Getting Onwards

Several days later. Ibara, Haruto and Mihiru were out enjoying themselves peacefully. Not too long ago, Mihiru had made friends with a young woman named Yukimo, and she was happy since.

Even though by now, she had only met her once. But that didn't bother her. And her adoptive parents were happy for her. "Glad she made friends with someone who is not a Coppelion," Haruto told his wife, "Someone who is free."

"Well, that is true," Ibara agreed, "But I thought we agreed not to talk about that again." "Right," Haruto said, "Sorry, my bad." "Ah, move on," Ibara said with a smile. Just then, Mihiru ran up to them. "Hey, mom and dad," she called.

"Hey, Mihiru," Ibara replied, "How's it going today?" "Doing great," Mihiru answered. So the young girl sat down with her parents. "So what would you like to talk about?" Ibara asked. "Well," Mihiru began, "I was thinking, what did you want to you when you were younger?"

"Well," Haruto began, "It all began with a certain place." "Yeah, it's something like that," Ibara added in. "There's a place, and right now, actually for a very long time, it's dangerous and we were chosen to go there. I think." Of course, they were talking about the now radioactive Tokyo city and the purpose for the existence of Coppelion, but they decided not to go into full details about that in front of Mihiru.

"It's rather complicated," Ibara added in. "That's okay," Mihiru said. "We'll tell you in further details later," Ibara said, "Someday. All we can tell you is that we wanted to see this city in the first place. And that's it." "Ok," Mihiru replied. "That's it with the complicated stuff," Haurto said, "Let's talk about other things."

And they did until Mihiru ran off to play some more. And when it is night time, everyone went home, and once the futons had been set out, Mihiru immediately fell fast asleep. Ibara and Haruto decided to go to sleep, too. "I think we can call it a day," Haruto said.

"Right," Ibara replied, "But, maybe one day She can make her own choices." "Yes," Haruto agreed, "But for now, let's let her have fun and explore on her own." "Yes," Ibara agreed, "She has the freedom to do so. But still-" "I know," Haruto agreed.

And a few minutes later, both husband and wife fell fast asleep, too. However, Mihiru already know the place that her parents were talking about and she didn't need the Internet to figure it out. She decided in her sleep that someday, she'd tell her parents.
