Strangely Not Active

The following morning, the family had just finished their breakfast and they prepared to go out for their morning walk. Mihiru had just finished her breakfast and thus, ready to go. "Ok, mom and dad," Mihiru said, "I'm ready!"

"Of course you are," Haruto replied. "Oh, come on," Ibara replied, "It's not harmful to be ready right now." "I know, my love," Haruto replied. It was only 9:00 am in Japan Standard Time after all. "Oh well," said Ibara.

"Come on!" Mihiru called excitedly. "Right," Haruto replied, "I'm coming. Hold your horse." "Well, give us a chance then," Ibara said. "Ok," Mihiru replied happily.

Eventually, both Haruto and Ibara got ready and they headed out with their daughter. "Ok, speedy weregan," Haruto said, "Now it's time." "Ok, dad!" Mihiru chirped and the three headed out together. But something wasn't quite right with Mihiru that morning.

Although she started out strong today, she started to feel tired very fast. "Are you feeling all right?" Ibara, starting to get concerned, asked her daughter. "Sure, mom," Mihiru replied, "I'm okay." "I'm not so sure," Haruto objected. "But dad," Mihiru replied, but that's when her sleepiness started to show.

The next second, Mihiru collapsed. "Ok," said Ibara as she immediately grabbed her daughter before she hit the ground. "Oh," Haruto exclaimed. "You okay?" Ibara asked. "Yes," Mihiru answered, "I'm-" "Mihiru," Ibara said seriously, "There is something wrong with you." "But mom," Mihiru replied, "Well, I guess you're right."

"I know," Haruto said, "And, uh, when did you fell asleep last night?" "Nine," Mihiru answered, "But I was up at two in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep until much later." "I think seven," Haruto said, "A guess."

"Yes," Ibara replied. "Well, that's that," Haruto said in response, "I knew those extra ice creams were a bad idea." "That is true," Mihiru replied, "I agree." "All right then," said Ibara, "Never mind our walk now. Let's get you home so that you can go back to sleep."

"Ok," Mihiru yawned, "Mom, my eyes hurts." "Can I say 'twice the way'?" Ibara said. So, without another word, they took Mihiru home and she slept in that morning. They got out a futon and Mihiru fell fast on top of it. "Sorry, mom," Mihiru replied. "It's no problem," Haruto said calmly.

"Please," said Ibara, "Rest now." "Ok," Mihiru yawned, "Sorry." "No problem," Ibara replied. So, Mihiru fell fast asleep. "Perhaps we should make plans for the future," Haruto said to his wife. "Right," Ibara said, "We should get back to what we were created to do in the first place. But on the other hand."

They said no more that morning and just relaxed.

"Wait a minute," Ibara said suddenly, "Where the radiation did you hear the word 'weregan'?" "From a cartoon?" Haruto answered sheepishly.

It was way past afternoon when Mihiru was feeling better. "Now I'm ready," Mihuri said as she got up. "Well," said Haruto, "Eh, it's just one day. Don't worry."

And thus, they had a great time together for the rest of the day.

And Mihru stood awake for the rest of the day. But going back to sleep that night is another story.
