A/N: Hey guys! Finally I manage to update on time! Thank you so much for the support and motivation! Anyway, do enjoy this new chapter. Do note that some styles may have changed so please do review and feedback! Thank you!

On the outside, Tatsuya looked perfectly calm, but underneath he was bristled. It had been a long time since someone had managed to rub him the wrong way. For a member of a renowned clan that specializes in providing skilled and reliable bodyguards, Morisaki Shun was probably lacking in intellect. After all, who would in his right mind tick someone who was obviously superior in combat off?

He rolled his eyes internally as he strut down the hallways at a brisker pace than usual, displaying his annoyance in subtle ways such as moving with more force than usual.

'I am not gonna let him get the better of me. I've already survived more than a decade of Maya-sama, there's nothing that can stop me!'

Turning the corner, he took a deep breath. The sight that he beheld caused him to sigh in annoyance. The display area was a nightmare. Students were 'haggling' for the new freshmen like goods; people were getting pushed and pulled around like, others were shouting into loudspeakers and flyers were being strewn around in a haphazard manner. Any semblance of order was lost on Tatsuya, the aspiring magic technician was beginning to feel the onset of a headache.

'Disorder is the only order here' He massaged his temples.

Tatsuya strolled onto the courtyard like it was any other day, his usual aloof posture ever present, his back as straight as ever. Behind his passive face however was the urge to blanch. Although the stalls and booths may have been arranged in an order to facilitate ease of navigation while preventing overcrowding, but evidently that didn't seem to work. There was a huge mess of students clustered in the middle, right in front of him such that it was difficult moving. Tatsuya never thought that moving in water would be far easier than moving on land, however, he had come to realise that he had forgotten the human density factor.

Shouts os "Kenjutsu club here!" "Waveboarders yoohoo!" and the like filled the air, this was much more like a marketplace than it was a school at this point.

'I thought high schoolers were supposed to be relatively mature...' However everyday he was faced with evidence that proved otherwise.

Tatsuya made a mental note to give Mayumi a recommendation on how to improve the layout for the next 4 days, this simply would not do to Tatsuya. Clubs that were given booths on the sides of this massive entrance were obviously unhappy, hence they did the most sensible thing: Send members to the center to attract attention. That obviously didn't work very well from a management standpoint. Having such a swarm in the center with the side 'alleys' being relatively quiet was definitely evidence of a lack of success.

Weaving his way in, he spotted a bunch of girls pulling a freshman in all directions. It was like she was being bounced around on a multisided trampoline.

'Ahh of course it had to be her.; He spotted her signature red hair and sighed with a smile.

'Leaving the most problematic day for the freshmen eh? Must be a test. Well whatever, gotta stop Erika from splintering first.' Erika was being pulled and shoved in the center of the biggest human tumour.

With her athletic figure, tone body and fine proportions, it wasn't at all surprising that she would be so called, 'in demand'. 2 groups of girls were presently shrieking while Erika was being jostled and bounced between the groups of students.

Activating his CAD, Tatsuya calibrated and activated 2 psion waves of different frequencies. Instantaneously, all the students in the courtyard suddenly stopped their movements and all doubled over, covering their ears as they groaned in pain. Many wobbled from side to side as others grabbed their booths to stabilize themselves. Tatsuya then sprinted toward the presently disoriented Erika and grabbed her, eliciting a shriek from the red haired girl. He tilted his head such that she could see his face and promptly began to extricate them from the crowd. Maneuvering expertly through the maze of people was one of the basic skills any guardian would require, after all, what's to say one's primary wouldn't end up entangled in a crowd.

Erika huffed as she tried to keep up with Tatsuya's pace. Stopping after turning a corner, he turned back and pointed to the court yard. Folding his arms, she peered at the scene. People were milling around in a dazed fashion, the girls previously treating her as a tug-o-war prize were completely bewildered. Just then, Tatsuya averted his gaze from her as his face coloured just slightly.

"Pity I'm not Leo, Erika, your blouse." He uttered evenly.

"Hmm?" She fumbled with herself as she looked down, to see that the top 2 buttons were undone from the 'scuffle' earlier.

Her face colouring, she led out an unusually girly 'Eek' and turned away.

