Marry For Love
Chapter 10 boarding school Arc 1
The morning air was still cold when Sakura closed the front door to her boyfriend's house, and began to walk the ten or so blocks home. Naruto's parents liked her well enough to let her spend the night the last two years, but the talk from his mother had been so embarrassing. Sakura smirked sadly as she brought her jacket closer to her body, remembering how angry Mrs. Namikaze had been when she found them sleeping in the same bed three months into their relationship. But they knew her family life after that, much to her chagrin when Naruto said that he told them everything about her.
After that, his mother only smiled at her and she didn't have to sneak in through the window. She still did of course...but she had a key just in case. As she turned the corner to head through the trees that separated the neighborhood down the middle for a shortcut, she caught the sun peeking out over the horizon. It looked different; like it was brighter or something. Sakura glanced at the way the trees blew, the sound of the air was somehow visible to her as the winter flowers seemed to glow despite being dull just days before.
Sakura felt her womanhood throb wonderfully as she paused to touch her stomach fondly, a gentle smile gracing her face. Is this what it felt like when you became a woman? A glow was added to the world around you and made you think of nothing but romance and giddiness? Had Naruto done this to her? If so, then whatever happened in the future was entirely his fault.
It was still another half hour later when she got back to her place, hence why she preferred to bike to Naruto's place and stay the night, among other reasons. Sakura jumped down from the huge tree and landed beyond the bushes that circled her house. She looked up and saw the six bedroom, five and a half bath, three car garage, that was her home and sighed.
Maybe she should have stayed in Naruto's loving embrace. They had finally had sex after all, but she just didn't want his mother walking in on them again, unlike the first time he ate her out and she did wake up the house. Sakura blushed as she moved up the steps. That had been so embarrassing when they'd been at the dinner table only an hour later.
Sakura paused at the door and glanced back, seeing a car that hadn't been there before. Sakura shrugged. Maybe her mother had found a new pool boy to screw around with.
"I'm home." Sakura meekly called out, looking down as she stomped her feet to get some warmth back into them. She only made it ten steps before she noticed her parents were for once up and about, and they were staring right at her.
"W-what's going on?" She asked, wondering what boring company party she was supposed to go to with them today.
Off in the living room, a man stepped out to greet her. She thought it weird how he wore a mask up to his nose, or the way that his hair was white, but then again, a virus had gone around a few years ago and people got used to wearing masks, and his hair did resemble Naruto's in a way so she smiled at the newcomer.
"Hello, Ms. Haruno. I am officer Kakashi, from the state troopers." Oh! And he was wearing a police uniform. Did she forget to mention that?
"Hello officer. What's up?" Sakura leaned back, letting her hand sat in her pockets like a teen who just didn't care.
"I wanted to ask you something. Were you were at the Inuzuka Fur Company last night?"
Sakura shrugged. "Yes."
"So you admit to throwing paint on the furs."
"Yeah. That was me."
Kakashi hummed at that, leaning in to look at her in the eyes. "You don't want to lie?"
Sakura shrugged again. "So what if I did?" She gestured to her parents behind him with her eyes. "They'll just pay for the damages like they always do. They don't care what I do as long as I stay out of their hair."
Sakura rolled her eyes knowing that surely this new dead beat cop that only cared that restitution was paid. Her parents would pay out, they'd say how sorry she should be, how she should act better. Then they'd leave to fuck their lovers and she'd run off to her boyfriend. Sakura wondered how long it took for a guy to want to fuck again? Her loins were ready for more.
Kakashi disrupted her thoughts as his gloved fingers firmly gripped her shoulder. "Not this time, Sakura."
Sakura jolted in place and cast her eyes down to see the officer's fingers spread over her bare shoulder. She slowly looked over, confused at the officer's words. Surely he jested. She confessed without a shred of malice, and it was a statement crime. It wasn't like she stole anything. Sakura looked around him and her eyes widened at her parent's mad faces.
"W-what do you mean?"
"You are to be tried as an adult." Kakashi uttered as Sakura looked back to him in shock. "They're filing charges on 100 thousand dollars of lost merchandise. You went too far this time, Ms. Haruno."
"N-no….no….I mean I…I have a boyfriend...I can't-"
"That boy isn't even worth your time." Her father grumbled from behind his fist.
"Like you even care, dad!"
"Sweetheart, you could at least find a boy who is in your class-"
"You fuck the pool boy, Mom!" Sakura exclaimed; her parents didn't understand her at all.
"Ms. Haruno."
Sakura shivered as she looked back at the officer, realizing that she had admitted to the crime already. S-she was going to jail! "I can't go there. I….I can't." Sakura's voice broke.
"I'm afraid you have only a few choices here. You can go to jail, serve your time there for a year, or…"
Sakura gulped. "Or what?"
