DILAN'S P.O.V.

Dilan gasped as Levi kissed down her neck, gripping his hair and panting hard. While their kiss started out sweet and gentle it soon grew desperate. So desperate Dilan's legs were currently wrapped around Levi's waist and she was being kissed against a tree. She hadn't been this breathless in her life and it felt fucking fantastic. Dilan didn't know how long she had been without adequate air, but she didn't give a shit. His touch was pure bliss and she wanted him as close to her as possible.

It felt different with Levi. It just felt... so right. This was probably the closest, the most vulnerable she had ever been with a man since what happened but she wasnt scared. She trusted him wholeheartedly. She knew, without a shred of doubt in mind, that Levi would never make her uncomfortable. He would never push her too far.

Besides, she pretty much provoked him to pick her up. One can only be pulled so close before having to do something about it. They were going to end up falling over. Dilan much preferred the position they were in now to that. The sap even stopped to ask if it was okay. While Dilan didn't technically reply, the way she kissed him did.

Anyone else and Dilan was sure she would be freaking out. But this was Levi and, as already established, Levi was different.

Finally, Dilan caught her breath enough to grab his face and put his lips back onto hers. Levi didn't seem to need air. His lips had been on her skin without break for the last 20 minutes.

Dilan kissed him eagerly, running her hands through his hair and down the back of his neck before scraping her nails up his undercut and Levi shivered. Dilan noticed and pulled back to give him a smirk. Levi rolled his eyes but smirked back anyway and kissed her again. She giggled into it, pulling him closer if that was possible. He sucked on her bottom lip and she moaned, her eyes widening in surprise.

Where the hell did that sound come from?!

Levi chuckled at her reaction and did it again, biting down on her lip lightly and Dilan gasped, the cheeky shit using it as an opportunity to slide his tongue into her mouth, deepening their kisses and Dilan's heart was pounding in the best way. She felt so hot and flustered she could barely take it.

"Levi..." She panted between kisses.

"Hm?" Levi hummed, moving back down to her neck again, he licked the exposed skin and lightly grazed his teeth. Dilan shuddered, biting back another moan and squirming at the pleasurable feeling. Her breathing was almost dangerous now. She really didn't want this to end but they couldn't go on forever.

"We should..." She swallowed, trying to regain some composure and find the will to put coherent sentences together. "We should... probably stop." She whispered and Levi pulled back immediately, barely concealed worry in his eyes.

"You alright?" He asked quickly. Dilan couldn't help the wide smile that came to her face, not sure she could take how amazing he was. She still couldn't believe this was happening. He was everything she wanted, and she couldn't stop herself from kissing him again.

"I'm fine." She reassured with a smile after pulling back. Levi smiled back and kissed the hand that was cupping his face. Her heart fluttered at the small affection. "It's only that... well... I'm against a fucking tree." She pointed out with a small chuckle, pushing down a blush. Her back was starting to hurt a bit. Levi rolled his eyes playfully but smiled anyway before picking her up again and lowering them both down so he was sitting with his back to the tree and Dilan was sitting in his lap.

"There." He smirked, kissing her again. Dilan laughed; her heart so completely full. She looked into those amazing grey eyes, stroking the side of his face. Levi looked back at her, his eyes full of the same affection she felt towards him. She wondered how she had never seen it before. How had she never realised? He was so fucking good to her; her heart could barely take it. She leant down, happy to put her lips back on his. He kissed her back and the pace slowed down again to sweet loving kisses instead of hot and heavy passionate ones.

Dilan pulled back after a while, leaning her forehead against his to catch her breath. She smiled and closed her eyes, so incredibly happy. She pressed one more kiss to his lips before leaning her head into the crook of his neck, sighing in content. Levi kissed the side of her head, wrapping his arms around her before lightly leaning the side of his head against hers. Dilan smiled, so pleased to be held by him. Pleased to be so close to him.

He made her feel so safe and warm.

There was a stretch of content silence with Levi occasionally smoothing his hand up and down her back and pressing soft kisses to her neck. They just held each other and dragged out the blissful moment as long as they could.

"Levi?" Dilan asked.

"Yes brat?" He replied and Dilan smiled. She had missed being 'brat' these past two weeks. She had missed everything about him.

"What happens now?" She asked, only slightly nervous to the answer. Yes, they loved each other but they hadn't discussed it further. Levi seemed to sense her nerves as he laced their hands together and gave hers a gentle squeeze of reassurance.

"Whatever you want. I know what I want but you can choose what happens next. I'll wait if you need time. You just got out of a relationship and I don't want to push you into this." Levi explained and Dilan smiled, her heart warming.

Thoughtful bastard.

She pulled back slightly to look him in the eye.

"I've waited long enough, and I think you probably have too. If you want to do this then I'm all in. I'm yours and you're mine, got that grumps?" She smirked. Levi smirked back.

"All in." He agreed, kissing her again. Dilan smiled into it, running her fingers through his hair. She pulled back when she thought of something.

"But I think we shouldn't tell the squad just yet. While Eld did tell me to go for it with you-" She informed, and Levi raised an eyebrow at that. "Yeah, I know. Crazy right?" She agreed, still in surprise, herself. "-I still think it would be a little cruel to parade around him." Dilan pointed out, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Levi smiled and nodded in understanding.

"If you want to wait, we will." He agreed, kissing down her neck. Dilan sighed softly, leaning into him and closing her eyes.