"You saw didn't you?" She yelled back, her face still red.

Tatsuya rolled his eyes. He had to stop an instinctive 'Duh' from bursting from his lips

"Yes, I'm sorry." He bowed.

Feeling a slight pain on his shin, Erika had kicked him, only to grab her foot in pain. He began to laugh much to her mirth.

"If I was Leo, you would have hit me harder right?" He teased with an all knowing smile.

"Wipe that annoying look off your face!" She still clutched her foot while trying to sound fierce, with the opposite effect.

"Mou, if you're sorry then at least accompany me for the rest of the day alright?" She turned and walked off, not wanting him to spot her rosy cheeks.

"Should I call Leo instead?"

"Baka! No! … Actually I asked him already…"

"Oh… Progress is smooth huh." He poked at her yet again.

"Just follow me!" She stormed off, dust trailing.

'Just the usual~' Tatsuya thought before lengthening his strides to catch up with the huffing redhead ahead.

Tatsuya walked beside her, keeping pace with the now placated redhead. She shifted uncomfortably under the multitude of gazes being cast toward them. It was obviously due to the presence of Tatsuya, his status of being the first course 2 student to be part of any committee probably struck a chord with their senpai. Glares and incredulous looks came from all over, while an occasional friendly smile came their way. Obviously, year 1 course 2 students wouldn't mind the change in status quo as probably only masochists would enjoy being discriminated against.

She glanced to her left where the innocuous young man strode beside her. Looking back, she turned her head back toward the front.

'How could he just pretend he can't feel anything…? Its as if he's a robot.' She thourhgt as she frowned.

"Is there something of the matter Erika-chan?" His face popped up right in front of him causing her to let out a 'Hugggh!'

"I'm sure Leo-kun wouldn't like to see your pretty face this way!" He teased.

"S-shut up!" She tried to slap him.

Evading quickly, he returned to his usual face, albeit a bit of mirth could be detected.

Erika pointed toward one of the halls and began to cut through a lawn to which her current escort followed like a puppy. Noise could be heard emanating from the hall. On further analysis, the sounds were very much akin to chants and cheers similar to 20th century Sumo Wrestling matches. Opening the door, Erika casually strolled in, leaving the door to slam on Tatsuya. Walking through it, he saw the redhead leaning on the railing, watching the action going on below. Flicking her head, he took a place beside her to see an exhibition Kendo match going on.

As Tatsuya expected, it was some form of martial art. The Chiba name long resonated with this field, thus Erika being skilled in this area wouldn't be remotely surprising at all. Suddenly, he recalled Erika using a baton-like CAD. Slapping himself on the head, he chided himself mentally for forgetting such a detail much to Erika's wonder. Blinking owlishly, she turned back to the spectacle that was a predetermined and planned match. Sighing, she slumped onto the railing, with Tatsuya following her lead.

(Erika POV)

Before her stood Mibu Sayaka, the previous year's girls Kendo National Champion. Of all things, why would she ever agree to participate and stage this miserable play-act? It was obviously an insult to someone of her skill level. I huffed and hit the railing with my palm, turning around to lean against the railing in frustration. Tatsuya who was beside me straightened his back and looked questioningly at me.

"Why even bother having an exhibition if its all just staged? I mean, isn't it just plain pointless and boring for people to watch? I don't even understand why there's such a ruckus here about this exhibition match, can't others see its staged?" I let out my frustrations, my voice high with irritation.

It felt good to be able to rant to someone, it's been ages since the last I did so. Tatsuya simply stood upright and frowned before giving me his 2 cents worth.

"Well, not anyone can discern the difference. Only someone with a trained eye like you or me may be able to spot any difference, after all it's not like their practice match is so obviously stiff. Also, martial art in its essence is about killing people isn't it? Wouldn't it be too dangerous for that?" Tatsuya as per normal, spoke eloquently and convincingly in a logical manner, I had to concede.

"Fine, fine, I get it, but wouldn't you like to see actual action?" I prompted.

"Hmm, I'd like to see you and Leo actually get it on. I bet it'll be quite a show."

"T-t-tatsuya!" I tried to suppress the rising blush, albeit unsuccessfully.

