Chapter 6

I am Emma Swan

Mary Margaret put her hand on Emma's forehead, "You do feel a little warm, maybe the walk was too much for you."

"No, no I'm fine, really it wasn't the walk, I want to go again, please I'm good really."

"All right, I didn't see Mr. Cassidy to tell him how well you did today but I did get you some lunch."

"Thank you, Mary Margaret, I'm not hungry right now but I will eat it in a bit. I promise." Emma said with a smile hoping to appease her maid, so she'll leave her alone. That boy was real, she knew it and she needed to know where he came from.

"I'll be back in a little while, so make sure your lunch is gone by the time I get back. Eating well is a sure way of getting your health back although greasy cheese sandwiches and plain tomato soup may not be the best thing for you."

Emma chuckled, "I'm sure they're not but they really are my favourite. It must be a guilty pleasure or something."

"That it must, okay well I need to go clean up the kitchen and do some dusting, I'll be back soon."

Emma watched the petite brunette leave before she got up and walked around her bedroom. "Okay, so I saw a boy outside, and then the same boy was in my room. A room that is locked and I can't get out of. God I must be delusional. I did have a mental break down, didn't I?"

"Who are you talking to?"

Emma jumped, startled. "Where do… how do… Who are you again?"

"I told you, I'm Henry, Judy's best friend."

"But I'm Judith and I don't remember you."

"That's because you're not Judith!"

"But…I…am…" Emma started to say but felt dizzy and swayed. Henry quickly reached out for her before she fell to the floor.

"Don't fall or that weird lady will come back, sit down on the bed."

"Thanks kid, I'm all out of sorts today, maybe that walk was too much. Or maybe I should eat something." Emma said as she picked up half her sandwich and took a bite and sipped her milk.

"I like grilled cheese too."

"Yeah? They were feeding me cherry and asparagus sandwiches, but they were gross."

"Huh."

"What's the huh for?"

"Well Judy's favourite sandwiches are asparagus and cherry cheese, and you don't like them."

"I…well, um maybe my tastes have changed?"

"Right, you're not Judy and they've locked you in your room."

"I had a nervous breakdown, keeping me here is best for me. I was violent at first because, because…"

"Are you alright?"

"I'm feeling dizzy again I need to lay down."

"Does this happen a lot?"

"Uh I think, well once I've eaten, I always need to lay down. I get sleepy." Emma slurred as she lays down on her bed.

Henry walked over to the tray and sniffed the remaining food.

"Here, try not to eat the food they bring you." Henry told her as he reached into his backpack and pulled out a container of snacks, he usually packed for him and Judy. "It's all of Judy's favourite snacks."

Emma looked the container and then up at the boy, "Why?

"Something strange is going on here and the lady who brought in your food was acting weird too."

"She's actually like that all the time."

"I just think maybe they could be I don't know doing something to your food."

"Why should I trust you? How do I even know you're you or not a ghost or that I'm having another break down and just talking to myself?"

"I am real and whatever is going on in this house is not right and Judy is missing. The gardener is new and that maid, and the husband and old woman don't seem right. And Judy would have told me if she got married, I know she would. My mom doesn't think so, but she doesn't know Judy like I do."

Emma just stared at the boy; he had trusting eyes if that made sense. She didn't know if it was the meds or overdoing it with the walk or what, but she trusted him. Something about what he said about nothing in this house was right made her question it too as if she had before. She tucked the container under the spare pillows.

Henry took the remaining food from Emma's plate, wrapped it up and put it in his backpack then took her soup and milk and dumped it in the sink in her bathroom.

"There, it looks as if you ate it all. Judy and I have another friend, Archie, he works with the police and private detectives he might be able to help. He's away right now but when he gets back, I'm sure we'll figure this out."

"Sure kid, um thanks for the food."

"No problem." Henry replied as he walked around the room and over to the small table by the chair. He eyed the notebook and the paper with the signatures written over and over. He looked up at this woman who said she was Judith and wondered what was going on. He quickly took out his phone and took a picture of the notebook and of the imposter.

"Hey kid, how did you get in my room? The door is locked I can't get out unless someone lets me out."

"I ahh, it's a secret. I don't know who you are, I've never seen you before and I've been coming to Storybrooke since I was two. I met Judy when I was five, she helped me and …and… and I don't know if I can trust you. You say you're Judith and I know you're not and she hasn't replied to my texts or calls, and I don't know what's going on here!" Henry said getting more upset as he went on.

"Hey, hey kid, slow down. Henry. Hey. It's okay, you don't have to tell me. But will you come back? I'm…I think you're right when you said things are not what they should be. I…I think, I don't think I'm supposed to be here."

"I need to go."

"Okay but will you come back please? I…you're the only person who, I don't know, trust? I trust you Henry, and please just come back?"

"I will, I'm not sure when but I will. Can you look the other way?"

"Yeah, yeah sure kid, just come back." Emma said as she turned her head towards the chair, but she knew he was gone already. She turned her head, and no one was there. With a heavy sigh she went over to where Henry was standing wondering how he got in and out of this room. "Please, please let him be real."

"Ahem, Mr. Cassidy, Mrs. Cassidy. I just wanted to let you know that Judith did well with her walk. We cut it a little short because she had a little stumble but is fine, I think the more she gets out the better." Mary Margaret reported to her employers.

"Splendid, I'm glad it helped. You're doing a wonderful job with her Mary Margaret; Neal and I are so pleased."

"Thank you, Mrs. Cassidy, Judith is a wonderful person we had a little rough go at first but we're like best friends now."

"Wonderful."

Mary Margaret smiled, gave a little head nod, and left the room to prepare dinner.

Neal downed his drink and poured another, almost finishing that one as well.

"Neal, slow down on the booze, will you? You know what you're like when you've had too much."

"Yes Mother, you love to remind me every time I walk near the bar!"

"Neal! Don't raise your voice to me! If you hadn't had drank so much and lost your temper, we would be in the Caribbean by now!"

"No, we wouldn't have. Judith wouldn't listen, she wouldn't do as I said! I was just showing her who was boss. I didn't… I didn't mean to strike her so hard. But she wouldn't listen!"

"Neal, calm down you don't want Mary Margaret to hear you. What's got you like this anyway?"

"The gardener fellow told me that boy was here again today to see Judith. He's going to be a problem Mother and we need to deal with him and now."