"I'll need to figure out how to tell Petra too. Ugh, that's going to be difficult." She mumbled. Levi pulled back to look at her with confusion.

"Why would she care?" He asked. Dilan smiled and rolled her eyes at his obliviousness.

"Levi, Petra is obsessed with you. She has been for a long time." She informed.

Levi's face dropped a bit.

"Really?" He asked. Dilan hesitated before nodding. "Shit." He muttered.

"What's wrong?" Dilan asked, stroking the black bangs out of his face. Levi sighed and leant into the touch.

"We kind of had a conversation a few weeks ago now. You know... after I punched Eld." Levi grumbled and Dilan smirked at the reminder.

"You were jealous." She teased and Levi glared at her.

"Of course, I was fucking jealous. Not the point here, brat." He mumbled, averting his eyes. Dilan smiled at the light blush on his cheeks, but she was feeling generous, so she didn't mention it.

"Sorry, go on." She refocused.

"Well... she asked how close we were and I kind of answered. The girl had the balls to tell me that I loved you and I didn't deny it. I was mostly tired of hiding it, but I was partly in shock that she had figured it out." Levi pointed out and Dilan was pretty shocked too. But Petra had always been pretty good at reading him. "Yeah well then she looked pretty fucking depressed. Now I know why." Levi mumbled. Dilan sighed, stroking the side of his face.

"It's shitty but we can't do much about it. I think if I explain it to her then she'll understand." Dilan suggested. Levi smiled and nodded in agreement.

"I'm sure she will." He comforted. Dilan smiled, kissing him again.

They stayed like that for as long as they could. But the chill was starting to get to them, and Levi's body heat wasn't enough anymore. Thunder was rumbling above them and unfortunately, it was time to go home.

They stood up, grabbed the bottle of whisky that they had barely begun and started walking. Dilan smiled as Levi laced his hand with hers and squeezed it back.

Then she pouted. It wasn't enough.

"Levi." She frowned. Levi looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "You're too far away." She complained seriously. Levi blinked at her for a second before cracking a wide smirk. He pulled her closer and captured her lips. Dilan smiled in content, kissing him back, satisfied. They barely made it five seconds before stopping again. It may take them all night to get back.

Levi seemed to gather this was the case as well.

He pulled back and Dilan frowned subconsciously, feeling like a right clingy bitch but she didn't give a shit. Levi chuckled and crouched down.

"Get on then, idiot." He offered. Dilan's eyes widened.

"Wait-really?!" She asked in delight. Levi rolled his eyes but smiled and nodded anyway. Dilan laughed and climbed on, wrapping her arms around his neck. Levi stood up straight again, holding her by the back of her thighs to balance them and Dilan smiled, gently moving his chin so she could kiss him again gratefully before leaning her head on his shoulder and sighing in content.

This was much better.

"Happy, brat?" Levi teased. Dilan hummed, kissing his neck.

"Very." She replied honestly and Levi chuckled as they started moving again. "Can I ask you a question?" Dilan asked, stroking through his hair in a way that she was pretty sure Levi loved, especially from the relaxed expression on his face.

"As long as it's not stupid." He quipped with a smirk. Dilan rolled her eyes, tugging sharply on his hair as payback. "Oi, dumb brat." He glared. Dilan smirked at him before combing through his hair again.

"You love me, right?" She asked. Levi gave her a look.

"I think that's obvious." He replied and Dilan chuckled, her heart warming. Still that wasn't her intended question.

"So how long have you loved me?" She wondered. Levi hesitated.

"A long time." He admitted. Dilan's eyes widened a fraction. Was it as long as she loved him?

"How long?" She asked. Levi looked away, clearly embarrassed.

"I... don't want to say." He huffed. Dilan giggled, amused by this side of him.

"Come on, Levi! Please! I'll tell you mine." She offered. Levi scoffed.

"I'm pretty sure I'm the guaranteed winner if we're talking about length here." He mumbled. Dilan smiled, kissing the side of his face.

"Please." She whispered. Levi sighed, giving in.

"7 years." He admitted and Dilan's jaw fell open.

"SEVEN YEARS!" She exclaimed. Levi frowned at her surprise.

"I told you it was a long time, brat. No need to shout it to the world." He grumbled. Dilan blinked in astonishment. She struggled to stay away from him for 1 year. She couldn't imagine being in that agony for 7.

"When?" She choked out, still in shock. Levi sighed.

"After the squad died, after you came back to me. Things changed and I couldn't deny what I felt for you." He explained, still looking embarrassed. Dilan's face softened from her shock and she cracked a smiled, continuing to stroke through his hair for reassurance and Levi released a breath, letting go of some tension and relaxing again. While it was surprising the confession also made her heart warm. She couldn't believe he had loved her for that long.

"Why didn't you ever tell me?" She asked softly. Levi sighed.

"At the beginning, it was clear you didn't see me that way." Levi started and Dilan's eyes saddened because he was right and that must have been horrible for him. She did love him, but she was still getting over a lot of shit and her brain didn't allow herself to process anyone in that way. "Then... Erwin found out." He informed and Dilan furrowed her brows in confusion.

How would Erwin find out such a thing?

Then it came to her. Those six months after Levi told her about Farlan, he and Hanji were not in a good place. Hanji must have known and said something to Erwin. That's why Levi was so pissed at her. Dilan could understand his anger now. Of all the people to let in on the secret, that blonde bastard was the absolute worst.

