home for a bit," Jake says to himself, "That's fine, with how this game's going, I've got a lot of things to think about at this point between Xavier and Su... san." He then facepalms, "I completely forgot about Susan didn't I?" With a groan he puts his head into his hands, "Today's gonna be a loooooong day for me."

Confessional Ends:

Myron and Nadia keep standing around, with the former saying, "He's… Alright with me isn't he?"

"Yeah, don't worry," Nadia responds, "He's just having a rough time after the last challenge. Cut him some slack, he's trying," Myron sighs with relief,

"Okay then, so we're still good against Susan? Our alliance is still a-go?" The nerd asks.

"Obviously," Nadia smiles.

"Sweet," Myron then scratches the back of his head awkwardly. "After Susan who should we go for first then? Lauren or Carol?"

"The one that does worse in challenges," Nadia simply replies with, "Well, unless if it's right before the merge, then it's the more threatening one. Though I would prefer Carol, she can stay if Lauren fits either area."

"Good to know." Myron nods, "We are still good keeping Rory in? Just making sure."

"Yep," Nadia responds, starting to look with annoyed, "What's with all the questions?"

"N-nothing," Myron walks off, looking worried.

Confessional:

"That… Makes me less confident," Myron starts, "Look, obviously I'm the bottom of the alliance, that's understandable, but both of them just kind of just sounded… Dismissive." He starts thinking, "I need to keep an eye out on them, especially Jake."

Confessional Ends:

Jake runs out of the cabins and sees Susan by the beach. "Hey, hang on a sec," he calls out before Susan turns around quickly says,

"Oh, Jake?" The Genius looks up in surprise, before composing herself. "Great, have you… Decided whether you believe me?"

"Yes," Jake's expression hardens as to not show his answer.

"C-cool, what is it?" Susan asks, somewhat worried.

"No… I don't." Jake's face glares, hearing this, Susan simply slouches.

"Oh, alright… Sorry to bother you then," The genius responds quietly, Jake examines her face slowly before slowly smirking.

"And that Susan, is what is called, a test," The leader's comment causes Susan to look up confused. "I wanted to watch your reaction if I said no. If you were lying, you'd probably do something like get mad or fake waterworks, but resigned disappointment? There's a chance, but it feels less likely to be a lie in my books…"

"What?" Susan looks somewhat confused before Jake smiles,

"Don't worry, I'm willing to believe you."

"Oh uh, really?" Susan asks.

"Yeah, sorry I had to trick you like that," Jake relaxes and makes a smile, "I'm willing to try and get you back in the good graces of the team… With a couple of conditions."

"What are they?" The Brainiac replies, looking relieved, but determined.

"I want to make sure I'm in the clear, so if we lose and you haven't gotten at least someone back on your side by elimination, you have to be alright with me voting you off. Also, Nadia and Myron are off-limits from voting off, so only Lauren, Rory or Carol can be voted."

Susan thinks for a moment before saying "Well, I guess it's the best deal I'm gonna get for the moment, sure,"

"And I want us to shake hands on it," Jake puts his hand out. Susan shrugs, and completes the handshake while saying,

"Sure."

"Pleasure doing business with you," the Leader replies, smiling before they both walk away.

Confessional:

"If Susan gets Rory and Carol back, I feel good and it's only a tie in the votes, not a majority for them." Jake explains, "If push comes to shove then we should be able to split the votes, and I'm pretty sure with how well the team is doing we can hold out until merge and we get people like Jemma and… Xavier on our side." The leader looks downwards, a small blush appearing. He looks back upwards, shaking his head quickly to get himself back. "If she doesn't get them, I tried my hardest and my group still has the majority, this is a win-win for me and I won't have to feel bad for not helping."

"It's better to have one ally over none at all," Susan states with a determined glare, "If I can get Lauren out then I should be able to earn back some of my popularity, even with Morgan still being here."

Confessional Ends:

Katrina stands at the entrance of the girl's cabin, tapping her fingers against the wood impatiently. After Jemma exits, tired, Katrina quickly grabs her and says, "This way," before pointing to the side. The two girls then walk to an empty area and start to talk.

"I know you don't like me," Katrina starts, without giving Jemma a moment to speak, the Former Intern continues, "but the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and we share an enemy in Gary, so I want to truce."

Jemma steps back in surprise, saying, "Well, that was direct."

"Because I need allies, I'll help you get rid of Bob after Gary, but Gary needs to go first, he's too strategic," The Journalist looks at the Intern, eyeing her down.

"I'll think about it," Jemma replies, Katrina nods.

"Good, just keep it in mind," she says, Jemma then walks off as Katrina sighs. Katrina then turns around and starts to walk, looking downwards in thought before she slams right into Xavier, knocking both of them over.

"Oww," The Method Actor groans, rubbing his head,

"Watch where you're going," Katrina snaps, not realising who it was. When she does notice him, she calls out, "Wait, Xavier, I want to talk to you for a second,"

"Sure," he replies, as both stand up, "What's wrong?"