"Leo is strong and can last while you have the sharpness and skill. It would be a genuinely interesting match up." He caressed his non-existent beard like a sage would.

Suddenly, shouts began to echo from the first floor, disrupting the chants.

(Tatsuya POV)

Looking down, 2 groups were facing each other, glaring daggers at one another.

*Sigh* 'On my first day, something like that has to happen. Just my luck,'

"Erika, let's go!" I grabbed her hand as she stuttered, flailing behind me as a sped down the stairs.

Pushing our way to the front, it seemed as if another club, probably the Kenjutsu club judging by their similar equipment, had interfered or trespassed the Kendo club's jurisdiction. The senpai Erika pointed out was standing in front of a group of Kendo club members wearing a stern and slightly angered expression while the head of the other group held a smug and relaxed look.

"Sayaka, we as the Kenjutsu club are simply offering help in giving the audience a proper exhibition match of a decent standard."

"Its not the Kenjutsu club's turn to take this area. Do not interfere with our business!" Sayaka aggressively brandished her free hand as if banishing them.

"I'll go if you can beat me in a Kendo match alright?" The senpai looked at his club members for approval, which they obliged.

"Hmmph! Underestimating the Kendo club just because we're mostly course 2 students? I'd like to remind you that unlike Kenjutsu, Kendo uses pure technique." Sayaka raised her chin and retaliated.

The other senpai gripped his weapon even harder, gritting his teeth, he raised it and breathed in hard. It seemed like he still wanted to proceed with the challenge. Sayaka did likewise, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. Meanwhile, I looked at both of them, surveying the possibility that I had to intervene. After all, Sayaka did raise a sensitive topic in course 1 and 2 relations, not to mention, she did trample on the other senpai's pride. Beside me, Erika smirked and snorted. She rubbed her hands in glee, after all, who wouldn't like a good show once in a while? As my eyes flitted between the two, I decided to turn on my recording device just as a form of insurance.

In a split second, both wooden blades flew toward one another. With a loud crack, both blades landed. With both blades landing on their respective target opponents, anyone without the knowledge of such a sport would believe it to be a draw, however, the Kenjutsu club senpai's face gave away his unhappiness. As the blade landed further up his arm than it did on Sayaka, she had won. She smirked while still in that position.

"Accept your defeat Kirihara. I have won without a doubt. If this was a real battle, I would have inflicted much more damage upon you. Now be good and do as you say you would. Be a man of your word."

His eyebrow twitched in anger. Not only did this course 2 student beat him, she had also insulted his honour.

At the side, Tatsuya massaged his eyebrows, surely now this would turn violent?

"If what a real battle is what you want, I'll give it to you!"

He activated his CAD, inputting a sequence for a Oscillation type magic spell that Tatsuya quickly recognised as Sonic Blade. His eyes widened, recognising the dangers as the blade shimmered into existence, his Shinai glowing, with the signature loud glaring sounds that emanated along with it. The crowd groaned as many covered their ears to protect their sensitive organs from the sound. Then, the blade flashed toward Sayaka who quickly evaded the blade clumsily, she was obviously flustered.

Tatsuya saw red. The blade again flashed across toward Sayaka who was practically defenseless at this point. Sayaka's eyes widened as she frantically dodged the attack, her footwork was unusually sloppy, probably courtesy of her shock. Just as the second blow was about to rain down on the wooden blade, Tatsuya injected himself between the 2 and activated 2 psion waves, one from each CAD, causing everyone in the vicinity to falter and cover their ears. Kirihara dropped his weapon and Tatsuya swooped in to capture his senpai. Disarming him and bringing his arms behind him in a lock took less than a second before he subdued him by pushing him to the floor. As he hit the ground, a cracking sound was audible. Keeping him in position, Tatsuya immediately called Mari to inform her of his current predicament.

"Who is that weed?! How did he take out Kirihara senpai?!"

"What! A weed can be a public morals committee member?!"

Angry Kenjutsu club members began to converge upon his position.

"Why did that bitch not get arrested?"

"As I clearly stated, Kirihara is under arrest for improper use of magic. Emphasis on improper." Tatsuya said that much nonchalantly.