"Hanji let it slip..." She got there and Levi nodded. Dilan could only imagine the horrible things Erwin said to him. Dilan hugged him a little tighter to comfort him and Levi relaxed a bit.

"Erwin forbid me from telling you how I felt or starting a relationship with you, along with not telling you about Far in return for the letter and the photo. But honestly that's not what kept me back. I just... I didn't think you would feel the same and I didn't want to lose you." Levi admitted and Dilan smiled sadly in understanding.

"Well I don't know what would've happened if you told me back then. But I know you never would have lost me. You will never lose me, Levi." She comforted, leaning into him. Levi smiled.

"Likewise, brat." He agreed and Dilan smiled happily. "So how long have you loved me then, huh?" He asked and Dilan's cheeks immediately heated up. She forgot the question could be flipped. Levi tilted his head to glance at her and smirked at her reaction. "Come on, surely it's not as embarrassing as mine." He scoffed. Dilan rolled her eyes.

"Yours isn't embarrassing. It's sweet." She smiled, kissing his cheek. Levi blushed again, frowning as Dilan laughed.

"Shut up." He grumbled. Dilan smiled, amused.

"I let myself admit it a year ago, but I know I felt that way longer. I've looked at you differently ever since the night you kissed me at that party but even before then, I felt things for you that friends shouldn't, I just didn't allow myself to process it." She admitted. Levi looked regretful.

"I wish I could go back to that party, give you that yes." He mumbled. Dilan smiled, pressing a kiss to his neck for reassurance.

"Honestly, it was probably good you didn't." She pointed out and Levi glanced at her in surprise, so she elaborated. "Think about it. We would have got like what... 10 minutes together before being shipped off to the wall. Right now, I don't want you more than 2 meters away from me, I wouldn't have been able to cope 3 years apart." She explained and Levi chuckled.

"You make a good point, brat. I still wish I told you sooner." He frowned slightly. Dilan smiled, leaning into his neck and closing her eyes.

"Don't think about what could've or should've happened. We're here now and we have each other. That's all that matters." She comforted. Levi smiled, taking her hand that was resting loosely over his chest and pressing it to his lips in a silent agreement before holding her securely again. Dilan smiled, her heart-warming considerably. She hadn't been this happy in a long time.

LEVI'S P.O.V.

They got back to base a little after the rain started. Thanks to the stupid brat they were properly soaked as she decided in that moment, she wanted him to kiss her against the wall of the castle and Levi was in too great of a mood to object. But eventually he found the willpower to pull away from her, grabbing her hand and getting them back inside before they both caught hypothermia.

But even then, he couldn't resist from kissing her in the hallway. And, again, Dilan didn't protest. He still couldn't believe this was finally happening. 7 fucking years and he finally got what he wanted, what he craved. And Levi could say with absolute certainty that he wasn't disappointed in the slightest. To hold her, to kiss her, to be with her in this way... it was everything he ever wanted. She was everything he ever wanted, and he didn't plan on ever letting her go again.

He hoped Dilan felt the same.

Levi pulled back with much effort, letting them catch their breaths.

"Any objection to sleeping in my room tonight?" He asked and Dilan smiled, shaking her head quickly. "Good." He smiled back and kissed her again before grabbing her hand and leading them through the hallways. Being out in the open sure had its thrill but he was eager to get her alone again.

Dilan laughed quietly at his enthusiasm, quickening her pace too. They were about to walk past the dining room and Levi's eyes widened seeing Hanji sitting in there making herself a pot of tea. He grabbed Dilan around the waist and pulled her back to him before the crazy woman noticed, pointing her out. Dilan's eyes widened in realisation and she cursed quietly.

She looked up at him.

"Maybe we should just tell her." Dilan suggested in a whisper.

"I love titans, yes I do. Do da, do da. I love titans, yes I do, do, do da day!" Hanji sung to herself before snickering quietly. Levi gave Dilan a deadpan look and the brat had to push her face into his shoulder to stop from outright laughing. Levi smiled and had to will himself not to make any noise either.

"One, as just shown, she's fricking insane and we'll be answering insanely personal questions for the next 5 hours. Two, she'll scream the castle down and everyone will find out immediately." Levi pointed out quietly. Dilan composed herself from her silent shaky laughter to pull back.

"Fine. Well how the fuck are we supposed to get around her then?" Dilan whispered. Levi thought for a second before coming up with a plan.

"When I give you the chance, go." He said vaguely and Dilan blinked at him in confusion. He smirked, pressed a kiss to her lips before rounding the corner and wiping the smile off of his face with a whole lot of effort. "Shitty glasses what are you doing up?" Levi asked and Hanji jumped.

"Oh! Hey Levi- why are you so wet?" She asked, scrunching up her face in confusion. Levi looked down at himself.

"Went for a walk, got caught in the storm." He shrugged. "Why are you up?" He repeated. Hanji sighed.

"I couldn't sleep." She pouted. Levi rolled his eyes, walking further in and round the other side so Hanji could focus on him for a second.

"Why?" He asked, crossing his arms. Dilan poked her head around the corner, and he nodded subtly for her to go. There was a flash of movement and they were in the clear.

"Well I just... I miss Sonny and Bean." She sniffed. Levi blinked at her.

"The titans?" He asked in exasperation. Sonny and Bean were Hanji's newest titan specimens that they had captured after the recent expedition.

Hanji sniffed again.

"Yeah." She frowned. Levi hesitated before slowly moving away.

"Well... good luck with that." He replied before heading around the corner.

