So, Jane suddenly found herself with the boy who offered her another car of his collection so that they could play on the floor.

"What car is this?" he asked and pointed to the red car he had given Jane. The brunette smiled. "It's a Corvette. Another sports car from the previous century." She said and he looked amazed. "You know everything about cars, don't you?" he asked in awe and Jane laughed softly and shook her head. "Not everything. But I sure know the classics." She stated.

"Can you teach me?" he asked and took out two more cars of his pocket. She glanced at him and realized that tears were threatening to fall from her eyes. "Of course." She mumbled around the lump in her throat as she took the cars and named them. She watched him turn the cars in his hands. "My grandpa gives them to me." He spoke and Jane nodded. Arthur seemed to be okay to her while Constance seemed to be a bit hostile and stiff.

"Are you sad?" the boy asked, and Jane shook her head. "No, why?"

"Because you're crying." He stated and moved closer. He was on eye level as she was sitting on the floor, and she smiled. "I'm just happy to meet you. That's all." She said with a smile. He touched her arms slightly and glanced at her tears. "I'm happy to meet you too. You are a very nice person." He said and Jane wondered if she could hug him.

She couldn't believe that she had been part in producing this miracle and was about to reach out when the door flew open, and Angela appeared. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed when seeing the boy. Jane saw her hands coming to her mouth. "He looks like… Oh my god." Jane chuckled as she watched Angela sit down in shock. She nodded to confirm her mothers suspicion and Angela started to cry.

"Madonna mia! Que miracolo!" she exclaimed, and Jane smiled at Harry. "Why is everybody crying when they see me?" he asked silently and Jane shrugged. "Because we are happy to meet you. This is your grandma Angela by the way." She said and pointed towards her mother. He glanced over to her and then fled into Janes arms deciding that Jane was safe. She felt his arms around her neck and ruffled her hand through his dark hair.

Brown eyes met brown ones and Jane somehow felt that there was no reason to doubt that he would like her.

"Are you hungry?" Jane asked and Harry nodded. "Okay then. Grandma Angela is a great cook. She makes the best pancakes in the world and im sure that she would love to make us some." Jane said and he let her lead her towards the café by the hand. Jane didn't care when people stopped and watched them open mouthed. She didn't care about the gossip and hushed words behind her back.

But she did care when she crossed Frankie's path who had become an officer recently. Her brother was balancing a pile of donut boxes towards the elevator when he saw Jane and the boy. He dropped them all to the floor.

"Janie?" he exclaimed, and Jane waved. "So, this is Uncle Frankie. He's my younger brother and he has only begun to work as an officer. So we have to forgive him for dropping the donuts." She winked and Frankie huffed, playfully hitting her into the shoulder. "And Jane likes to make jokes and to tease." He stated. Harry bent down to shuffle the boxes together and Frankie gave Jane a questioning glance. "Later." She whispered as she helped Harry.

"Can I help Uncle Frankie?" he asked, and Jane saw Frankie nod. "He obviously needs help." Harry quickly whispered to her ear as they were still crouching, and Jane laughed. "Okay. Uncle Frankie will hopefully bring you back when the pancakes are ready." She said and ruffled one more time through his hair.

"Tell ma to make some pancakes for me. It's my break after this." He said and Jane watched them disappear into the steel cabin of the elevator.

Jane was bored out of her mind by Maura's conversation with her parents, but she smiled politely and sipped her coffee wishing she had gone with Frankie and Harry. Angela was still composing herself in the kitchen and Jane tried to catch a breath.

I have a son. She thought and smiled dreamingly into her coffee cup. "And you are detective Rizzoli?" Constance's voice made her snap out of her dream. "Yes." She replied and Maura explained proudly that she was one of the youngest detectives who had made the rank. Her mother wasn't impressed though.

Thankfully, Frankie returned with Harry and Harry was wearing an officers cap. It was too big, but he looked cute and Maura and Jane took out their phones at the same time to take a picture. Angela brought three plates of bunny shaped pancakes to the table and went back to get the three salads.

"Really?" Harry asked glancing at the bunny's. Frankie seemed to be pleased and asked "What?" when he found Jane and Harry staring at him. "I like bunnies. They remind me of my childhood." He shrugged and took a bite. Harry seemed to pick up the flow and now seemingly couldn't decide what to eat first. Jane watched Maura silently cutting the bunny into parts. Dissecting the ears from the head, the head from the body and so on. Oh yeah, she was a Doctor Jane thought and grinned.