The room was cold. The stone architecture only made her shiver more as she tried to pull the classic catholic skirt and blouse she'd been given the moment she got on the grounds closer to her body, but the air still chilled her to the bone.
Currently, she sat on a very small chair, meant for middle schoolers but that must be the point of it, to make you want to be anywhere but here. Before her, behind a nice mahogany desk was a woman of upper pronouncement, and Sakura almost envied the way her cleavage poked through in the evening chill. But the green suit jacket she wore made her look tough and disciplined, as her chocolate eyes stared through dirty blonde hair at her.
"Why do you think you are here, Sakura?"
Sakura glowered back at the older woman. She was already trying to diagnose her, wasn't she? Her parents had already tried that move with her weekly trips to see her therapist.
"You could hear me say the usual. Parents don't care about me. I'm acting out blah blah, blah…"
"You really think they don't care?"
"They don't. I'm just the child they wish would act just like them." Sakura bit back, hiding her tears behind a stone façade. "It was either here or jail. At least here my hands aren't tied."
"For now." The woman spoke as Sakura twitched in place. S-she couldn't do that, could she? Sakura watched the woman look over the file before her and sigh before her. "If what you say is indeed true, then we will take over as your family from here on out."
"What?"
"Here, at St Maria's school for girls, all the students are family."
Sakura sneered at the woman's aim of trying to coerce her into trusting her. "I don't need a family. I have a boyfriend who I want to call and-"
"You can call him in a month after your probationary time."
"But-" Sakura began to retort. She was told she could make a phone call.
"I am the principal here, Miss. My name is Tsunade Senju; do you know of me?"
Sakura gulped. "Weren't you in...the military on tv?"
Tsunade smiled. "When I was younger I rose to the rank of general, but that was a long time ago. After that, I was a senator for three terms in the High Assembly. Then I came to run this school, to mold young girls such as yourself into fine upstanding ladies."
"I am not a lady-"
"You are more than you think you are." Sakura jumped at that as Tsunade's intelligent eyes roamed over her. "You are fashionable in your new attire, you speak well for your age, your voice soft despite trying to sound rude, and I can see the kindness you crave from others bursting from your very pores."
Sakura gulped back her trepidation. This woman was strong, but she couldn't envy her intelligence. This woman was taking away her time with her lover. "I didn't come to make friends."
"Perhaps you should." Tsunade shrugged as she pulled out some files from her desk and began to peruse through them in front of her new charge. "You may find that there are many girls like you here, Sakura. Girls that are misunderstood or crave love but act out when they aren't given it. Ah! This girl will do nicely."
"W-who?"
"Your new roommate." Tsunade looked up as Sakura gaped in surprise before it morphed into a defensive pout.
"I...I've never shared a room-"
"Neither has she. Best to place the both of you together. Come along now. Pick up the pace."
Sakura stood up and stretched as she turned to follow her principle and warden for this school on an island in Mist country. As they proceeded across a walkway three stories above the natural ground, the wind blew up, making Sakura blush as the skirt threatened to bloom up from her thighs.
"You look very nice in our uniform." Tsunade quipped.
"…Does everyone wear this?"
"Yes. We find that it makes you all equal. We let our girls take pride on their personalities and academics over their choice in fashion."
"Hmm."
Up and down they went, through this castle of a school that was interconnected with metal buildings. Sakura followed Tsunade up a winding staircase to what she surmised as the tenth floor and stood before what seemed like a dungeon door. "This is your floor."
"The whole floor? This is a staircase."
Tsunade smirked at her analysis and opened the door, lightly pushing Sakura inside. "This is your new roommate. Play nice girls." And Sakura heard the door close as well as the sound of a metal lock slide into place. By the time she twisted around, the click clack of the principal's heels were already far away.
"Yeah, they lock us in." Came a girl's voice from across the room. Sakura turned to see a black haired devil of a girl looking standoffish back at her, leaning against the wall on her bed. "I'm Ino, and just so you know, I carry a knife on me."
"...I do too."
"Hmm." Ino nodded back to her, looking back down at her book. "Good for you."
"Hey uh...you got a phone?"
"Does it look like I got one, bitch?"
Sakura gulped. She supposed that she wasn't calling Naruto anytime soon.
'Where's the bathroom?' Sakura prayed that it wasn't on the other side of the door. Luckily Ino gestured to the side and Sakura spotted the door to the bathroom. She quietly shut it and then leaned over the sink and let silent tears wash down her face.
She wasn't going to see Naruto again. She was in a whole other country and she wouldn't be able to see him! Even the sound of his voice would be enough to placate her, but she'd have to hold out for a month. Sakura looked at her shivering reflection and bit her lip. The two of them had spoken every day since they got together. His voice was her everything.