"Levi!" She whined and Dilan laughed as he caught up to her.

"Levi that was so mean." Dilan scolded. Levi rolled his eyes, crouching down. "What are you doing-" Dilan asked but Levi picked her up over his shoulder and she was cut off by a small squeak of surprise. Levi smirked and started moving up the stairs, his heart warming at the sounds of her quiet laughs.

"Asshole!" She hissed. Levi ignored her, checking the coast was clear before going into the hallway and opening his door, taking them both inside, and closing the door behind them with a deep sigh of relief.

It was dark in his room due to the evening, only a flickering oil lamp in the corner lighting the space. His room was standard, like everyone else's with a double bed, wardrobe and window except for the fact it was slightly bigger, he had a desk to work on and his own private bathroom.

He put Dilan down and she glared at him before cracking a smile and kissing him again. Levi wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer until she was flushed up against him. The sounds of water dripping onto stone brought him out of it and he realised they were both thoroughly soaked. He pulled back, stroking some damp hair behind her ear.

"Grab a change of clothes and meet me back here." He suggested, quietly. The walls were pretty thick, but they couldn't be too loud or there's a chance people would hear. Dilan hummed, smiling and shaking her head. Levi raised an eyebrow at her. "Brat your drenched." He informed.

"Yup." She grinned. Levi narrowed his eyes at her.

"You aren't sleeping in my bed in that state." He warned. Dilan smirked, hanging around his neck.

"So, let me use some of yours, I have before." She pointed out, giving him a teasing look. Levi cracked a smile, giving in. Truth was he didn't want her out of his sight for a second either.

"Good point." He reluctantly let go over her to move over to his wardrobe and pull out some clothes. He passed them to Dilan and opened the bathroom door. "You can change in there." He offered, knowing she was likely to want to take this slow physically. She wouldn't want him to see her naked yet or perhaps at all and he wanted to make it clear from the beginning that he was okay with that. Dilan smiled gratefully, pulling him down by his damp collar to kiss him and Levi forgot all about the water for a second before Dilan pulled back and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her.

Levi smiled after her, sighing in content.

It was finally off his chest. He hadn't felt this free in a long time. The most important person in his life finally knew all his secrets. He promised himself right there never to hide anything from her ever again.

He quickly changed into a pair of joggers and a tank top and threw his waterlogged clothes in the washing basket in the corner of the room. He raked a hand through his dripping black locks and grimaced, sitting down on the edge of the bed and waiting for the brat to come out. She did so a few seconds later, walking over to the corner of the room to put her clothes in the washing basket too.

Levi saw she also had two small towels under her arm. She threw one over to him before starting to dry her hair and he smiled at her independence before doing the same. She was everything he wanted.

"Come here." He asked after their hair was as dry as it was going to get and Dilan smiled, walking over to stand in-between his legs, draping her arms over his shoulders and stroking the back of his neck. Levi sighed in content, happy with the attention, he looked at what she was wearing and how baggy it looked on her and a smirk played on his lips.

Fucking adorable brat.

"What?" Dilan smiled. Levi looked up into her eyes and smiled back easily.

"Nothing. I'm just happy." He said honestly. Dilan blushed and bit her lip to stop from smiling too wide. Levi chuckled at her reaction and stood up, gently tugging on her hand to get her to move. They both climbed into the bed and got under the covers, Dilan made sure there was no room left between them, cuddling up to his side, entangling their legs. Levi smiled and wrapped an arm around her as she draped an arm over his waist, leaning her head on his chest. Levi had to swallow down a sudden lump of emotion. How long had it been since he held her like this? Too long.

There was a moment of contented silence before Dilan spoke up.

"I'm sorry about what happened with Eld." Dilan whispered, emotion in her voice. Levi's eyes widened a bit.

"Dil don't-"

"No, I hurt you. I hurt you so much you had to push me away." Dilan said shakily, a tear dripping down her face. Levi turned to face her and got further into the covers, so they were eyelevel. He wiped the tear off her face and stroked her cheek.

"Listen to me, okay brat?" He soothed and Dilan sniffed but nodded. "You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't know how I felt, you were just trying to set some boundaries and you had a right to do that. Yes, it hurt but that's just because I am painfully in love with you." He smiled and Dilan cracked a smile back. "The truth is I wasn't mad at you and I understood why you needed to do that. I pushed you away because I didn't think I could stay away from you anymore and I didn't want to upset you or get in the way of your relationship. Regardless of how I felt, it was wrong for me to push you away and I regretted it the moment I did it. These past two weeks have been hell, brat." He frowned and Dilan laughed softly, brushing some hair out of his face, looking relieved that he wasn't mad at her.

"I missed you. How have you been?" She asked. Levi sighed in content, closing his eyes and relaxing at the touch.

"Not great. I got a collective three hours this past week. But that was a luxury compared to the week before." Levi admitted and Dilan froze. He opened his eyes and she was looking at him with deep concern.

"Shit, Levi. Go to sleep!" She blurted out in a panic. Levi chuckled, rolling his eyes.

"You know it doesn't work like that. Besides, I want to talk to you more." He shrugged. Dilan gave him a look and she was clearly not going to have any of that.

"Us talking is not a fucking priority right now. You're going to get ill, Levi." She looked at him with worry. Levi scoffed.

"I feel fine-"

"Really?" She pursed her lips, her eyes daring him to lie to her. Levi sighed.