"I saw you got annoyed at Gary last time during the elimination," The Intern explains before asking, "What'd he do?" Xavier pauses for a moment before frowning,

"He lied to me, pretty much just treated me like a robot that would follow his every command and got annoyed when I dared to have a different thought,"

"Oh, those people are the WORST, Chris was just like that," Xavier looks up confused,

"Wait, how'd Chris treat you like tha-" He then trails off and facepalms, "Forgot you used to be an intern for a second there,"

"Smooth," Katrina dully comments. However, her eyes light back up as she says, "Look, I'm guessing you want Gary out?"

"Obviously," Xavier nods, Katrina smiles before continuing.

"I'm not saying an alliance, just a truce. We vote off Gary and then go our separate ways if you want. If that goes well enough maybe we can truce for a bit again at some point, or turn it into an alliance, all up to you."

"Yeah, sure I'm down for that," Xavier nods.

"Sweet," The former intern warmly smiles.

"One thing first though," Xavier asks, causing Katrina to raise her eyebrow, "Just wanna know, do you have a third vote?" She relaxes.

"Well, not right now, but I've asked Jemma and she's thinking about it."

The Method Actor pauses for a moment before smiling, "Alright, sweet! I'm down for that then." the duo proceed to fist bump.

"Alright, see you around then." The two then walk off. After stepping away from the conversation, Xavier's guise drops as he groans and says,

"Juuuuust great,"

Confessional:

"So Katrina's starting to try and take over," Xavier rolls his eyes. "Great, I'm stuck between two different people trying to be the top dog of the team. It does seem like Katrina's in the better position to lead for now though, best not to get on her bad side for the moment."

"Three out of five votes potentially," Katrina states smirking, "You've outdone yourself, Gary, I didn't even need to do much." The intern does start to think, her brow furrowing, "Though there is the chance Xavier ends up running back to Gary's side. I'll need Bob as well, but what is he getting blackmailed with? And how can I solve it to get him indebted to me? Those are the two biggest questions."

Confessional Ends:

Gary stands around after his alliance 'meeting', annoyed and taking deep breaths to try and calm himself down before he suddenly hears footsteps. Turning he notices Lauren walking in, smirking.

"Took you long enough, What do you want?" Gary asks,

"Hiya Gary, how're you doing?" Lauren responds, ignoring the question.

"Pretty bad," The Theatre kid starts, grouchy, "I need a boost to my game badly."

"Really Gary? And here I was thinking you'd be the Alejandro to my Heather…" Lauren's voice is twinged with smug sarcasm.

"Oh, shut up," Gary shoots back, "If only I could find that stupid idol, I'd be in the clear, at least for one elimination."

"If only…" The fangirl starts, her eyes lighting up, "Well, I'm interested in that idol too, I wanna keep it for the personal collection at home, maybe use it if I need to. So, maybe we can put our brains together on this one."

Gary stares down at the Fangirl.

"We are aligned, remember," Lauren adds. "I mean, I think it's easier to have you as an ally rather than an enemy and vice versa for you, what do you have to lose?"

"The game if you steal my idol," Gary replies.

"Look, if I find it, we can both have it, use it when one of us is on the chopping block, how about that?"

Gary considers Lauren's words,

Confessional:

"She's a snake," Gary starts, "Buuuuut, if she does anything to screw me over, I can just reveal she started an alliance with me and stole the idol from me to send me home. I've made it no secret I'm the big 'villain' strategist, it's her game to lose if she takes me out. At least one of them has to believe me and investigate more."

Confessional Ends:

"Fine, you've got yourself a deal,"

"Good," Lauren replies before pausing. "So what do you have so far?"

"Seriously?" Gary questions, annoyed.

"I have general thoughts but if they match yours then I may as well not say it."

"You know what fine… It's probably not on Fire or Water Islands."

Lauren looks confused for a moment but then puts two and two together and realises, "It could get lost on Water Island under the sea and it's made out of wood so going on Fire Island's just a bad idea in general. Smart deduction."

"Thank you,"

"Well alright, I guess it's my turn. I'd say Base Camp is probably too small for Chris to want to hide it here, he'd want it found and played, but not in say, the first 5 episodes." Lauren adds. "So that means Earth or Air Islands."

"Fair point," Gary comments. "Yeah that makes sense, Earth and Air Islands are probably a good place to start,"

"Exactly," Lauren begins, "See? it's a lot easier when we both put our heads together."

"You don't have to be so smug," Gary retorts, before muttering to himself, "It's not like you did much."

"What was that?" Lauren asks.

"Nothing," Gary follows up.

"I thought not," Lauren responds.

Confessional:

"Notice me not telling her about what I found on Earth Island a few challenges ago?" Gary leans back with a smile on his face, "That potentially keeps her off finding the place and I have a better chance of just finding it and being able to keep it for myself." Gary finishes off by saying, "If she finds it, then we share it, sure. But if I find it, boom."

