I do not own Frozen.
It was July 2nd in the year 1824. Two sisters lived in a castle in Arendelle. One was named Elsa. The other was Anna. Elsa was three years older than Anna, who was 3 years old at the time. There was something different about Elsa, though. She had the power to control ice. She was ashamed of herself, unlike Anna, who was jealous. Elsa felt like an outcast; a freak. Anna looked up to her. She thought her big sister was an angel from heaven.
The two loved each other very much. They did pretty much everything together. They had a mom and a dad. Their names were King Agnarr and Queen Idunda.
Right now, Anna and Elsa were in bed, sleeping. They shared a room, mainly because they wanted to. Anna's eyes were closed tightly. You would never expect that they just popped open. She sat up in bed. Her gaze meant Elsa, who had her back facing her sister.
" Pft, Elsa, you awake?" Anna asked in a whisper voice.
No response. Anna tried a few more times. She groaned when she realized Elsa was far from awake. She got out of her bed. She shook Elsa back and forth. Elsa muffled something before snuggling deeper into her covers.
" Elsa, wake up," Anna commanded.
She shook Elsa again. Elsa groaned and took her hands out of the covers. She pushed Anna's hands away. Anna kept nudging her, though.
" Anna, go back to bed," she demanded.
" But I wanna build a snowman," Anna said.
" There's no snow to build a snowman with, besides it's late in the night," Elsa told her.
" Aw, please, make it snow, please, Elsa?" Anna begged.
" Okay, fine, but just for a little bit," Elsa agreed.
Anna nodded her head. She and Elsa snuck out of the palace. Anna kept giggling. Elsa used her powers to make it snow. Anna tried to catch the snowflakes on her tongue. Elsa couldn't help but laugh at her little sister. The two of them began building a snowman. They would do this every night. Anna would wake Elsa up, Elsa would reluctantly agree, and they would sneak outside to have fun. Afterwards, they would go back to bed.
The next morning, Anna struggled to wake up. She moaned and whimpered while tossing and turning in bed. Elsa woke up due to the loud sounds coming from her sister. She looked at her. Anna was super sweaty, her cheeks were flushed, her nose was stuffed, her ears were red, and her stomach was growling in pain. Elsa shot up in bed.
" MOM, DAD!" she screamed.
Agnarr and Idunda ran into the bedroom. Anna was having a hard time sitting up. Her parents rushed over to her. Elsa was already there, hovering over her sister. Anna was really sick. Nobody even knew what she had. They considered it the flu or some sort of virus similar to the flu. They thought it would go away in a few days. It did not. Anna stayed in bed for two weeks. She barely ate or drank anything. Agnarr and Idunda had to take her to the hospital. The doctors put an IV in to put fluid in Anna's body.
A few months later, Anna was still sick. Elsa was worried she wouldn't make it. The doctors didn't help by saying they can't figure out what it is. They didn't even know if Anna was going to make it or not. Anna kept getting hotter and hotter.
Two weeks later…
" Huh."
Beep. Beep. Beep.
" She's awake! She's awake!" Elsa announced.
Doctors came rushing in. They checked a few things and gave Anna a check up. She seemed fine, other than the fact that she was super hot. However, after a few minutes, the heat went away. The doctors just finished explaining to her about what was going on. Elsa embraced her sister.
" Thank god you're alive, I didn't know what I was going to do without you," she expressed.
Anna returned the hug. She had to stay in the hospital for a few days to make sure she was okay. Everything went back to normal after she was released from the hospital. The two sisters went back to sneaking out when they're not supposed to. Anna seemed to be okay now. Elsa was confused about all this. The doctor's couldn't figure out what it was. Anna was above three hundred degrees. She should be dead. How was she alive? Not that Elsa wasn't glad Anna wasn't alive. She thought maybe Anna had some secret power too. She wouldn't realize she was right until much later.
Four years later…
Things haven't really changed much. The two sisters were much more aware and careful now. Elsa had matured a little, unlike Anna. The two sisters didn't sneak out that often, anymore. It was mainly because they got caught. It was nighttime. Anna's eyes were closed tightly, but, of course, they popped right open. She went over to a sleeping Elsa, who she shook aggressively. Elsa swatted at her hands.
" Elsa, wake up, wake up," Anna whispered.
" Anna, go to bed," Elsa demanded.
Anna refused. She got on top of her sister. She shook her roughly and crazily. Elsa just pushed her off of her.
" Oof," Anna grunted.
She got up. She looked outside then back at Elsa. A mischievous grin crossed her face.
" It's snowing," she whispered in Elsa's ears.
Elsa's eyes opened. She looked outside to see for herself. Her face lit up as she turned back around.
" Let's go," she commanded.
The two sisters rushed outside. They danced and played in the snow. They made snow angels. Of course, they built a snowman.
" What should we name him?" Elsa asked.
" Hm, how about Olaf?" Anna suggested.
" Sounds good," Elsa agreed.
Anna got an idea. She turned to face her sister, who frowned at her mischievous grin.
" Alright, what are you thinking?" Elsa inquired.
" I was thinking you can make those snow mountains appear, then I would jump from one to the other," Anna answered.
" That sounds dangerous," Elsa stated.
Anna stared at her. Elsa smiled.
" Let's do it!"
Anna smiled. She and Elsa laughed as they had fun doing a dangerous act. Anna began going to fast for Elsa, who began to panic.
" Anna, slow down, be careful!" she exclaimed.
" Why?" Anna asked.
She jumped into the air. Elsa's blast hit her in the chest. She fell to the ground with a grunt. Elsa gasped before running over to her sister. Anna laid on the ground unconscious. Elsa shook her sister.
" Anna, are you okay? Anna, please! I can't lose you for real this time!"
Anna popped up, making her sister jump.
" Aw, now I feel guilty," she mumbled.
" Ugh, Anna, you had me worried," Elsa rebuked.
" That's why I feel guilty," Anna replied.
" I think that's enough fun for tonight. Let's go back inside before we get caught." Elsa said.
Anna nodded. They both headed back inside. Anna would have no idea how different things would be now. And all because of one mistake.
To be continued.