"Okay I feel like shit but I'm past tiredness. I've tried Dil, my brain won't shut down." He sighed, rubbing his face. Dilan took a breath to calm herself down.

"Okay well... relax and try again." She suggested. Levi opened his mouth to protest but Dilan spoke again. "Please, for me. We can talk more in the morning." She begged quietly, clearly worried. Levi looked into her eyes and nodded, giving in. He didn't know if he would ever be able to deny her anything again. She smiled in approval as Levi settled down into the pillow and closed his eyes.

He took a breath and waited.

Nothing.

He had never been this fucking awake and exhausted at the same time in his life.

Levi felt lips press to his and opened his eyes, pulling back only slightly to smirk.

"I thought I was going to sleep?" He teased. Did she get that bored already? He wasn't complaining.

Dilan rolled her eyes and kissed him again.

"You are. Just relax, let it happen naturally, don't force it." Dilan whispered against his lips, kissing him again in a slow way that knocked the breath out of him. Levi kissed her back and pulled her body closer to his. She ran her fingers through his hair gently and Levi felt the tension start to drip out of him as she continued to kiss him stroking his cheek, moving down his neck and smoothing her hand up the back of his undercut, lightly scratching her nails against his scalp and he practically melted into her.

Dilan smirked a bit into the kiss, but Levi paid no attention. He was distracted by her hands on his body and her lips on his.

Dilan broke the kiss to give them air, moving her attention to his neck and Levi breathed out as she pressed gentle kisses to his neck, smoothing her hands down slightly past his collar bone and up again, stroking through his hair once more. Levi felt his eyelids growing heavy and he had to wonder if this brat was some kind of miracle worker.

"Close your eyes." She soothed and Levi had no intention of resisting. He used his last remaining drop of energy to pull her close, pressing his head into her shoulder and breathing her in. Dilan held him to her, continuing to stroke his hair as he faded from consciousness. "Go to sleep." She whispered comfortingly, giving him that last push to let go. Levi smiled into her skin.

"I love you, brat." He mumbled tiredly. Dilan hugged him a bit tighter.

"I love you too."

DILAN'S P.O.V.

Dilan woke up pretty early, scrunching up her face in confusion. This wasn't her room? Where was she? Why was she so warm?

Refocusing around she realised she was currently in Levi's arms and she remembered everything, a wide smile spread across her face as her heart warmed with happiness. It had finally happened. She finally had him. She had everything she wanted.

Levi sighed softly, still sleeping peacefully with his head resting into her shoulder. She smiled, relaxing into him, gently stroking through his hair. She was pleased he had managed to go to sleep relatively easy. When she told him how little he had slept in the last week her heart practically jumped in panic. Dilan was worried about him when he got three hours a night, let alone three a week. Which is why she was so relieved when he gave in and let go. She stayed up for a bit after, making sure his sleep was peaceful before giving in herself.

Dilan glanced out the window, seeing they probably had an hour or two before they would have to get up. Dilan had no intention of waking him up before absolutely necessary. Even after sleeping through the night they went to bed pretty late. He had only had 5 hours. Dilan wanted him to regain all the energy he had lost. Hopefully his body would keep him asleep until it was ready to wake again.

The stubborn bastard needs to leave his brain out of this one for once.

Levi pulled her closer subconsciously, resting his chin over the curve of her shoulder and Dilan smiled, loving how adorable he was being. She always knew Levi was a softy deep down but who knew Humanities Strongest was so into cuddling. Dilan sniggered silently at the thought, stroking the back of his neck gently pleased with the soft hum she got in response as she glanced around the room, eyes narrowing at the large stack of paperwork resting on top of his desk.

She frowned.

That looked like it was going to take a while. What's more it looked like it was going to exhaust him. She wanted him to feel as well rested and unstressed out as possible by the end of the day so sleep would come easier. If she worked fast, she might be able to get half of it done before they had to get up.

Dilan held her breath as she slowly untangled her legs from his, trying to gently pull herself away. The movement brought out a small displeased frown on Levi's sleepy face. Dilan's heart practically broke at his cuteness and she didn't have the will power to pull away, relaxing back into him and stroking the side of his face until the small distress went away and the contented expression was back. Dilan sighed in relief, hugging him gently and stroking his back.

She shook her head at herself for being a weak fuck. She needed to be strong and not break so easily.

Dilan hesitated, supressing a whine of annoyance. The last thing she wanted to do right now was leave his arms and step out into the cold morning air. Still, she had to remind herself that she was doing this for him to make his day easier. Dilan sighed, letting herself have one more minute of peace in his warmth before untangling herself from his limbs and pulling away.

Levi's frown was immediate, and Dilan's heart lurched, but she remained strong, carefully replacing herself with a pillow that he could hug. Levi took the substitute with little trouble and Dilan couldn't get over how adorable he was being. She stroked through his hair until the frown went away and pulled the covers up over his shoulders before silently stepping off the bed and sighing in relief.

Levi stayed peacefully asleep.

She smiled at him and allowed herself a moment to drown in her happiness before refocusing.

Work needed to be done.

Tying up her hair, Dilan tip toed over to the desk and took a seat, craning her neck to the read top sheet of the large stack she went over it, deducing that these forms weren't hard, but they did take a long time and they were very taxing on patience. She took a breath, grabbed a quill and a small stack to start and begun the torturous task.