"You brat! Giving us the attitude! We'll show you!"

Sensing danger, Tatsuya quickly cuffed Kirihara before standing up. Spotting a punch headed his way he swiftly shifted to one side. The senpai, as overbalanced as he was, took a trip to the floor.

"Careful there, if you land on your senpai, you might aggravate his injuries."

"You!"

The exhibition hall quickly became a one-sided brawl where fighters went falling all over the place without much effort from Tatsuya. Feeling a steely gaze on his neck, he turned around to see a senpai in a robe staring keenly at him. His arm betrayed the egalite wristband which he was wearing. Narrowing his eyes, he decided to push one Kenjutsu member his way just as he turned around to head off.

*Oof* a tangle of legs obstructed the exit. Quickly, he extracted himself from the mess and glared at Tatsuya who simply raised his chin as a simple warning. Looking around. he shrugged as groans sounded from the bodies lying all around the floor. Even Kirihara couldn't be seen. Clearing the way for a stretcher that came, Tatsuya met gazes with Sayaka, to whom he nodded grimly before making his way back to Erika.

"Let's go Erika. I've gotta do a report. How troublesome…" He massaged his temple.

"Haha well its kinda your fault since you did curse it yourself didn't you?" She sent him a cheeky smile.

"Seems like Leo has been sharing a few too many things about me to you." He deadpanned, waiting for the result.

"Hmmph! My relationship with him is none of your business!" She snorted and crossed her arms.

Chuckling, he simply hit her on the back gently as they proceeded back to the main building.

"So, are you joining any club, Erika?"

"Nope. The only one I would even consider would have been Kendo, but seeing as I have nothing to learn there, I guess its pretty much pointless. I'd just prefer to spend more time studying." She thought out to Tatsuya who nodded.

"Very practical Erika. That's good. Well then, I'm gonna have to go this way. See you then." He waved as they departed, one heading to finish a report while the other headed back home.

Later that day, a very tired Tatsuya emerged from the Club Management committee room looking very much worse for wear. Juumonji definitely showed that he truly belonged to the 10 master clans after the grilling he got. Sighing tiredly, he began to walk. A few steps later, his mobile terminal received a mail. He stopped at hearing the long forgotten mail notification. It was Mayumi's, more specifically, she had insisted he use this tone for her mails. Opening the message,a one liner popped up on the screen.

'WAIT! (\°o°/)'

Turning on the spot, he heard the door click open and Mayumi dash out, her hair flying. Somehow or other, no matter what situation she was in, she would always seem beautiful and mesmerizing, such as now. Whipping her head down the other end of the corridor, she looked toward Tatsuya and bounded over.

"Mou Tatsuya you walk quickly!" She pouted.

"Hmm. Yes I have to. Mobility is important." He scanned her body posture, trying to detect her intent.

"Let's walk while we talks shall we? I assume you'll be going to pick Miyuki up?"

"Right as usual. Are you a stalker President?" He smiled suggestively

"N-no! Anyway I wanted to talk about the incident today. You protected Kirihara today right?" She looked at him with concern.

"In confidence, yes. I felt it was needless to expose that Kirihara used a rank A combat spell. Since he seemed remorseful and understood my point of view when we spoke, there wasn't any need to punish him unnecessarily, besides the flak and backlash on the student council and the committee would have been much more severe given that I am a course 2 student." Tatsuya explained to Mayumi who nodded and smiled.

"I see. Tatsuya-kun is still as kind as ever." She blushed.

"A-anyway Tatsuya, thank you for helping the students out." She sent him the first genuine smile he had seen from her since school started.

Averting his gaze, he shook his head silently and smiled bitterly. After all what did this all even matter if he couldn't even protect the one that needed it the most? Quickly, that sad expression changed into a smile.

Walking side by side, both felt at ease. Surrendering their defences, their mutual presence soothed each other.

Reaching the door to the Student council room, Mayumi reached for the handle of the door. Right then, a hand grabbed her own in an iron grip. Looking up, her heart rate spiked and she unsuccessfully tried to stifle the rising blush. Tatsuya smiled sadly at her as his right hand reached the door knob. Their gazes still interlocked, he uttered a simple sentence left her stock still. As he entered, his smile vanished.