"Gary's a pathway onto the other team," Lauren states, shrugging. "He's not overly popular right now, but if I can get him, there's a chance I could befriend Katrina more, then Jemma, then Bob and Xavier and boom, I have that whole team in my back pocket." She then leans back, "It's moooooostly a social game," The fangirl then loses her balance, falls back and hits her head on the back of the confessional. "Owwwww," she groans.

Confessional Ends:

Don walks to the host's cabin, frown on his face, before opening it. The first thing he hears is Chris laughing and Chef looking bored as both sit on couches.

"And so I said, "You are so eliminated. You're more eliminated than anyone's ever been eliminated. Even that beatbox guy!" He then laughs harder, "I mean, I brought that Bernardo guy into it!"

"Isn't it Beardo?" Chef questions.

"I dunno, but anyway, you totally should have been there!"

"I was there," Chef frowns.

"Oh yeah, you were," Chris comments, deep in thought, "Y'know, why didn't you talk that much during Pahkitew?"

"Eh, I didn't feel like saying that much," Chef shrugs as Chris' eyes go wide as he points to the door sputtering. Chef rolls his eyes and says, "Don?"

"YEAH? Why aren't you surprised?"

"I told you…" He starts, "Several times… Today."

"You did?" Chris asks before realising, "Crud, I thought you were just talking about a laundromat coming to pick up my dry cleaning or something!"

"The dry cleaner is named Dan," Chef reminds Chris, "Not Don,"

"You probably should have realised," Don begins, "We sent you the email last night."

"And I told him several times then too," Chef calls out.

"What are you doing here this time?" Chris grumbles.

"Just here to check up that nobody's been either grievously injured or traumatised."

"Nope!" Chris comments, "None that I can see,"

"I'm still going to have to watch today's challenge anyways," Don comments, "That's the rules."

As everyone's talking, Morgan walks in with a teapot and mug, causing Don to look confused..

"Here's the drink Chris," the Perfect Guy gives a fake smile, before he notices Don

"He's started already?" Don asks, "He doesn't have a contract yet though? Legal's still clearing it up."

"Well…" Chris begins, "I'm testing the waters here. If he doesn't do well enough then we can fire him before he even gets the job. You can put it down as volunteer work or something."

"That's not how it works," an annoyed Don pinches the bridge of his nose, "Do we need a manual for you or something? I mean, seriously Chris, we can't defend you for all that things you're doing,"

"Oh shut up, just let me just host the season."

"That's the thing, we can't trust you after All Stars and Pahkitew, so we have to keep an eye on you,"

"Look, you said make sure nobody dies, I've done that!" Chris yells, "You don't have to come over like I'm a baby. Like it or not I've done six seasons of this,"

"Only five since Pahkitew and All Stars get counted as one," Don angrily states. "And as I said, you went completely off the deep end by the end there. So yeah, we have to 'treat you like 'a baby'."

"FINE!" Chris yells, "If you want to be like that then let's just do the challenge."

"Good," Don yells back, "Let's see how badly you'll do today." Don and Chris then all walk out annoyed, leaving just Chef and Morgan.

"Well okay then," Chef shakes his head, "Let's see how this goes." He then steps out of the tent.

"Aaaaand I'm still here," Morgan comments. "Well, I'll just go then." He then awkwardly exits the room.

The scene changes back to Lauren and Gary.

"So your only other ally left is Bob eh?" Lauren comments with a smirk.

"Oh come on, since you're trying to act all high and mighty, how many allies do you have?"

"Hmm let's see," The Fangirl smirks, "Me, You, Carol. Not much more but I have way fewer people who hate me, and you're giving me a reason to talk to your team members now,"

"Hmm," Gary groans.

Confessional:

"She's such an ass," Gary growls, but he closes his eyes and calms himself down, "Buuuut she is an ally, for now, I can't let that go to waste."

Confessional Ends:

"Alright, alright," Lauren starts, "I'll be nicer now, I'm just really happy about the game it's really fun!"

"Finally," Gary grumbles.

"That only goes so far, if you do more of that I'll make more comments."

Suddenly, over the loudspeaker, Chris' voice is heard, considerably more annoyed than normal.

"Campers… Just go to Water Island for the next challenge and don't worry about swimwear."

"He's not happy," Lauren says,

"Oh really?" Gary sarcastically responds, "Never would have known."

"Oh shut up," Lauren replies,

"No," the theatre kid says back.

The duo then walk toward the challenge as Gary starts to mutter,

"Sierra Junior," Lauren hears this and fires back.

"Mr Nearly out of Allies."

Confessional:

"Wow Gary's a dick," Lauren comments, "I know things are bad for him and I did make a few jokes, but I wasn't that jerky to him, right?"

Confessional Ends

The final 12 rows out to Water Island, making it over to the glaring frown of Chris, Don standing next to him.