2 hours later and Dilan had managed about 1/4 of the forms. They weren't bad results, but they weren't the results she wanted. Dilan glanced over to Levi who was still asleep. Clearly his body wasn't ready to wake him up yet and Dilan was in agreement.

She bit her lip in thought, looking at him before deciding he could use a break today. There was nothing specific on the agenda, just training. Dilan could handle Eren and training today and if she was lucky, finish the forms before nightfall. Dilan nodded in decision, grabbing the rest of the forms and shoving them in a satchel. She silently walked over to the door, perks of being an ex-assassin, they tread light, and slowly turned the doorknob. Glancing over to Levi, she sighed in relief and opened the door, stepping back out and closing it behind her.

Mission success.

She checked the hallways were clear before heading to her room quickly before anyone saw. She was in rather questionable clothing. Dilan got into her room and sighed. Then she frowned. As much as Levi needed this, she missed him.

This sucked. She wanted to go back to bed.

She shook the thoughts from her head, knowing that wasn't a possibility and got dressed into her uniform, folding Levi's clothes and putting them under her pillow. She didn't want anyone else to see them.

Grabbing the satchel full of paperwork, she got down into the dining hall where everyone was already eating, setting her bag down by the side of her chair and taking a seat. She looked at Eld and he gave a small smile. She smiled back, glad it wasn't too awkward and grabbed some toast.

From the tension around table, the squad knew about the breakup too. Well... most of the squad.

"Um... is everything okay?" Eren asked, confused. Dilan smiled to reassure him, patting the boy on the head.

"Yeah, kid. It's fine." She assured. Eren offered a smile back and re-directed his attention to his food.

"Are we sure it's fine?" Petra asked carefully. Eld chuckled.

"Guys, it's fine. We're staying friends." Eld explained and Dilan nodded in agreement. The others looked at them in confusion.

"Okay..." Gunther replied slowly. "Oh, by the way, the section commander left early this morning for a meeting. Her squad went with her, she'll be back by nightfall." Gunther informed.

Dilan nodded in understanding.

"Alright. Well, the Captain's loaded with paperwork today so I'll be taking over training. Cool?" She asked and the others nodded.

"You're training us?!" Eren asked excitedly and Dilan chuckled, nodding.

"Yeah, don't get too excited kid, she's brutal." Gunther teased with a smirk. Dilan rolled her eyes.

"I'm efficient." She smirked back.

"Efficient at making us lose the will to live maybe." Gunther shot back and Dilan glared at him, grabbing his buttered toast and replacing it with her plain one, giving him an evil smile before taking a bite.

"Dude!" Gunther exclaimed. The group laughed.

"So... is this like a break or are you two officially over?" Oluo asked unsensitively and Petra's eyes widened as both Eld and Dilan shared an awkward look.

"OLUO!" She scolded, grabbing his ear and tugging hard.

Oluo winced.

"Ow! Let go, it was just a question!" He hissed. Dilan choked back a laugh. The idiot never changes.

"It's over, Oluo." Eld answered in an accepting tone. Dilan was glad he was doing okay with it.

"Okay! There! It wasn't a hard question." Oluo frowned at Petra, pushing her hand away. There was a moment of silence before Oluo spoke again.

"So how long before I can make my move?" Oluo whispered to Eld poorly and everyone heard him clear as day.

Dilan snorted in amusement and Eld rolled his eyes. The others were not as forgiving as the ex-couple.

"Seriously!" Gunther hissed, shoving him. Oluo frowned and shoved him back.

"What is wrong with you!?" Oluo hissed back.

"What is wrong with you!? They just broke up!" Petra snapped, shoving Oluo back over to Gunther.

Eren blinked in disbelief and Dilan smiled, as amusing as this was, she had to stop them.

"Guys, enough. Or I'll get involved." She warned and the three tensed, sitting up straight and offering her apologetic looks. She cracked a smile and rolled her eyes. "Finish your breakfast and meet me outside in 5. Eren, come on. We're going to start your first training session." She said decisively and Eren's eyes lit up again.

"Yes ma'am!" He replied, shoving the rest of his food into his mouth quickly before scrambling out the door after her. "You seem happy today, Major?" Eren commented as they walked out into the open. Dilan smiled. She couldn't deny there was a spring in her step today. She felt so light. Free.

"Hm. Perhaps I am." She grinned and Eren chuckled. "How was your night with the devil?" She smirked evilly, amused as Eren paled, pausing in his steps to look at her with distant eyes.

"She took my bed, Dil. She took my bed and I couldn't do anything about it! I was so damn powerless!" He ranted in frustration. Dilan suppressed a laugh imagining Eren cowering in the corner of the cell while the chicken sat on his bed glaring at him.

She put an arm around his shoulder and they started walking again.

"The worst is over now, kid. Take a breath." She comforted, knowing even though it was funny, she couldn't imagine spending an entire night trapped in a cell with that devil bird. Even the thought sent a shiver down her spine.

Eren took a breath and calmed down.

"Yeah, you're right." He replied. Dilan pursed her lips as they reached their destination.

"It is over right? Did you get the fucking key back?" She asked. Eren chuckled pulling the key out from behind his t-shirt.

"Yeah. She crapped all over my bed but I got it back." Eren muttered, glaring at the thing. Dilan grimaced slightly and Eren noticed. "Don't worry. I washed it plenty times." He assured, tucking the key away again.

Dilan nodded in approval before refocusing.

"First go I'll give you a free run. I can block but I won't be fighting back." Dilan offered, leaning forward slightly. "Show me what you've got, kid." Dilan smirked.

