Hey there guys, glad some of you out there actually like this. I do have a small bit of hope that someone will pick it back up, but I'm not holding my breath. There's a petition to bring the show back if y'all haven't signed it yet and want to, otherwise I'm gonna keep going, for me and those of you that are reading this story if nothing else. So, onward to the next chapter :)

Julie POV

We all sat around, talking for as long as we could. The best we could come up with for the moment was the boys hopped on an overnight bus from San Francisco to here, sleeping at a station for a bit on the way in between buses. There wasn't any better way to explain their sudden presence….and why they'll need to stay in the garage. Hopefully we won't run into Luke's parents anytime soon, or anyone from their past other than Trevor…. or Bobby. Carrie DM'ed me on Instagram, congratulating me on a good show, letting me know she went…with her dad. So, he knows something's up, can't wait to see how that pans out. The conversation tapers off, now almost 1 AM, thank god it's Friday night. Carlos wanders off first, yawning hard, Flynn walking him up to bed before heading home herself. Reggie and Alex were surprised to find themselves sleepy, eyes drifting closed as they slump in the chairs. Luke and I sat in comfortable silence before I stand, not letting go as I pull him up with me, lifting a finger up to my lips as we walk out of the garage. I start humming 'Perfect Harmony' as I'm closing the garage door behind us.

"What's that song you're humming?' Luke asked quietly. I smile softly in response, looking up at him. I pull out my phone, showing him the lyrics I dotted down after the song formed in my head. His grin widens as he reads, starting to sing a moment later, "Step into my world, bittersweet story bout a girl…."

He pulls me with him as he sings, and suddenly it's even better than it was in my fantasy as we dance and sing a song about striking the right chord with the right person. As we sing the last note, it escapes me for a moment that the chest I'll be spinning into this time will actually be Luke's, until I am. I stop, freezing with my hands on his shoulders, his arms stopping around my waist in response. I then run my hands slowly up and around his neck and shoulders, keeping my eyes locked with his as my hand holds the back of his neck, bringing him closer. A moment later, our lips meet suddenly, sparks literally flying between us at the contact. We wrap our arms tighter around each other, deepening the kiss. Time stopped for a moment in my head as we moved against one another. It started up again when we parted, both of us grinning like idiots. I set my forehead against his, laughing softly before taking a deep breath, gazing into his eyes.

"So, are we….?" He asks quietly.

"I think it's safe to say yes, we are official," I responded just as softly. "Wanna come up and hang out for a bit? We can watch a movie, cuddle or something, if you want…"

"I want," he says, laughing as he hugs me. We turned, heading for the house, arms wrapped around each other and holding hands at the same time. We walked in and up the stairs quietly, sure to not disturb my dad. Managing to slip into my room in one piece, him and I settled in the bed, laptop placed between us. We snuggle in, me still amazed that he feels solid, warm. I end up showing him one of my favorite shows that ended a few years ago about some little lies and big Ass problems that stem from them for some very pretty girls. It's insane, and I wanted to show Luke how tv has changed over the years, since the guy was last watching stuff during the era of OG Full House so yea. Imagination, and variety has grown, but still has so much more to go. You know, like when a streaming service has a fantastic show with amazing POC representation, and it gets cancelled for no seemingly sensible reason? I mean, what do I know. He gets into it, squeezing me tighter during the romantic scenes, kissing me a few times in tandem with the couples on screen. It was nice, just spending time with him and no crisis looming over us at the moment. I'm sure one's around the corner, though. But we were content right now and that's what matters. I was drifting off not too much later, finally settling down from the day's roller coaster. Woke up on my own though, he must've sucked or poofed out sometime after I drifted off. I get up, throwing on a pinkish orange peasant button up top and jeans, trying to steel myself for this huge tale I'm about to spin to my dad, good thing I have Carlos for backup. I head downstairs, running the story through my head when…I hear voices, like everyone's, including Flynn's. I turn the corner, and yep, they're all together. My face broke into a wide smile at the sight, happy the boys looked so…. alive. Taking it in for a moment, I felt so light at seeing all my favorite people together. It was everything I hoped for, even before last night. Have no idea why my mom did this, but something tells me this was meant to be.

"Guys! Oh my god, what are you doing here? Dad?" I looked around questioningly.

"They showed up earlier this morning, soon after I came down, and the food smell woke up your brother. Flynn showed up not long after. We've been talking all morning; I can't believe you were hiding them so close by! Reggie and I have a lot in common apparently," my dad was so animatedly excited, and I couldn't help laughing in response.

"San Francisco isn't SO close, but alright if you say so," I responded, still grinning. I paused as I reached Luke, unsure how to greet him after last night, don't want to move too fast for either of us. We lock eyes, and he gives me that look before closing the distance, wrapping his arms around me and planting a kiss to toe top of my head. I place my arms around his waist in response, glancing between him and my dad.

"I pulled your dad aside almost immediately after we got here. I-I told him how special you were and all I wanted to do was help that grow. So, we're good." I squeeze him tighter in response, happy that everything was working out. This shit has been nuts and we need a sense of normal amid our hella abnormal situation.

"Yea he was bouncing on his toes outside, he was so nervous," Reggie commented. I chuckled in response, soaking it all in, when the doorbell rang. Who could that be? I walk over, opening the door to find…. Nick? His whole vibe just felt, like, different and it was fucking weird, but I kept a smile on my face as I took some flowers he handed me with this weird smirky grin that didn't look right on his face. I closed the door over behind me without thinking about it, placing myself fully in front of him, blocking his view of the house behind me. Something just didn't feel right, but I didn't let it show.

"Hey, thanks for showing up last night, I appreciate the flowers too, but I'm actually in the middle of helping my dad with something, so I'll just see you on Monday, ok?" I try to keep my tone even and light, thankfully succeeding as I did my best to get rid of him and quick.

"Sure, no problem sexy I'll see you later," hey says, winking and sauntering off. There's definitely something not right going on with him, but I'll shelve it later for when we can talk about it without my dad around. I set the flowers down on the side table, looking up to see Luke watching me. I could tell he was a bit jealous, but I just rolled my eyes and gave him a reassuring look.

"It was just Nick, congratulating me on a good show. Oh, so where are you guys going to be staying?" I questioned, sliding myself back in between Luke's arms, content at the easy affection already between us.

"Well, they told me that none of them really have good homes, and that's why they came here. So, I told them they're welcome to stay here for as long as they need to. I trust the two of you to be careful and responsible and that's all I've got to say about it. You boys have helped her so much, giving you a place to crash is the least I can do. Are you all still in school?" he asked, waiting expectantly.

"They've been doing virtual learning I think," I responded quickly. "Even though things ended quickly with the virus, with everything that was going on for them at home, they thought online school was smarter at least for this semester. Principal Lester will likely let them transfer in though, she saw them perform when they helped me." I brushed over the subject quickly, having a theory I wanted to test later. Breakfast was ready then, so we were saved more questions for now. We ended up spreading out in the living room since there were seven of us. Nestled in between Luke's legs in from of the couch, this house finally felt full and alive again, and I loved it. Whatever happened next, we'll be ok.

Alright, there y'all go, slightly longer second chapter for the wait, hope you like it. Maybe leave a review, hope more Fantoms find this because I am determined to finish this story, also let me know if there's a specific song that you want to see them 'perform' lol. See y'all in the next chapter :)
