The one where Sonic is acquainted with class 1-A and the Sports Festival begins!

After two slow, slow, slow weeks of learning, Sonic was essentially up to date with knowledge about this funky Dimension. He let the information cycle through his head as he trailed after Aizawa. The teacher was finally taking him to meet his class. Sonic had been harassing him about it throughout the entirety of the two weeks.

Sonic fiddled with his uniform pants leg. He had been forced to wear clothes for this whole shebang in the hopes that he'd get more comfortable wearing them. He didn't. He was wearing one of the school's gym uniforms as the Sports Festival was in a few minutes.

They rounded a corner to find 1-A's classroom. He hoped they had powerful quirks.

Aizawa opened the door and Sonic put on his best smile, striding in confidently. Crossing his arms, he stood next to Aizawa getting a good look at the students before him. Once they finally noticed him, hundreds of questions flooded the room.

"WHO IS THAT?!"

"WHAT'S THEIR QUIRK!"

"WHY ARE THEY HERE!?"

"ARE THEY A NEW STUDENT!?"

"ARE THEY RELATED TO PRINCIPAL NEZU?!"

Sonic flinched, covering his ears as the onslaught of questions nearly deafened him. Aizawa didn't tell them about his arrival before today?

"Shut up class." Aizawa hissed, each word punctuated with a full stop. The once rowdy class turned silent. The teacher turned his head towards the blue hedgehog.

"This is your new classmate, he's an exchange student from the United States. He was brought here on recommendation. Go ahead and introduce yourself." He gestured towards Sonic. The hedgehog flashed him a cheeky grin. They had rehearsed the backstory as to why the blue hedgehog was joining all of a sudden, settling on him being a foreign exchange student.

"Nice to meet you all! The name's Sonic, Sonic Harrison! Let's all do our best today, yeah!" he cheered.

"YEAH!" The class matched his enthusiasm. So they were cool, great!

"Who cares who you are, extra?" Sonic made eye contact with piercing red eyes, if looks could kill he'd be in a body bag.

It was uncanny, the red eyes, the glare, he'd probably be the spitting image of Shadow right now if he were a hedgehog. Although, he seemed feral rather then Shadow's pensive and calculating attitude. Whoever this guy was he thought he was hot shit. Sonic would just have to prove him wrong, ay?

"Come on Bakugou, he just got here!" A redhead with shark teeth spoke up, "he's gotta be good if he was chosen to join our class so suddenly!" the ash blonde, Bakugou, kissed his teeth.

"As class representative, I welcome you to class 1-A! My name is Tenya Iida, it is a pleasure to meet you!" So this was the Iida he'd heard about? Sonic took notice of the exhaust pipes coming out of his calves, that must be his quirk.

"Glad to be here rep!" Sonic smiled, throwing Bakugou a cheeky glance, "Might wanna keep that one on a leash though~" the ash-blonde practically erupted, bright sparks coming off his hands. So his quirk had to do with explosions? Seems like his quirk matched his personality.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME, RODENT?!"

"I don't think principal Nezu would appreciate that word," the hedgehog teased, waving his finger towards the angry male. Aizawa awoke from whatever daze he was in, telling the blonde to behave himself and smacking Sonic on the top of his head.

"Don't go picking fights, that goes for all of you," the class collectively mumbled a 'yessir'. Though, it wasn't long before the energy picked back up in the room.

"So, Harrison-Kun-" a clump of moss spoke up, it took the hedgehog a second before he realized they were referring to him. He was not going to be called 'Harrison' by his peers. They just had to pick the lamest last name, huh?

"Just Sonic, please."

"Uh- Sonic-Kun, what's your quirk?" the boy sheepishly continued.

"That's a secret for now!" he shrunk, "I'll tell you one thing though," the boy perked up again. "It's got nothing to do with me being a hedgehog." nodding, he jotted down something in a notebook.

"M-my name's Midoriya, Izuku Midoriya," Sonic gave the kid a thumbs up.

"Maybe you should all introduce yourselves? We gotta get somewhat acquainted, yeah?" The hedgehog addressed the whole class, turning to face Aizawa. "We got time for that, teach?"

"No."

"Wh-"

"Class, collect your gym clothes and head to the changing rooms, we've had enough distractions." the man instructed, voice monotone, "get ready for the U.A sports festival."

"YESSIR!"

The class piled into the waiting room. They sat down on edge as they awaited the start of the U.A sports festival. A life-changing event, every pro-hero watching. Everyone was worried, each in their own way. All except for one blue hedgehog.

Sonic might have only heard half of what the staff taught him about hero society. He didn't think it was interesting, at all. He had come in earlier then the rest of the class, as he was already changed, humming to himself in a corner of the room; The class was shocked at how nonchalant he was. Didn't he know how important this thing is?!

It was relatively peaceful until a half-red, half-white haired dude spoke up.

