Breaking Through the Clouds
Ever notice the way the stars reflect in the water on a cloudy night? No, you don't, do you? That's sad. Most people can't see it, but it's there. The stars, they're trying to break through the clouds, light our little world, but they can't. That doesn't mean they're not trying, though.
It's like Dad says, no matter how weird things get, they can always get weirder. Dad's smart like that.
People think I'm weird, but I'm not, really. Have you ever seen the Loch Ness? Now she's weird. And a little scary. Dad and me visit her sometimes. She's kind of my friend.
Though, I have human friends now, too. Harry looks out for me. He looks out for everyone, really. He's supposed to be our savior, right? We've got these storm clouds coming, and he's the only one who can blow them away.
Neville looks out for me too. He's great, Neville, even though he doesn't see it sometimes. He's still trying to break through his clouds.
My clouds are⦠different. But then a lot of things about me are different. I have this cloud for Mum, but she often manages to break through it. She may not be in my life anymore, but she's still in my heart, still guiding me. I've got a cloud for lost friendships, and that one is slowly dissipating as I find more people at Hogwarts I can trust. I've got a cloud for love that hasn't even been broken yet, and a cloud for my future, which only has a sliver of light coming through.
Sometimes you've just got to trust that the clouds will go away. Bad stuff happens, but the good stuff will always be there too. So even if it's hard to see, like the reflection of the stars on a cloudy night, it's always there.
