I hope to be able to update every month, but no promises ok! Anyway do let me know what you think! Do review, follow, and favourite :) Hope to be back soon~

Tatsuya walked through the grand looking hallways, as thoughts flew through his head. Noticing the olden French architecture and design he wondered why there was a need to spend such an extravagant amount of money on constructing a school as beautiful as First High. As a status symbol? Students chatted quietly as they streamed past him, looking at his chest where the 8 petaled flower would be. Ignoring the glances, he walked through the hallways that exuded class and grandeur similar to a fish in water. As Tatsuya approached the class, sounds of shouting grew increasingly louder. He began to massage his temples in order to combat the oncoming headache. As he walked in, Erika and Leo were yelling at each other while Mizuki was looking around frantically trying to calm them down. As usual, their classmates were holding on to imaginary bags of popcorn as they watched the soap opera that would follow these 2.

'Well no prizes for guessing' Tatsuya mused tiredly as he approached.

Mizuki's face lit up when she saw him coming. He smiled and waved at her, eliciting a energetic wave as if she was relieved to see him (It would be obvious given how they kept fighting without reason).

"So what happened this time?" Tatsuya rolled his eyes as he folded his arms, eyeing both parties.

"I accidentally fell and-" Leo started

"He groped me! I swear it was on purpose! That good for nothing pervert!" Erika shouted and pointed at him accusingly, her cheeks flushing a colour close to her fiery red hair.

"I swear I did not mean to do that! Who would want to touch you anyway?!" Leo fired back heatedly.

"Calm down you two, save your couple fights for a better time-"

"What!"

"Yuck!"

"And do realise that there are better ways to display your affections for one another." Tatsuya added with an eyeless grin and proceeded to sit as Erika and Leo stared at him, obviously flabbergasted.

They looked back at one another, Erika in contempt and Leo in disgust and huffed, settling back into their seats just seconds before class restarted. Mizuki smiled and mouthed a "thanks" as he returned a smile and a thumbs up sign.

Time crawled on as Tatsuya leaned on his right arm, yawning sleepily. He was bores yet again. Finishing the assigned task within a quarter of the allotted time, he simply sat there dozing, while quietly monitoring his classmates. Mizuki was a diligent worker who went at a steady pace, unlike the fiery Erika and temperamental Leo who proceeded at erratic paces. Tatsuya noticed a boy sitting at the front of the class as he was so far, always the 2nd to complete assignments. Mentally noting this, he decided to speak to him whenever there was an opportunity.

*Ring* the bell rang signalling the end of the day. Tatsuya peeked open his eye and sighed. He had accidentally fell asleep. The exceptionally long lesson had resulted in an exceptionally long break. Coupled with the warm weather, it was extremely conducive for sleeping. Getting up, he saw Erika and Leo approach his table.

Upon seeing the other, they huffed and avoided meeting gazes. Tatsuya laughed as both pouted.

"I'll be meeting Miyuki for some extra curricular stuff so you shouldn't wait for me." Tatsuya said as he waved.

"Alright then. See ya tomorrow!"

"See ya!"

Both answered amicably before making a wide berth around one another as if an invisible forcefield kept them part. Ignoring the presence of one another, they did their best to head home although it was obvious that they were heading in the same direction. As Tatsuya left, he shook his head and walked toward Miyuki's class.

'Good luck with that,' he thought.

Miyuki walked side by side with him at a distance that wasn't normal for siblings. She virtually stuck beside him as they walked quietly toward the student council room, Miyuki smiling while Tatsuya was currently contemplating what he could do to worm his way out of being part of the public morals committee. Seemingly sensing his desire, she glanced furtively at him before saying.

"Onii-sama should be in the public morals committee, after all, it would be a waste of time for you to wait for me after school."

"I could spend my time in the library you know. There are many research papers only found in first high's library" Tatsuya countered much to her annoyance.

She pouted and looked away in protest. Sighing, Tatsuya haplessly let his arms fall to the side.

"Alright Miyuki, you win." She happily wrapped herself around his arm blissfully like a koala hugging a tree. He shook his head.

Sometimes he wondered why he gave into his sister so much.

Reaching the student council room, Tatsuya looked at Miyuki who smiled back at him. Looking at the door that awaited him, he sighed for the umpteenthed time that day. Steeling his resolve, he look straight beside his ever ready and presentable sister before knocking on the door to the depths of the unknown.

"Who is it?" A shrill timid voice came from behind the door.

Nakajou Azusa.

"Good afternoon, I am Shiba Tatsuya and with me is Shiba Miyuki." Tatsuya replied blandly, as he imagined Azusa shiver behind the door.

"Come in!" In came a cheery sounding voice, no doubt it was Mayumi.