Alone outside the room she would find solace and bury herself with work to hide all the pain, a glimmer of hope reignited. Clutching her chest that housed a heart beating so fast that it rivalled a motor, she mentally replayed that sentence that meant the world to her.

"Mayumi, I've really missed you."

(Mayumi POV)

The smile, his voice, everything just made her want more, made her remember all the times they had together. The simple comfort in his presence soother her, allowed her to be herself without fear of anyone judging. That was what Tatsuya did, he opened up her world, opened it up from a dull colourless black and white to a world full of colour. That was what impact Tatsuya had on her. When he left, there was this undeniable, irreplaceable void that she felt, a void like a blackhole, some thing that sucled the life out of her. And right now, after 3 years, he reappears in her life yet again, this time as an even more mature young man. His charm had developed, to the point that most females in the school knew who he was. Gossip would be heard everyday, talking about his person, looks and whatnot. Mayumi just sat there in her seat, pretending that she didn't hear anything, but she heard all. It had hurt when Tatsuya no longer seemed flustered at her actions, her words and gestures, thus she had decided to let him go.

But all that resolve simply crumbled away moments ago when he said those few words. His eyes that showed sorrow, and the smile that was as genuine as ever really bared his soul to Mayumi. He meant what he said. Still out there listening to her beating heart pound, she thought about his person, oh how he had changed. From the stoic young man that he was, he had evolved into an expressive, mature young adult who was clear headed, mature in his thinking, and undoubtedly kind hearted. Her heart swelled with pride.

Shaking her head, she cleared the thoughts from her head and told herself that it was way past the time to finish the admin work she had tasked herself to do. It was already 6pm, yet she had lots to do. Entering the room, she was surprised to see Tatsuya working with Miyuki. Miyuki turned to see her. Poking Tatsuya, he turned his head as well with a smile.

"Mayumi-senpai! I thought that since you had a lot on your plate, Onii-sama and I could help you! I hope you didn't mind!" Miyuki smiled happily.

"A-ah… Thank you Miyuki-chan and Tatsuya-kun, the help is much appreciated!" Her chest warmed with gratitude toward her friends.

"Alright! Let's finish this off quickly so everyone can head home alright!"

"Yes Kaichou!" Tatsuya mock saluted, causing Miyuki and herself to laugh.

The trio walked side by side just like old times. Mayumi smiled as she began to skip along the pavement like a carefree child. Right now, her image didn't matter. All that mattered was that her best friends were beside her. Soon, Miyuki joined Mayumi as both skipped along, hands intertwined.

"Miyuki-chan is taller than me now!" Mayumi pouted.

"Yayy I'm taller than Mayumi-senpai!" Miyuki chirped as they all laughed.

"Anyway, I'll be parting ways here." They stopped in front of the station.

"Let me know if there's anything I can help any one of you with alright!" Mayumi bowed slightly and smiled.

Making her way to a car, Tatsuya and Miyuki stood at the pavement waving. The Shiba siblings then continued on their way back home where promises of a warm and full stomach awaited them. A comfortable silence passed between them as they walked, each aware of the other and at ease until Miyuki broke the silence.

"Onii-sama, I heard you made an arrest today?" She peered up at her brother who nodded

"Mmhmm. It was a senpai the Kenjutsu club who used an unauthorised spell against a member of the Kendo club."

"Ohh… No wonder… I sense that Onii-sama is preoccupied with something other than the arrest." Miyuki subtly hinted.

"Hmm that. I doubt its safe to talk about this here, so maybe reaching home first would do? Anyway, I let the senpai off without a severe punishment." Tatsuya shrugged.

"A wise move as usual Onii-sama!" Miyuki smiled.

"Anyway, I might need to contact certain individuals for help regarding this anomaly."

"Onii-sama, may I sit in this time?"

"No problem, be my guest. After all it's good for Miyuki to know what is going on in my life as it may affect yours too." He said so as he softly massaged her head, causing her to croon in her head.

"Hai!"

A sumptuous and nutritious dinner was served as per normal. The sounds of cutlery clinking filled the cheery atmosphere of the house. Tatsuya paused as he finished his food.