"Hey, Don," Carol waves at the other host.

"Hey contestants, I'm just here to check up on how Chris is doing,"

"That explains why Chris is mad," Lauren whispers to Gary, Chris then cuts the conversation off by frustratedly saying.

"Are you all here?"

"Let's see," Katrina sarcastically starts, pointing at herself and then Xavier, "One, Two," she then feigns surprise and says, "Would you look at that, twelve,"

Chris ignores Katrina's comment and says, "Let's do this challenge then. Under the water here, there's a pirate ship, and in seafloor and caves around it, there is a bunch of different kinds of sunken treasure and coins. You have to collect all the coins you can and put them in your team's treasure chests above water. After that, we'll see how much money you had and the team with more will win. Losers may go to elimination, aaaaaand don't steal from the other team's chest because that isn't allowed. Cool, you all know the rules,"

"Where are the air tanks?" Myron asks, "So we can, y'know, actually breathe?"

Chef then moves twelve over, with Chris commenting, "There, now make sure things are alright for everyone, none of you drown or anything."

"Okay, good thing my drown-proof pants are on," Nadia snarks.

"Just start the challenge already," Chris dully says, "Uh, in Three… Two… One… NOW!"

The twelve campers run ahead and quickly grab the first air tank they can.

Chris walks over to Don, who is writing on a clipboard, "See, I can do a challenge fine." He then sees Don starting to write something down, 'Chris forgot about th-'

"Uh, wait a second campers!" Chris comments, causing everyone to freeze in place, "There's a few treasures down there that give more points than regular old coins, I'm not saying what or how many there are 'cause that'll be too easy, but make sure your team at least has a few of them. Also, you have one hour to do the challenge," Chris gestures at a timer, paused at 59:53.

"Is that it?" Susan asks,

"Yeah, I'd say so," Chris replies, chuckling awkwardly, "now you can go,"

The campers all run off to start the challenge. Chris turns around to see Don erasing what he was going to put down. Don then looks back up, starting with,

"So, do you have an onsite medic here in case anything out of your control happens?"

"Yeah, we do for Earth, Fire and Air Island, Base Camp too,"

"But what about Water Island?" Don asks,

"We… Don't have the space for it," Chris awkwardly comments.

"Mhm," Don states with a frown as he starts to write.

Over with the campers, The Electric Tigers all stand around putting the air packs on, Jake quickly turns to the team and starts to plan.

"Okay, so my thinking is, Rory, you've got the longest arm span of all of us so you just focus on grabbing as much of the gold coins as humanly possible, yeah they aren't as much as the treasures, but if you can get a lot of them we might not even need the treasures." the jock nods with a smile and comments,

"On it,"

"Sweet, okay so we should probably all pair up after that, there's seven of us so take out Rory and that's 3 duos."

"Sounds good to me," Myron shrugs.

"Alright," the leader nods, Nadia goes to walk up to Jake but the leader turns to another camper, "Carol, do you want to go with me this challenge?"

"Me?" Carol asks, "W-well alright then, I wasn't expecting that in all honesty." Jake turns around to Nadia and whispers,

"Sorry, just trying to get some insurance,"

"Okay," Nadia whispers back before she shrugs and says, "Myron, you down?"

"I'm down," The nerd cooly says back,

"Wait but that means…" Lauren starts.

"I'm with her!?" Susan follows up, pointing at the Fangirl.

"Yep…" Nadia starts, curtly nodding at both,

"Can't I just go with Carol instead?" Susan complains,

"Well, I don't think she wants to after what you've done to her," Lauren starts, "I don't want to either, can I go with Carol?"

"No, I'm going with Carol," Jake definitively commands, staring at the duo.

"Uhhh," Carol watches the situation with a bemused expression.

Confessional:

"Wow, three people arguing about doing something with me…" Carol states, unsure. "That's… Something I don't see every day. Usually, they're fighting to not be with me."

"Risky? Yes," Jake begins, "But think of it this way. There is a solid chance that if Carol goes with Susan, then Carol won't talk to her unless necessary, if she goes with Lauren, then Lauren's going to continue to talk about everything bad Susan's done. However Carol likes me, and I'm not even going to force her to chat with Susan, just… Help with her emotions if she wants. Rory went off on his own for reasons I said before, Myron and Nadia are my alliance members so they can work together fine, and well… If Lauren and Susan really are the rivalry Susan described, then Lauren can't manipulate Susan into an alliance or anything. It's not perfect, but it hopefully works."

Confessional Ends:

"I'm not gonna fall for any of your tricks ever again," Lauren exaggeratedly yells with a point as the Susan rolls her eyes.

"Let's just get this over with," the duo then put on the helmets and jump into the water.

"Good luck everyone," Rory says to the remaining group before jumping in.

Nadia looks at Myron and says, "Let's show those Lions what we're made of!"

"YEAH!" Myron yells before they jump in, leaving just Carol and Jake.