Opening the door, Tatsuya bowed beside Miyuki who did the same with poise. Gazing up, one would see a young man about Tatsuya's height gazing toward Miyuki. Walking past Tatsuya who stood to the front of Miyuki, he cast a haughty gaze toward him. Tatsuya looked back, bored and used to much of this treatment while he could sense Miyuki tensing up as her breath hitched.

Giving Miyuki a smile meant to charm others, he definitely did not succeed as he held out his hand to Miyuki, who maintained a practiced smile on her face although it was pretty clear to her Onii-sama that she was about to crack soon.

"Good afternoon, I am Hattori Hanzo, the Vice President of the Student Council. I would like to welcome you to the student council." Miyuki cordially shook his hand, maintaining that carefully placed facade.

"Shiba, do follow me. I'll be showing you the Public Morals Committee headquarters." Mari gruffly waved Tatsuya over as she hopped off her perch of the table in the room.

Before Tatsuya could follow her, Hattori blocked his way.

"Wait, President, I object to Shiba's appointment to the Public Morals Committee!" Hattori glared at Tatsuya who was fairly amused.

At this point, the room's temperature dropped several degree celsius, enough as to simulate a heavy thunderstorm. Tatsuya walked over to Miyuki, whose facade was on the edge of cracking.

"Its alright Miyuki, everyone looks down on those who seem to be weaker than them. After all, they're just all afraid of losing to someone that is of a supposed lower class right? So its fine. As long as we both know what we're capable of, that's all that matters right?" Tatsuya looked and smirked at Miyuki who proceeded to complete her imitation of a tomato before nodding back at him.

All this while, Hattori clenched his teeth increasingly harder as it was evident to anyone and everyone who possessed any form of sentience that it was a blatant dig at him. As he looked at the weed before him that blatantly spewed lies, he could not help but feel angry for he had earned his place as a course 1 student unlike him who could not.

"Being pretentious right now isn't doing anything for you, in fact you're simply winding yourself up further. Why Watanabe senpai, would you want to nominate Shiba to the committee anyway?" It was clear that the only one who was getting wound up was Hattori.

"Well, Shiba is capable of analysing magic before its been cast. So I believe this would benefit the committee as we would be able to better determine the proper offences for uncast magic sequences. Other than that, by introducing a course 2 student, Mayumi and I have agreed that it would aid in forming bonds between the 2 courses while eliminating this sense of elitism that we despise." Mari explained and concluded with a flourish of her hand.

"W-what? That doesn't make sense at all! How do you even expect him to make arrests in the first place then?!" Hattori was getting worked up.

"Well, Shiba would be helpful in the area of identifying magic being used illegally, while course 1 students could help subdue the perpetrators." Mari looked quizzically at Hattori, as if wondering if he was even thinking.

"But such an incapable personnel could never be useful!" Hattori raised his voice.

Miyuki's face darkened behind Hattori. As the temperature plummeted, Hattori turned behind to behold the horrific sight that was Miyuki's calm smiling face that hid eerie qualities of anger.

"Senpai, Onii-sama is more than capable of beating you in any sort of competition!" Miyuki intoned monotonously while displaying her rage subtly.

"Shiba-san, its not good to allow our feelings to cloud matters of fact. Nepotism cannot be tolerated." Hattori spoke to Miyuki as if speaking to a child.

"Hattori senpai, all this while you have been behaving like a juvenile brat. Sinca you have angered Miyuki, allow me to fight for her honour by proposing an official match." Tatsuya stepped between Hattori and Miyuki with a solemn face.

"Y-you actually dare to challenge me?! " Hattori fumed.

"I believe it is a bigger deal for you to have challenged the honor of my sister." Tatsuya bore holes into Hattori, who maintained his composure.

"Alright, we'll meet in practice room 4 half an hour later."

Tatsuya nodded at Mari and swept out of the room majestically with Miyuki in tail.

"Onii-sama, I apologise for that unnecessary behaviour that caused you to step in." Miyuki hung her head in shame as she walked beside Tatsuya.

Tatsuya stopped and held Miyuki by her shoulders. Brushing aside stray locks of silky hair, she blushed and looked away while Tatsuya looked directly at her.

"Miyuki, do understand that I am doing whatever I wish to do as I would like to. I appreciate you standing up for me really, so I would think it would be shameful of me, your older brother, to not intervene. Anyway, it'll surface sooner or later so I doubt there's a real difference." Tatsuya smiled softly as his serious look cracked.

"Hai. Let's go get your CAD! Race you there!" Miyuki hid her face as she dashed off ahead of a stunned Tatsuya.

Tatsuya smiled widely as he loped gracefully after Miyuki, her skirt flying in the wind.

The siblings walked toward the practice room with Tatsuya's CAD case. Within the bullet-proof case made from military grade steel with carbon fiber plates to reinforce it lay Tatsuya's very own Silver Trident CAD that was fully customised and built for himself only.