"Today, I saw a senpai from the Kendo club watching me, he was wearing an Egalite wristband." His voice was a serious as could be.

Both Miyuki and Honami paused and looked at each other, wearing a frown and thoughtful look respectively.

"Egalite is one of the organisations related to Blanche?" Honami offered.

"Blanche, the organisation that wants to end Magic superiority. This would be troubling." Miyuki added.

"That's exactly the case. That's why I would like to give Major Kazama a call just to inform him and maybe pick up a bit more information with regards to this."

"I'll allow you, on one condition." Honami decided quickly.

He waved his hands for her to continue.

"I'll be present as the Situational Advisor that Maya-sama had me installed as."

"Alright then. I'll be phoning him at about 10pm." Tatsuya informed them. Standing up, he distributed the remaining food to a protesting Miyuki and Honami before heading to the back to wash the utensils and cutlery.

Miyuki smiled as she ate, happy that even though her Onii-sama could have relied on her to wash the utensils, he did not.

All three stood side by side, with Tatsuya in the center. The loud ringing of the dialer echoed through the sound proofed room. Tatsuya did a cursory scan for spy equipment using Elemental Sight just split seconds before his Commanding Officer, the CO for the 101 Magic Equipped Battalion picked up. He saluted sternly while the 2 beside him did likewise.

Kazama saluted back before starting the conversation.

"Good Evening Special Lieutenant, Special Advisor and Shiba-san. What business brings you to contact me yet again?" He asked with interest, his arms professionally kept at his sides.

"Sir, I'd thought to inform you that Egalite is currently being involved in First High."

"Oh, that may be troubling. As much as Egalite may only be a branch of Blanche, they are dangerous nonetheless. Do take note of their behaviour and motives."

"Yes sir. One of their members seemed to have taken an interest in me. He was watching my fight intensely as if observing me. Preparing to destroy them may have to be an option." Tatsuya added.

"As far as I see it, you're right. Exercise discretion at all time. Let's hope this doesn't turn out ugly. Anyway, Blanche have recently been much more active in Japan than usual. It is highly likely that they might want to access some information in First High, especially since your school holds the highest levels of access to documents related to magic. I'd watch the library if I were you." He pointed out.

"Alright. Thank you for your time Major. Have a good rest and do let me know if there are any more developments."

"Likewise, Tatsuya, likewise." They saluted each other before the line was cut.

"Documents hmm… It might be good to note that." Honami said thoughtfully.

"Onii-sama, are you afraid he will discover our secrets?" Miyuki asked with utmost concern.

"Not really. Meanwhile, I'll go look through the archives again as soon as possible." Tatsuya shook his head and replied.

"By the way, Honami, Miyuki, want to spar?" He smiled as he asked them.

"Sure!" "Mmhmm!"

Soon after, sounds could be heard echoing from the basement of this seemingly normal household.

"Goodnight Miyuki," Tatsuya hugged his sister as per their daily routine.

"Goodnight Honami," He hugged her as well before trudging up the stairs to his room.

Sighing, he turned off the lights and tucked himself in. Reaching for his mobile terminal, he deliberated for a while before deciding that it was best to inform Mayumi about the situation and the possible repercussions it might have on the student population.

'Mayumi, would you mind meeting Miyuki and I at the station so we could walk to school together? I might have some unpleasant news'

*Somewhere else in Tokyo*

The theme of an old movie series, Star Wars, woke up a sleepy Mayumi. Sitting up in her bed, she rubbed her eyes adorably and ruffled her bed hair that still looked gorgeous by any standards (not that anyone was there to see it) before unlocking her mobile terminal, pondering why the sound seemed so familiar. Seeing the name of the sender, everything clicked into place. Mayumi had insisted on Tatsuya giving her a special ringtone so he did likewise for her. Looking apprehensively, her heart pounded. It had been ages since she last received mail from him. Looking at the unopened mail, it beckoned to her despite her strong logical urges to ignore it. Surrendering to her emotions, she opened it and sighed in relief. It wasn't anything major. Typing a quick reply, she turned off the device to prevent any more disturbances to her beauty sleep, before turning in for the second time that night.