"You could have told me!" Angela said when jane walked into the kitchen, her hands full of their plates. "I would have if I had known Ma." She said and leaned against the counter. "Thank you for the pancakes." She whispered.

Angela gave her a soft smile. "You really didn't know?" she asked, and Jane shook her head. "I met him ten minutes before you. And god I would have recognized him as my son without seeing him. He yelled like a Rizzoli."

Maura had sent her parents off to the Cods where they owned a house. Harry had been tucked safely into his bed half an hour ago and this left just the two of them in the living room. Harry had insisted for Jane to come with them, so that he could show her the rest of his car collection and she had played with him for a while ignoring the size of the house or that the house was in beacon hill. She had known that Maura was rich all along. But as long as Maura had been at her place she had felt like an equal.

Now she felt totally out of place and only hesitantly accepted a beer from Maura. "I should go." She whispered feeling highly uncomfortable in this house which was worth more than the operation would have cost.

Maura shook her head. "No, please stay." She said softly, holding Jane's arm with a soft touch of her hand. Jane looked around. "This…" she said pointing to the house. "I can't…" she whispered, and Maura smiled. "It's just a house. Nothing more. Don't let this come between us. Please Jane. You know that this has got nothing to do with us." Maura whispered softly and pulled Jane gently into a hug.

Jane took a deep breath. "Please at least tell me that the paintings are copies." She pleaded and Maura laughed softly at her joke. "Would you come to bed with me?" she asked silently, and Jane took another look around and then at Maura's eyes. Yes, she was still the same and this had nothing to do with them. She nodded and Maura heaved a sigh of relief as she took Jane's hand and led her to the master bedroom.

"This is us." Maura whispered as they softly kissed in the dim light of the lamp. She softly moaned when she felt Jane's tongue battle her own and hands gently roaming over her body. Jane nodded. "Yes. This is how it started." She simply said. She had never bothered over Maura's expensive flat because she had never seen their relationship as durable. But now she tried to ignore the hugeness of this house and that Maura was richer and that she should be married to some fancy guy not a detective.

But Maura wanted her. She wasn't into money. Jane had never heard one single word of complain about her one-bedroom apartment. She had never heard one single word of complaint about the quarter she lived in. Nor the cheap coffee machine or the worn-out sofa. Maura wasn't that she thought and suddenly felt relief. She let herself fall into Maura's arms and let Maura hold her for a long time until she finally fell asleep.

Initially she had intended to talk about how they would handle things that night, but they hadn't.

It wasn't even light when the door to the bedroom got pushed opened and Harry padded into the room to crawl under their covers. Jane felt him push into her arm as he found a spot between Maura and her. She heard him give a content sigh before he fell asleep again. His cold feet stuck towards Jane's shin. But Jane simply endured the cold, and it made her smile.

"I'm sorry." Maura apologized in a whisper as Jane glance to her, but she simply shook her head.

"Good morning." She whispered in return and the last clouds of worry were leaving Maura's face as she smiled back over the boys head. "Good morning." She whispered. Their hands met on Harry's belly and he sighed contently as he slept on. They stared at each other for the longest time until Jane had to pee. Only then she realized that she had no razor. She glanced at the stubbles and shrugged. She and Maura had taken the following days off for personal reasons and she doubted that Harry would mind. Maura wouldn't, of that Jane was sure.

And as if to confirm she felt Maura's hand stroke over her cheek. "Nice." She whispered and Jane chuckled softly. "Yeah?" she whispered, and the blonde laughed. "Yes." This was becoming an insider between them and Jane smiled. they slowly moved away from the boy and silently walked out of the room and into the kitchen.

"It's been a while since he's done that." Maura explained. "I think he looked for you in the guestroom and then came to find you with me. He likes you."

"So, I made him show a bad habit." Jane asked not sure what to make out of this information.

"Its fine. We'll give him the time he needs and by next week we'll make him stay in his room again unless he's sick. Then he can sleep in our bed."

"Our bed huh?" Jane scratched her chin.

"It is our bed, isn't it?" Maura asked shyly reaching for Jane's hand. She pulled the brunette closer and Jane nodded. "I like that. It just sounds so strange." She said, taming Maura's fear by caressing her cheek.