"Onii-sama, are you going to go easy on senpai?" Miyuki looked up at her older brother as they traversed the white walkway.

"It depends on what you would refer to as going easy." He smirked.

"All I'm going to say is that I don't fancy wasting anymore of anyone's time. This fiasco was wasted too much."

Miyuki's mouth gaped as she nodded. They turned into the practice room that was about to house their official match.

"Tatsuya-kun and Miyuki-chan are finally here! Just about right hmm?" Mayumi announced.

"Sorry for the wait," Tatsuya quickly retrieved one of his twin CADs as he made his way forward to opposite where Hattori was standing.

Hattori glared angrily at Tatsuya while Tatsuya simply gave him a lazy look.

"Let me reinforce the match rules. The first person to render the other unable to fight without excessive use of force that would result in permanent damage to the other party wins. Otherwise, one will be subjected to a forfeit." Mari looked from one to the other.

"Alright then, less talk more action. I believe its time to settle this."

"Alright, 3, 2, 1, go!"

Just as Hattori smirked and activated his CAD his target was gone, before he could blink, a sense of nausea overcame him as he blacked out. Tatsuya lowered his CAD slowly before walking casually back to briefcase.

From Mayumi's point of view, Tatsuya vanished immediately, astonishing her, he appeared behind Hattori. Barely a split second later, psion waves seemed to emit from his CAD, after which Hattori fell. Utterly bewildered, her jaw which had dropped a moment ago, quickly recovered and looked at Mari who frowned questioningly.

Mari got up and walked toward Tatsuya as Azusa and Rin crowded around the still incapacitated Hattori.

"Wait a minute, did you cast a self acceleration spell before the match started?" Mari started suspiciously.

"Miyuki,I'll let you do the honours." Tatsuya pointed to his sister to which the attention shifted.

"Yes Onii-sama!" She brightened as if she had waited for this moment the whole day.

"Onii-sama used a purely physical technique borne from ninjitsu! He is in training with Kokonoe Sensei!" Miyuki chirped brightly

"Kokonoe, why does that sound so familiar...?" Mari mused.

"Oh that Kokonoe! Yakumo Kokonoe Sensei right?" Mayumi exclaimed.

Miyuki nodded eagerly.

"Hmm on another note, what exactly did you do to knock Hattori out?" Rin mused as Hattori roused with a groan.

Helping Hattori to the side, Rin looked questioningly at Tatsuya while Azusa sneaked to Tatsuya's side to admire his CAD.

"I believe I only detected emission of oscillating type Psion waves." Mayumi frowned, her beautiful face turning into a cute pout which Tatsuya noticed at the corner of his eye.

Averting his gaze, he nodded wryly. Being faced with the questioning, expectant faces of his senpai, he sighed and began to explain.

"When the body experiences psion waves that it does not expect, it experiences this rocking motion that causes nausea and ultimately causes someone to be knocked out."

"But how did you manage to generate enough power to knock Hattori out?" Rin questioned.

"Wahh Silver Horn!" Azusa sneaked up to Tatsuya and was currently spazzing at the authentic, limited edition piece of equipment.

Amused, Tatsuya kept his CAD out of her reach while she desperately tried to reach it. The excited glint in her eyes just showed how much she adored Taurus Silver. Ironically, her idol was standing right before her. Deciding to make her day, he handed his CAD over to his small statured Senpai, causing her to coo incessantly.

"Could it be that you generated many waves and caused those compound waves to coincide at the same point?" Rin quickly straightened her back as if receiving a jolt.

"Maybe, maybe not." Tatsuya was impressed with his senpai but nothing betrayed that fact.

"But how could... Tatsuya-kun, you pulled that off then?!" Mayumi exclaimed.

"How on earth could you still be processed as a course 2 student then..."

"Processing speed and casting multiple spells aren't graded... that's why..." Hattori groaned as he sat up.

Mayumi rushed over much to his embarrassment. He quickly stood up and brushed off Mayumi's coddling.

Tatsuya extracted his CAD from his device otaku senpai to her misery. Her eyes traced the movement of the CAD as it left her hands, her expression that of someone who just had something precious taken away from them. Smiling apologetically akin to that an older sibling would to a younger sister, he closed his CAD case. As her eyes shifted to the case, she immediately sprung forward with eyes glittering. Tatsuya smiled and let her do as she wished. Turning his eyes to the presently slightly befuddled Hattori, they locked gazes as he smirked slightly, irking him as his face contorted into a scowl. Lifting his chin, he subconsciously reinstated his status as victor. Hattori lowered his head and slowly walked to Miyuki.

"Miyuki-san, I am deeply sorry for my comment about biases earlier on. I hope you may accept my apology." Hattori bowed.

"It's alright senpai. I hope we can work well together in the future." Miyuki lowered her head in response.