"Ready to start?" Jake asks.

"Yeah," Carol replies, smiling back, "Let's win this." Before they follow their team.

Meanwhile, with the Lions, Gary watches the Tiger's strategy before he looks at the team, "Honestly just split up and look for stuff, we don't have the numbers to do stuff like that," the five nod and jump in.

After everyone submerges underwater, they all look downwards and see the massive ship under them.

"Huh, that's… pretty big," Bob says, the teammates around him nod, as if they heard it, though that leads to a realisation from one other camper.

"What the hell? I just heard that?" Jemma says, surprised, this is followed by the static of a radio playing before Chris starts to speak.

"Okay, so you can also communicate with the other members of your team. And you can filter out who you're speaking to, on your arm there should be some waterproof tech with a communicator inside. When you speak too your voice will be sent out a little so people in the other team can hear what you say. The whole air limit thing from the last Water Island challenge is gone too, you've got more than enough to talk as much as you want, as long as you don't damage the suits you will be able to breathe the whole time."

"Wow, you didn't do well describing the challenge initially," Katrina says, unimpressed,

"Shut up!" Chris yells back.

"Well that's useful," after pausing for a couple seconds she says, "just double-checking, but you guys are hearing me say all of this?"

"Yep, I heard that alright," Katrina replies back.

"Cool so we can coordinate," The journalist states, happily, "I'll let you all know if I need anything." She then swims off.

Bob notices Rory swimming over to the ship, causing him to say, "Let's see what you're doing…" And to follow after him.

Susan looks at the technology and turns off everyone but Lauren.

"Mute everyone else," she says, glaring at Lauren, who does so, before smirking.

"What's wrong? Feeling weak? I don't know why that would be the case."

"I do have to admit," Susan sighs, "Good job on taking advantage of Morgan's comments, that's pretty much what clinched the team not liking me."

"Oh no, I only saw the opportunity when I had it, you did most of the work actually, I owe practically all of this to you."

"I wasn't denying that," Susan says back, "But your relative popularity in the team gave Morgan that push of legitimacy."

"No, no, it's pretty much all you, the way you denied made it obvious to people, I only put on the waterworks to give myself plausible deniability."

"And what if I had some way of recording what you said?" Susan replies.

"This stuff's waterproof, but I doubt you could sneak any cameras onto the island, and even then, you would have slipped up by now considering you have other things you need to defend yourself from and Chris would have taken them. Anyways, do you really think I haven't thought of workarounds?"

"Like what," Lauren's eyes go wide before she sighs.

"Darn I let you know too much… I shouldn't have told you about the idol." Her eyes go wide again, at the same time as Susan's

"You have the-?" Susan cuts herself off, her face turning into a glare, "No… This sounds too good to be true for you."

"Well, I might, I might not…" Lauren shrugs, looking innocently, "Do you really want to risk it and find out?"

Susan grumbles in annoyance. "Let's just do the challenge," She adds as the duo swims off.

Confessional:

"Lauren's off the table for now…" Susan starts, "I'd say I'm 60% sure Lauren doesn't have it… That's still 40% of my head saying she does. I'm also already the target to go, I can't take risks like that for now." Her eyes go wide, "Crap that just leaves the group Jake wanted to keep in… That's annoying, I'll have to try and convince him"

"And that is how a mind game is played," Lauren yells happily, "She's not gonna risk voting me, even if she has the votes to send someone home. I've gotta thank Alejandro and Heather for inspiring me to do stuff like that!"

Confessional Ends:

Xavier swims towards a cave, saying to himself, "Okay, let's see… Where is that treasure?" As if on cue, the Method Actor sees some coins on the ground. "Sweet!" he says with a smile as he grabs a bunch and starts to swim back up.

Back on the surface, Chris, Chef and Don stand around, not saying much.

"So we're just going to wait for people to get up here?" Don asks.

"Well yeah, not much we can do here," Chris replies.

"Do you have divers to grab someone if they're unable to resurface?"

"No, we'll send Chef down to grab them if anything happens. Morgan if you want to give me the all important permission crap."

"I'll tell the producers you said that," Don shrugs, looking annoyed as Xavier surfaces and climbs back on land.

"And would you look at that! That's our first lot of points!" Chris calls out before the Method Actor drops some coins in the Lion's chest.

"I just got some!" Xavier yells to his team,

"Good job," Katrina replies, "How's everyone else doing?"

"Pretty decent," Bob starts, "I think I might have some more in a sec potentially."

"What's the time at?" Gary asks Xavier.

"Only about a minute has passed since we jumped in Gary," The Method Actor replies, confused. "At this point you should know that,"

"Alright, cool," Jemma jumps in, "See if you can find any other bits of treasure where you were before Xav,"

"Got it!" The method actor puts on a deep voice and yells, "Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to swim ocean currents in a single bound!"

"Just do the challenge," Jemma mutters annoyed, causing Xavier to go,

"Okay," quietly before jumping into the water.