Eren looked reluctant.

"You're sure I won't hurt you?" He asked hesitantly.

Dilan smirked, rolling her eyes.

"You're sweet but no, you won't hurt me." She reassured and Eren blushed, realising his question was rather ridiculous, but smiled and nodded in understanding. "Give me everything you've got, Eren." She said in a determined tone, eyes flashing.

Eren nodded, his face growing serious he got in his stance, that was poor, but Dilan was going to deal with that later.

Then he ran at her.

...five seconds Eren was on the ground, groaning.

"You said you weren't going to fight back!" He whined, trying to pull up his sore limbs. Dilan cackled, walking over to the bench and taking a seat.

"Would you have tried harder if I did?" She asked thoughtfully. Eren managed to sit up, looking at her.

"I... don't know..." He admitted. Dilan looked at him.

"Always give it your all Eren, no matter what. There's no room in this world for people who hold back. That's the first thing I want to teach you and something you should remember, always." She said seriously.

Eren's eyes widened, the green irises burning with determination.

"Understood." He replied seriously, standing. Dilan nodded in approval.

"You need to build up your stamina before being able to land a heavy punch. You're a fucking twig. Start on some laps. I need some muscle before I work on your technique, cool?" She asked.

Eren nodded and started running around the castle as the others came out, looking for orders.

"I got some paperwork to do. Spar and take turns using the defensive stance. I'll be here if you need help." Dilan explained and they smiled and nodded, walking over to the posts and pairing up. Dilan pulled out a stack and frowned.

How does Levi do it?

LEVI'S P.O.V.

Levi sighed as he cracked open his eyes. Blinking a few times, he tried to focus his foggy head. He felt tired and simultaneously the most rested he had been in a long time. Levi sat up a bit, observing the darkness in the room. The curtains were closed but it was clearly dark outside from the lack of light. Had he only been asleep for a few hours? If he had, why did he feel so well rested?

And more importantly, where was the brat?

Levi frowned in confusion, rubbing his face. Was it all a dream? Did he even confess? Was it just an exhaustion induced hallucination?

Levi's eyes widened in panic at the troubling thought and he looked around the room for signs to the contrary, not finding anything at first but then he saw his papers were gone.

What the fuck? What was going on?

The sound of the door opening had Levi looking at the door as the brat came through. He sighed in relief that it wasn't a hallucination. She was dressed in a long white shirt that reached her knees with nothing on her legs. Her hair was down, and she looked beautiful as always, but it was odd that she was walking around in an indecent outfit like that.

Again, he was questioning what the time was. Levi noticed she was carrying a large stack of paperwork. He watched with confusion as she closed the door quietly and silently walked over to the desk, putting the papers down with a soft sigh of relief, raking a hand through her hair.

"Brat?" Levi asked in confusion.

What was she doing?

Dilan flinched and swivelled round, looking at him in surprise before a wide smile filled her face and she was quick to get on the bed, straddling him before he could say anything else and press her lips to his. Levi was still confused but quickly got distracted and kissed her back, pulling her closer to him. Dilan smiled into it, stroking her hands down either side of his neck before pulling back and smiling at him.

"You're awake." She grinned. Levi narrowed his eyes, feeling like he was missing something.

"No shit, brat. What are you doing with my paperwork at this time of the morning?" He asked, sceptical. Dilan smiled and rolled her eyes.

"It's not the morning. It's the middle of the night and I just finished." She shrugged, brushing some hair out of his face. Levi frowned. They went to sleep in the middle of the night.

Had he only been asleep for a few minutes?

"Did you not go to sleep?" He asked, confused. Dilan chuckled.

"I slept. You slept more." She smirked. Levi gave her a deadpan look.

"Okay, what the fuck is going on?" He asked. Dilan snickered, looking oddly triumphant.

"Levi, you slept 24 hours. It's the next day." She informed.

Levi blinked at her.

Then he blinked again.

"What?" He asked. Dilan smiled.

"You didn't wake up, so I didn't wake you up. I told the squad you had work and not to disturb you and took care of training and just finished your paperwork. Your body clearly needed it, you slept through three meals." She chuckled. Levi stared at her in astonishment.

He slept through the whole day and night?!

"You're saying... I slept through the first entire day of our relationship?" He asked slowly. Dilan chuckled.

"Yep. Don't worry, I forgive you. Just buy me a new dagger or something." She teased. Levi took another second to look at her in disbelief before processing everything she had done for him and cracked a wide smile.

"Idiot." He laughed, pulling her closer and kissing her again. She was amazing. No one had ever done something so thoughtful for him before.

Dilan kissed him back, pushing his chest so they were both slowly lowered, Levi's head hitting the pillow. Their lips didn't part for a second. He enjoyed the new position for a moment, pleased with her body on his before switching their positions so Dilan's back was pressed into the mattress and Levi was hovering over her. He smirked at her surprised face and she laughed, pulling him down to her again. Levi kissed her lips for a moment before moving down, kissing along her jawline and down her neck. Dilan sighed softly at the attention as Levi continued to press light kisses to her skin. He moved her shirt slightly, exposing her collarbone, kissing a few random spots until he found a particular area that made Dilan shiver.

He bit down lightly, and Dilan gasped in surprise, her hands flying up to grip his hair. He smiled at the positive reaction, glancing at her face to make sure she was okay before continuing to lick and suck the mark, making her pant harder and letting out a few muffled moans until he was sure a rather impressive hickey bloomed. He pulled back slightly to admire his good word and smirked in approval.