"Midoriya," All banter in the room stopped, staring attentively at the class's strongest.

"What is it, Todoroki…?"

"On an objective basis, I'm above you in practical strength." The boy referred to was clearly taken aback. He sheepishly looked down.

"Yeah…"

"But… All Might has his eye on you, doesn't he?" By now all attention in the room was on them, even Sonic began to listen closely. Midoriya jolted, taken aback by his statement.

"I'm going to beat you." Midoriya's eyes widened. When the greenette had gathered the confidence to speak up Todoroki was already walking away.

"Todoroki, I don't know what you're thinking when you say you'll beat me, but of course you're better than me. I think you're more capable than most people…"

"Midoriya, you shouldn't talk so negatively-" the red-head interjected. Midoriya clenched his fists, looking up. "I can't afford to fall behind. The students from other courses are aiming for the top with everything they've got! I'll be going for it with everything I have, too."

"Yeah." the icy male responded. Sonic noticed Bakugou's eyes narrow.

"And you, Sonic," so it was his turn now, "I don't know anything about you but, as Kirishima said before, you must be skilled".

"You're right about that~" Sonic would not let his vibes get ruined.

"My declaration extends to you also."

"I'll give ya' more than a run for your money~" the hedgehog replied casually. Todoroki nodded, turning away from the blue blur. Bakugou glared at both Sonic and Todoroki, they'd pay dearly for underestimating him, they all would.

"HEY! PAY ATTENTION, AUDIENCE! SWARM, MASS MEDIA! THIS YEAR'S HIGH SCHOOL RODEO OF ADOLESCENCE THAT YOU ALL LOVE, THE U.A SPORTS FESTIVAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!" Present Mic's loud voice echoed throughout the whole facility, the crowd meeting his pitch excitedly.

"EVERYBODY, ARE YOU READY?! IT'S TIME FOR THE STUDENTS TO ENTER THE FIRST-YEAR STAGE!" Class 1-A exited the waiting room, the light blinding. Fireworks went off as they made their way into the stadium, thousands of onlookers screaming with anticipation.

"THE U.A SPORTS FESTIVAL! THE HUGE BATTLE WHERE FLEDGLING HEROES SHARPEN THEIR SWORDS ONCE A YEAR!"

"ANY WAY, THESE ARE THE GUYS, RIGHT?! THE MIRACULOUS NEW STARS WHO OVERCAME ENEMY ATTACKS WITH THEIR HEARTS OF STEEL! HERO COURSE, CLASS 1-A, RIGHT?!" The crowd went haywire with their arrival. The class made their way to the center of the stadium. Sonic strode near Midoriya, snickering at the greenettes comically nervous face.

"JOINING THEM'S A BRAND NEW FACE! RECOMMENDED BY ALL MIGHT AND THE PRINCIPAL THEMSELVES!" The class turned to face Sonic, who shrugged them off, eyes widening.

"THEY HAVEN'T BEEN GETTING AS MUCH AIRTIME, BUT THIS CLASS IS ALSO FULL OF TALENT!" Sonic noticed the newcomers' approach. "HERO COURSE, CLASS 1-B!" The sister homeroom of 1-A joined them on the field.

"NEXT UP, GENERAL STUDIES! CLASSES C, D, AND E!" the lack of enthusiasm on the general classes was apparent. Sonic frowned, another form of discrimination he presumed. The classes all came pouring out of the waiting rooms.

"SUPPORT COURSE CLASSES F, G, AND H ARE HERE, TOO!" more people piled out, these ones wearing various types of equipment.

"AND BUSINESS COURSE. CLASSES I, J AND K!" Present Mic announced. "ALL OF U.A'S FIRST YEAR HEROES ARE HERE NOW!" Sonic took note of the sour look on the other course student's faces. The sound of a whip garnered everyone's attention.

"TIME FOR THE PLAYER PLEDGE!" So Midnight would be hosting this, eh?

Sonic had met the woman a few days prior, she had tried and failed to pet the hedgehog.

He wasn't one to be touched like that by a stranger, so he lied about his spines being dangerous to pet (which wasn't exactly a lie anyways). She vowed to get him one day, whatever that meant.

The hedgehog's peers blushed at the woman's outfit. Averting their gaze, with the exception of a grape dude whose nose began to bleed.

He thought she'd change into something a bit more modest in front of children, guess not. Though, it's not like he was fit to judge, he'd be walking around here 'naked' if he could.

The crowd held a similar reaction to the R-Rated Hero.

Sonic ignored the hushed ramblings of his classmates, waiting intently for the woman's next words.

"Quiet everyone!" she swung her whip again, a sign for them to settle down. "Representing the students is Katsuki Bakugou from Class 1-A!" the class was surprised, looking at him with confusion. Sonic perked up a bit, he had to be good if he's representative, how thrilling.