Carol pauses in the water next to Jake, "I could swear I just heard someone do a superhero thing,"

"Alright?" Jake replies, confused.

"So what?" Nadia calls out over the speakers.

"Nothing," Carol quickly says, focusing back on everyone, "It's just weird y'know?" She then swims ahead, with Jake following behind.

Gary floats in the water after their team's previous chat, thinking before he looks over and sees Jemma looking around. He quickly follows by muting the other three members of the team and swimming over.

Confessional:

"I have Bob, but that's still a 3-2 vote against me though…" Gary starts, slouching, "I still need another vote…" Then he starts to smirk, sitting back up, "And I think I know exactly how to get her. It's going to be difficult but I think I have a trump card."

Confessional Ends:

Gary swims over to Jemma, asking her, "Hey, can you mute the other three quickly for a sec?"

"Why?" Jemma replies, dully, "Here to rub your victory in?"

"Well, no," Gary says back with a frown. "Just here to ask you something," Jemma looks confused before muting the others.

"Sure, what is it?" The theatre kid looks at her before saying.

"Look, I know I'm not the most trustworthy person here, that's obvious," Jemma nods slowly before Gary continues, "But compare me to Katrina and I'm way better. I was honest about alliances but she flip-flopped to whatever suited her better at any point."

"Sure, but you didn't have the wiggle room to change… Katrina has."

"Okay that's fair, and I get you feeling angry at me for the whole… Getting control of the team thing, but after I'm out, Katrina's getting along with him and Xavier and both of them probably think Bob's good physically, where does that leave you?"

Jemma sighs, "Bob's a threat to her, he could be targeted next."

"Could, not will. To be honest, she was focused on sending you home yesterday, I was the one that got Tegan out instead, so you owe still being in the game to me."

Jemma then starts to laugh, "Are you seriously saying that I should team up with you because you voted my friends out instead of me?"

"I guess you can see it that way. The way I see it is that Katrina wanted you out and I didn't. What's to say she doesn't have a hitlist of me at the front cause I'm an easy target, then you as her original target? With how badly the team is doing you might not even make the merge if I go."

Jemma freezes, thinking. "Hmm, that's fair, but still, an alliance with you?"

"I'm not even saying our alliance should be a permanent thing, just for one elimination and we can go our separate ways, I won't even fault you for voting me the following elimination, I just want Katrina out and I both want, and need your help."

The Journalist stares at Gary for a few seconds in thought before continuing.

"I'll get back to you, I want to think about it."

"Sure," The theatre kid nods with a smile, before swimming away.

Confessional:

Jemma sits, deep in thought. "So both Katrina and Gary have come to me asking to vote off the other… That's… Something." Surprisingly, she starts to chuckle to herself, "Well, this lit the fire in my game again! I'm the swing vote now, and there's a decent chance I'm not just going to be the next boot!" Jemma jumps upwards celebrating. "I'm not screwed!" After a few seconds, she sits back down and sighs with relief, "Still, the only person on my team I don't outright dislike right now is Xavier, and that's only 'cause he's not done anything against me specifically, yeah he voted against me, but he's not the leader and he wasn't a jerk, so eh, I can let it go. I digress, this is a tough choice overall."

Confessional Ends:

Rory swims over to the ship, swimming inside and finding some coins. Scooping them up into his hands, he turns around to see Bob swimming towards him and getting his own handful. Both campers swim up towards the surface.

Glaring at each other, they ram into each other, trying to knock coins out of each other's armfuls. Making it back to land, Rory notices Bob having more coins, which causes him to frown as they both deposit points into their chests.

"And both teams have points now thanks to Rory and Bob!" Chris calls over the speakers.

The larger duo glare at each other before Bob jumps back into the water. Rory thinks for a moment before he turns to Chris.

"Can I take my suit off for one moment?" He asks, Chris looks on annoyed.

"Wait, what was that Rory?" Jake cuts in suddenly.

"Eh sure, I don't see why not, you're the one wasting time,"

"Sweet," The jock says

"What's your plan?" Myron says, before Rory simply says.

"Trust me," before he starts to take off the helmet and chest plate. He then takes off his shirt, and quickly ties it around the arm of the diving suit, making a bag of sorts. "Perfect," he states smirking before putting the pieces back on and jumping back in.

"What did you do?" Nadia asks.

"I just made things easier against Bob," Rory says back,

"Wait Bob's against you?" Susan questions,

"Yes," The Jock replies to his former fling with a dulled voice.

"Are you sure you can deal with him?" Lauren's the next to question.

"Look, he's strong, obviously, and that does make him a threat," Rory explains, "but fear makes him stronger against us cause we're gonna just avoid him and give him a chance to win." This causes the Tiger's to stop speaking for a few moments, causing Rory to ask, "What?"

Susan breaks the silence by simply saying, "That was really eloquent,"

"Well uh… Thanks?" Rory responds, unsure how to respond.