He looked at Dilan, seeing she had thrown her head back, still panting heavily. He brought himself back up to her lips and Dilan was eager to kiss him back, pulling him closer.

Levi realised he was getting too aroused and hesitated before pulling back. While he wanted to go further, he knew Dilan wasn't ready for that.

He smiled at her and Dilan smiled back. Levi kissed her again but pulled back before it got too heated and laid back down on the mattress, trying to even his breathing. Dilan did the same and cuddled up to his side. Levi wrapped his arm around her and kissed the side of her head.

There was a moment of comfortable silence while they collected themselves before Dilan looked down at her collar bone and gasped.

"Levi!" She said in surprise and Levi smirked as she sat up and shoved his shoulder, getting a better look. "What if people see?" She whined. Levi smiled and sat up to kiss the mark and then her.

"They won't. That's just for me to see, okay brat?" He smirked. Dilan blushed and frowned at him before she was unable to keep up with her angered façade and cracked a smile back.

"Asshole." She mumbled as they laid back down and Levi laughed. Dilan rolled over, leaning up on his chest to look at him. "How do you feel?" She asked. Levi smiled and ran his fingers through her long black hair. He felt revitalised and it was all because of this amazing meddlesome brat.

"I feel great. Thanks, brat." He said genuinely. Dilan smiled in relief, leaning her chin on her crossed arms and closing her eyes, happy with the attention as Levi continued to stroke her hair.

"Could you promise me something?" Dilan asked. Levi looked at her, nodding. "From now on we lean on each other. I need you to tell me when you need me. No more hiding things from each other. If you're having trouble sleeping or eating or anything, I need you to tell me. Complete honesty, that's the only way this is going to work." She said seriously. Levi smiled, his heart warming. He agreed. The only way this was going to work was if they were completely honest with each other.

There had been enough secrets.

"I'll promise if you do. You need to lean on me as well." He offered. Dilan smiled and nodded.

"I promise." She agreed. Levi stroked some hair behind her ear, his heart so completely full.

"I promise too." He replied. Dilan sighed in relief, leaning her head down over his heart and closing her eyes. Levi smiled and continued stroking through her hair.

"Hey Levi? Dilan asked tiredly.

"Hm?" He asked, feeling a spell of tiredness start to come over him as well. The brat made him so at ease.

"Would Erwin do something if he found out? Are we allowed to be together?" Dilan asked curiously. Levi hummed. That was a difficult question. It had been one of the things that held him back for a long time, but he didn't give a shit anymore.

"That's a complicated one. Technically, I'm not supposed to be with a subordinate. Erwin added that rule to the corps guidelines a while ago." He answered and Dilan tensed a bit. He was quick to continue. "But a bit after that Erwin told me that it was my decision to be with you and that I had to make the choice myself." Levi added and Dilan's eyes widened at that.

"Wow. Who knew the blonde bastard had it in him." She commented. Levi chuckled and nodded his agreement.

"Exactly. I'm still not sure if he was genuine or not. He spat some bullshit about humanity needing me and it kind of got in my head. It's completely possible he played me again so I have no clue if he would actually do anything about us. But you are a Major, meaning you aren't directly under my command even if you're staying in the squad." He pointed out.

Dilan lifted her head to smirk at him.

"Are you saying we found a loophole?" She asked with a smug expression. Levi smirked back.

"I think so." He replied. Dilan laughed and kissed him before getting comfortable again. "Still, I think we should refrain from telling him, just incase he tries something. I don't understand that man. He seems to think the less connected we are the more my allegiance will lie with the corps. While in reality my loyalties been with you ever since we rescued you from the underground." Levi admitted.

Dilan looked at him with slight surprise.

"Didn't you still hate me back then?" She asked. Levi smiled.

"Partly. But it didn't matter. There was something about you... something that I couldn't keep myself away from. You'll always have me. My loyalty, my life, my heart. I'll give you everything I have." Levi admitted, softly, mesmerised by her beauty. Dilan's eyes teared up a bit and she kissed him gently.

"You have me too. Everything I am. I'm yours, always." She whispered with a smile, staring into his eyes. Levi smiled back, stroking a tear off her cheek.

"Always." He whispered before kissing her again. He knew right then at that moment; he had never been happier.

The pair stayed up talking into the night before falling asleep in the other's arms.

A/N: You don't know how long I have waited to write Dilvi fluff. They are almost too cute.

Some of you might be thinking that they've taken quite a big jump with intimacy already and I thought about starting them slow but I really couldn't see them being any less affectionate than this. They've always been quite touchy friends.

Besides they are both pent up with emotions that they've been repressing for a long time. Simple touches every now and then are not going to suffice their needs. They need hand holding, kisses and a whole lot of cute gestures. And of course, while Dilan feels different with Levi considering she is actually into the affection when it comes to him, he will be checking to make sure she's fine along the way. Levi knows her well and he knows not to go too fast.

That doesn't mean he couldn't resist making her squirm a bit, lol. Dilan's never experienced any of these emotions before, especially arousal, even if it's minor so far.

But we aren't there yet. While she's comfortable with affection, Dilan isn't ready for sex right now. But who says that won't change in perhaps a few more chapters though? (No promises).

Hope I did you proud with the fluff! I'm so glad everyone liked the last chapter. Thank you for reading and reviewing! I love hearing from you! Stay safe! X