"What? It's Kacchan?" Midoriya whispered shakily. Kacchan? A nickname? Sonic noted that down for later.

"Well he did finish first on the entrance exam," a plain looking boy responded. He finished first? Well that ain't happening here. Their conversation garnered the attention of a member of the general course.

"In the hero course." she frowned, eyes narrowed. Midoriya nodded sheepishly at her statement. The plain boy remarked that she probably hates their class, lamenting that it was the fault of Bakugou. Clearly the blue blur had missed out on a lot of class interaction.

A pregnant pause followed as Bakugou made his way up the small platform and towards the microphone. Everyone was silent, awaiting the explosive boy's words. This wouldn't be pretty.

"I pledge… That I'll be number one."

"I KNEW HE'D DO THAT!" Class 1-A screeched in unison. A sea of anger and complaint washed over the rest of the students. Cursing out the ash-blonde menace. Bakugou remained completely unfazed.

Iida chastised the boy, chopping the air intensely. Bakugou scoffed, "At least become a nice bouncy step for me to jump off of." He gave the crowd a thumbs down.

Another dude with shark teeth yelled at him intensely. Was he related to class 1-A's red-head in some way? The angry shouts continued. Midnight interrupted their grievances.

"Now, let's get started right away, the first game is what you'd call a qualifier!" she shouted excitedly, "Every year, many quirks drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game!" a projection appeared behind her, spinning through every option reminiscent of a slot machine.

"This year it's…" the projection landed on something that made Sonic grin manically. "THE OBSTACLE COURSE!"

Sonic zoned out as Midnight began her explanation of the race. His mind doing some racing of its own, as he planned out the best way to go about his fancy display. He couldn't go too fast due to the shortness of the course. Short to him that is.

Midnight mentioned that anything was allowed as long as you stayed on the course. This was getting better and better. The crows cheered as all eleven classes made their way to a starting place. Sonic hung back away from the crowd of eager students. When the race began he'd rowdy up the crowd, just a little.

The lights on the gate began to slowly turn off. The hedgehog was rocking back and forth, waiting would be the death of him. The final light switched off and Midnight yelled 'start'. It was time for him to shine.

Sonic watched as the students all pushed, pulled and scratched at one another, attempting to exit. So the door itself was an obstacle? How clever! The hedgehog took his time, stretching his legs. Midnight watching him with a raised brow.

When Sonic had finished his little warm up he vanished with a blur. Any indication he had been there went with him. He ran around the circumference of the stadium, kicking up dust and dirt. Leaving a blue blur as he went.

He wasn't doing this for show, well, not entirely for show. The hedgehog was building up speed with the intention of launching himself over the assembly of students.

Present Mic paused his commentary, all attention focused on the speedy student.

"LOOK AT THAT! WHAT INCREDIBLE SPEED! WHAT ON EARTH IS HARRISON DOING?!" After being acknowledged, Sonic put his plan into motion, rounding his hundredth lap towards the gate.

Once close enough Sonic put all the force he had gathered into one, powerful jump. Leaving a crater in his stead, the blue hedgehog soared over the other competitors' heads.

Sonic grinned at the sounds of disbelief beneath him.

His grin turned to one of slight shock when an enormous robot blocked his path, not just one but SEVEN!? These were some huge robots. Unfortunately for the robots this hedgehog had battled Gods, and won.

Curling into a ball, Sonic performed his spin attack, piercing straight through the giants metal hull and through the other side. This obstacle course would prove no problem for him. Sonic landed with a skid, looking back at his fine work. Present Mic's booming voice complimenting him once more.

Ice began to form around the large robots, encasing them. The hedgehog watched as Todoroki skated through. Not only had the icy male made it through but a majority of class 1-A. The most notable among them being Bakugou, he had used his explosions to fly over the mess of robots.

Perhaps going to school wouldn't be as unbearable as he thought.

With that, he was off.

To be continued…

I'm terribly sorry, this chapter was getting very long, so I had to cut it short! The next part will be up in a few days though! I promise! I also made a cover finally, the art is by yours truly.

Fun Fic Fact!

Sonic's fake last name, Harrison is a play on the word Hérisson, meaning hedgehog!

My height headcanon for Sonic is 3'5 ft. Silver's at 3'8ft and Shadow is 3'3ft!

A/N- Apologies for the wait! Sonic's ref is taking more time than anticipated! I also finished the fic's cover. I usually work faster but I got a bit sidetracked. The next chapter will have the link to Sonic's ref and clothing options! So look out for that! Thank you for reading.

Also now that Sonic has officially joined up with Class 1-A I've had to re watch the anime I low-key loathe. I prefer to use the manga, but I haven't found a reliable source. The website I originally used would leave out panels, or put them out of order, and that was the most official website I had found.

Sorry again for the long way, i had intended this to be out by last Thursday, but school got in the way as well as some personal business.