Confessional:

"I know she's trying to get on my good side," Rory glares, before it melts to a small smile, "But darn it that did make me feel good,"

Confessional Ends:

Myron and Nadia swim towards the right of the ship. Myron then turns off everyone but himself, Nadia and Jake and says, "So… Nadia, Jake, how about we have an alliance meeting or something?"

Nadia also changes the settings on who she's talking to, saying, "To be honest, there isn't all that much for us to actually talk about, just, try not to throw the challenge, we still want to have the numbers advantage at the merge,"

"Yeah, pretty much," Jake adds in with a whisper, "We will have alliance meetings, but we're fine right now and don't need to discuss much,"

"Well, alright then," Myron sighs, putting everyone back on, "How's everyone doing right now?"

"Not all that well, we haven't found anything," Carol replies.

"Well, we still have a lot of time left, don't worry," Jake adds, "Good luck everyone,"

Myron and Nadia swim forward, managing to find more coins,

"Here we go!" Nadia says, smiling, "We've got coins!"

"Good job," Jake calls out as the scene swaps over to him and Carol, Jake smiles at the superhero before eyeing down to her communicator, Carol looks confused for a moment but realises Jake was telling her to mute the others.

"What's wrong?" Carol asks,

"I kind of just want to talk to you for a bit," The leader admits,

"Oh alright, what about?"

"Just checking in on you after yesterday, I wasn't all that helpful after the challenge yesterday, so I just want to see if you're doing alright.

"Oh alright," Carol replies, sighing before both of them stand near the cave. "I'm alright, I've gotten over what Susan's done, but I just don't want to talk to her, nothing personal, I just want to make sure I'm not played again."

"That's fair," Jake starts, "I can understand why you think that."

"Exactly…" After a pause, the comic reader looks up at the captain and says, "Hey, can you promise not to tell anyone what I'm about to tell you?"

"Sure, I promise,"

"Cool," The superhero starts, before she looks at the leader with a sad smile, "In all honesty, I'm not sure about the whole voting her off thing too, I'm upset about what she did, obviously, and if we lost yesterday, I'd have been fine voting her off, but today? I dunno, it just feels kind of… Cruel at this point. I have no idea who I would actually vote for though. It wouldn't be myself, that just feels like I'd be trying to quit the game, but everyone else is pretty nice to me… Well except Nadia, so maybe her." She then remembers who she's talking to causing her to look upwards and quickly say, "No offence, I know she's your friend."

"None taken, people can have different opinions on others, and I get she can be harsh on you sometimes."

Carol thinks before saying, "Would Chris let me just…? Not vote at elimination? Or would that count as a self-vote?"

"Not sure, I've never really thought of that," After a few moments of thought he continues, "Even when I voted myself, I didn't think of just, not voting."

Carol looks up at him with a shocked expression, "Wait you voted yourself? Why? When?"

Jake sighs, "Well the first challenge we lost, the underwater maze, I had the chance to grab that briefcase when it was in the middle, but I got distracted by something and I blew it. I honestly felt like I was both a bad leader and a screw up and I voted myself because of that, being back on Water Island is kind of… An interesting turn of events to say the least,"

"So, you voted yourself because of that?" Carol comments, curious. "Well, that explains why you were bottom three." She looks at him and admits, "I sort of see self-voting as… Quitting, but not even being brave enough to step up and say 'I quit'," She does air quotes at the end. "I'll say It's a different situation when you know you're out and vote yourself because you accept it, but voting yourself for no reason? That just feels wrong."

"I honestly did think I was done for," Jake admits, "I legitimately asked Nadia, Myron, Richard and Rory, to just vote me off, I thought they would have spread it around."

"Why not me too? I could have asked Susan," Carol asks, curious,

"Well, I didn't want to walk in on you when you were finishing your shower," Jake admits, eyebrow raised. Carol's eyes to go wide at this.

"Okay fair enough," she says quickly before a pause happens. Carol breaks the silence by saying, "We've gone really off-topic, haven't we?"

"Yeah, we have," Jake chuckles, Carol joins in. She looks over to Jake and says with a smile,

"So yeah, I'm back into the swing of things here, I just feel a bit… conflicted about everything."

"That's fair," Jake admits, "If you do want to do that whole conversation thing with Susan I can still set it up, just ask me."

"I'll keep that in mind," Carol smiles back.

Confessional:

"Y'know, I always wanted a little sister," Jake starts, "Carol kind of feels like that to me… That's probably why I'm more defensive of her in all honesty,"

"Jake feels like a big brother," Carol admits, "He's cool, lets me be weird and talks to me if anything's wrong." She shrugs, "I do have an older brother at home, but I get the feeling he gets a bit… Annoyed with me sometimes, so I try not to bother him all that much."

Confessional Ends:

Myron puts the coins they grabbed earlier in the chest as he and Nadia high five and jump back in the water.