"So, you want me to move in?" Jane gingerly asked and Maura nodded. "I know it's been a short time since we have known each other like this and I still owe you our second date, but it feels right Jane." The blonde murmured against her chest.

"And Harry?" Jane asked silently.

"Already accepted you. Maybe its instinct. Maybe he just likes you." Maura smiled and lifted her head to lock eyes with Janes.

"What's he going to call me?" she swallowed and cringed.

"How about Jay?" Maura simply said. "Could be short for Jane. That's how you called yourself when we made him.

Jane thought about it and Maura gave her time. Then she bent down to kiss Maura on the lips. Soft and gently. "Okay. That sounds perfect." She muttered under her breath. "Damn, we'll have some explaining to do one day." Jane joked and Maura squeezed her tight. "We will do it together. It will be fine."

Jane watched a sleepy Harry pad into the kitchen. "Good morning buddy." She said and Maura turned but didn't leave her arms. "Morning." He said and joined their hug.

Jane and Maura busied themselves with making breakfast and Jane watched amazed how Maura made him stand on a chair to give him a chance to help her with the scrambled eggs.

"Jay? Have you seen that?" the boy called out after flipping a piece of egg through the air. Maura had told him that he could call Jane Jay and he loved it. So much that he kept calling her all day for all sort of things.

"Jay? Can you tell me what car this is? Can we go swimming Jay?"

Jane chuckled and scooped him up easily and he laughed in excitement as they went to another of her secret bathing places. Then she threw him into the water und Maura's scared eyes. "I have to brothers. I can handle it." She said and Maura nodded, still scared.

Jane wore swim shorts and a t-shirt, while Maura wore a hot bikini. The boy giggled again as she threw him one more time. He was already a good swimmer and Jane promised to show him how to use the rope in one of the coming days.

Jane obviously enjoying her time with Harry. "You have to throw mummy." Harry said and Jane glanced towards Maura who shook her head and gave her a warning look. "I don't think that she would like it." Jane said. Harry looked a bit disappointed. "But that doesn't mean that we can't do it." She laughed and made her way to the deck where Maura jumped to run. But Jane caught her, and they fought their way to the water until they fell from the deck.

Harry clapped his hands as they reappeared laughing. Jane nudged Jane. "You are so going to pay for this Jay." Maura said and wiggled her eyebrows. They barbequed upon coming home and Jane let Harry watch as she grilled some steaks and a sausage for his hot dog.

"I love you." Jane mumbled as they crawled into the sheets later that night. Maura smiled. "I love you too Jay." She strokes over the growing stubbles and Jane chuckled. She loved when Maura called her Jay. And this was to become her nickname at the precinct. Everybody would believe that it had come from Harry and Jane was fine.

"I can easily see us having another one." Maura turned serious and Jane glanced at her in the dim light. Jane nodded. "But not right away, right? Maybe in a year or so." Jane said and Maura agreed. "Yes, we need to practice first." She purred as she let her hand go to Janes back.

"Practice? I thought were past that. We did well without practicing that much." She joked and Maura laughed. "True."

"It must have been hard." Jane said with a sad smile while Maura drew circles onto her back. Janes head was resting on her propped up elbow. "I mean having a kid with twenty. Raising him, taking care of your career." She elaborated.

"I wouldn't say that it was a piece of cake. But I managed well. He's a good boy."

"You did a great job raising him." Jane mumbled and kissed Maura softly as their bodies rolled together. "I was always hoping that he was from you." Maura silently said. "Why the other guy?" Jane asked. "We weren't exclusive… experimenting…." Jane nodded. "I had a nice hand job at the sperm bank." She giggled and Maura shrieked.

Jane laughed. "Yeah, kind of awkward but also kind of nice. I thought about your words of experimenting and so." Jane shrugged and Maura punched her before kissing her again. "Yeah, it was a crazy spring and summer." Maura muttered.

"It really was." Jane admitted. "I used to sit a lot by the creek after you had left." Jane softly said. "I felt close to you there."

"Oh Jay." Maura whispered and caught her lips for another soft kiss. "But as ma says: love always finds a way." Jane smiled and gently touched Maura's breasts gently. "And Jay says we should start practicing. It's going to be morning soon and then we won't be alone anymore."

Maura laughed hard and so did Jane. They made slow love to each other until they were too exhausted to do some more and fell asleep.