Hattori then straightened his back. Steeling his face as he walked past the phenomena that inflicted the first loss of his high school career, he exited the room. Miyuki squeezed her fists, her fingernails digging into her palms. A large hand clapped her shoulder blades.

"Its alright Miyuki, being upstaged by someone who doesn't seem capable must be particularly painful." Tatsuya protected Hattori.

"But,-"

"Let's discuss this at home alright? We can't keep Mayumi and Mari senpai waiting." Tatsuya smiled.

Giving up, she followed Tatsuya as he walked toward the senpai. Unsure Of what he did was right, he decided to clear his mind.

As Mayumi led the way, she processed what she had seen today. Tatsuya blew away of all students, Hattori, the most experienced and powerful year 2 student, much less in an astounding 2 seconds. Her feelings fluctuated between awe and pride, after all she had been privy to his first battle.

On the way, Mari was held up by a teacher. Signalling for the rest to go ahead, they obliged.

"Alright, Aa-chan, please show Miyuki the ropes, I'll show Tatsuya-kun to the Public Morals Committee since Mari is not here yet." Mayumi announced.

Tatsuya sighed and followed while Miyuki smiled at him through the reflection in the window. Chuckling, he decided that this was probably a worthwhile decision.

Upon reaching the HQ, a sense of nausea overcame Tatsuya as soon as he stepped foot into the hellhole that was the Public Morals Committee HQ. To say it was a mess was definitely an understatement. Equipment lay piled in disorganized piles in every nook and cranny of the room, while paper was strewn everywhere. Even the seats were piled with paper and equipment, making it impossible to move an inch without being afraid of crushing any random piece of equipment or paper.

The look on Mayumi's face described what Tatsuya felt. She looked absolutely horrified at the mess. Apparently, knowing Mari wasn't very tidy didn't help much.

'So much for the stereotype that girls were neater than boys' Tatsuya thought.

Equipment were slip sliding haphazardly in the piles of scrap that belonged to the department. If there was an avalanche, one would surely be suffocated in the mess. Looking at Mayumi, she tilted her face toward him. It was evident that he was having a similar internal struggle as him.

"Well, if this was the Student council, I'd probably ask you to make yourself comfortable..." her voice trailed off.

Tatsuya burst out laughing.

"Its been a long time since I've heard a similar comment from you." Tatsuya beamed at Mayumi as a red hue rose to her cheeks.

"I know its been difficult, Mayumi, for me too, but soon you will understand."

"W-what are you talking about?" Mayumi feigned ignorance.

"Mayumi, you should know better than to try to fool me with those fake smiles and the oh too happy expressions." Tatsuya quickly shot holes through Mayumi's only cover, the hurt on her face blatant and exposed for all to see.

Tatsuya walked closer to her, with each step, her heart pounded ever more quickly. Reaching his hand up to her face, her breath hitched as he caressed her soft cheeks that held that ever so perfect quality of luminescence. Mayumi felt so conflicted, conflicted between the sense of euphoria that came from the electrifying contact that she yearned for so long, and the bottled up hurt she possessed for periods that seemed like millennia.

Suddenly, the sound of the door opening roused Mayumi and Tatsuya From their movement. Quickly backing away, Mayumi uttered a soft 'gomenasai' before turning tail. Mari watched as her friend quickly departed the room with her head down, a rare occurrence. Flashing a questioning look which Tatsuya ignored, she shrugged and made a mental note.

Mari looked at Tatsuya and smiled. She then made her way through the piles of junk, navigating this highly complex and ever changing maze and simply sat on the edge of the table. Tatsuya resisted the urge to express his disgust.

"Do make yourself at home." Mari commented, while Tatsuya Gagged on his laughter.

Its as if Mayumi predicted her friends reaction.

From the questioning look that surfaced as Tatsuya raised his eyebrows at her,it seemed as if she was used to this. Sighing the thousandth time that day, he began to pack up the room much to Mari's astonishment. Half an hour later, the room looked as neat as the Student Council room, apart from the fact that 3 massive rubbish bags lay outside the room.

"Wow no wonder you couldn't stand the room. A magic engineer huh? With your skills you could probably go higher wouldn't you?" Mari asked Tatsuya.

"With my virtually non-existent practical skills, I could at most hope to gain a rank C license." Tatsuya shrugged as he sat down for the first in half an hour.

The door opened and the sound of voices echoed into the room.

"Eh? Wow Onee-san cleaned up huh?"

*Smash* "Ow!" "I told you never to call me Onee-san again right?"

"Hey who's the new guy?"

"Oh, this is Shiba Tatsuya." Mari sensed their gazes on his non existant first high logo.

"He handed Hattori's on a plate in 3 seconds. Looks can be deceiving." Mari added.

"Woah, then great to have you onboard !" Greetings ensued as per any usual first club meeting.