"If I'm good, maybe I can leave early." Sakura prayed as she began to strip and step into the shower. She held in her shivers at the cold water. No luxuries here, were there? But Sakura leaned into it and combed through her hair, smiling a bit morbidly. Of course this cold water reminded her of when Naruto and she hiked to meditate under a waterfall. Now that was painful. She had tried to make food for the first time, which Naruto nicely choked on, and she was still amazed how he could be under that torrent perfectly at peace while she fidgeted and slipped off the rocks that whole afternoon.
Sakura closed her eyes and reached for her necklace, and her eyes shot open in realization. 'They made me put it in my bag.' Sakura quickly got out and started to dry off with the single towel in the bathroom. She put on her black panties and bra again and stepped back out.
She saw her roommate look up and cock an eyebrow in her direction, and moved towards the empty bed. "Did they bring my stuff in?"
"Ten minutes before you showed up. Under the bed."
Sakura bent down and picked up the meager amount of personal items. It wasn't like she'd been allowed to bring many clothes after all.
"Damn..." Sakura heard Ino whistle at her. "You have some racy underwear. I bet you get a lot of cock with that getup."
Sakura blushed as she looked back to see Ino's cocky smile, and frowned. "Just one."
"I see."
Sakura opened her suitcase and rummaged through it, but as the seconds turned into a minute, her heart rate increased as her panic ensued. "...No...no...where is it….where-"
"You looking for this?"
Sakura turned and froze as Ino looked back at her, the sapphire blue necklace wrapped twice around her wrist. An angry red hue imprinted on Sakura's face as she moved over, her hand out demanding. "Give it."
Ino shrugged, bringing her wrist up higher to look at it better. "I don't know. I kind of like it. Maybe this could be a gift of friendship, you know?"
"You little bitc-"
"This is important to you, isn't it? I could tell." Ino smirked confidently. "It was the only thing in there that didn't match your personality."
"You don't know me at all-"
"I know everyone pretty well." Ino said haughtily. "This is how it'll go. I give it back, and you be my little servant. You do what I say, and we'll be friends. Deal?"
Sakura shivered with rage. "I'm not making any stupid deal with you. That necklace is priceless to me."
Ino looked back at the necklace and fingered the sapphire in thought. "...Why?"
Sakura's rage quieted, and she looked away blushing. "It's my boyfriend's, okay? It's the only thing I have from him."
"Oh? Is that the one boy you've fucked?"
Sakura glanced back and Ino felt the adoration in her new roommate's quiet voice. "He's the only one I love who makes me not burn the whole world down."
Ino cracked a smile. "Fair enough." She shrugged and tossed the necklace back to her.
Sakura snatched it from the air and looked down at it and then back at Ino with her brow raised. "No fight?"
Ino shrugged. "I have nothing against a deep romance. I can tell you love him, but I've never felt that way before. When I get out of here, I'm fucking as many guys as I can take."
"Go for it." Sakura smirked as she clasped the neck around her neck, feeling just a small part of herself again.
"Hey Sakura?" Ino called out to get her attention. "A fair warning; a lot of girls are going to want that chain around your neck. No weapons allowed and all that here."
Sakura pet her necklace in thought and smiled. "I'd bash their face in before it came to that."
Ino smirked back at her. Sakura suspected that Ino was in here as a minx of a manipulator and a thief, but being her roommate, she had to play nice.
Their thoughts were interrupted by a long sound of a buzzer going off, and Ino slid over to her bed. "Come on. Time for sleep."
Sakura watched Ino get into her bed across the room by the sole window that looked outside. "You don't want to be closer to the warmth? It's cold in here."
Ino shrugged off her skirt and slid into her covers. "I can't take my chances. You could be a cutter."
Sakura lifted her arms blemish free and everything. "Nope."
Ino raised her own arms, the sleeves sliding down to her elbows and in the sole light of the room, small white lines appeared all across Ino's wrists and forearm. "Well I'm not taking my chances on relapsing."
Before Sakura could comment again, the light in the room went out. "What-"
"Yeah, they cut off the power too, not that we're allowed anything that uses actual electricity."
Sakura slid into her bed and turned away, her mind clutching all the details in her mind. She couldn't leave, she couldn't run away, and everything that the principal had said came back to her.
"Hey Ino?" Sakura called out to the darkness. "Can I ask you something?"
"...Sure."
"...Do they really turn us into ladies?"
She felt Ino shiver even though she was across the room. "You'll see tomorrow. They start with us 15 and 16 year olds and by 17, they're hot, smart, and totally feminine."
Sakura gulped at the thought. It wasn't that she didn't want to be smart or hot, but..it wasn't her. She was just….herself.
"...Hey Ino..."
"...Yeah…"
"...You don't really have a knife do you?"
...Nope...you?"
"...Nope."