*Back at the Shiba household*

Tatsuya silenced the annoying tone by opening the mail only to see this:

'Okie! ^^'

Rolling his eyes, he smiled before he tucked himself in again and began his attempts to travel to the land of dreams (and nightmares).

Tatsuya mechanically prodded his fork at the piece of grilled chicken that was on his plate. Although the aroma was definitely enticing and mouth-watering, it was pretty obvious that his senses had been dulled. Saying he did not sleep well the night before did not cut it. An eye suddenly popped into his vision. With dark purplish hair hanging down toward his plate, he jumped back, startled. Honami smirked and picked up his plate. Cutting a piece of chicken, she moved it toward his mouth like a mother would do for a child.

"Say Ahhh!"

"Stop it Honami! I get it! Sorry for that, I love your food but right now I'm really just tired." Tatsuya frantically waved his arms in front of him.

A soft 'Plop' could be heard from the sofa. Looking over, while rubbing his eyes, he saw a bedazzled Miyuki lying on the couch, her limbs sprawled all over the place. Her hair covered her face like it would in a ghost movie. Seeing this rare sight, Tatsuya began to laugh, he laughed so hard that he choked. Miyuki looked up and pouted at Tatsuya who simple mouthed a sorry as he tried to regain his breath. At that moment, the flash of a camera blurred his vision. Honami grinned and showed a peace sign before attempting to escape. Both Miyuki and Tatsuya bolted after Honami with cried of outrage and embarrassment.

Yet another morning.

As he descended the stairs, Miyuki was hopping up and down at the entrance.

"Onii-sama! We're gonna be late!"

Seeing his watch, he realised they were supposed to meet Mayumi in 5 minutes. Panicking, he yelped and dashed out of the house, muttering a quick goodbye and began to grabbed Miyuki's hand, eliciting a 'Wah?' before they headed toward the station by her hand.

Mayumi stood there anxiously, checking her watch for the thousandth time in the short span of time that was 5 minutes. Her brow creased with anxiousness as she unknowingly bobbed on the spot, looking left and right for the dynamic sibling duo. She had not slept well that night, having spent 2 hours flipping continuously in bed, then waking up an hour before her stipulated waking time, but nonetheless, her energy level was unusually high for certain untold reasons…

'Tatsuya is late!' She pouted as she thought.

It was definitely a cute sight for any passerby, a stunning high school beauty with luscious bright red eyes pouting in a cute manner would definitely attract everyone's attention. Frowning, she looked at her watch again. Tatsuya was never late, until now that is. Then, in the corner of her eye, she saw a tall boy holding a beautiful younger girl by her hand, rushing toward her direction.

'Speak of the devil.' She thought as she smiled and began to wave whilst tiptoeing.

"Tatsuya-kun! Miyuki-chan!"

"Morn-ing, Ma-yu-mi" Tatsuya panted while Miyuki did likewise.

She smiled, her heart warmed knowing that Tatsuya thought it was worthwhile to run for her. Pointing toward school, she raised her eyebrow. They began to walk at a leisurely pace, one that Mayumi did not often take, but decided that she should accommodate the tired and presently breathless siblings.

"Mayumi, I just thought you might want to know that one of the Kendo club seniors is in Egalite."

Her eyes widened before returning to their original size.

"Tatsuya-kun, how do you know such sensitive information?" Her mind immediately began to link the possible events and conclusions, but stopped herself.

"Anyway, what's more important is that I suspect they may soon be active. Take note, Kaichou." Tatsuya purposely emphasized Kaichou to remind her of her duties to the school and its student body.

"Thank you Tatsuya-kun, I'll refrain from asking how you know, but can I ask you and Miyuki-chan to monitor the first years? After all it's most likely that any organisation would go after the most easily influenced. Course 2 students especially, although Course 1 students may be discussing the weird perceptions and campaigns going on." Mayumi explained her request in the usual systematic, orderly and logical manner.

"Tatsuya-kun, you're staring." Mayumi blushed and averted her gaze as Miyuki resigned herself to this situation.

"Mmhmm yes I was. Anyway, I think we'll have to split here. Enjoy classes Miyuki and Mayumi!" He waved as they splintered to move toward their own classrooms.

Little did they know, Tatsuya would be too right.