Susan and Lauren swim along keeping their eyes open until Susan spots a piece of jewellery on the ocean floor. Lauren notices it at the same time, which leads to them both speeding downwards. Lauren grabs it first however Susan goes to snatch it.

"No fair, I grabbed it first," Lauren complains, attempting to pull it away

"I saw it first," Susan replies, trying to get it back.

More pulling happens before Susan yells out, "Okay, okay, stop!" Lauren pauses. "Let's not act like children, it could be fragile so we need to decide some less… Potentially damaging way of deciding,"

"Good point," Lauren admits before both girls put the treasure down. "How though? Rock, Paper, Scissors?"

"I mean sure, if you want," Susan shrugs,

"Okay then," both girls put their hands out. "Rock!" Lauren calls out,

"Paper!" Susan adds,

"Scissors!" Lauren says as both glare at each other.

A several second silence happens as both girls glare at each other…

"SHOOT!" Both yell. Lauren confidently puts rock out, smirking. However unfortunately for her, Susan chooses Paper. Susan looks at her with a massive smirk of her own.

"I win!" The brainiac yells, "Take that!"

"B-best two out of three!" Lauren says back,

"Nah," Susan replies, grabbing the treasure and swimming upwards. Lauren grumbles and follows behind her teammate.

Bob and Rory both grab more coins from the treasure chests, before they glare at each other. Rory nudges Bob which makes him drop a few coins, but not all of them.

Rory drops the coins that stay in his hands into his shirt, which Bob notices for the first time.

"Okay that's kind of smart," Bob mutters to himself. Rory then jumps back in as Bob sees Lauren and Susan surfacing.

Susan runs over and puts the jewellery into the Tigers chest. Lauren looks to see Bob's leftover coins and picks up a bunch, dropping them in her team's chest.

Bob turns around to see the end of what happened, causing him to stomp over angrily.

"Damn, Susan, why would you do that!?" Lauren asks,

"Really?" Susan adds, before turning to Bob and defensively yelling, "Wasn't me, it was ALLLLLL her."

"I saw you doing it," Bob points to Lauren before he pushes her into the water.

"Wagh!" Lauren yells as she's pushed in.

"If you don't have anything else, then get in the water with her," Bob says, pointing at Susan. The Brainiac quickly nods and starts to get back in, before she attempts to move to her right, getting back up with some of the coins Bob collected in her hands.

"Take away the intimidation, and you're ten times less threatening," this is quickly stopped when Bob picks Susan up by her arm with one hand and says,

"That was your only warning," before he drops her into the water.

Susan resurfaces, "Thaaaat, didn't work out," she grumbles.

"Wow, good job," Lauren snarks next to her.

"Shut up," Susan mutters, folding her arms.

Myron and Nadia then come back out of the water and drop some more coins they collected into the Tiger's chest, Bob watches on for a moment before putting the last of his coins in and diving back into the water.

Myron looks at how many coins and treasures in each chest, seeing the Tigers currently having more points. "Wow we're doing well," he comments, smiling.

"Don't say we're doing well outside like, the confessional," Nadia chastises, "You'll jinx us,"

"Maybe, maybe not," Myron replies shrugging. The two turn around and jump into the water, before noticing Lauren and Susan.

"Why are you two just watching us?" The Hot-Blooded questions, "Get back to the challenge." She turns around to see the clock at 33:56. "Look, we're nearly half done,"

"We just…" Susan starts before she cuts herself off, "Sure," the Brainiac, rolls her eyes before all four swim downwards.

The scene next changes to Xavier over in the cave, looking around for more coins. Instead, he finds what appears to be a crown.

"That's a weird crown lookin' thing," Xavier comments, before grabbing it, "Hopefully it's worth a lot of points." He then thinks before saying, "I may as well keep looking around I guess,"

Chris and Don stand around, before Chris says, "And so, our challenge has started! Which team will win? Who will go home next? And will Don here stop hounding me over nothing! Find out after the Break on TOTAL! DRAMA! ELEMENTAL ISLANDS!" Chris then looks up at Don glaring at him.

"Cameras are going off now aren't they?" Don asks,

"Yeah," The cameraman replies, "They're off, why?"

"Good," Don says before he opens his mouth and says, "You know what Chris?" before the scene fades to black.

End of Part 1:

Part 1 is completed! And we're a good way into the challenge. It came to my attention that the length of chapters could potentially be overwhelming, and I don't want this to be the case, so I'm testing out making this released across 2 chapters. Part 2 will either be posted at the same time, or tomorrow. Please, if you feel like taking a break, then do so, and if you want, tell me in reviews if you like this new setup. I will only post parts if the whole chapter is done, so don't worry about waiting an overly long time between the parts.

Don't have any specific notes about stuff in this chapter, that's all for part 2.

I did Beta Reading this time, so it's all my fault if you find grammatical errors.

One last thing. Thank you for reading part 1! I hope you enjoy part 2 when you read it.
